Sadly disappointed again , first visit we went up to the roof terrace and sat and sat waiting to be served and ended up leaving. Today a group of us wanted to sit on the roof terrace and have a few drinks , we walked in and were greeted with a grunt and rudely pointed to the stairs to the roof top, sadly they do not offer cocktails but we had a lovely round of gin, when leaving the bill was tossed onto the bar followed by another grunt! The place could offer so much more especially with a hotel across the road with guests wanting to venture out of the hotel. Customer service goes a long way unfortunately it’s completely lacking here !

We were welcomed by a young waiter who was very friendly and didn’t put us under any pressure to order quickly or to leave quickly. He was very polite and was extremely professional and served us well. The food was very nice I had the special tai green chicken curry which was very flavourful. My friends had fish and chips which it was a very large fish! The sticky toffee pudding was another large portion and served with cream, whipped cream or ice cream. Amazing service keep up the good work

Although we enjoyed a soup and bread roll for lunch we were extremely disappointed when we asked for 2 shortbread to takeaway and were presented with 2 tiny biscuits. We could’ve bought a whole packet for what we paid £4.20 I believe for these two tiny biscuits. It may have been £5 for the two. I was too embarrassed to refuse the biscuits and ask for a refund Absolutely shocking price

Nice enough, but our scones were a bit dry. I wouldn't normally put butter on my scone but I had to, to make it moist enough to be enjoyable. Good coffee and service, clean toilets. We've eaten here before but the scones let them down this time!

What as great restaurant in the middle of Blairgowrie. Our normal restaurant wasn’t open so we went looking and had been in this restaurant before and it was good. We were greeted and shown a seat by the window and heater. There was no pressure to order and we were given plenty of time to look over the menu, the specials were on the board. Once ordered the food arrived and it looked lovely, the portion size was large and the quality was very good. I had the chicken and chorizo pie with fries, my wife had sausage and mash, and my cousin had the fish and chips. We then had deserts and coffee which were of the same standard as the mains. Can’t wait to revisit and try more specials Thanks to the waiting staff and chef.

Sunday morning visit for coffee and panini. Young waitress didn't greet me when I arrived or when she came to table, just stood there. Panini tasty and served in good time. I went to pay standing right in front of waitress to ask where to pay. Before I could ask, she looked at me, didn't speak and went right past me to clear table. The man at the bar came to my rescue. There was no deduction for the fact that I had a small portion with no chips or salad. Won't be going back.

Looked in for tea and scones after day on the hills. Scone was brick hard, having been torched in a microwave. When asked if everything was ok for us, I did say that the scones were a bit hard and was looked at as if I had two heads. Well, how dare I answer a question honestly?? Blair is in the soft fruit heartland of Scotland...I was therefore amazed that the jam offered was a rank sachet of Duerr pretend jam. I wonder if this place is called Number 31 because that’s their ranking on the list of top places to eat in the town. Avoid.

Lunch time, friendly welcome, found a table, restaurant was draughty and on the cold side, so was the woman who took our order, food too a while to get to us (most customers had finished and no new orders were being taken). Toasted sandwich was the most basic I have ever eaten, chips good but not plentiful, chicken and sweetcorn soup seemed to be chicken and no sweetcorn, potato wedges quite pleasing. Came here on 30th June for a meal and drinks with friends . The food was good and was a good atmosphere in the pub . We were sitting outside and asked for the food bill to be told just to ask at the bar , we went down stairs and had another few drinks , totally forgot about the food bill we had previously asked for before leaving. Was shocked to find out that staff in the pub were asking friend and relatives about this food bill. I phoned the bar to pay the bill by card over the phone and was told not to worry just pay the next time I was in Blairgowrie ( I live in Glasgow ) was again shocked to find out again that friends were asked about this bill . I went into the bar to pay the bill on sat and was treated like a second class citizen. It’s ridiculous became the talk of Blairgowrie over a £24 food bill which would have been paid if the bill was given to me when I asked. Would like to speak to management regarding this issue . X

