No. 10 Bar & Restaurant in Glasgow City

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Service was very good and friendly and afternoon tea was fairly standard stuff. Good selection and tasty. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and only when we got our bill did we realise that we had been given the most expensive bottle (£39!) and not the standard house bottle. With a difference in cost of £10 we were very annoyed that we had not been asked if we would like the dearer one but just given it. We assumed we would have been served the house Prosecco and not the most expensive one. When challenged the very friendly server soon changed their attitude and said this was the house one! We paid our bill and left and we will not be back. This left a very sour taste in the mouth and was extremely disappointing from this venue.

Booked lunch waited 1hr 20min for 3 orders food was cold.main course was served late again cold. Steak pie was poor quality and taste chips were wedges so hard a fork could not oenetrate and same with pastry ,fish order was returned uneaten as was 2 dishes of steak pie. Dessert was leftovers . Manager offered free drinks and apology as they had a function on ...no excuse for poor quality of food . 6 adults 1 child will never return .a big well done to our young waiter who was let down by his management

Phoned for a table for 18 people out garden for dinner /drinks 4 days prior Then turned up and they said they had ran out of food then said last orders where at 9pm because didn’t seem busy enough to keep opened Everyone was hungry should have been advised before we all turned up

Great, spacious beer garden on a lovely sunny day. It was Scottish Cup Final day and very busy, but the servers behind the bar did a pretty good job at keeping up with the crowd. The one downside was having to queue twice for 20 minutes to put in our food order, only to be told again that they weren't ready yet (I think they did have loads of people inside to cater for first). Table service would have made it 5 stars - there were plenty of staff collecting empty glasses. However, it's a great spot and the staff are very good and welcoming. The toilet block in the middle of the garden is clean and well kept considering the huge number of people using it!

Waitress Aileen was excellent and very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Food was very good and filling , but nothing special. Very good pleasant eaterie

We were at a ‘Happy Ever After’ celebration evening, following our friend, Frank and Sandra, getting married. Fantastic service from start to finish, outstanding meal and brilliant small steak pies and rolls later in the evening. Will definitely go to No 10 again, really impressed.

Food and drink selection are fab and staff so helpful and friendly Would not hesitate to return looking forward to afternoon tea

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, visiting our daughter nearby, as she did not have space for us. This hotel was perfect for us. It was reasonably priced, clean, warm and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Weather wasn't great ;o) We will definitely be going back. We did not eat or drink in the hotel but the restaurant / bar looked excellent.

I stayed here for one night after Christmas. Got a complimentary upgrade to a Honeymoon Suite which was a huge Room.with giant Jacuzzi in the Bathroom - fabulous. Food in the restaurant was excellent. One negative - the Barman seemed to be rather moody and seemed, quite frankly, annoyed to be there. Very abrupt to the point of bangung about behind the Bar. I work in Hospitality and wouldn't get away with being like that. Apart from this, loveiy stay.

After a long day of driving, we were thrilled to see there is a bar/restaurant at Number 10 Hotel where we are staying. The place is relatively small, but the service and food are both excellent. Our server was fantastic. We started with the bruschetta which was very tasty. I had the chicken with chive potatoes and mixed vegetables. The chicken was moist and delicious. My husband got the Scottish sirloin which was cooked perfectly and he loved it! Food arrived promptly and was very hot. We ended the meal with sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte with raspberries for dessert. Both were delicious. Prices were reasonable and portions were good sized. Would definitely recommend.

Thanks to William and his team for providing a great purvey for the family yesterday.Food was great . Nothing was too much trouble and accommodated some late arrivals with seating etc. Excellent

Celebrated my 70th here in style.The atmosphere was great. Food beautifully cooked and displayed. The staff could not have done more for us. I would highly recommend No 10 to anyone who has a reason to celebrate. Aimee and her staff were so helpful and efficient. I will be back.

