Noodle King in Chelmsford

Extremely poor delivery service ! Almost delayed by 1 hour. Very disappointed!! One of the dishes ordered not that good.

Wrong food delivered. Instead of samosa chaat got just burnt samosa. Very hard pastry Instead of chapli kebab got tandoori chicken, very dry no flavour. Instead of butter naan got plain naan. I will never order from here again Ripping off customers.

The Taste was really bad and it felt like i had a rice with broth

Recommend the lamb chops really good. Nicely prepared food and well packaged. Maybe a few more chips in the portion would be better.

I dont normally leave reviews, but had to with this . I don't think this was an Indian meal, tasted more like a cold microwave meal. even the rice was like uncle Ben's microwave. it was late, cold and inedible. I wont ever order from here again. I think its a chinese/Indian combined, maybe stick to the Chinese side . sorry

Food took an hour and a half to arrive. We’ve ordered from here many times previously but now the food has changed. Not sure if it’s a new chef but the flavours are different. Very bland and lacking ingredients in regularly ordered dishes. Might have to find a new Chinese!

AVOID!!! MOULDY CHICKEN!!! Ordered takeaway which was delivered with mouldy cooked chicken, how this even got past any quality control is beyond me!!!

The food was 20 minutes late and was cold. Due to hungry children I heated it up which impairs the quality of the food. The beef in black bean sauce had hardly any beef in. I would like this resolved.

Food was very late, called restaurant after almost 2 hours, to find out it had delivered else where, so had to wait another hour for replacement food, By which time my guests had left. extremely Disappointed

my order was delivered early and hot although the sauce for the spare ribs was a too salty for my liking, but iwill definitely order again.

We’ve ordered from Noodle King in the past and always found the food to be nice however, our most recent order has put us off all together, the food was inedible, it was incredibly salty to the point we couldn’t eat the food, only one out of the 4 meals turned up correct the others were given some random meals with one of them containing whole nuts (thankfully no one has a nut allergy!) very very dissatisfied and won’t be eating here again

Spare ribs missing on delivery

the food arrived late, without the option of live tracking and when we phoned up AFTER the delivery time section had passed they had only just left the restaurant, the food was bland and my sweet chilli squid, the batter was undercooked. The only things that were warm when arrived was the food in the middle of the bag that held in heat.

last time I ordered I ended with a refund on the chicken. tried again today and rice wasn't edible, satay sauce was a jelly block. was really disappointed and it was the final nail in the coffin. won't be ordering again.

We’ve ordered from Noodle king before and never had a problem, it’s always been a really great Chinese however, this time we are very dissatisfied the food was salty and I mean inedibly salty! One out of the 4 meals we ordered was correct with one containing nuts when it never has before! (Thankfully no one in the house has a nut allergy) the chickens had a great breakfast the next day, very disappointed and am likely not to order from here again unfortunately !

All food was cold duck was not edible at all was rock Hard and cold, CRISPY chilli beef was SOGGY rice cold all cold. After seibg the du j and trying others threw away, resturaunt did not answer phone.

Originally on time the food wasn’t right and took over an hour and 20 to re deliver one meal. The food was really poor I would not order again. Also when I was chasing them to see how long and where is the delivery the staff lied multiple times.

Unfortunately we had missing dishes so we called restaurant who said delivery driver was on his way back. He arrived with still the wrong dishes and by now the food we had got was getting cold. We were told by the delivery driver to call restaurant again for a refund on the missing dishes which we did and we are still waiting for a refund! Won’t be using this restaurant/take away again, very poor service with no apology 🥲

Over priced due to greedy owner

Ordered food with just eat and paid cash and tipped the driver. 2 dishes were wrong, I called them, they said they’d re-deliver incorrect items but it would be a while, and I suggested they could just give me the cash back and I’d return the items, and they agreed. They did NOT return my money OR replace my food, and they don’t answer my multiple phone calls I made both last night and today. Second time I’ve ordered from them and second time they’ve got half of it wrong. Terrible service. Don’t waste your money. Food isn’t that good.

Ordered from this restaurant through Deliveroo at 8:30 pm and it said estimated time of arrival at 9:15 pm. (Restaurant using their own drivers) It turned 9:45 and I contacted Deliveroo live chat and they told me they called the restaurant and it’ll be another 20 mins. Waited 30 mins and spoke to them again and they said another 5 mins. 10 mins later we called the restaurant ourselves and they said it’s on the way. It finally arrived at around 11:15 pm and the food was cold and not very nice. Deliveroo only refunded us £9.85 and we had paid £30 plus for this order. Won’t order from here again.

