Lunch no sushi, no char siew bbq. But good dishes and not busy in late lunch. Close at 3pm.

Food was horrible, chewy dry. Over cooked prawns everything I tried couldn't eat, I spoke to a member of staff that was very unhelpful. Made me feel like it was my fault. Will never go back. Bad customer service bad food avoid

My husband has always been a big fan of Nines due to the variety of cuisines and vast amounts of food available to try! The food available when we went recently was all hot and replenished frequently. We went for the dinner time slot on a Saturday and we booked in advance. It was busy but not overly busy, with still lots of seating available. Food was all pretty standard for a buffet restaurant with allergy listings available for each dish. The utensils used for each dish were mixed up frequently so maybe someone monitoring them would be useful to maintain minimal cross contamination. We did take advantage of their Blue Light discount, which was only applied to the cardholders meal. Lots of signage was placed around the restaurant to explain a new £5 charge to each plate of food that isn’t eaten - this is something new that wasn’t there before.

Excellent Global food and a very large selection. Will go again.

Sunday visit at 4.30 for a fresh evening service. Greeted, paid and seated within minutes. Friendly staff and attentive staff who clear plates very quickly (Thou honestly happy to use same plate more than once). Easy to purchase drinks. Pleasant display and variety of dishes. However all food was served luke warm, this was caused by the container lids all open on arrival and left open as standard with no closing capacity creating only just warm food when seated, I was the first customer at most stations on a brand new service so the food should be hot to medium temp by then. The Chicken Tikka needs a complete rework with an almost water based sauce. The Chinese Soup was super sweet and gelatinous and needs a rethink. The Thai station had 2 veggie options only with no known dishes available. Other food stations were well stocked, adequate and overall tasty! I would visit again, to enjoy the Teppanyaki station with very nicely cooked beef.

Really don’t bother. Went at lunchtime on a sat, most of the food stations were closed. The ones open had Luke warm, extreme low quality food. Also if you have a child over 4’8 they pay adult price. Currently being ill due to this place

We really enjoyed it. Over 200 dishes to choose from. Lots of cooking stations and great range of seafood. Very good service. Food was good quality and hot and fresh. Tables cleared quickly. Chocolate fountain to finish.

The perfect example of quantity over quality. The food is old, bland and flavourless, simply kept warm with the heated tins. The staff, whilst attentive to clear your empty plates, are constantly walking and starting to the point where you feel watched and uncomfortable. Won’t be returning.

This place is a really solid buffet spot. A lot of Chinese buffets tend to skimp on food quality, but this one actually delivers. I have been to some pricey buffets, and honestly, this one holds up well. The food tastes fresh(you can tell time has gone into ensuring it taste good) which is a nice change. Fellow Carnivores, this place is definitely for you, the meat selection is good! The atmosphere is also way more relaxed, no staff hovering or making you feel like you’re being watched, which can sometimes be the case in other places. You can just enjoy your meal without feeling rushed/watched. I have tried both lunch and dinner, and while both are great, I do not think dinner is truly worth the extra cost (£26pp vs. £16pp for lunch). If you want the best value, definitely go for lunch! It is not perfect, though, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. At the end of the day, a buffet place is still a buffet place. You can not or should not expect gourmet food when they are offering so much variety at this price. The flaws are there, but compared to others, it is a step up. That said, the dessert options could be alot better, more effort and they take a bit too long to refill empty dishes.

Sadly the food was mostly cold and looked like it was from the local supermarket not a quality buffet. Definitely not worth the £24.99 each that we paid.

We have come here a lot. Last year it was our go to when we fancied eating out. But we have realised it’s very hit and miss. Sometimes the food is fresh and hot. Sometimes the food is stale, dry and lukewarm at best. Plates are often dirty and you have to search for a clean plate. Desserts are usually ok but the area is often not the cleanest with a lot of food spills on the counters and a lot of empty plates where they’ve not been replenished. Staff have never been approachable and not friendly. This is something we have encountered at every visit. All have a very stern look and never smile even if you smile at them. They often stand over you watching while you’re eating. I always take my toddler who always eats at home as he has a restricted diet and I feel they are watching to make sure we are not giving him food off our plates (which we have never done as he wouldn’t eat it anyway!) but it just makes us feel uncomfortable and like we are doing something wrong when we’re not!

Evening ruined, food wasn't great and to top it off one of waitresses coughed flem all over our table and food and then proceeded to laugh about it! Manager didn't seem to care, wont be coming back absolutely disgusting!

The plates were stone cold so by the time you had put a couple of items on it and sat down food was warm at best. steak was bland and colourless, most of the dishes i tried were tasteless. Booking a table was a waist of time still had to queue for 10 min to get in. Drinks took 20 min to arrive. Will not go again

50 Pound for 2 person and the foods was old..... Before the place was nice i was here more then 20 times,every year get more worst and more expensive.... Never back again .

