No5 Diner in South Somerset

My husband and I popped into No5 Diner while waiting for our MOT to be done at Lynx MOT Test Centre. We were greeted by a lovely smiley girl on the counter who took our order of 2 English Breakfasts and a tea and coffee. We had 2 x bacon, 2 x sausage, 2 egg, 2 hash browns, beans and mushrooms with a slice of toast. Sauces and condiments on the table. A very good size breakfast for just £8 each. Easy to pay on card. The plates and drinks were brought to our table swiftly. It a clean and pleasant cafe, bright and nice to eat in. The menu is varied with something for everyone. I will definitely be back and would recommend for sure. Next time I must try their cakes and bakes as they looked delicious. Also saw their sausage rolls which came out of the oven while we were ordering a second brew.

Food here is generally very good. They will amend your breakfast, within reason, to your requirements. Pasties are superb

One of the best restaurants to get comfort food and pretty much anything that tastes good, service is quick staff are friendly, they are flexible on the menu items and homemade desserts remind me of home cooked desserts.

What a little gem of a place. Good service friendly staff good food made fresh. Well worth a visit.

usually good service and good food , but not today, food was cold and soggy , and if I'm honest looks like was cooked the day before, eggs were like bricks not enjoyable at all, asked the lady on delivery where the cutlery was, oh I can go back and get it? so the food will be colder than it already was ? not worth the 24 pound,

Went for a full English breakfast with my Son, he had the No 5, I had the all day, it was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time, highly recommended, I’ll be back 😉

The selection of food on offer at No5 is amazing. Have enjoyed takeaways and sitting in the cafe. We also use Charlie and his team to cater for our office meetings and training, sometimes at short notice, and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely exceptionally rude staff this morning, what a nice way to start the day! They Need training in customer service, i couldnt even finish my drinks order as the lady cut me dead halfway through. People don't want to be greeted like that in the morning ! The Food is basic cafe standard so you could go anywhere for it with the same quality and without that side of attitude 🙌🏽

Love this place, has a whole range of meals, but the breakfasts, are the best we've found in Yeovil. No complaints just compliments love.

Busy little Cafe Diner on the industrial estate. I would happily recommend to anyone. Food really scrumptious. The menu is vast and very reasonably priced.They cater for Gluten free and vegetarian and the tea is a proper tasy mug. I can't wait to come back again 😋

Ordered the ultimate breakfast it was nice but eggs tasted funny and the sausages could of been cooked longer as under cooked and toast was soggy

we went in for cooked breakfasts and breakfasts baguettes, all of which were great and were served pretty quickly. brilliant range of options for lunch too. veggie and vegan options available, as well as selection of baked goods. friendly staff.

Good breakfast and friendly staff. Good price and not too expensive. Freshly cooked breakfast. Always a visit in and out from a fishing trip.

Very friendly, delicious, highly recommended. If you can get one of their home made desserts too, do it! We love the Tiffin's and millionaires shortbreads. They deliver too. Early closing so if you want dinner from here you need to be organised and get it in before closing. Make sure to order something that is good cold or can be reheated. I've done this several times and it's definitely worth it with how tasty the food is. Delivery drivers are just as friendly as in house staff.

Got two meals for me and the missus - lunch and a dinner that we would reheat, just because the prices are low enough we can get two meals for the price of one in other places of similar quality. Staff are great, food is lovely

No5 diner is an amazing takeaway. All the staff ive talked to are really friendly. The food is always amazing. They have such a wide range of foods too! And even better its so cheap for what you get. My favourite is their paninis and loaded fries can't go wrong with those. 😁

Fantastic food. We use them at least once a week and have never had a bad roll from here. Their pasties are amazing and their pasta is lovely as well. Really good prices and seating as well. The van drivers are all really friendly and would always use No5. My go to food company.

First class breakfast and decently priced! Only negative is when it’s busy table cleaning often gets forgotten.