The first delivery was 30 mins late, I had to re order as it was wrong order, then the next order took hour and half, had phone call from driver who couldnt find address, eventually arrived and was just warm. Over all experience took over 4 hours from placing my order. Dreadful!!

Delivery driver said he was on his own and no one else to deliver. Hence he was so late .Called restaurant several times and kept being told it’s ‘on the way’. Food was sweaty and not good quality when the last time we ordered it was superb. So disappointed. The problem with this app is they get your money no matter what. Won’t be ordering again I’m afraid. £81 worth of disappointment. Poor.

the food I am sorry to say was not to your normal standard. the chilli crispy beef was very chewy the chicken balls didn't taste right it was almost like eating sub standard chicken. the omelette was over cooked. then you forgot our drinks. got them delivered about 20mins later. such a shame normally enjoy your food

the satay chicken didn’t come with the satay sauce

The Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs could have been better and more than just a few small ones!

Tofu was so deep fried it was like rock and inedible, satay sauce was a tasteless cold lumpy gravy. Black bean sauce was like water. Would not order again.

Arrived piping hot and cooked well. . . . Apart from the pepper of the dish which was not cooked as the pieces were too big to cook along with the other food, black bean sauce was really nice and would be even nicer hotter , but the food was delicious

Food was terrible tonight. Crispy shredded beef was soggy, the ribs had no meat on them, the prawn balls were also soggy and the chips were like cardboard like they’d been sitting there for days

Ordered food via Uber. First time user. Food was ordered with a 40 minute lead time estimated delivery at 19:10… no sign of food… called 3 times to be told food was 10 minutes away… 1 hour 40 minutes… no sign of food. Called and was told 10 minutes away… cancelled order… this is now at 2 hours… 10 Minutes later they called to be told order was cancelled… our food is on its way… how long “if I’m honest 10-15 minutes” THEY HAD NOT BEEN HONEST FOR OVER 1 HOUR! At least they had the decency to call back and say order was cancelled… still waiting for refund.

Popcorn chicken was like a leather boot. Salt chips had no salt too much pepper and a load of carrot? They were also soggy. Chicken wings were overly yellow it was concerning. Followed by two massive boxes of rice which didn’t go with anything we ate. All the vegetables were not fresh. The chicken was inedible

First time ordering here after our normal place closed. Our order was delivered in the time given and lovely and hot. Food was really tasty and better than our old place.

Delivery was 25 mins late and two of the dishes were quite gloppy.

Very tasty food. A fresh change from the usual commercial standard Chinese restaurants. Was freshly cooked and the starter meat came separate from the sauce - I pleasant surprise, as usually it comes drowning in sauce and you can’t tell if the meat is good quality inside. This was cooked to perfection!

Order confirmed straight away but I could see it wasn’t going to be delivered on time as the status of the order didn’t change for ages. 2 mins before delivery time the order was pushed back by 15 mins but it was still delivered over 40 mins late. I would build in some delay time when you order as the quality of food was really very good. Everything was hot and the 1/4 of duck was already shredded ready for the pancakes, which was a nice touch.

This is Shangai house trying to start fresh!! Don’t get me wrong the food is MUCH better BUT I’ve waited a hour for my food for stuff to be missing I now have to wit another half hour+ for missing items which is annoying because I’m starving and don’t want to have half a meal!!! :(

It was our first order from Noodle King. Happy with delivery time but spring rolls and complimentary prawn crackers were really stale. Duck chow mein…the duck was undercooked. On the plus side chicken chow mein was ok and chicken balls were good.

Malaysian rice noodles was actually just plain chow mein. Malaysian rice has a strange flavour. The chips were over-done and dried out.

That's not even Kung Paow chicken. Idk what kind of chicken dish is that but certainly the worse chinese food I've ever ate. I'm Very sorry but this is total disappointment. Corn soup has too much sesame oil. Idk why you even out sesame oil on that. Broccoli is okay.

Good portions. Duck and pork rice was nice (meant not served on top and no sauce though) Singapore rice noodles were pretty yellow but nice flavour. Salt and pepper chicken wings were not crispy, and extremely salty and oily. Would try other dishes another time.
