We recently held a family 90th celebration here with about 20 of us (all ages) booked in for lunch. We had a carvery lunch, (choice of 3 meats, good selection of vegetables and sauces, all piping hot),which was excellent followed by a choice of 5 desserts all superbly presented. The room was arranged to make the while experience intimate and friendly. Pre lunch drinks around a fire with comfy chairs beforehand. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout. All in all a extremely positive experience and i would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for other functions.

A group meal before Christmas - starter was poor, main course very poor. The waitresses were pleasant and helpful but management not prepared to discuss concerns. After trying to resolve matters with the supervisor eventually managed to speak with manager who was extremely rude and agressive. We are huge fans of this eatery, and have been coming here fairly regularly since 2012, on this last visit we were told that the restaurant manager (Stuart) had left for pastures new - what a disappointment, for Stuart WAS the face ands personality of No.19, Head Chef Jamie is still here, so you can be assured both the quality of ingredients & the quality of cooking has not changed (Thank Goodness!) We called in for lunch (£10 for 2 Courses) My good lady had the Home Made Tomato Soup followed by Beer Battered Fish & Chips, whilst I started with the Pate, before tasting the Battered Haddock, both coursed were very tasty, and excellent value for money, amazingly, we were the only couple in the restaurant! Some mysteries will never be solved (when WILL England win the World Cup again? How does the man who drives the Snow Plough get to Work?) And being the couple in for Lunch midweek is another........

A group of ten of us met for lunch to celebrate a birthday and had a lovely time. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and left to read the menu and chat. She was attentive (as well as very patient!) and we never felt as if we were being rushed. Between us, we chose almost everything that was on the special "2 courses for £10" menu. The food was all very tasty and beautifully presented and very good value for money. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable experience, one we would definitely repeat.

I won a free 4 course meal for 4 adults during Christmas, I was very excited about this so we travelled to Stratford and stayed in a nearby hotel. It was a freebie so I won't complain too much but I'm glad it wasn't something we had to pay for. I'm told that the real price would have been £35 per person which it wouldn't have been worth. The first barman to serve me just looked at me like I was too much trouble for him to serve, he finally acknowledged me and said "Yes!?" there was nothing welcoming from him, he was very rude in this respect. Now for the food - The starter (confit as well as the soup) were both surprisingly bland, it lacked flavour and could have done with some seasoning. The majority of the main, however, was delicious minus the frozen veg.. which was undercooked and hard. I don't understand why people think it's acceptable to use frozen veg in good restaurants, I'd expect it in a 2-for-1 chain but not a posh place. The dessert was also disappointing (brownie as well as crème brulee). The male manager walking around behind the waiters/waitresses seemed very nice and engaged in conversation with us which was lovely as were all the other waiters and waitresses, it was just the one barman I had an issue with. I wouldn't come back here unfortunately as my initial visit wasn't up to standards, sorry. I give this 3.5 out of 5 as a rating.

Visited for lunch with my old friend Tom, didn't know anything about the restaurant beforehand and not heard of before I had no expectations. The restaurant is attached to a golf club and hotel. I expected it to be quiet on a Wednesday lunchtime in September but we were actually the only diners in the restaurant. The restaurant was nicely decorated if a bit sparse, not many soft furnishings and it was also cold in temperature, Tom didn't remove his scarf throughout our meal. The waiter was very friendly and smiley, I had the burger and chips which was very tasty although all a little dry and could've benefited from mayonnaise, ketchup some sort of moisture from relish, Tom had the prawn linguine which he said was very good, we both had very tasty and beautiful looking deserts. We sat in the bay window overlooking lovely countryside views and the entrance from the car park to the golf club, it felt a little goldsfish bowl like, occasionally as male players past the bay window some smiled and waved and one even gave me the thumbs up and I'm really not quite sure what it was all about and don't think I really want to. To sum up:Food was ok, restaurant was cold and a bit deserted, would I return? Only if playing golf, assuming women are allowed access to all areas of the club.