My wife and I, along with another couple called in around 7pm on a Saturday night after deciding that the limited and dreadfully expensive menu of the hotel we were staying in just wasn't worth it.We were greeted by a nice waitress who instructed us to sit where we liked so we chose a nice table by the window. The waitress approached us shortly, took our drinks order and after returning with the drinks told us about the specials and offers. The menu was quite simple and very reasonably priced. We ordered and the food was served promptly and piping hot. The portions were generous, the food well cooked and tasty. I had the leg of lamb, my friend the steak pie, and both my wife and my friend's wife had the macaroni cheese.Four mains plus two desserts and a round of drinks was just £55. We were enjoying ourselves chatting away as the place filled up so we stayed. A young singer/guitarist turned up and proved to be a talented young man and by now the place was quite busy with a mixed range of ages all who were good naturedly enjoying themselves, as indeed were we!The staff behind the bar were attentive, pleasant and good humoured, a delight to be served by. 3rd time I've been and 3rd time I've not enjoyed, portion size for price was terrible, no salad with meal and burger was undercooked. Last chance for this places food

I was in Blairgowrie and limited for time, parked in Wellmead and popped into No. 31 for a snack. Had a really nice tuna toastie and a pot of tea - just what I fancied - and the service was great. Good value too. There were a mixture of groups in that day - tables of two and some larger groups as well, so plenty of room for meeting up with friends for a more leisurely meal. The kind of place that one feels at ease being on one's own. I will definitely go back.

I noticed your comment on racism and blind eye in number 31 and also laughed at your rant on the fair o' Blair about bleach filled pints, I would like to say you must work in another establishment and are trying your hardest to get people through your doors.. Shallow attempt sir. For everyone else I have had a very enjoyable visit to this establishment and the bar staff are incredibly friendly no matter what race or colour you are.... I know this because I am Asian

We recently visited No 31 twice, on our way to the Highlands and on the way back.On both occasions, the service was very pleasant and friendly, with good food\drink at a reasonable price. No 31 has a friendly atmosphere with many of the locals making a fuss of our baby, which was lovely for him.We would certainly visit again if we ever pass this way in the future.

Watched the Scotland v England game in Number 31 tonight.A young few of a group of a dozen or so 18/19 year olds throughout the first half used racist language every time a black English player touched the ball.... Monkey chants, 'coon', 'N.....'This went on throughout the first half and even though I was about as far away from the bar as I could be, the bar staff didn't address it. An Indian woman and her husband left at half time.... Coincidence?Second half, six of the group from near the bar headed to our half of the pub, their racist shouts getting louder. Continued monkey chants, use of the 'N' word and shouts of 'Coon'...... The bar staff did nothing despite collecting glasses nearby during one outburst. One older guy sitting near by twice told the young guys to stop with the racist chanting, and it calmed a bit there after.I've lived in Blair for more than twenty years and have watched lots of football games involving black players on both home and away teams whether Scotland or an SPL team and I've never heard that kind of language. This group were all local and bar staff did nothing about it. These guys were an embarrassment to Scottish football and the bar staff did nothing.

I have eaten lunch here several times and have never been disappointed. A good selection on the menu which includes freshly made pizzas, hot and cold wraps, fish and chips, macaroni cheese and more. Nothing fancy, but made to order, good value and the service is friendly. It's not a restaurant as such, but a bar with seating, but it's popular with locals and is family-friendly.

We were staying at The Hydro, so decided to take lunch at the clubhouse on one of the days. A nice relaxed atmosphere, very clean, and friendly waiting staff. It’s just the job if you only want a casual snack.

Went for lunch yesterday with my parents and dog on arrival our table was clearly marked ours and there was already a bowl of water awaiting my dog I thought this was super sweet and thoughtful, the waitress we had was brilliant with my wee Jack Russell she gave him a few biscuits and attention he loved it. Service was quick and the food as always was delicious. Lovely warm welcoming place to eat out and we always choose here when we go for lunch. Great menu lots of choice.

We were enjoying a nice drink in the beer garden one sunny afternoon, when a youth started shouting & swearing at us because we were English (which was funny in itself because none of us are 100% English). The locals were appalled at his behaviour & the landlord immediately ejected him, however, it cast a shadow on our visit.

Popped in here for lunch with our dog. Decent amount of choice on the lunch menu. The steak pie was steak with a pastry top, rather than the pie we expected. The omelette was tasty and the portions were large. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.

Almost 5 pounds for a cappuccino for which no order has been taken at first, for which you then have to wait more than 20 minutes, with a spoon and sugar missing and, as a highlight, a 10% service fee appears on the bill? As beautiful as it is in Gleneagles - unfortunately we didn't like it at all...
