No. 1 Chinese Takeaway in South Ribble

This was our regular Chinese we always order at least once a week decided to order tonight while we watch the match after an hour had nt turned up so rang them to be told its on its way been 2 more hours now and nothing absolute disgrace for loyal customers and one upset son who was looking forward to his Chinese all day ...... not even a call if u r too busy for orders why accept them on ur website fuming is not the word .

Fab takeaway, good food, great price. Been going there for past 12 months, never been dissapointed.

This has been our go to take away for 4 or 5 years, probably spent a thousand pound there, the food has always been good but i won’t be ordering again. We ordered 2 months ago on their website, the order was accepted but never arrived. Rang the day after to ask for a refund and I was told I’ll get it within a week, I said that’s fine and actually ordered again. 2 months later I still haven’t had a refund and when I rang, they said they were open on that day and I must’ve got mistaken. Such a shame but absolutely appalling service, lost a loyal customer.

Absolutely awful food, the spring rolls were inedible, tasted like the smell of incense sticks, strange but true, it all went in the bin, what a waste of money. I would give it minus stars if I could.

By far one of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in a long time. If you live in Preston area I would recommend that you give them a try. Their food is very fresh and delicious.

This place is absolutely amazing. I've ordered from here many, many times for delivery to my home. The food is always piping hot, delicious and top quality. I used to order delivery from the Beijing in Leyland, but the food quality wasn't good and it was cold on delivery. Well done No.1 Chinese ☺️

This Chinese takeaway is now my No1 (pardon the punn)! Things that they have that I particularly enjoy are LARGE spring rolls and the crispy seaweed to add to the main course, of which there is a head-load to choose from.. Great food, fast delivery..

First time we have tried this takeaway on recommendation from a friend. We had chicken chowmien. Best we have tasted in a long time. Will definitely order it again.

Never eat a Chinese like it! Chips were burnt and tasted of cardboard. Cashew nuts tasted awful. Forgot my drink but I eat the prawns, they were edible

First time ordering from No.1 Chinese tonight, we’ve been trying to find a really good munchy box for a while now & tonight we found one, it was absolutely delicious & plenty of it. Delivery was slightly later than it was expected but that was well recovered with the food tasting really good. We ordered online & was really easy to do so. Can’t wait to order another one

Excellent, speedy service with high-quality food, by far one of the best Chinese in the area. Pictured is wonton soup and an All in One Box - sweet-and-sour chicken (chips) The service is always friendly - the food always hot and the prices are fair.

The nicest chicken curry mix this side of the water. Can be the odd late delivery, but here, she’s worth it 😋.

Absolutely gorgeous food. Portions are very big.

Shocking customer service. Ordered on just eat on two occasions and both times the food took over 3 hours. No one wants to eat past 22:00 hrs especially when you have to be up at 5. When we called to ask how long the food would be they put the phone down on both occasions and refused to explain the delay.

Usually good but tonight it was watery , tasteless and Luke warm . Not sure I will be going back.

Cold food which is a shame as we usually like the munchie boxes. Rang up to complain to be told it left 25mins ago theres no way it can be cold. We live 5mins away from the shop. Will not be ordering from here again

After 5 years of living Leyland, we have tried most of options in the area. No1 is now our go to and the Udon noodles are epic!

Tried this place for the first time last week, and I have to say the service was very good, the delivery was prompt and the food was piping hot and delicious. Would recommend and will order again.

I've ordered from here countless times and each time absolutely perfect. I'd argue no.1 is the best chinese in 20 miles. lovely staff and delightful food. It deserves the name 'No.1'.

Arrived early, piping hot. Curry delicious and the best chicken balls ever. Well done, highly recommended 👍 😀

Not impressed had a munch box and special fried rice curry sauce £20 thought was expensive especially when the munch box was loads of chips . 2 chicken balls, onions,2 bones which I think they where meant to be spare ribs.

My food was delivered to some one else house which meant my children was now.going Hungary for another hour while they make it all again yet I got no discount for the problem or nothing... unrated food and will never be ordering again and advisable u check.other Chinese before this one

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Partner asked after having to repeat the order multiple times over the phone for no egg in the fried rice. After collecting the food due to delivery times being ridiculous we got home and there was egg in the rice. It was a simple request, my partner rang and was argued with by an exceptionally rude woman on the phone who denied any acknowledgment of the request rather than just offering a new replacement item or even just an apology. The food was poor, rice was stodgy, the sauce was tasteless and chips tasted like they’d be in a frier for a week, don’t order from here.

We usually collect and the food is lovely but decided to have delivery tonight. Told 70 mins, when it eventually arrived(after 2 phone calls) we had waited over 2 hours. The lady on the phone was lovely but said her boss would only offer free prawn crackers, what an insult when they are usually free with the meal anyway!😡

The food is amazing and the delivery driver was on time and she was very polite, well worth the money and a generous tip for the driver (which was well deserved!

Called in, because I was placing a very customised order, such as noodle hotbox - no veg, no beansprouts, no spice for the kids! Spent nearly £30, every singe item was perfect and exactly as ordered, good portions, great food and excellent value, in and out in 15mins and loads left for tomorrow! Will be back.

Been here twice first time was okay second time was Terrible chips not fresh curry was odd taste. And second time decided to say its was 3 pound extra than last time! Wouldn't go here again...

such awful quality. i ordered at 5pm and it arrived at 8pm even though i rang at 6pm & 7pm for them to inform me it was on its way. When it arrived it was nothing special nothing but batter batter batter and not enough food for the money i spent. I won’t be returning

Would be 5 if it didnt take 2 hours for the food to arrive, they wouldnt answer the phone and had to go down myself. My advice ....go and pick up and it will be worth it

Best black pepper beef dish I’ve had in years. Everything we have had from here on the past 4/5 occasions has been superb. Delivery is slow! But it’s a popular place and to be honest I still think it’s worth the wait...... I haven’t found a better Chinese yet which delivers to Buckshaw Village. Keep it going!

If you enjoy waiting an hour more than your promised for your food get @ them

Ordered the 9" share box, the box came with no crispy beef so my partner phoned up to let them know to have the phone put down on him, phoned again to have the phone put down again. So he walked down to the chinese to be told to get out. The customer service is shocking!!
