Great placement of the pub. Near a canal. Lovely.

The food and drinks are amazing, and the staff are all really kind and friendly.

I've become somewhat of a regular at The Constitution, and it's definitely my favourite spot, without a doubt of one Youngs 'go to' venues. I absolutely love what the company has done with the place. Stefano, in particular, is an excellent team member, gave me and my partner more than satisfactory service each and every time we have visited, not just being polite, but attentive to each table and it's individual needs.

The new Constitution is perfect in just about every way!

I had the best experience coming in yesterday, the waitress amelia was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. i ordered the fig gnocchi which amelia had recommended to me and i have to say it was beyond amazing what a great dish! I would recommend this place to anyone walking along the canal or in the area, staff are great and food is delightful !

Had a really decent Sunday Roast. Service was very pleasant too. And such a lovely setting on the canal Will definitely be back.

This week we hosted my work’s Christmas party at the Constitution and they made it into something really special. The staff team was fantastic and went above and beyond. They set up beautiful decorations and gave us space to host our own pub quiz. Food was also a highlight of the evening and everyone raved about it. Can’t recommend them enough!

We had a most enjoyable lunch. The food was very good - an interesting menu featuring lots of fish. But the highlight was our waiter Wilkins whose cheerful service, attentiveness and excellent banter elevated this meal from just a pub lunch with friends to a hugely fun and entertaining outing. Six stars for him!!

Awesome sunday roast Decent pint

My friend and I came here yesterday for his birthday lunch. It’s a Monday - pretty quiet as expected but, what was disappointing is immediately being told on the menu there were several options unavailable. Fair - it was a little later in the afternoon. The sourdough bread with tarragon and chicken skin butter - yup, off to a good start. We shared a bottle of the Cloof Inkspot wine - another great option and a good price. Mains, I had spiced halibut and my friend had the nduja pork t-bone - we were both happy… it all went downhill from there though. Plates cleared, no dessert menus or extra drinks offered. After 15 mins we spotted the order to your table function - we ordered a cocktail plus a Tarte tatin. I also want to add at this point, the Gimlet my friend wanted was greyed out. Fair - we chose a French 75. A further extensive wait I heard murmuring from the bar who didn’t understand the order because the table number we had on our table - didn’t correlate with the actual table number… pretty basic stuff. I was then told there were no desserts available bar the cheese board. For a Monday afternoon this was pretty poor. And, to add none of the dessert options greyed out. The staff were pretty nonchalant and tbf it’s left a disappointing taste after what was a lovely main.

I had the tomahawk sharer and it was to die for!! Definitely the best roast dinners here. Stef and Kieran provided the most amazing and attentive service. Will be coming back for sure

My friend and I had an amazing afternoon/evening in the Constitution. Our waiter Wilkin really knew the wines and the menu and was very attentive. The food was great and the variety of wines was great. We will definitely be coming back!

Friendly, comfortable pub. Small but imaginative menu, all well cooked, and tasty. I particularly liked the blood orange sorbet and the croquette starter. Great service, lovely staff

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch , and there was lots of choice , I had the artichoke tempura, beetroot vegan feta Wellington, and fondant with blood orange icecream. The service was excellent and a good choice of wines at reasonable prices. We were all happy with our meal.

I posted 1* in error so have amended it to the 5* it deserves. This is a fabulous pub on the Canal Towpath which has been done up beautifully with great inside and outside space. The staff are lovely and the food delicious. We will definitely be visiting again.

The place is wonderful and the food is very good. I am also very grateful to Ben, the manager of the place, who helped me and my daughters in a difficult moment. Ben is a truly welcoming, generous and selfless person. We will definitely come back to visit him when we are in London again.

Ran out of roasts, but did call ahead to let us know. Ordering took a long time. We ordered a bottle of wine which was forgotten about. We asked for tap water which was forgotten about. We ordered food from the very limited options left without roasts, and were told they had now also run out of one of the main’s, leaving three options on the menu. Out of everything we wanted, there were no roasts, no Bloody Mary ‘mix’ (not sure why this couldn’t just be made fresh), they ran out of burgers, ran out of some of the desserts. There seemed to be lots of negotiation with the kitchen around what desserts were available. Service was incredibly slow despite it not being busy. You get forgotten in the upstairs dining room. Nobody checked on how our food was or asked if we wanted drinks or desserts. We had to ask twice for almost everything and go and find someone, as the staff were standing around talking outside the dining room near the till area. One of the young waiters was kind and funny, but otherwise, service was shambolic. A real shame as we were looking forward to celebrating a birthday. The food we did get was mostly good though.

We had such an incredible Sunday roast here that we booked our Christmas meal before we even finished our plates. Every single dish on our plates were very well executed. Particularly obsessed with the pork crackling and truffled cauliflower cheese. Can’t wait to come back!