The hotel is situated just outside of Stratford. The actual place itself is a golf course, and has nice views of the green as well as over the local area as its on a bit of a hill. Car park is pretty big so plenty of room.We visited on a Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday meal and were impressed by the decor. When we got there early there was not a sole around, but the place was open, we could have emptied the place and no one would have known. Service by a young teenage boy, who was very pleasant, but obviously untrained, but attentive. We Sat outside of the restaurant whilst our starters were being prepared as it was a warm evening. candle lit and cosy. The Starters were superb, Goats Cheese, Beetroot Stack topped with Parma Ham absolutely delicious first rate, I then had the Braised Ox Cheeks, flavourless despite swimming in gravy my partner had Linguine with Prawns. There has been a huge amount of money spent on interior design but unfortunately the basic requirements for a successful restaurant are just not there. We were the only booking till 8.45 when another couple turned up. This place should be buzzing, but judging from the other reviews, it would benefit from Staff training and some serious PR to promote it. It could be world class if they just put the effort in... Come on owners pull finger.....

We used Ingon Manor for a wake when a family member died, what a super place. We were afforded a beautiful beamed room with a roaring log fire which was most welcome on a very dismal November day. It was warm and cosy with low lightingThe food was simple buffet food which was perfect, nothing too over the top but very apt for the occasion. There was tea and coffee on tap and a bar close by for those who needed something a little stronger. A young man was on hand at all times to clear away used plates and tea cups and to check we were all ok, his presence was most reassuring, so polite and smiley. We left feeling better after a difficult day and can't thank them enough for the caring, welcoming and dignified way in which they treated everyone. Myself & my partner went for my birthday, we happened to come across it on the Gourmet Society website and thought we'd give it a go whilst away for the weekend in the area after reading the reviews on here. We called and booked a table for within the hour. We arrived a little bit early and were prepared to wait and have a drink, but were told that we could order straight away if we wanted which we did. We were seated in front of the lovely fire in such comfy tub chairs whilst with our very reasonable bottle of red whilst waiting for our meal. We were then moved through to our candlelight table, again in front of a fire, which on a chilly evening outside was great. The food arrived promptly and was outstanding. The tables were cleared discretely and without fuss. We had 3 courses, the pigeon breast salad & ham hock, lamb & beef fillet and honeycomb cheesecake & panacotta. All 3 courses were gorgeous, lovely presentation. The whole evening was fantastic and the gentleman serving us was lovely, friendly & helpful and despite there being a large party in we were treated as though we were the only one's there. We really can't recommend this place enough. Fantastic for the atmosphere, setting, decor and most importantly, food. A lovely place for that special occasion. I was lucky enough to spot this Groupon deal and visited last Friday. A lovely entrance up a drive to a golf course, the restaurant overlooks the course and miles of open countryside views. We were made very welcome and there were two lovely log fires blazing in big inglenooks. The staff were very attentive and friendly and I have to say they must have an amazing chef. The starters were exceptional and I was not expecting haggis scotch eggs to be like these - absolutely wonderful and my husband's deep fried fish starter was so delicate and tasty. The chicken and mushroom pie was most unexpected as it was made in a deep basin filled with chicken, bacon, mushrooms and the tiniest whole onions imaginable with a most fantastic sauce/gravy filled up to the top which had a super home made proper piece of pastry covering it and the large chips stayed hot right to the end of the meal. My husband, although he enjoyed his, did say that the tuna was a little dry, but that it was better than having it too rare in the middle. Again, with the puddings, which were not part of our Groupon voucher, were exceptional which we just had to try. I couldn't resist the panna cotta which was wonderful and came with some lovely cherries and almond ice cream. My husband's lemon tart with cherry icecream was exceptional tasting just like a really good home made lemon curd.I would love to go there again as the surroundings were so beautiful. The bar and restaurant were lovely and cosy with the open fires and would like very much to thank them for the Groupon deal, giving us the opportunity for this wonderful experience.

