Constitution in Camden

£7.20 for a beer? I don't know who these people think they are but £7.20 for a beer??? It's the constitution in Camden not the Savoy. What a joke, might as well still be closed because I for one am never going back there again. It's not April fools day, but it felt like it. Turn it into flats probably make people happier. Edit: In reply to your comment to my review. Not sure where you were looking to pubs in the area and you were in line with them, you were probably in Knightsbridge not Camden. Good luck to you guys nonetheless.

So impressed with how beautifully renovated this pub is. Had my birthday drinks here on Saturday and the sun was shining and the terrace was full of people. Food and cocktails were both excellent. The burger was great and my friends had the lamb shank shepherd's pie which they have been raving about ever since. Will definitely be back.

What a lovely place to have a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Very relaxing. The place is absolutely thriving.

Beautifully renovated, three levels so plenty of choice for different atmosphere, great bar food, reasonable beer price. Good location. Great pub 👌

Overall a great redo, not pretentious or cavernous. Really, really dog friendly which is great to see. Terrace is nice (though lots of smokers). Some of the high long tables are just in the way though, when busy makes it hard to get to the rest of the space - saw a lot of slightly spilled pints as people tried to squeeze between the table and the plant for instance. Food was also good (on par with most other Young's pubs in North London), currently pretty well priced for the area. Will have to try the more adventurous options. Otherwise, front room is far too noisy when there are a lot of people. Downstairs cellar bar is cosy and nice that it opens on to the canal.

Pub which has been recently refurbished by Youngs. Great canalside location. Spacious indoors. Good atmosphere and still welcomes idiosyncratic Camden residents. Extensive menu, decent beer selection.

Amazing! We had so wonderful night here at the Constitution. Our anniversary ended up to be so incredibly special- atmosphere, staff, service, big time The fooooood, just couldn’t ask more Thank you so much. No other place in Camden like this. New favourite- good that we live near by. See you soon again.

So wonderful to see this old pub brought back to life. An old Camden spot is back. Service has been great evertime I've been there, but I have to say desi I think her name is was fantastic with my table. Food was amazing Gnocchi was fantastic. Just need to try the desserts now!

The owners have done a fantastic job with the restoration of this beautiful pub … but the food! The food is so far below what you would expect from a place like this. Ordered smash burger and fries and plant burger and fries. The fries were OK but the burgers were dreadful and another order on our table arrived cold. Please, please sort this out ASAP. We love this pub!!!

Beautiful refurbishment of a previously old and tired pub. Really cosy inside and beautiful decor. Also has a terrace overlooking canal for sunny days. Food was well presented and above the usual pub standard. Also want to say a big thank you to the management for helping me locate my lost bag and keeping it safe. Will be visiting again whenever I visit the nearby garden centre.

Today I had the chance to visit the NEW Constitution. An amazing food coupled with a great service made my experience at the Constitution unique. Will definitely recommend.

Was advised this place had reopened so stopped by after work. What a great job they have done. The space inside is amazing, and the bar staff are really great. Good selection of drinks for me, and looking forward to trying the menu and enjoying this place in the summer. Great job Youngs 👏

I visited The Constitution on the opening night and as my new local, I am delighted with the pub. The refurb has been done to a high spec but still maintains that cosy pub feel, atmosphere was buzzing and the team were excellent. Bar snacks 10/10. Can't wait to go back!

So great that this has reopened. It is very fancy now, with a top floor roof terrace conservatory, and apparently will have live music in the cellar bar (which looks like it now has a wheelchair ramp!). Best of luck to them

Stunning. Amazing Sunday roast and the sides are delicious. Great Guinness, sun didn't even need to be out to still enjoy the terrace. Looking forward to my next visit.

I am in love with our new local. Fabulous food, the building is just brilliant. Sunny outdoor courtyard and super lovely staff.

Came by with my friend after hearing about how lovely the pub was after its reopening. Fantastic roasts and very friendly service. Beef was perfectly cooked and the beers cold and fresh. Will definitely be stopping by again soon!