Thank you to all the staff at The Constitution who made our event such a memorable occasion. Great location and ideal layout worked really well for our group of 50 or so, and a couple of dogs too. Lovely food and drinks with the team helping with any requests. And showing our tribute on the TV was a real conversation point. Best wishes to the team. We stopped here because we didn't have time to walk all the way from King's Cross to Camden, and I'm very happy we did. The food was excellent. A bit pricey, but it's central London, so that's to be expected. Service was casual and friendly. I definitely recommend this place for food, drinks, and get-togethers.

Great, friendly service. Different floors with different ambiences. The cellar is more chilled which was a nice choice to have. Lovely decor.

Went to the Constitution for dinner and drinks and the experience was excellent! The food was amazing and the cocktails really good,I sticked with my beer on the other hand and the staff was friendly and on top of their game. The pub was full and the music helped the night go smoothly! What a night!

So many booked tables. Got moved about because people with bookings finally turned up (after time tables were reserved). Staff member moved us upstairs to a less than optimal spot next to a whole bank of reserved tables and the entire party who had reserved the table never even sat down !

Recently renovated pub with lovely terraces overlooking the canal. The food was amazing! We had the Sunday roast, cauliflower and tomahawk steak which I was too distracted to remember to take a picture ☺️

Went in for a Sunday roast - one of the best I've had in London! Really cosy, amazing views from the upper terrace, and great atmosphere and service from the team. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

I’ve had a great time coming in with my friend for some food and drink. We’ve been looked after by Anna and Stef they’ve been really friendly with big smiles! The cheese burger and fries arrived quick and hot and was amazing. Had a great chat with the staff before we left and got a nice and warm goodbye before leaving. Will be back for more food and drinks hopefully with more friends 10/10!

Nicely refurbished pub by the canal, just minutes away from the busy streets of Camden. Used to be a local boozer, now open for a vider range of costumers with its stunning extension and it views over Kings cross. Good selection of food and drinks, friendly service

🚇 Camden Town 🍺 £7.30 Asahi The Constitution is located in the backstreets of Camden Town overlooking Regents Canal. The nearest Tube is Camden Town, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This pub was built in 1858 and used to be part of Agar Town, a place that no longer exists. This former Courage pub suddenly closed in 2020, which was such a sad loss to the local community and beyond. The pub remained dormant until March 2024 and reopened after an extensive refurb by new owners Youngs. The refurb has brought in many changes since my last visit in 2018. The whole building has been revamped from a working class boozer to a high end and very stylish public house. There are three bars with the main bar located on the ground floor. The servery has been relocated to the rear to make a spacious bar area at the front of the pub. If you head down stairs there is a cosy cellar bar with a faux old world feel. If you head upstairs there is another bar with a rooftop terrace and retractable roof. One of the main attractions here is the patio beer garden over looking Regents Canal. The beer selection is decent and offers a good choice of familiar beers and included four cask ales. I decided on a pint of Asahi, my pint was great, price point was north of seven quid. The food menu is elevated pub classics, Fish & Chips costs £18.50, Roasts are available on a Sunday. I arrived mid afternoon on a rainy Tuesday in May. The pub was quiet so I had a good mooch around the check out the new refurb. The atmosphere was chilled, there were a dozen or so punters dotted around the pub. The service was excellent, the chap who served me was welcoming and courteous. As I sat pondering my visit and quaffing my pint, I reflected on how much Camden has changed. I first started drinking around this manor in 1990 when Camden was an edgy part of town and full of surprises. The Constitution is a beautiful and stylish pub that reflects how much Camden has been sanitised. Beer and food are amazing. A very cozy and chill place to hang out with your gf, have a drink and something hot and tasty to eat. The terrace on the river is also super nice.

The food is AMAZING!! Staff is always really kind and sedulous. Definitely I’ve become a regular. Highly suggest!!

Since it's renovation, it's a fantastic venue now with a glass box up on top and and a gorgeous outdoor section on the canal. Well worth the visit.

Beautifully refurbished (their curator of art & photography has done an excellent job), friendly staff, dog friendly, relaxing spaces indoors and out, feels more like a boutique art hotel than a Camden pub where Granny used to religiously go for her bingo night but then Camden is changing, it's cultural anarchical working class character ebbing away.

Beautiful pub, with great cocktails and selection of beer. The service was great and the outdoor area is beautiful and overlooks the canal.

Outstanding place, just a short walk from st pancras and kings cross stations, well worth a detour.