One minor niggle was that several different members of staff approached us in quick succession at one point - but perhaps better that than no service. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was well presented and we thought our main course of duck was especially flavoursome.

I wish to goodness we had not gone here for lunch. Both the service and food were poor. I can only guess from the last two rave reviews that the chef was off sick! The staff were a bit dithery and hopeless. When ordering salad , I had the repy , "so thats the vegetables then? Oh and what did you want for main?" hardly what I would call attentive. The starters were sparse, and a bit amateurish , but just about passable , but the mains were apalling. Dry ,overcooked chicken, sparse sea bass on hugely overflavoured sludgey potatoes. The salad when it arrived was smothered in balsamic vinegar - infact they must have had vat of the stuff because it was drizzled just about every where ! We left at the earliest possibilty - I complained and was told that nobody else had , so there wasnt a problem! What a way to do businessThere a numerous bettter places to eat in Stratford upon Avon including M &S foodhall! Venture at your peril

Went to this restaurant for a family celebration, staff were very welcoming and friendly , as for the food it was spectacular had the scallops to start rib eyed steak for main cooked to my exact requirements and for desert a trio of the most amazing chocolate deserts, it was superb not had a meal like that for a long time. All the people in my party had a fabulous meal and no complaints from any one. Every one had a great night the atmosphere in the restaurant was good and the location and views are great. Highly recommend No. 19

I went to this restaurant within trepidation after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. However, my friend and I were treated well by the staff from the moment we entered, they were all friendly and helpful when asked about the food. I am allergic to fish and my inquiry as to whether any food contained hidden anchovies or other fish based products was dealt with swiftly, knowledgeably and courteously. The food itself was superb and well presented. This is no ordinary restaurant, it does not serve microwaved to death and prepared bought in food. It serves seasonal, chef prepared and cooked seasonal dishes and yes the portions aren't huge but they are large enough for the average appetite, fantastically cooked and taste amazing. If you want the former go to the local 2 for 1, but if you want a classy meal, served in spacious surroundings by very amenable waiting staff then give it a go, it's no dearer than some local pubs or bistros. I will be back there again.

We went in for lunch on a sunny Saturday and I'm sad to say there were people on the golf course but precious few in the restaurant, this led to us sitting alone in a pretty big room. The service was friendly and speedy but the food was expensive and sparse. My wife had thai salmon fishcake (Small) to start and I the chorizo and basil tart, both very pleasant. We both chose the free range pork for main and it was lovely, although at £13 I thought there would have been some vegetables but we had to have an extra £4 portion of those. Overall a good not great meal but too expensive in my mind and no atmosphere. Maybe different in the evening.