First time in over a year to be able to go into restaurant and enjoy excellent meal. Happy to go to restaurant inside No. 10 hotel, myself and my wife enjoyed prosciutto and smoked mozzarella ciabstta, fish and chips, and finished with sticky toffee pudding. All dishes cooked to perfection. Lovely restaurant and toilets absolutely spotless, Staff also extremely helpful, particularly barman Donald. Will be back soon, nice to feel like we were able to enjoy a little bit of normality.

First time here, we live local and got a great value itison voucher. Service was good and lots of covid procedures in places so it felt safe. Food was lovely. It's not fancy food! But it's cooked well and good flavour. We had soup and king prawns to start. And steak pie and chicken with peppercorn sauce for mains. Side veg was fresh and mash was 10/10. We had a wee peek at their beer garden when we were leaving - wow! It looks stunning and a brilliant spot to spend a sunny afternoon.

Enjoyed a lovely Saturday night with friends for drinks and food in the hotel’s beautiful gardens. Staff very friendly and nothing too much bother. Food was delicious and overall can’t recommend the place high enough. Hidden gem.

Estuvimos en su restaurante hoy domingo 26. . siete de nosotros y pasamos un día encantador, la comida se estaba acumulando y nuestro camarero Peter era un joven encantador, nada era una molestia. . el lugar estaba impecable y la comida era agradable y cálida. . la forma en que debería ser la comida y los cócteles eran fabulosos. . volveremos el fin de semana festivo. . Estábamos locos por sentirnos bienvenidos. .

Tenía un groupon y pude elegir un menú fijo. La comida era muy buena, tuve las gambas y pollo con morcilla, mi marido tenía la sopa y pastel de carne. A mi hijo de 11 años no le gustó nada en este menú y sintió que las porciones de los niños serían demasiado pequeñas. La camarera dijo que podía tener una porción más grande, lo cual hizo. Muy ocupado para un miércoles por la noche. La única queja que tengo es que nuestros hijos principales llegaron unos 5 minutos después de la nuestra. El personal realmente agradable volverá de nuevo.

Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked into the premises, just the right volume of easy listening music and perfect ambiance for dinner. Food was perfectly cooked, well presented and very tasty, wine list was also reasonably priced too. Toilets were spotless as was the rest of the venue. I can understand why the table is due back after 1 and a half hours, the venue was incredibly busy with couples and families, is advise anyone to book Well in advance. We will certainly be back to try other items on the menu.

Went on a Sunday night with my wife. The service and food was great. Wine list is well priced £16-25 per bottle and the food portions were ample for the market menu courses which we had. Would definitely recommend. Staff were particularly attentive.

Had a family meal for my daughters 30th birthday and no 10 definitely has the right name 10 out of 10 for the staff food and attention to detail from William the manager and Thomas who looked after us from start to finish. Thomas was so entertaining keeping my 4 yr old granddaughter happy and had the whole party in stitches the staff do an AMAZING job they are so attentive the food arrived piping hot and everyone loved it the variety of dishes and catering for 18 people compliments to the chef everyone had different starters mains and sweets and they raved about it from the starters soup mushroom starter was delicious to name but a few. Mains including the fish is huge and cooked perfectly the steak pie is the best I’ve tasted from the hand cut chips to the steak everything was served quickly and they made it look super easy. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and relaxing the staff work really hard and make this hotel and food the best they go above and beyond looking forward to the next family meal there rating this 5 stars it deserves much more was so easy well worth it will be returning soon thanks William and Thomas. X

One of the friendliest and most relaxing boutique hotels we have ever visited. We have stayed at No 10 many times and it never fails to deliver. The staff are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious and light and comfortably decorated. Cosy restaurant and bar area where you are guaranteed the best gin and tonic in Glasgow.

