The lady chef with the beautiful singing voice was a joy to listen to, she glided around the kitchen with a smile on her face, and the poached eggs were the best I have had. I watched her check every poached egg before it went out and can’t fault the service either on a extremely busy Saturday and nothing was too much short haired blonde lady was so polite and bubbly as were they all. Will be telling my friends, very impressed.

The waitress was pleasant but the snacks weren't We ordered two toasted tea cakes one arrived over toasted the other had barely seen the grill. The quality was extremely poor they had no taste, were dry and hard to swallow despite spreading 3 little packs of butter on plus it was spot the sultanas. Suggest you change your supplier and perhaps find a much better quality of teacake to match the quality tea that you do serve. I would willing pay more for a quality product

A small cafe with a big heart and nice food. We have been several times and their brunches are excellent and their salad is generous and tasty. Lovely coffee. The staff are friendly and happy to accommodate: we had one guest that didnt like avocado, another didnt like cucumber - no problem. The children's toastie I would not recommend - white bread flattened so thin you couldnt discern the cheese inside and rather dry. It might have been a bad day or unfortunate choice. We will return for those tasty salads though.

Popped in here for lunch and glad we did. The food was delicious and so was the coffee. The staff were very busy but so polite friendly and helpful, making sure everyone was attended to during a busy lunch period. I've been here several times now and find the food and service to be consistently good and of high quality so I thought I'd leave a review to tell others how good this place is. All the food is nice but I would recommend the full English breakfast which is really good here. Good selection of cold drinks too which is important for me when visiting with my son who is quite picky about what he will drink.

I have eaten in this cafe several times with my grandchildren. We have had family visitors from the North East and wanted to take them there for a treat. Visited on the bank holiday Monday. Very busy, as to be expected. We were in no rush though enjoying family time. There were 7 of us sitting down. Glad we had pre-booked! Greeted as we arrived and shown to our table. Drinks orders taken and delivered promptly with smiles and HUGE lusciously delicious milkshakes! Menu caters for all tastes, including vegan, gluten free, etc etc. Specials displayed on an easy to read board on the wall with a food and drinks menu on the tables. The delicious food came quickly and looked as good as it tasted! It easy to tell that this is a well loved local enterprise. There were quite a few “regular” customers in today, greeted by name and made to feel welcome. Friendly competent staff made our visit a great one. See you soon folks!

Last minute booking for brunch We were at the back it was cold due to the back door being open. Was looking forward to tuna melts again but no tuna was available Had the panini special One of them the ham was quite fatty The girl who took our order was still looking at the board writing down walking away and accidentally knocked the girl coming forward with our lattes Unfortunately the girl carrying was covered in coffee and upset left the upside down cup and full cup which the saucer was full of milk on our table and walked into the back One of the lattes was refilled I had to ask for a cloth to wipe the split latte up and also ask for a clean saucer as the other one was swimming in the coffee, this was not changed . The girl brought 2 glasses with ice in and left on our table I had to ask a few minutes later for tap water to be poured in. Just thought it was a bit messy and didn’t really care about the customers This is the 1st bad experience I’ve encountered

My son and daughter in law took me for a walk around Romiley Park with my grandson and we stopped off here for coffee and breakfast. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside, and although situated on a fairly high street, it was pleasant. There was a high chair provided for my grandson upon arrival. Everything appeared to be clean and well presented. Service was good as we were seen to straight away with drinks, followed by breakfast after we had been given time to peruse the menu. My grandson loved the vegan Bakewell Tart and me, I loved your poached eggs on sourdough. Pleasant experience on a lovely sunny bank holiday morning. Thank you.

Been here twice now even though we live in Bolton. First time was by accident but second time was intentional. It's a bit small, and you might have to wait a short time to be seated at busy times but the wait is worth it, the food is very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Staff were lovely, greeted by a very happy polite young man and shown to table. My only concern with this place is it's really dirty. It could do with a deep clean. The cake display looked grubby and dirty. Our sugar bowl was disgusting and to top it off there was a dead fly in the bottom of it. The packets of sugar were coated with food that looked like they had been there a while. I only ordered a cup of tea as I was put off and felt really uncomfortable. My elbows we're sticking to the table. Sorry I cannot recommend this place but the staff were nice. My husband's food was just ok, the BLT looked a little dry and not appetising.

We decided to try brunch here, from recommendations from locals after travelling up from derby. We sat outside as it was sunny, the staff were busy so did not get chance to bring menu's out to us we saw one in the window and decided what we wanted from there. I proceeded to order the food, everything came as we requested. However the full English was very oily, making everything seem to look and taste like it had been swimming in grease, the eggs were a little over done for my liking. With regards to the eggs royale, we found a bone in the salmon, and some scales. The sauce was very sweet not very creamy. However the service was great and the atmosphere could not be faulted. We would like to visit again given the chance as the reviews are good indicating that our visit was perhaps a irregular occurrence.

