We had a delicious evening meal here and decided it was so good we had to go back and taste the food from the lunch menu. We were not disappointed. Excellent choice of food from the lite bites menu. You also have an option to order from the main menu, specials, catch of the day plus desserts if you have room. We both had Ginger & Hoisin beef loaded fries with the most beautiful looking side salad we’ve ever seen! The dressing on the salad was also delicious. Price for lunch was very reasonable for the quality of food we paid £31.95 for two light bite meals, side salad and two coffee’s. Table water is brought to the table and there is good choice available from the drinks menu including cocktails. We finished with a good quality coffee. This is a place I’d definitely recommend to dine at. Lovely atmosphere on this visit yet again. Staff gave excellent service. Toilet facilities are very modern and kept very clean.

We went there for our anniversary meal. The food was amazing and so well presented. Souffle was gorgeous! My No 3 mega salad was lovely. My husband had the beef brisket which was to die for. The desserts were lovely too. I really can't fault the food. The staff were friendly and attentive. Slight niggle was how close together the tables were. Hard to have a relaxed conversation when the table next to us were so close. However, I would definitely come back again. So worth a stop to eat there if you ever stop in Ross.

Absolutely lovely - greeted by a beautiful setting and ambiance and lovely warm smiley staff! Despite being super busy service was quick and the menu options were all divine! A great selection for those in our party who had allergies and were vegan. We were all blown away with the presentation and quality of the food - incredible! I cannot wait to return. Thank you for making our dining experience such a fantastic one!

Had the pleasure of celebrating our daughter's birthday here on Saturday evening. The service and food were exceptional, and there is such a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend and look forward to a return visit soon!

Lovely quiet place in Ross, exceptional food and presentation. Really attentive staff, eye for detail is on point. Lovely cosy atmosphere. Dedicated, knowledgeable staff. Get the cheese souffle. Trust me.

We’ve been to No.3 before but not for a long time. Not sure why we left but so long. They get a big credit for having comfy padded seats just for starters. The food was varied, tasty, well presented and enough to satisfy the hungriest. If in doubt have extra chips, they’re good. Nicely busy, and attentive staff made for a very pleasant evening.

Decided to go to Ross on Wye for a day trip. Came across this place. Absolutely fantastic place. Cannot recommend enough. Just had the light bite lunch but was really good. Just go is my recommendation.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The service was amazing (despite three fact we were embarrassingly late, which they were very kind and accommodating about) and the food was delicious, all the flavours so delicately paired together.

Fantastic food and ambience on a Wednesday night. Why wait until the weekend to enjoy double baked cheese soufflés, pork, caper and leek pie, sea bass, pork belly with bubble & squeak croquette and the most divine desserts. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were perfect. Highly recommend for a fabulous, well priced, relaxing evening out. We will be back.

Grubby looking restaurant/cafe. Tiny amount of food for maximum money. I left after a chicken breast dinner feeling hungry and needing a sandwich elsewhere.

Excellent find. We had lunch there. Light bites menu. Mussels, Korean pulled pork fries and Super salad with halloumi. Delicious and beautifully cooked. Lovely attentive staff, nice atmosphere.

We came here for our silver wedding anniversary, and it was fabulous! From start to finish. They even surprised us with a little anniversary treat at the end! Which was very much appreciated!

One of the very few occasions when I have been able to have a starter, main and dessert without half the ingredients being left out. Very popular and so very busy. The vegan super salad starter, the fish of the day main and the vegan chocolate tart were all delicious. Just the right portion sizes too. Will definitely go back to try out the rest of the menu.

Absolutely superb food. I'll haven't had a meal that good in a very long time. Everything was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. Each dish was crafted with pride combining indredients that complimented every mouthful. For starter I had Parmasan and pulled pork gougère, followed by pork belly and for desert fig & date sticky toffee pudding from the specials board. I had a "Banks Of Thr Wye" cocktail which was smooth and refreshing. I can't wait to return!

Just passing through en route from the Midlands to Wales: delicious food in stylish surroundings. My wife remarked that most of the customers were women. I agreed and added that it was surprising as both the ladies who served us were beautiful. (My wife is very understanding). Men of Ross, what are you doing?