The food was scrumptious and different to any of the hotels I've stayed at, in Glasgow. Unfortunately it took rather along time to get it. Yes they were apologetic, but there were only two other coupes in the Restaurant/bar. Staff were friendly

I visited last Sunday with a Groupon deal with a friend & we weren't made to feel lesser customers . Ambience is cosy & friendly. They accomodated my dietry requirements without fuss . My friend had the steak pie , which he said was excellent & generous. The whole experience was topped by our lovely server , Margaret , who was knowledgeable & attentive. I would definitely go back & have recommended this place to my friends .

What an amazing afternoon spent here, from start to finish.We were there for s small hen gathering (10 people) from the Myers arrived to we left the staff couldn’t do enough for us , the food was delicious and plentiful definitely worth a visit so much so we’re all going back again. went for dinner with wife, using voucher, cost was good food could have been better and hotter, wife had mushroom pot with garlic bread she loved it, I had soup of the day was good but not piping hot would have made a difference, mains wife had Sunday roast lunch good portion and piping hot, meat little bit fatty but good portion again, I had steak pie vegetables and chips, was ok but again not very hot, chips not impressive, steak pie not the best, vegetables fine, good portion, staff good but seemed stretched, drinks just cans but well priced, would maybe go back but different menu and food choice,

Had dinner this evening at this lovely hotel. Food was fab and all the staff were so nice and friendly. My husband who is hard to please had the steak pie and really really enjoyed so we will most definitely be back. Return visit so on the cards

The accommodation was average for the price, but this was made up for by the quality of food and hospitality, particularly from Margaret behind the Bar....who was exceptional.

Visited tonight with my family starters were great had a few problems with mains but would not put us off The girl serving us was great and made us feel very welcome

I can't understand all the positive reviews. We used Open Table to vet the restaurant for our last evening in Glasgow. After reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. We were hoping for Scottish fare. Boy, were we sorry. The staff was friendly enough, but the place lacked ambiance. The wine list was lacking as well. That said, the food was below average. My daughter ordered the burger and it had a funny taste. It was dry and lack luster. The fish and chips were a sad representation of a traditional Scottish meal. We were looking forward to it given the reviews. The portion of fish was so small that my husband was famished afterwards. We didn't want to kick up a fuss, so we finished what we could and left promptly. We headed back to the hotel and the Hilton's restaurant and had a real meal.

We had not been to No 10 for a few years but went in recently because the weather was so nice and they have made a lot of improvements to their garden. It's really quite impressive now. They even have posh garden loos.

Food was great and the garden area is a gorgeous hideaway. Margaret is a wee saint. Incredible service.

Nice Hotel, room was clean and well maintained, food was very good with large portions. Margaret in the restaurant/bar went through a power of work serving drinks, making up cocktails as well as taking food orders and serving meals in the restaurant and had a really nice manner with guests

We visited here recently on an itison deal.

We found Number 10 through an Itison deal otherwise we probably wouldn’t have found ourselves on the South side of Glasgow. So glad we did. This is a beautifully maintained hotel and restaurant. Great decor on the inside in all rooms and superb outdoors area which is also dog friendly. The menu was superb and the red pesto tempura fried chicken with schiracha sauce was quite amazing. The staff, Margaret and Laura made us feel like family from the start and really couldn’t do enough for us. So glad we found No 10 and we have already booked an overnight stay in this first class venue. Highly recommended.

A varied menu that will suit all tastes. From salads through to steaks. You have to try the Haggis Bon Bons.

We had the 321deal excellent food wine and value. Margaret was brilliant her usual cheery self. She made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble a real asset to the hotel.

Solo me quedé una noche mientras vidiying familia, pero aprovechamos al máximo esta pequeña joya de hotel. Un buen precio para alojamiento en Glasgow. Habitaciones amplias y tranquilas, camas cómodas, baño grande con bañera y ducha y toallas suaves. Un problema que encontré fue que la luz de emergencia en la habitación, que estaba encendida toda la noche, era demasiado brillante. El pequeño bar y restaurante sirve excelente vino y comida a buenos precios. El personal era extremadamente amable y muy trabajador.

