Unpretentious and charming, with simple food done properly. I loved the Negroamaro served in a chalice glass, a wine with dimensions in all respects. Delicious Napoli pizza with the welcome addition of artichoke. Side of roasted veg caringly done; lovely blend of courgette, red pepper and aubergine (cooked properly!) Professional, friendly staff. A delightful Italian restaurant in a lovely location - I'm very happy to have this on my doorstep having recently moved to the area.

Friendly welcoming staff in a small family restaurant. Food was good. My husband said the Frutti di mare pasta was very good. Pricing very reasonable

The place where the time has stopped, it has taken you away from hustle and bustle from every day excessive tasks that never stop . You find yourself in a place of tranquility of one thousand one nights, a place where you have stepped suddenly and change scenario of beautiful gorgeous Italian warmth , that lets you play with creativity and allow all beautiful things happening to you as they have already have happened. While you enjoy the delicious food and lovely drinks made by Kastro and a team. This is beauty of this lovely place called Nona Restaurant

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. This is a hidden backstreet restaurant. There is a nice young man called Leon who really adds to the vibe. Very personable and attentive. It feels like we are in a really nice laid back restaurant in Europe where you can see the owner sitting in the restaurant and talking to the guests. I had the salmon dish and it was a 10/10 tasty meal. Very well priced and better quality that really ‘fancy restaurants’ that sell you a high end meal. This is such an authentic experience. One of my favourite spots to come and relax in.

Has to be the best pizza in London that I’ve had. Wonderful staff too. Love this restaurant so much, will definitely be back!

A little out the way for most visitors to London. but it's definitely worth straying a little further out of central London to eat here. Absolutely delicious food and excellent hosts.

Sunday late lunchtime, passing wet & hungry. A smiley welcome. A super bottle of Italian house red and menu choices... One pizza, one veal milanese, one salmon. All delicious 😋. Great value &... large portions! The roast potatoes were fantastic! Our server was a sweetheart & met Castro, il capo. He loves a hat, too 😅.

This restaurant is affiliated with "Small and Beautiful" in Kilburn, known for its subpar food and management, I regret to say. What a fantastic little restaurant! The portions were incredibly generous, the food was excellent quality and the price was surprisingly cheap compared to other comparable local restaurants. The meal at Nonna was a delight from start to finish. The waiters were knowledgeable and friendly and it was good to have a laugh with them. The restaurant was buzzing and pretty much full on a Thursday evening - always a good sign! Are party had both pizza and risotto, both of which were absolutely superb. The pizza was possibly the largest I've ever seen served in a restaurant! Top marks for a fantastic little restaurant with an amazing choice of pizza, pasta and other mains - far broader than any other restaurants that I had looked at. So well done, Nona! I, for one, will certainly be back!

Great value, great food, great service too. Six of us post cinema. The broschetta fungi is a favourite. We ordered too much! Pizza, risotto, fish, scalopina... All superb. The front is open, providing a lovely breeze. We'll be back 🥰

Treating ourselves to a Saturday night meal out to relax and enjoy some good food. This restaurant did not disappoint us. This was my second visit and just as good as the first. Welcoming and cheerful staff. The red house wine excellent and and sets the tone for a relaxed meal. The menu is really good, something for everyone. All the usual Italian dishes but not an overburdened menu. The portion sizes are large so sharing may be an idea. We shared a garlic pizza bread to start then our own main courses. Can recommend everything on the menu, all is well presented and tastes great. The chicken dishes are succulent and full of flavour, my Pollo ai Fungi was creamy and garlicy, just right. My wife ordered a prawn Caeser salad as a lighter option, which was very good with no skimping on delightful peeled prawns. The Crespelle all Fiorentina, baked savoury pancakes filled with cheeses in a white sauce, was beautifully presented and very decadent. We looked around the restaurant and all the other dishes also looked good with happy customers. We were actually too full for dessert, a shame, as the tiramisu is homemade, which is why sharing may be an idea. Coffee and mint tea completed a great meal. Our thanks to MIna who served us and made sure we enjoyed our evening there. We have booked to go again in a few weeks time.

I was taken here by friends whilst in the area and found it to be a delightful little restaurant with a tasty range of food and charming staff. Our group arrived in dribs and drabs but this posed no problem and we received quick service.