No3 never fails to deliver - excellent food, outstanding service, in a well designed dining room. The menu is peppered with some brilliant and imaginative combinations that make every visit unique. All the staff are warm and friendly, there when you need them and not overbearing. As a vegetarian I always find plenty to choose from and never leave disappointed. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to get back!!!

I ate here about 6 months ago and had a wonderful time: creative menu, delicious food, good service, so I was excited at the prospect of repeating that first experience. I was so disappointed! It barely seemed like the same restaurant. The service was fine, only as much as you would expect. But the food was awful. Everything was overcooked or actually burnt. My Asian salad consisted of dried out overcooked bits of pork in what looked and tasted like a bottled sauce. My fish was burnt and dry and served with tough kale and pumpkin. Pumpkin and fish is a marriage I was happy to try, as you never known. It really doesn't work. My two friends,the same ones who had shared that fine experience with me 6 months ago both had similar tales of woe to tell. And all that (just the 2 courses because there were no desserts on the menu that appealed - with an unremarkable bottle of white wine) came to £40 each for lunch. Very expensive for such poor quality. I can only think the chef was off sick. Or perhaps there's been an unsuccessful change of management.

Oh my what an amazing meal we have had tonight, we have heard so much about No3 I thought I'd take my wife there for her birthday and it was so good. I had lamb with minty peas and beans and my wife had braised beef, beautiful absolutely beautiful. For dessert Lynne wanted cheese and crackers and I went for Deconstructed treacle tart with ice cream, this was new on the menu that night. All I can say is get there and order it as it just delicious, the treacle is from Douglas fir tree and it's just devine. While we were eating our dessert and cheese the waitress bought a flaming candle (firework) in some ice-cream with Happy birthday written in chocolate sauce on the plate, this made my wife's night as we weren't expecting anything. Thank you for a lovely evening and fantastic food, definitely coming back for more Douglas fir treacle.

Fantastic local independent with great food and service, highly recommended.

We had a dinner here yesterday and it was absolutely lovely. I went for the Pumpkin risotto which I expected to be great but it surpassed my expectations, and my girlfriend's steak was perfectly cooked. The service was fantastic too, everyone was lovely and very attentive without being pushy. The only feedback I'd give is that I would consider adding one or two more wines to higher end of the list (£60-£80), after all, you do have Dom Perignon on the sparkling side! For such a busy little restaurant with great food and service, they would sell themselves!

We discovered the delightful No3 Restaurant when we were staying in Ross-on-Wye for a long weekend. As soon as we walked in, we were made to feel very welcome. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation - but my advice is to book as this is a very popular place! We chose a baked camembert as a sharing starter, and it came with a variety of delicious breads and a tasty plum chutney. Our main courses were both excellent, and the portion size was perfect. The wine we chose was very special as a birthday treat for my husband, and it was very smooth and fruity. The owner and all of the staff were very friendly, and overall, it was a wonderful and relaxed dining experience.

Delicious food and fantastic service. Three of us dined, all with different meals and each one was superb, both for taste and presentation. The decor is beautiful and calming too and super friendly staff. Well done to all.

Absolutely fantastic food, with great attention to flavour and texture that was completely unexpected. Not tonnes of options as a vegetarian, but what I had (cheese souffle, mushroom soup) was *absolutely* delicious and I would order the exact same again. Incredible desserts, wonderful service, and the best (rhubarb) negroni I've had. Truly a joy! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Such a relaxed, welcoming, friendly restaurant to have a meal with my beloved on a wet and windy evening 2 weeks ago. I had the best Aperol spritz ever, a celeriac steak and eton mess. A real gem of a place. Thank you.

Exceptional from Ben answering the phone to book a table until he said goodbye as we left. The most pleasant,polite and professional hosts we've ever come across and seemingly sincere as well. Mussels with different breads, aged balsamic and virgin olive oil to start. Gail had fillet with chimichurre etc, I had belly pork and mash, both fabulously tasty and well prepared and not simple as it reads, 2 coffees and a decent bottle wine £102 and worth every penny. Book for safety as it was full for 2 sittings on a Tuesday and if it hadn't been our last night we'd definitely returned. Couldn't find a single fault, well done all.