Simplemente pasé un buen rato disfrutando de un delicioso té de la tarde en el no 10. Había una muy buena selección de pasteles y sándwiches salados. El servicio de Margaret fue excepcional, ella no podría habernos hecho sentir más bienvenidos. Un lugar definido para una visita de regreso.

Passed No 10 on many occasions and a 5pm deal popped up recently for Afternoon Tea + Fizz, which we took up and had a excellent time Friday 08/03/2019.

We had a wonderful afternoon at No.10. Food and service was amazing. In particular Margaret gave us great service and is an exeptional asset to this lovely hotel. New gazebo looks lovely setting for a wedding.

Stayed in room 31, which was very large and spacious, although poorly lit,two bedside lamps and a ceiling light, was not enough for a room that size. Bathroom very well lit.

Conocí a un viejo amigo para el almuerzo. Teníamos una deliciosa sopa y sándwiches, terminamos quedándonos todo el día y también cenamos. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran tan bueno, la masa crujiente fresca encantadora cubrió el eglefino perfectamente cocinado, las patatas fritas eran también perfectas.

Although the restaurant was busy and there was a 21st birthday next door, we could not fault anything. The food was fabulous and the service, especially from William and Margaret, the new bar manager, was second to none. Thank you for a great night out!

Have eaten here a few times and everytime the service and food are brilliant. Would highly recommend the Haddock and Pea Risotto. All food is amazing though

Visited to this bar as we were attending the Cup Final next door and can honestly say was a real find on a busy day in Glasgow.

First class service right from setting foot in the place so that always makes you relax. I went with what the manager suggested for the starter and had the soup (i would have said more a broth) Ham hock and lentil - It had all sorts in it so it was very tasty and very filling too but i found i could not leave any it was so nice. I followed that with the steak pie and that too was lovely. However i have to admit it defeated me so i left half the crust. Will be going back for sure when next over this way.

Teníamos una habitación muy confortable de 3 noches en este hotel. Todo el mundo fue muy agradable, nada era un problema y la comida era excelente. Estuvimos en una habitación grande con un baño enorme. El centro de la ciudad está a unos 10 minutos en coche o taxi, el precio es muy razonable. También hay una estación de tren a unos 5 minutos a pie y los autobuses pase al final de la carretera, así que no hay problema para conseguir en cualquier parte. Hampden Park está a 10 minutos a pie y la nueva Victoria Hospital está cerca si tienes una cita. Sin duda nos alojaremos en el número 10 de nuevo cuando en Glasgow.

Hicimos una pequeña fiesta de comunión, de 22 familiares y amigos en la zona del bar y nos quedamos encantados con la comida y el servicio, especialmente sean que fue muy atento y amable, incluso los niños comentaron cómo él fue muy agradable para ellos. La calidad y el precio de la comida era fantástica y es una pena, hay algunas malas críticas que no entiendo, pero supongo que algunos nunca están contentas. Sin duda recomendaría el restaurante / función y no dudaría en volver.

Nos alojamos en el hotel y terminamos comiendo en el restaurante las dos noches ya que estábamos muy impresionados. El menú tenía una gran selección y bien de precio. Mi pareja y yo decidimos pedir platos diferentes, así que pudimos probar algunas de las diferentes opciones de menú y cada uno estaba delicioso. Teníamos los aperitivos y platos principales las dos noches así ocho platos en total y cada uno estaba bien presentada, sabroso y de buena porción. En particular, ambos nos comentó cómo frescos y la comida era. El servicio era fantástico, estuvimos en un poco de prisa la primera noche y el personal hizo por encima y más allá para asegurarse de que ambos campos con tiempo de sobra y que no tenía ningún efecto en la calidad, ya que la comida era estupenda. Ambiente agradable y distendido mientras sigue permitiendo a sentir romántico con velas y música suave de jazz precioso en el fondo. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y no podemos esperar para cenar aquí.