This restaurant has a large and varied menu. The food is delicious and is reasonably priced too, from pizza and pasta to many other types of dishes! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to eat there...you won't be disappointed! :-0)

We went to Nona's this evening for dinner. We have been once before since it reopened recently with new owner. I ordered a hot water with my dinner which I do in lots of restaurant ls we go to. The bill came and there was a charge of £2.50 for a cup of tea. I queried this with the slack waiter who said it was for the hot water. I thought there had been a mistake but it wasn't. They genuinely charge for hot water. I asked why to ge told that they do not get the hot water from the tap but the machine so they have to charge. I asked how much a cup of tea is and surprise..... £2.50. I obviously refused to pay but he tried to justify the charge. They did take £2.50 off the bill but was still trying to justify it. I am shocked and have cancelled a further booking I had made for a couple of weeks time. They were not bothered at all. I will not be returning to this restaurant. There are far nicer ones in the area who will not try and rip you off!

My wife and I went to Nona's for an evening meal. We were met by staff who showed us to a table. We had a three course meal with drinks which was excellent. An ideal family Restaurant and we will definitely be going again.

Firstly, apologies for the ridiculously long overdue review! Myself and my partner rented an Air BnB round the corner from Nona back in early-July, and it quickly become our temporary local. It was quiet on the first the day en route to our accommodation, but this was early afternoon on a Wednesday, and it was heavin' in the evenin' so we decided to get a table. On our first evening at the restaurant, we got talking to the owner/(presumably) head-chef who made us feel very welcome and to be honest, I think this sort of interaction with the staff - and owners especially - can really 'make' the dining experience; we got talking about Glasgow, Italy, Brexit nonsense, and how a restaurant is like a second home - and it's these interactions that take dining to a level beyond the food, drink and service. The pizza I ordered was spot on and the service was absolutely fine despite it being packed. I wish I could remember what else we ordered but whatever it was, we were more than satisfied. We ate at Nona again for my girlfriends 30th - where I stuffed my fat face with two deserts (the owner commenting "They say a man is in love when he orders two deserts" to me replying that "I'm in love with the food") - as well frequenting for drinks in the evening and a quick espresso during the day. In short, great place. It has an atmosphere unlike anything we get in Glasgow and the food and service is absolutely on point. Seems like a bit of a hidden gem and the only other occasion I can think of where I was blown away by the level of attentiveness and customer care was at a tiny hole-in-the-wall osteria in Naples! I want to say a special thanks to the waiter (Miguel???) who gave us a great send off on our last night and grazie for the digestif. Overall, incredibly pleasurable and humbling experience! Recommended visit - especially with your loved one.

Nona restaurant nothing to do with Italian food. Pasta the maket hot in microwave, pizza doll it's frozen from Jay Jay, inside ther no one it's Italian The bos behave like a gangster with staff. Treet people like skllaves.

We’re lucky enough to live just a few minutes away from this hidden gem in South Hampstead. My partner & I visit every couple of weeks for a relaxing meal (and a few drinks of course...)The owner and his staff make an effort to interact with their customers, something which adds to the evening & ultimately kept us coming back - you’re not just another ‘table for 2’ at Nona. You can really see they value every customer - the right way to run a business!Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the prices could easily be double for what you receive. We’ve never been able to fault the food - it’s always hot, fresh & delicious! It’s safe to say our ‘Friday night takeaways’ are a thing of the past now we have this fantastic Italian just a few minutes away, although if you are feeling like a night in, they’ll cook to order & call you when it’s ready to collect. If you live in NW6 and you haven’t visited Nona, book yourself a table - I guarantee you’ll go back again & again. *Ellis

What a wonderful little gem this is! My local Italian is superb, wonderful service and a delicious menu. They have an excellent wine list and do 2 for 1 cocktails, all very good value. I cannot recommend this highly enough!

Segunda visita después de un año y experiencia realmente mala después de tan buena antes. La mayoría de las cosas básicas como el entrante de embutidos tardaron 25 minutos en llevarse a la mesa y el pan en 35 minutos. Lubina quemada y los huesos no se separan suavemente de la carne como encuentro en otros restaurantes. El personal no está realmente unido y por lo tanto no trabaja bien en conjunto. Hizo un esfuerzo al final durante 90 años de celebración del miembro del grupo.Realmente necesito hacer algo de trabajo para que el personal se vincule y muestre la antigua felicidad en su trabajo, en lugar de proyectar frustración.Veré en unos meses si los problemas se resuelven.Los objetos de recuerdo en las paredes son una mezcla de temas que atraen a personas de mediana edad y buscadores de nostalgia.