My self and my husband dined at No 3 this evening and it was excellent all round , we wouldn’t normally have three courses but when they said the soup was mushroom we had to say yes please, it was delicious, Jarrod had a fillet steak which was so tender it melted in the mouth , I myself had the slow cooked Pork which was delicious the crackling was perfect as was the mashed potato and vegetables, then dessert Jarrod had the sponge pudding soaked in rum he really loved it , my dessert was off the special board , Eton mess with a difference orange moose with raspberries and a lemon sorbet and flowers 😊 it was Devine . The service was excellent, the atmosphere perfect . Thank you Darren , Ben and all the other staff and compliments to the chefs. We have had a lovely evening. We highly recommend if you haven’t tried no 3 before.

We absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant in Ross. The food, service and ambience are all superb. Such an all around wonderful meal every time. The dishes are amazing, so well balanced and delicious, our fussy eating kids were incredibly well looked after and the desserts are literally to die for.

I ate here twice with my mum and both times were very good experiences. The food and drink were very, very good (and not expensive for the quality served - far from it). The service was attentive and brisk without making us ever feeling hurried. The atmosphere is warm, pleasant and the size of the restaurant gives it enough of a vibe while still feeling intimate enough. On the second occasion we had difficulty getting a taxi to take us home (the moral is to book the taxi in advance, which we did not do - there seems to be a mismatch between supply and demand in Ross-on-Wye). My mum is in her late 80s and would not have been able to walk back to our accommodation. The owner's wife came out from her home and drove us home, a gesture of such kindliness and consideration it deserves special mention. There are not many restaurants where you can say the staff literally go the extra mile. That said, I would not want this to eclipse the fundamentally excellent, and beautifully appealing, food at the heart of the dining experience.

Had an amazing meal for 6 of us here on Saturday night. Staff were incredibly attentive and the whole evening felt relaxed and just a really lovey pleasant atmosphere. Food was just incredible, a step above anything i’ve had for a while. Definitely recommend the banoffee pie!

Wonderful!!! Really brilliant place to eat - food superb and staff absolutely amazing. Dealt with our rascally kids and clumsiness (2 spills in one sitting!) with a laugh and a smile. Brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious!!

We had dinner last night 15/4. Both had the cheese soufflé to start. It was unbelievable. The best one I've ever eaten. My main of stonebass was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was faultless. My partner had lamb, simply stunning! We can't wait to visit again.

This restaurant is definitely THE place to visit. Exceptional food quality, great service and amazing staff, and independently owned and run - a few bigger restaurants could learn a thing or two from how this place is run. The menu caters for all tastes - there's a really good selection of drinks, cocktails, mocktails and dessert shots - especially the jam doughnut! It's a really homely, cosy and warm atmosphere with the staff being attentive but not intrusive - relaxed, informal dining at its absolute best. We will definitely be back when we're visiting Ross-on-Wye again.

Fantastic lunch, (23/06/21) made to feel very welcome as a walk-in customer. Friendly and very efficient staff who clearly cared about customers having a good experience. Great starters (scallops & cauliflower bonbons) and mains, all beautifully cooked and presented. Good for “special” meals. Still 5 stars today (23/03/23), sublime fish cookery of the Hake special and a lovely Orange & Syrup Sponge. “The” place for a special meal in Ross.

Service was informative and friendly without being over zealous. Can tell they had a passion for their restaurant. Food was good along with a choice of drinks. Great from an independent restaurant.

Myself and partner shared a lovely dining experience here on valentine's night. The food and service were absolutely faultless. We indulged in a showstopping beef wellington to share. It was perfection.

This was exquisite from start to finish. No wonder it's constantly booked. The atmosphere is elegant yet casual. The staff were efficient and helpful. The service was quick but not rushed and the food was to die for! It is far better than many of the other restaurants I've been to around the area. The no3 mocktail was the best drink I've ever had. I can't wait to go back!

The staff were extremely rude, seemed upset that we had even walked through the door (wrong type of people apparently), and tried to get us to leave as quickly as possible. We felt unwelcome for the entire 10 minutes we were inside and left without ordering. Clearly they felt they were "too good" for us. But luckily we found somewhere much more welcoming around the corner.

Outstanding example of great service by all, an excellent menu backed up by an outstanding portion size and taste. Highly, highly recommended. Absolute gem. Scotch egg starter is superb.