I always get for No5, i get a fair thing for me and my brother but i got the breakfast burger and it was just amazing all the food is :)

Ordered breakfast and buffet for 9 people over the coronation weekend for my wedding. The breakfast rolls were well worth the money. Tasty and fresh. The wedding buffet did let us down majorly on the other hand. Missing from the savoury platter were 4 main items without being told. Mini Quiches, mini scotch eggs, potato skins & mini pizza . They were replaced with very cheap fried catering style nuggets with various filings inside. All tasted horrid, and we had to try and guess what they were. Before throwing them away. As we ordered 2 of these trays the disappointment doubled. We also ordered 2 x eastern platters, whilst these were correct in ingredients they were all pale beige and lacking visual appeal. The sandwiches, rolls and fruit all great. And the mini cakes platters were a huge disappointment and nothing like as described the same as the platters. I did write to the owner to let him know of my disappointment. Of which he could only comment about a lack of ingredients from suppliers. Which isn’t an acceptable excuse and I just feel it saved him a fair bit of money instead with cheap and nasty fried breaded products. Don’t advertise what you can’t deliver, let alone possible allergy risk to my guests.

Staff are super friendly & polite & the food was amazing. Freshly cooked to order. Will definitely be visiting again. Toilets were also very clean

Amazing Mega Breakfast, was even able to change items I didn't like for things I did, lots for the cost, only criticisms were that the eggs although cooked well personally I prefer runny yolk but that's just because I am picky about my eggs lol, overall well worth the money and will be going back for definite as they also do a great strong coffee that's actually hot 👍

Ordered No.5.. Did noy reach my ecpectations..

Wish I could give a minus star. Ordered a chicken and bacon melt. Cheese not melted, chicken cold and the sauce was cold! Ended up taking four bites and throwing it away. Wasted my money. Disgusting food. Staff lovely.

The food is generally good, but delivery can take 1 to 2 hours depending on how busy they are.

Asked for a buffet for 6, for the weekend of the Queen’s funeral, with only a couple of days notice. Despite this, they were happy to oblige, and between us we sorted a convenient collection time. The food selection was great, particularly enjoyed the savoury selection, it was a nice change from just the traditional choices, but there were the usual sausage rolls and crisps etc in there too. The fruit kebabs were a welcome counterfoil to the sweet little mini cake platter, and the sandwiches stayed nice and fresh for 2 days and were well filled with a cracking selection of flavours. Thanks very much ☺️

First time I've been here had all day breakfast and a cuppa with my dad who comes regularly with mum. Food was piping hot and very tasty, staff are very polite and the place is spotlessly clean definitely going again very impressed 😊

Only suitable for cars. We arrived in our motorhome we took 3 up spaces in parking. I asked if that was ok and was told no. I explained there was plenty of car parking around the area for cars, still told no. 4 unhappy very hungry people who drove out of their way to get there.

I had a soya milk Mocha which was spot on and an utterly delicious, mint Australian crunch cake. No idea what was Australian about it but now I know it's a thing, there's no possibility of me ever dieting again!!

Were passing so stopped for coffee and early lunch. Huge choice, well priced, ate in. Also covered outside area, and takeaways for the workers. Seemingly are also outside caterers, based on what we saw and experienced, I would check them out. Friendly staff.

Waited nearly two hours for my delivery and the food was cold when it got here, i understand about the restaurant being busy but I got a notification saying it was on its way at 12:15 and didn't receive the it until ten to 1 which explains why the food was cold, had no hash browns or toast on the breakfast, didn't get the sour cream I ordered either, food was ok, I wouldn't usually post a review but I spent over 30 quid in there and I didn't even get a complete breakfast.

Tried here a few times , food always good. The 2 last times iv ordered iv.had to wait up to half an hour for my food & people have come in after me and got theirs before me ? Extremely slow service, I won't be bothering again , I thought 3rd time lucky but no. Very un professional answer , so the staff used bad language against me lol , I am not bothered the last 2 times I visited wasn't in 37 degree heat and you were not busy! I will avoid dont worry

We have had 2 lots of Roast dinners delivered now and both have been fantastic, great value for money plenty of everything and arrives hot will be using this service again 👍🏻👍🏻 Update No5 have recently catered for our wedding in Lyme Regis delivering a wonderful Roast Dinner with all the trimmings and a massive tray of delicious cheesecake thanks again it was perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had my order delivered and it was very hot and tasty but the reason I took a star off was the use of polystyrene trays, I think you should use alternative recyclable materials, the delivery lady was very polite and professional under covid restrictions.

Excellent food. Just like having a pub meal. Very good value for money.