We've had all sorts from Nona's - the chicken, the meatball spaghetti, the arrabbiata - all excellent and such great value for money! Their tomato sauce is something special. Always great and pasta cooked to perfection. Hard to find gems like this in London!

This little gem of a restaurant hidden in South Hampstead offers truly good food at very reasonable prices. The owner Alex and his brother are great hosts; very welcoming and hospitable and offer a quick and friendly service. Couldn't ask for more!

My wife and I came here for our anniversary looking for a romantic experience, as this is local to us we thought we would give it a try. My wife had the salmon which was perfectly cooked with a delicious side of zucchini and roast peppers. I had the spaghetti vongole and a steak for main which was just perfect. highly recommend!! compliments to the chef and staff.

Popped into this place on a whim. I was starving and could not figure out what I wanted. I lucked out and found this great authentic spot.

Offers a selection of Italian staples. I had the veal Milanese with spaghetti Napoli. Very nice, came quickly and the manager was attentive and friendly.

Ambience was spot on and the service was great. The food was lovely and the service was attentive and felt personal. The bill left me shocked though!! Two starters, two mains bottle of red and aperitifs and olives...not even £50! Incredible value and couldn't recommend it more!!

Impromptu lunch for 5 adults and 4 children today and cannot recommend this place highly enough. For a place on a busy high street i am disappointed that i did not discover it sooner. Bright and spacious interior, varied and reasonable menu and friendly service. 5 stars all day long.

I strongly advise that you do not visit this restaurant. The owner is very rude not only to customers but also his own staff. The staff look absolutely miserable and it shows through their waitering skills, the food is below average and took a long time. All in all the only good thing I can say about this place is that it is located in a nice area, It’s just a real shame that this restaurant brings it down

Everyone remembers that great place when you were on a Mediterranean holiday and you found a great restaurant that had this amazing food, the huge prawns, the great salad, and you got to know the owner and that’s why you always go back there to holiday in the same place? Well that’s what this place is - it’s like a piece of holiday! Perfect place to meet friends for group bookings. The friendly smiling owner is always floating around making you feel special there’s great friendly interaction with all the staff, and the food is amazing. The front of the restaurant opens out, so you’re eating this great Mediterranean food ‘al fresco’ I always feel like I’m on holiday when I go to Nona’s. I just love this place! My husband and I stayed near Nona restaurant on our recent visit to London. The owner of the VRBO we rented recommended we eat there and said it was very good. He was absolutely right, this place is amazing! The food and service was so good, we actually ate there twice on our visit. If you have the opportunity to speak with the owner, make sure you do. He is so nice and fun to talk to. It is very obvious that he loves this restaurant and wants to provide the best food and service possible. We will definitely eat there on our next trip to London!

We went to Nona Rosa for a family meal. From the start the staff were fantastic ! The chap front of house was so welcoming and funny ! All the food was tasty , hot and on hot plates ( how many restaurants fail here ??) Can’t wait to come back when visiting our daughter!!

We went today to Nona for the first time. Only open 4 days after its refurbishment, the menu is vast and the food was truly delicious, The best calves liver I have ever tasted. The service was first class, friendly and attentive. We will certainly go there again and would highly recommend this warm and welcoming local eatery.

He estado en Londres durante una semana, y al final he hecho, lamento no ir a Nona más a menudo! La primera vez pedí pollo con jamón y estaba increíblemente bueno y por un precio muy razonable, la segunda vez que pedimos una pizza que era igual de bueno! En nuestro último día tuvimos que irnos temprano y en realidad quitte abrió un poco temprano así que podíamos tomar el desayuno y una agradable taza de café antes de que empezamos nuestro viaje de vuelta a casa. Yo wil sin duda alguna aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que estoy en Londres!

Estuve en el restaurante el miércoles con un amigo y puedo decir que tuvimos una deliciosa cena. Todo estaba perfectamente preparado y muy sabrosa. Por ahora este es el único restaurante en Londres que he comido mariscos frescos cocinados en una manera perfecta.

Pedimos una pasta saludable sano vegetales verdes (mezcla de ajo verde, y aceite de oliva virgen). Básicamente dieron algunos duros penne con casi nada de verde, a pocos restos de calabacines espinacas y guisantes cebollas jardín que eran incolora y antiguo. Todos probablemente perritos como ingredientes para la pizza. No puedo opinar sobre el resto de su menú, pero este seguro era insípida y comida asquerosa. Aunque, yo no esperaba una experiencia gourmet, nunca me imaginé que podría ser tan malo! !