I was so happy to see this pub open again. I’ve been coming to the constitution for years and enjoying its canal side terrace so was upset when it closed down. It’s a stunning pub and the roof terrace is gorgeous. Lovely selection of cocktails and the spicy marg is excellent. I absolutely hated the atmosphere since it’s reopened. I’ve been a few times and thought maybe it’s just busy. Last night I came with some girlfriends for dinner and some drinks. It’s overrun with loud bratty twenty somethings who just ruined the whole patio. We ended up leaving after our burger and only having one cocktail. We weren’t the only people who were annoyed and we saw lots of other people leave. It’s just so noisy and feels like a grown up crèche now. We went to a pub opposite for a bit and then thought we’d come back for a nightcap and god it was like a nightclub! Pounding dance music and screaming twenty year olds. The pub itself is really beautiful and the staff are really nice and super friendly; it’s just sadly lost all its charm and quirks and it’s not somewhere I enjoy, but then again maybe it’s not a pub for 40 year olds. Such a shame and it’s a few minutes from my flat but I doubt it’s somewhere I’ll go anymore.

The closure and renovation was well worth it. Great food and wine choices at reasonable prices, friendly staff, large pub garden, fab location, great decor. Couldn't fault, have recommended to friends and will definitely be back.

Really gorgeous pub on the river, the garden and conservatory are such a nice addition. Staff were friendly and helpful with anything we needed. A group of us went for drinks but would definitely come back for food another time, the menu looked great

Best Bloody Mary’s in Camden apart from Dave’s at Eles Head.

Wonderful atmosphere inside and on the 2 beautiful balconies. We only came for drinks but the food also looked delicious and beautifuly served. Editing this to say we returned multiple times to enjoy the wonderful summer atmosphere and the delicious food.

First visit since the makeover and really impressed with the new Constitution. The beer garden overlooking the canal is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and drink proper reasonably priced draught beer and other drinks. Hope they provide live music again soon.

Fancy and relaxing place to have a drink and a snack close to Camden. They also serve bigger dishes, but I just ordered a starter, as I wasn't that hungry. I liked the frozen strawberry daiquiri I ordered (11£). The started costed 6£.

I give 5 stars because I can't give a higher score. A very nice guy attended to us in Spanish. Plus the food was very good.

I attended premises to do some work as I'm an engineer. Spoke to a gentleman called Ben and was very helpful to me as I'd never been there before. What a very delightful chap. With that aside what a brilliant pub good scenery outside. Beautiful inside and out. All the best paul.

Brilliant pub right on the side of the canal

Great venue...BUT My friend ordered the extremely overpriced and overcooked burger with cold fries, I ordered the fish pie which arrived 15mins after my friend's burger. The fish pie was mainly a bowl of overpriced mash potato with the occasional flake of one of the fish as described. Not worth the money. I guess the prices are to pay for the extensive refurbishment.

Absolutely love the revamped Constitution. Been walking past the building for years and always hoped that the pub and beer garden overlooking the canal will reopen one day. We was not disappointed. There's a lovely selection of ales and summer cocktails.

We love this pub! Always such a great atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails. The staff are always friendly and efficient and they go out of their way to make the drinks look beautiful!

Came in for a quick meal with my friend the other day and loved the short rib croquettes and the stone bass. Watching the sun set in the beer garden absolutely made my day. Good pub 👍

Newly refurbished with 3 different levels, 2 with outdoor and indoor areas. Decent menu including oysters, steak etc. Downside is it's a bit on the loud side with underwhelming music And a bit personality less

The atmosphere is very nice. Clean bathrooms. Was a bit pricey. Ordered a medium sized wine but it was just a regular amount 🫠 Wanted to sit outside, the free table under the umbrella was very dirty filled with plates and napkins. It took them a very long while to try and clean the table. It wasn’t cleaned compeletely anyways. Someone just took the trash but didn’t clean the table :(

Found by accident as we were walking to Camden along the canal. It was that good we never got to Camden and spent my birthday there. We sat on the outdoor terrace on the first floor overlooking the canal. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced as are the drinks.The staff were very friendly even though they were very busy.We will definitely go back as this place is amazing

Didn’t try the food, but it looks fine. Great place to hang out with friends, even large groups and soak up the sun in the garden. It’s on the canal and a short bounce from Camden train.

Lovely glow-up of this old local stalwart. Beautifully thought through especially the glass terrace with the roof that opens up and the terrace overlooking the canal. Staff are lovely and very dog-friendly.

On the warmest night of the year sitting up on the roof terrace overlooking the canal. Great cold keg beers and some bar snacks was ideal London evening.

Had thThe fish and chips with curry sauce was sweet like honey, which ruined it a bit for me. The fish was also bland,

had a booking for our friends surprise birthday and had an amazing time, staff were super friendly and the food was incredible! didn’t manage to catch everyone’s names but shoutout to Desi, Jamie, Tara, Stepho and Ben (apologies if i misspell any names) :)
