No Forx Given in New Forest

Went there last night. Popped in but wasn’t hungry at the time but the smell made me go back 10 minutes later. The owner was superb. Found out what we wanted as we were queuing and got it cooking so we didn’t have to wait long. Fabulous fish and chips , would recommend. We will return next time in brockenhurst. Just wanted to take this opportunity to praise offbeet for never failing to deliver excellence. The restaurant was sadly closed by the government during the first wave of the pandemic and the team have bounced back during such a difficult time and adapted to meet with the ever changing government guidelines. They have created the new Offbeet deli open on weekends and I have to say, visiting on a Saturday for a doughnut and coffee is truly the highlight of my week. The team are always so welcoming and friendly and go out their way to assist and answer any questions that I might have. I would recommend to anyone! :)

The service was good and staff friendly. The food was unfortunately not good. I agree with the recent review below. The food was a strange colour, tasteless and the chicken was chewey and dry. The sauces looked like they came from jars and the atmosphere was more like a cafe than restaurant and almost completely empty. It was the worst curry I have ever had. Regret having to write this before the staff were so nice.

Fish had tonnes of bones in it. I know to expect some, but every mouthful is a lot. Also tasted a bit odd... oil needed changing as everything had a strange smoky flavour. A shame as this used to be a family favourite