Small, charming family run pizzeria. Great value. Attentive service. Authentic dishes (despite being owned by a Turkish family!) with generous portions. I have never sampled any of their Turkish fare but judging by the authenticity of their Italian pizzas, pastas and main courses I'm willing to bet that they are scrumptious! definitely recommended!

Nona serves outstanding breakfasts from morning to 4 pm. The pizzas are very tasty with thin crusts. Service is friendly, and the prices are fantastic.

I am a local resident and I brought my parents and niece here as a treat when they visited. The food was some of the worst I have eaten anywhere. Lamb was still frozen inside. Sauces were congealed or still powdery as they were not mixed properly. Mash potato had been put in a liquidiser and all of it was cold. Avoid.

Not worth bothering with. Appalling over cooked inferior quality food, therefore over priced. We complained, paid the hefty bill & left the mess on the plates as was completely inedible. Such a shame as I was so looking forward to having a local bistro. NEVER AGAIN

We came on holiday from Prague we don't know this place but find it in the street, it is worst of our holiday. Owner (?) is rude with very aggressive way to behave, we ask please clean the table he is very cross, food take long time coming and very slow.

Fabulous hospitality - decent Italian fare - nice clientele. It ain't the ritz but it's top of the class when it comes to a relaxing cosy local meal with no fuss.

I had a coffee which was a decaf and experienced a watery bitter taste. But I could live with that it was the next order that caused me most concernI received a Spanish omelette .Thats OK its what I ordered . But this was special it had been made wit mashed potato and nothing else. The result is an egg containing mush and tasting of nothing.I complained that this was not a Spanish omelette and the lady who apparently is the manager told me that this was a Spanish omelette.Let me tell you what should have happened: She should have said "I'm sorry sir would you like me to get your something else?" But she didn't and nobody else in the establishment was prepared to put themselves out to put this right.My friend who was paying (which is why I didn't refuse to pay) had a plain omelette.This tasted OK (not great) and he gave me some of this .Bottom line i had a few chips ate a bit of salad and left.I attach a picture of this very cute not Spanish Omelette

My fiance and I spent a week in London as tourists and during that week we often went for dinner to Nona restaurant. The small, cosy place with friendly staff and excellent pizza, spaghetti and seafood made us return there. Thank you, Alex, for your kindness and hospitality. Visited for breakfast and was not disappointed. Large selection of breakfasts, fast service and great decor. Very affordable too

I needed a place to use as a temporary mobile office while visiting London, a friend took me to Nonna's and I felt right at home. Super friendly staff, great little place, decent prices and REALLY good food! Alex and his staff are awesome. They treated me like family, let me charge my laptop while I worked and it was seriously exactly what I needed and more. I landed up staying for breakfast lunch and dinner 2 days in a row. 10/10

I have eaten here on several occasions over the past couple of years and always had lovely food and good service for a very reasonable price.

The food here was really good. Highly recommended. They were playing very good music. My overall score is mediocre because of problems with attention, with service. When anyone came or left, the front door never closed completely, leaving us in a draft. Time and time again some royal prat kept running outside to check whether his illegally parked car was going to get into trouble. One of us would have to rise and close the darn door properly. This had to happen three or four times before the member of staff who was just standing about watching this nonsense finally offered to push it closed, instead of us. The service was generally slow, We were never asked if we wanted drinks. But the food was great.

Our favourite Italian. The staff completely change every couple of months for some strange reason so the food is sometimes amazing, and sometimes just good. The prices are spot on though and inside its beautiful.

We visited Nona regularly for over two years as we loved the place but had the most horrible experience today. The chef had changed and the quality of the food had deteriorated. We asked for certain changes and the owner tells us that he doesn't like picky customers. Can you imagine! We are never going back. The food is not as good as it used to be and Nona has completely lost it. It's a pity

Pretty good, not so expensive but variable service!The pizzas seem to be great when you eat in but crap as a take away.

I've had some yummy food here but other times it has been quite rubbish.In terms of the take away pizzas, they are pretty crap.Inside, it can smell of cigarette smoke because the doors and windows don't close properly.Sometimes they tell you to wait 10 minutes and it turns into 1/2 hour.