My husband and I celebrated our Pearl Wedding Anniversary and our joint 60th Birthdays and as usual William and his staff didn't let us down. We would like to thank William and Nicola the events manager for the care and planning they took setting up the hall , we were delighted with their efforts. We took advantage of The Celebration Party Package which proved to be outstanding value. We would also like to thank Sean and Connor for their fantastic cocktails. Thanks for a night to remember.

We booked on 5pm, arrived at the venue which was impressive, the service from start to finish was amazing, had a lovely table at the bay window. Value for money was fantastic the menu and food was great.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful the food was great and the rooms were excellent will definitely go back there.

Tuvimos una comida durante su estancia en el hotel y era bastante bueno. Los elementos fritos eran excelentes y el resto de la comida por encima de la media, aparte de los postres que eran estándar. Las bebidas eran de precio razonable sino era inexperto...

Zona de bar agradable y bonito desde el exterior. Principal restaurante bar exterior y los inodoros estaban muy limpias y nos sentimos bastante mercado. La comida estaba bien, pero caro para un hotel de este tipo. El desayuno era una considerable cantidad de £11. 95....

Simply - the food was OK. It was adequate. Menu is reasonably well priced and covers most aspects of the culinary world. Had the scallops with black pudding, both of which were overcooked but not terribly so. Couldn't order the steak burger medium rare due to health & safety! (Utter twaddle. Guess what business I'm in???) Can order a steak medium rare though which means the burger is just mince and not minced steak! Anyway - had the steak salad which was decent. Small basic wine list which was reasonable priced. Last orders are 8.45 and I had both dishes in 10 minutes so definitely not a destination for a nice evening out. So overwhelmingly average - there has to be better in Glasgow.

Food don't get much better than this!Exceptional quality sea food...the biggest king prawns ever.Excellent quality produce, expertly prepared and served with enthusiasm.Do yourself a favour and try their Thai Red curry with King Prawns FANTASTIC. Best since Thailand!Steak Pie absolutely packed with quality beef, no fat or cheap fillers just best beef.Top notch food. Really enjoyable meal. Thank you.

I stayed here for the second time this year and yet again, what an amazing experience. Friendly staff, amazing food and very clean modern rooms. I had the Haggis starter again and it was beautiful. Pan fried chicken for main which was equally as good. I also recommend the lamb (previous visit). The rooms are well decorated with a modern feel and very clean. The pillows sent me straight to sleep, especially after a few tasty draft lagers. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Will be back again soon.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday and from the minute we walked through the door we felt like royalty. The food was probably the best I've eaten out for years (tomato soup that I could live on ) the room well all I can say is we've stayed in many different big name hotels but this is so much nicer to the point I've booked my next stay here . Just like to take the chance to thank all the staff at no 10 as you deffo gave us a great night

We used this hotel for a family funeral on the 25th of January 17. There were approximately 50 of us for a meal and drinks also 3 of us stayed overnight.I must say that all the staff were friendly and went out of there way to ensure that everyone and everything was to the highest standards. The food was excellent and they catered for the special dietary requirements of my family without any problems. The 2 bedroom apartment we had was to the highest standard spotless warm welcoming and well decorated. In all I can tell fault No 10 in any way and would like to thank them for everything they done for me and my family.

I have lived reasonably near by for ages and have popped in for a drink n the beer garden before. I have never been in for food but popped in tonight and had a fantastic meal. We all agreed the food was excellent, even better when you consider it was a fixed price menu. Thanks f anthng could improve ( small point) the coffee was a bit watery. Can't wait to go back. Thanks

One of the best steak pies I have ever eaten! Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection! Friendly and helpful staff and overall, a lovely atmosphere.

Regular visitors for dinner, until a few months ago the quality was always excellent. Recently have experienced cheap frozen chicken nuggets, turkey that definitely was more Bernard Matthews than carved from a roasted bird and dishes that didn't meet the menu description. I think they must have changed chef and decided to make big savings from the kitchen. Real shame. Lovely environment and great staff.

