Called in for a couple of glasses of wine it was our first time , what a delightful venue, and great owners Who were very welcoming. The pub will be offering food in the coming weeks , and when summertime returns what a great outdoor area they have .

The food in the restaurant was delicious - high quality, and definitely a cut above the average. We really enjoyed it and will return.

We booked in the the Wednesday night steak offer and it was excellent. The food and service were a delight and excellent value for money. Well worth a visit. We will be back!

Had such a lovely lunch here. Friendly staff, great service, delicious food and amazing wine. One of the best roasts we've had in a while and will book to come back for dinner.

So much to choose from on the menu and the starter and light meals are so reasonable Amazing starters and sharing plates. I could have just eaten those all night tbh. Coffee £3. Great service from the friendly Elliot, nice ambience, brand new kitchen which you can see from the restaurant. I had the smoked salmon platter and shared between 3 very easily for a starter along with arancini . Desserts reasonably priced too although we were so full we only managed a coffee.

Four of us went for an evening meal between Christmas and New Year. Very quiet with only a couple of tables taken that night. The food was excellent. Service very attentive and knowledgeable about the produce. We had the sharing platter to start which was massive and filling even when shared four ways. Mains were high quality and cooked to perfection. Only gripe was it felt a little steep. Bill well over £200 with drinks. Definitely a venue for a treat!

After reading the reviews I decided that would be the place to celebrate my birtday with my family. I appreciate it would be busy as Christmas approaches but would have thought it would have enough staff. Table booked for 7-30 pm drinks arrived just after 8pm.Basic warm sourdough ordered as starter, 40 min later arrived after having a word with the waiter, meal arrived around 9pm, an hour and a half after we arrived. Signature steaks ordered. they were chewy to say the least, got cold very quickly as served on cold plates, but the chips were great. Paying the bill which included 12-5% service charge with cash the waiter asked me if I wanted the change. Overall not somewhere to recommend.

First time at the new location, had been a few times at the previous home. Great to be able to sit in the bar and enjoy a few drinks prior to eating. Steak was lovely, staff were attentive, fun and good to deal with. We opted for a dessert to share which was equally lovely.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. First impressions were it had been rushed to open, there weren’t enough finishing touches - hole in the roof by table, nothing in the fireplace, building work noises coming from the next room. Staff pleasant but not attentive enough. Ordered a side, asked for it to be served with the mains, but came out as a starter. Quiet service but didn’t see the waiter for ages until the main arrived. Steak looked great but was undeniably rare after asking for medium rare. Again waited a very long time for waiter after main course - we were going to have dessert but decided not to due to delay. Overall the food was strong but everything else lacked finesse.

Had a fabulous experience last night . The food and service were top notch. Menu is varied and everything is freshly prepared, food tastes amazing and is extremely well presented. Great wine list and plenty of choose from behind the bar. Both Tom’s GM and Chef are a credit to the business . When the restaurant section opens in October it will be the icing on cake. See you all soon Peter

We went to No 3 last week to have a drink and see what it was like, the Merryfellow having previously been a pretty underwhelming pub. We sat in the garden and noticed that most tables were taken, so there was a good buzz about the place. The food looked and smelled delicious and as the wine was very nice, we said we would go back again and eat there. We have just been for lunch and both thought it was excellent. The ingredients are of a good quality, it was a bit different and it was a very nice lunch out. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I hope it goes well for them, no reason why it shouldn’t. We will be visiting again soon.

A great evening with both excellent food and service. The mushroom arancini and scallop Small Plates were as gorgeous as they were generous, and the Big Plate salmon with fennel, samphire, and crab salad was beautifully cooked. The guys shared the special being trialled which was 1 kilo of slow cooked short rib with red wine jus, horseradish sauce, green beans & carrots, and skinny fries, they absolutely loved it and so did I from the one mouthful I was allowed 😂 Staff couldn't do enough to help, and their attention and good humour added to a relaxed and very enjoyable evening. It was also great to see Phil visiting all the tables and chatting, especially as it was the first night of the Rugby World Cup! Already looking forward to our next meal and just popping in for a drink too which we hadn't realised we could do.

We arrived and our seats on a cold and damp evening were in an outside seating area with a plastic sheet to keep the rain off The food was on a limited menu with only 2 choices for a gluten free diet The steak ordered was mainly gristle The pudding truffles at £2 a chocolate are just a rip off

Third time of visiting since it’s opening in Charlton Kings and each time has been 5 stars. Today we had the lunch special- pork chop with braised cabbage and cider gravy. Absolutely delicious and £12 or £15 with a decent glass of wine. What’s not to love. I would highly recommend. Oh and the beef croquettes , mushroom arancini, burgers and salmon ( dishes we’ve tried so far) are also absolutely delicious!

The atmosphere is good and service is excellent. The Thursday lunch special (pork chop with braised cabbage) was delightful and a bargain at £15 including a very pleasant glass of wine. We think No3 could easily become our favourite restaurant in Cheltenham.

We met with friends at the Vine with the idea of eating there. However, as a couple of our group have very conservative tastes, we decided against it, hence no stars for food. However, I have to say their menu looked great. Three stars for the atmosphere again was only because there was virtually nobody in there. I sure later in the day would have been better. A definite 5 star for the lone bar staff, who was so warm and welcoming we felt it was a shame to leave her. I'd sum up the Vine as quirky but nice.

Popped yesterday. Slightly industrial quirky finish to the tables and chairs. Lots of interesting wall art - loved the hand drawn area map. Coffee bean bags. A nice cosy relaxed vibe. Looked in the cake cabinet - oh my words I’ve never seen so many flavours of tray bake & brownies. A lot with various chocolate bars incorporated in them. I ate an almond brownie. Delicious & sticky. Coffee was superb. I’d happily pop in regularly if I lived closer.

Bad coffee, really tasted awful. The staff were perfectly friendly but just don't know coffee. Edit: In response to your reply, I came in September, but was recently reminded.