We were quite sceptical with going to the number 19 @ Ingon Manor, due to its poor review on Trip advisor and various website with regards to service issues and food quality – but thought we would give it a benefit of a doubt and try it anyway. When we arrived the barman at the lounge bar acted as a reception host as well, greeted us and directed us where to eat in the waiting area. We were then greeted by the waitress who also bought us a welcome dish from the chef – 4 little round cheese egg tarts, which we thought was a nice touch.Once they took our drinks order, moments later we were seated at our table. Initially the lighting was adequate but as its goes darker outside, the candle on the table was insufficient and barely able to see what you are eating. When the starter arrived, we had 2 scallops, a lamb Kofta and a cheese camembert with biscuits – we all thought the starter were delightful. We had ostrich steak, 2 x Roast Duck, and a pork loin for our meal course. The side dishes are extras at £3.25 each; we had an extra red cabbage, and 2 portions of fat chips. The texture of the Ostrich steak I thought of ordinary but along with the seasoning of the vegetable and how it was served it was a nice dish. My friend said the Pork Loin was nice but with too much fat attached to it, considering it came in quite a big size, it would be nice for the chef to trip some of the fat off it before serving. The Roast Duck which 2 of my guests were having provided a different story. The waitress described the Roast Duck being a bit pink in the middle and ensure we are happy with that, but when the 2 roast duck dishes arrived, either the duck was extremely mature or the roast duck were way overcooked, the meat was tough and hard to cut. We asked for 2 steak knives which took over 20 minutes to arrive after we had asked for it twice. When one of my guests told the waitress the meal was nice, but the main dish (duck) was really hard to cut, the waitress just responded to her “Ohh” and walked away. They have never really come back to ask how our main courses were like they did with the starter. When we finished our meal, which my guests have left most of the duck almost untouched, my guests told the waitress to tell the chef the duck was really tough and not pink as described. My guest then have to ask the waitress for the chef respond to which the waitress said the chef was really sorry and apologies on behalf of the chef. The waitress then asked if she would like to change her meal, by this time everyone has finished their meal. My guest then responded had she come back to ask how our meal was earlier, she would have changed it, but when all of us have finished our meal it seems pointless to change it now. My guest ensure she knows that was not the level of service she had expected from this establishment, considering the price they are charging and the image they are trying to portrait. Management was nowhere to be seen. We then proceeded to our dessert which was delightful again. We would have definitely recommended this establishment as long as you don’t have problem with your meal, however, if you do unfortunately run into any issues with any aspect of your meal like we do, and considering the nice ambience but with inadequate lighting, overall, considering the price they are charging, there are a lot nicer establishment in the vicinity of the number 19 which tick more boxes for us. It is also worth noting that the management of Ingon Manor and the number 19 don’t really care how it is being portrait on the internet, as there are several bad reviews on the net, but no were no signs of any explanation or follow up.

Zero atmosphere, zero personality from the male members of staff. The Baked Camembert had hardly seen the inside of an oven it was still cold in the middle, we were told after sending it back that Chef said that is how it should be served . The main course was only just adequate hardly a culinary delight that we were led to believe. Cutlery and Glassware 'spotted' with dishwasher marks - I wont say dirty but needed some attention to detail. Overall a very dissapointing evening meal and will not return or reccomend.

This is a new restaurant on the site of the Ingon Manor golf club. On arrival there was no sign indicating that the restaurant existed, you could easily be forgiven for driving past looking for the non-existent sign for No.19 Restaurant. The restaurant is in fact located right next to the public car park on the Ingon Manor golf club with the restaurant entrance being via the reception area (again, no sign). The menu items are varied enough but prices (for what you receive) were expensive, typically £17.95 for a main course excluding vegetables. I ordered the monkfish fillet and risotto which although very tasty the portion size was so tiny I was not sure if I had been furnished with a starter. Wine by the glass was limited to two house wines only, my wife chose the Sauv Blanc which was quite astringent. Decent beer was also limited to one ale and the usual mainline rubbish. The dining room is very pleasant, the staff very attentive but balancing up the cost, portions and limited wine/beer choices there are many better places to dine in the area. Pity as it could so easily be much better.

We stayed here and went to the restaurant to find it set for breakfast. On check out we discovered it had been closed for a year which caused issues as I’m type 1 diabetic! Shame also as the reviews were fantastic

A colleague from overseas and his wife were staying here on a few-days visit to UK. My wife and I joined them for dinner - and wow, we were so glad we did. The welcome from the staff, from the moment we walked in and throughout the evening was nothing short of wonderful. Friendly, professional and fun where appropriate. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent -- I would particularly recommend the Pigeon which I had as a starter - would have had it as main course if it had been an option. I suspect that if I'd asked, they would have accommodated that too - but there was plenty to choose from. All 4 of us enjoyed a great meal in a lovely space with a great view of the floodlit church in the grounds. Not cheap, but worth every penny - cannot recommend it highly enough and my wife and I are already planning to return soon.

Excellent in every way we were a group of friends all with dogs it’s a very dog friendly hotel. Mazine was the duty manager that weekend he was brilliant always there and happy to go that extra mile for the group. Fabulous food, clean spacious rooms and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel it’s in a great position friendly great food. I can’t understand why anyone could write a bad review if you want 5 star go to the Hilton or the Savoy