I have stayed here numerous times over the last few weeks and the staff are fantastic (thank you).The food is amazing and if you stay here please try the tap beer (St Mungo) its a cracking beer.In a nut shell... Good menu with lots of choice. I had a risotto which was so tasty. Husband had a lamb shank which he enjoyed. Ice cream for dessert was superb. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff,

The bar and restaurant area looks good, modern and quite fashionably cool. The menu is quite adventurous, although the "fresh seasonal asparagus" was obviously off in November! The food looked good on the plate, but the sea bream sitting on spring onion crushed potatoes had too much oil amongst the potatoes.

Great place to stay only 10 mins by train from City centre.The hotel has plenty of parking and has a nice aspect overlooking Queen!s Park.

Excellent hospitality and nice food.Being picky, the portion sizes were a little disappointing even considering the reasonable prices. The presentation of the dishes was excellent and unfortunately the taste balance and seasoning didn't quite match.Nonetheless the hotel & restaurant experience were both good and will probably stay and dine there again next time a Glasgow stop is required.

We didn't bother to look anywhere else for our choice. We need more trips to have other meals from the menu. A good choice, and very well cooked and presented. Good surroundings and staff.

This used to be an old fashioned hotel and our last visit was for after a funeral!!Modernised to a high standard we sat in the bar adjoining the restaurant and ordered drinks whilst inspecting the menu. Starters of tempura chicken and vegetables to start were beautifully cooked and served but none too generous. Mains of fish and chips, on the other hand was a huge well cooked portion and chips were superb. Madam, had the steak pie however the mash was freezing and the pie cold however this was graciously replaced.The barman acted as server and cashier until much later, additional help arrived.Food quality was very good and is worthy of another visit.

Very god standard of ingredients and preparation and at very reasonable price. The eating space, however, is cramped, but the service is excellent so I would eat here again when using the hotel.

My wife and I live in the North of England and come back to Scotland every so often to catch upwith friends and family. This time searched for somewhere we could have a nice family meal and No10 appeared to tick all the boxes.However, upon arrival we were shown to our table (4 small ones pushed together) in the bar.We assumed this was just for us to sit and have pre- dinner drinks before going through to the restaurant for our meal but were told this was the restaurant. To say we were disappointed would be a slight understatement. When I booked this I assumed we would be dining in the restaurant not the hotel bar. We were still drinking our coffee when the bar staff proceeded to but the chairs at the other tables on top of them, don't think it was appropriate to do this whilst guest were still finishing their meal albeit their tea and coffees. This was a special evening for my family as this was the first time we had the opportunity to all be together since the sad death of my eldest brother last year and feel we were badly let down.

William, Nicola and the team at No 10 helped us arrange the most wonderful and memorable evening for our headteacher of 21 years. From helping us choose the menu, to the seating arrangements and the set up of the room, to the wine, the DJ and entertainment .....the evening could not have been more perfect for the guest of honour and the 65 guests in the function room. Our three course meal from the summer menu was absolutely delicious, the service was attentive and the evening went in so quickly, we were desperate for it to last forever!!!!Thank you so much No 10 for making Patricia's retrial so wonderful from start to finish.

Moderately sized venu,used by hotel residents & non residents.Prompt,friendly service.Wide choice of menu.Seating area highlighted by LED which appeared to have a fault,so was not fully lit-although a small matter it gave a slightly shabby appearance

We wanted everything on the menu. It was varied, interesting and mouthwatering! The staff were attentive and the cocktail waitress was so professional and could mix anything you fancied - on or off the cocktail list.

Surprisingly varied al la carte as well as bar menu! I had the 8 oz steak which was succulent and absolutely delicious. My son had an amazing trio of pork, and my sister settled for a traditional beer battered fish with handcut chips. The service was top notch and our server Kerry was most indulgent when I requested a starter that was not on the menu! Food very well cooked and presented. Compliments to the chef!!
