I am not a happy customer I use this takeaway and to he told that I have to wait a minute on the phone for them to do whatever else then to say I can't order food and I would have to wait

Still the tastiest Chinese around in 2024.

Always order from here and it's always good there just one thing recently that hasn't been good and that is the beef in the chow mein has been really cheewy the last few times I've ordered it its normally tender, its kind of put me off ordering it again I hope they can fix this to how it used to be.

I've tried to look at a way of messaging this takeaway directly but can't. It's been my go to takeaway for a while now but after tonight's meal I have to say go easy on the msg, my mouth is burning, way way too much guys

We ordered a takeout for 2 people. The delivery was fine on time and although it generally wasn’t the best for £40 I probably wouldn’t complain except for the fact that the only thing I really wanted was sweet and sour chicken balls and the sweet and sour sauce was like coloured water…dreadful so we phoned back not to ask for money back or any recompense just to advise and we were not listened to in fact disrespected. So we tried this as it was a delivery service but never again. If you can’t listen then you can’t improve.

Staff there are so kind and understanding, you can taste the love in each bite ❤️ i have been having it ever since i was little. my go to is salt and pepper chicken pizza, sweet and sour spicy shredded chicken with egg fried rice. I have to say this has to be the worst chinese ever our original one was shut so tried this one the rice was burnt the chips were burnt and so were the prawns it all went in the bin ...

First time ordering and definitely won’t be the last! Food arrived quickly and both meals were full of flavour. Best Chinese takeaway we’ve eaten in a long time. Will definitely sample more dishes.

Ordered my meal with chips and got 11 chips. Absolutely ridiculous. Got about 2/3 spoonfuls of curry and the rest was rice, even that was a small portion.

Once again the food is massively late. It says 60 minutes when you order but we are at 90 minutes and still no food. You ring up and they couldn't care less. This will be the last time we use Golden Hill

Food awful freezing cold rang up to complain had the cheek to say pay 10 pound to the driver to give us our refund . PLEASE AVOID. food went in bin awful customer service rude and abusive on phone

I had to throw away much of what we bought. The wonton soup tasted like the aluminium scrubber they used for cleaning the wok. We saw the scrubber was soaked in the dirty sink before use on the wok. The house fried rice was tasteless and hardly had any aroma. The spare ribs bbq was tasteless and the crispy duck was over-fried too dry. The portion was tiny. I do not mind if in exchange of quality but the quality thumbs down. We were disappointed and will never come back to this place. I would give minus star if there is any option on the review. Spent almost £30 for a meal for our family of 3 but most food ended up in the bin. Really disappointed.

The place I visited yesterday was the small wood yard next door to Leyland and South Ribble glass it is only a small business but we got exactly what we wanted which was decking and the price was very reasonable good quality and the service was dynamite the fellow was really lovely no complaints whatsoever

Pre ordered a munchy box from here last night and it arrived a little later than arranged which was fine given the current circumstances. Food was hot and plentiful but there was that much salt in there I could hear my arteries screaming in protest! Avoid munchy box 15 and stick to the regular menu. I will order from them again but I’ll choose something else in future .

It's ok but portion sizes arnt great unlike other takeaways. We ordered children curry and chips and sweet and sour chicken with rice. Both meals came in one silver countainer. usually the curry comes separate from the chips. So you get less chicken curry and less chips when you go to golden hill. We also got a portion of children wings. They were tastless. Won't be going again.

The Worst Customer Service Ever - We have been using this takeaway for many years now and the food and delivery service is normally okay. We have had a bad experience before, but let it go and went back, but last night was just the worst customer service experience ever. We placed an order at 8.30pm and were warned it could take up to a max of an hour to be delivered. After an hour and a half of waiting, so now 10pm at night, I rang them to see what on earth was happening. When I rang them it was quite clear that the food had not even been prepared, their grasp of English was extremely poor, so I could not even understand what they were trying to say to me. All I got barked at me was it would be approx. 10 - 15 minutes, which I did not believe and did not want to be eating at probably well after 10.30pm. There was no attempt at an apology for how long the wait had been, no offer of recompense for the inconvenience, so I cancelled the order and will never use this poor excuse for a Chinese Takeaway again! They even have the cheek to charge you £1 for delivery, when they clearly are unable to cope to deliver the food or any sort of reasonable customer service!

This takeaway never fails to deliver, food is excellent and portion sizes are good also, keep up the good work and quality

First time ordering from Golden hill chinese as I thought I would try somewhere new, the food is reasonably price but along with that you get what you pay for. Salt and pepper chicken was bland with no particular flavour besides salt and the barbecue spare ribs were just dry crumbled in your mouth not so pleasant even more so when all they tasted of is salt again. The barbecue sauce was more like a salty red oil and again not so pleasant as it becomes quite insulting to the taste buds. I personally will not be returning as a customer and shall return to my original favourite Happy house on school lane.

Placed a telephone order for the first time trying this place ordered szechuan chicken and chicken with hot and chilli bean sauce order was ready on time very good food and 1 of the best Chinese we've had for ages, deffinitly ordering again

Ordered over the phone for the first time tonight. We collected our food, we shared chicken Szechuan & the chicken in hot & chilli bean sauce. The food was amazing, this is now my new favourite Chinese takeaway. Would definitely recommend & would use again.

Usually a great Chinese but past couple of times it's been pants ☹ had sweet and sour chicken balls and chips and there was no flavour at all the chicken was rubbery and the batter was really overcooked the chips were more like warm ups they were vile partner had chips fried rice and curry and he also said it was rubbish and bland don't know if its changed hands or something but we won't be going again we even went down to the shop to order for a change total waste of money it's all in the bin I DO NOT RECCOMEND