Our first visit to No29 last week was a disappointment to say the least (mainly because it was my turn to pay!). My wife and I popped in, sat down and ordered 2 wraps (all good so far). 15 minutes later, we were still waiting (it wasn't that busy!). I asked if the food would be much longer as we only had half an hour before we needed to be back home, I was told it was just coming (frustrating, but not the end of the world, I hear you all say!). Then 2 of the worlds smallest wraps landed on our table (I say landed, a feather would have made a louder thud!). Now if I was dieting, it would have been perfect (in the sense that very little was about to pass my lips and descend into my now 'desperately craving food' stomach). I get upset when I go for a Michelin meal and receive a portion fit for a mouse, but I actually thought in this instance, I would have been satisfied, this was portion control gone Brexit!!! (a small wrap, lettuce leaf, piece of chicken that Stuart Little could have swallowed whole! and a blob of sauce must surely come under the trades description act as not even being a snack)

Small but perfectly formed ! So to speak. The 29 is a charming iff mildly quirky Coffee Shop with a select range of deli items. The ladies who look after you especially the owner are friendly and welcoming. But the highlight of my visit was to discover that the “all home-made” cakes feature the most authentic New York cheesecake outside the Big Apple. We came here for breakfast to try somewhere new for our weekend breakfast fix. We sat on one of the tables outside as it was such a lovely day. I ordered a large breakfast for £8.25. It had 2 thick rashers of bacon full of flavour, 2 tasty chipolata sausages, a lovely if slightly crispy slice of black pudding, a smallish banne marie of baked beans which were okay. A reasonable portion of mushrooms, only half a slice of grilled tomato which seemed a bit stingy, 2 fried eggs one cooked all the way through, one with a runny yolk. Would have been nice if they had asked me how I would like my fried egg cooked. One slice of white toast with butter was expecting more toast considering the price I paid. After reading the good reviews we gave the No 29 a try, but sad to say we did not have a good lunch. We do not like putting bad reviews, but perhaps it may help to know. We were informed there was a slight wait, but 45 minutes and were informed it still would be another 7 mins. I had already drunk a full pot of tea. The table next to us were ordering another round of drinks as they had also waited too long. Maybe breakfast time is better but lunchtime no.

We've eaten at No 29 a few times this year , but was very disappointed on this occasion. Arriving at Cafe at 9:am we were the first people in and was suprised that the first & second table we sat at both had detritus under them from yesterday's service, which is quite off putting. With regard to our breakfasts the 3 full English that we ordered only the eggs and sausages were hot every thing else was just warm. And the Eggs Florantine to 3 attempts to serve. Altogether very poor and at £ 47 not good value.

A wonderful coffee shop in the heart of the community. Great atmosphere. The staff are so accommodating, efficient and friendly. You can call for a Coffee, afternoon tea, or a full meal. A great meeting place for everyone. Myself and my daughter meet there regularly for a 'catch up'. It is wonderful!!!

This is an unassuming coffee house delicatessen. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, whether you go for a coffee and a chat or to have something to eat. The service is quick without rushing, and the food extremely tasty, and reasonably priced. Well worth visiting as it's not pretentious, the staff genuinely want you to enjoy your visit, and their food.

Really disappointed with how long we waited for food today :-( we ordered at 1.15pm and when hot drinks arrived 10mins later we were told there was a 20mins delay. We accepted what they said but then the food didn't arrive until 35mins later!! We struggled to entertain a 2yr old whilst waiting and our car parking time was due to run out nearby!! The food was okay and expensive but it was only a variety of soups and sandwiches!! God knows what the delay was!?! NO offer of a new hot drink or any apology or discount! Service was the worst we've ever had there. Such a shame!

Love this place, this is where I want to go every time I visit Romiley. Best coffee in town, the Latte and the Mocha are spot on. Great for lunch there will be a tasty meal for even the finicky diner. Try it, you'll LIKE it!

Called in for Lunch on Saturday. Quite busy but were offered a choice of tables and it was quickly cleared and reset for us. Good range of food on the menu, can recommend the fish finger sandwich! My son had the club sandwich which is made with freshly sliced bread! All the ingredients are locally produced, well worth a visit.

One of a number of cafe's in Romiley but I think the nicest. Good service in this relatively small shop, fair range of cakes and good menu for lunches.

Had the most amazing cream tea for a reasonably priced £3-95. The scone was huge with a generous dish of jam and separate cream. Melted in your mouth... a teapot for one with its cup and saucer underneath, all very civilised.

The menu offers everything you’d expect to see in your average British cafe. Food is always cooked wonderfully.😋 All of the staff are kind and helpful and will do anything to make you comfortable. The coffees are lovely too! The play room at the back is perfect for after you’ve filled your belly! I meet here all of the time with my mummy friends! They have a little gift shop too where you can find kids gifts 👌

This pub had a warm, friendly vibe and wood burning fire on. Upholstery throughout with wooden panelling on the walls.

I have been coming to this fab cafe since it opened with my children when they were younger with other mummies and have also used it as a business space. The staff are always really accommodating and since the pandemic have worked really hard to accommodate everyone they can whilst making everyone feel safe and welcome. The food is fantastic and we always recommend it to everyone. Even during a difficult time with the rules changing all the time they are still smiling and making everyone feel very welcome