The pub is beautiful inside and out, situated right on the Canal it has a delight garden and a stunning roof Terrace. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t help you more, considering it’s just reopened the team were amazing. Food was really nice and not what I expected Really nice vibe and I will definitely be back

What a fantastic opening night, the new building is immaculately done, with bags of space over 3 floors, the terrace is even lovelier than ever and I can't WAIT for summer. 4 minutes walk away, I'll be here far too often!

Sadly, The Con has been bought by a corporate business. Another community pub lost forever.

A lot of chit-chat in the news recently about Britain’s constitution, but there really should be more about Camden’s. This is a good old-fashioned Knees Up Mother Brown style boozer.

Lovely crowd, great staff ... great selection of bar snacks... guys playing darts while music on telly, comedy club going on downstairs (where we were) Overall brilliant! Loved it

A nice pub sadly ruined by a recent event. Every few months my housemate and I - who live locally - invite a few friends for a local pub crawl and this is on the list. We came by on Saturday night and I was let in, only to realise no-one else was. I turned around and one of my friends (from France) was ID'd by the bouncer and showed his ID. He then asked other people where they were from and when they last came here and wouldn't let them in. We were in a group, but mixed male and female and of varying ages and countries so it wasn't like we were a rowdy bunch of men on a crawl. Very disappointing. Ironically it was fairly quiet inside so they would have got a decent amount of custom from us.

The Construction is a hidden gem. A lovely little pub, great atmosphere and a live music in the basement.

Very local feel here. Very nice steak and chips! Good beer.

As others have said, a ‘proper’ unpretentious pub on Regents Canal - midway between King’s Cross basin and Camden Lock. If you’re looking for gastro standard food and 10 craft ales on draught, then this isn’t for you. If you want a light, airy pub, a great beer garden, a big screen showing sport, a pool table and reasonably-prices drinks, then this is perfect. A mix of regulars and passing-trade, like us - service was friendly and we enjoyed our drink break. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

There was a live band on that day and a free comedy show. Fun place

Well priced drinks. Warm and friendly staff. Lively and large outdoor space. Great location, hidden away from the centre of busy Camden. Family friendly environment. All in all, this is a lovely place to meet friends for some drinks on a sunny day...and you have the option to walk along a pretty canal to get to it - going that way you get to see the awesome graffiti art outside the back entrance.

Great vibes, good selection of alcohol. Prices aren’t as cheap as I originally thought, but they have live music on Wednesdays and comedy night on Thursdays, so dropping by then would be a good idea. Do consider sitting outside in the garden area too!

Mi esposa y yo vinimos por unos frascos con un amigo. Realmente lo disfrutamos.Es muy agradable tener una bebida adecuada, no un gastro - pub o un pretencioso bar de vinos. Queríamos un buen pub a la antigua usanza. El jardín de la cerveza es agradable y tiene vistas al canal. También hay una mesa de billar para que puedas jugar una partida de billar con uno de los locales.Encontramos el lugar amigable y bastante moderno sin ser presumido.Gran lugar en mi opinión.

Had a great day/night at The Constitution yesterday, we had a big group of us outside and we were very well looked after by the staff. We told the landlord we were celebrating a 30th at which point he brought out a tray of shots on the house and invited us onto the pubs Barge Boat, we were then treated to some great BBQ food and delicious cocktails as we sailed up and down the canal. All on the house! Thanks to all for a brilliant evening. Can't recommend enough.

Entré a un bonito jardín, pero eso era lo único bueno. Un joven altivo con una actitud superior sirvió a mi esposa y yo. Un montón de trofeos de cerveza, pero una selección insiped muy pobre. Los inodoros están literalmente de mierda y malolientes. La esposa informó algo similar de su lado: alfombra (!) Con un olor a humedad mohosa. No estaré de visita cuando esté en Londres.

I really enjoyed this proper boozer. Very lively atmosphere during a football game. Excellent selection of beers and bartenders were really efficient despite the massive crowd. The pub is very nicely situated by the canal, so you can enjoy sitting there as well. They also have a garden. Nice mixed crowd. Haven’t tried the food.