I had dinner at this buffet today, and I’m quite satisfied! There are so many options to choose from—seafood, roasted duck, teppanyaki, BBQ, sushi, and a variety of desserts. The selection is impressive, and everything was fresh and delicious. Considering the price, it’s definitely worth it. At a regular restaurant, you’d probably only get one main dish for the same cost, but here, you can try so many different things. I’ll definitely come back!

It’s a fusion all you can eat buffet and that’s what people should expect. It’s not a fancy restaurant, it’s a buffet. The food can be a bit dry at times, as it’s cooked in large quantities and then left on the hot plate. And if there happens to be a bunch of people that just don’t want to try your favourite dish then that food just dries out a little bit, as simple as that. For me it was convenient as I do suffer with IBS but this way I could just pick everything on my plate without being “that customer” that tells the waiter what my meal should not include. Also my kids could pick whatever they wanted to eat without fuss and all of it combined made it into an actually pleasant experience and enjoyable meal out with family, which can be rather challenging at times.

Food was great, large selection, staff who go round picking up the plates and cleaning the tables need to give customers the right of way, they wouldn’t move for anyone, plates and bowls were dirty, needs to be better care taken on cleaning the dishes, they were shocking

Food wasn't the best here. Lots of suggestion but most of it is dry as left open to the elements. The wait staff are on point but the receptionist was a bit hard work. It's not cheap for mediocre food. The tepenyaki bit is normally our favourite at these places but they squash everything down to cook it faster it took all the flavour out of it.

Several of us had food at their restaurant last Saturday . Substandard food caused stomach upset to many of our members and severe diarrhoea for one!

We go to this buffet a couple of times per year for birthdays and it’s decent. The food is fine, always nice to go to a buffet and have variety, but wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for quality food and taste. It’s not amazing but it’s fine for a not overly expensive buffet visit and of course to eat what you want! Staff are always friendly and helpful.

How can food that looks very appetising taste bland as ****? £26 each? Not worth the money, sorry - Eton Mess and icecream was very nice though

Food was ok. Need to be left alone to eat as customer service was leaning over us every 10mins taking plates with no face masks. I would like to sit and eat with out anyone hovering over me or stand there glaring it's abit disconcerting tbh

We've eaten there several times and each time we come back very happy. The buffet is just magnificent, there is a huge choice of cuisine. The desserts are just great, but be careful the chocolate fountain doesn't work at lunchtime and other things. It is better to go in the evening, even if lunch is therefore cheaper. I just regret that they have to leave at 9:30. For us who usually eat late, this pushes us to go early to make the most of it. The place is really clean and that's nice.

Went for the first last night, food was average most of it left under a heat lamp for the majority of the night, the chef who was cooking steaks was using the same spatulas that he was also cooking squid with at the same time a bit concerning, should be bringing fresh food out regularly not left to dry out and get rubbery under a heat lamp

Always on this place. But on this occation it was a bad experience .. celebrating my birthday into this place then the person at grill where you can ask the person to grill some of the choices was very rude no customer service manner.. this was on January 7 2025 17:00.. person serving behind it was very unfriendly and unwelcoming..dont know if the guy was just tired or had enough but there is no reason for him to be rude for paying customer.. did not get the name of the person as there is no name badge.. but this kind of behavior even there was no customers and we was the first people in acting like this what people lose interest on coming back.. hope the management will teach this guy some good customer service..

Lovely food, and beautiful atmosphere.

It's okay, some of the food was a little cold but a lot of it was nice. The lady at the front desk is always rude whenever we visit and for this reason after it happening a couple of times now we won't return. It's very expensive now too.

I request Manager must train the staff to greet the customer first instead of letting the closing times and procedures or at least recruit someone who have some basic knowledge on hospitality. Food was at its worst, dry and soggy stuff.. Asked for replacement as the rice was dry, flaky unable to eat, chefs are not interested to change it or remake new-one after 8pm!! Why??? A guy was using green pan to wipe off the curry on the tip of the pans at 9pm at Chinese cuisine and using some uncleaned cloth to clean the pans when the food is still available.(refer to CCTV B/w 8:45-9:15pm) Instead of letting the customers know 30 mins left 20 mins left 10 mins to left to close the restaurant, train them professionally. Not suggesting to my friends and family.

Worst ever service!! We walked it at 8pm. As soon as we walked in the first thing came out from the reception guy was “ just letting you know that we are closing at 9.30pm” no greetings or what soever. Staff were keep coming to our table and mentioning that “you have 15 mins, 10 mins more” etc… they even start switching off the lights at 9.30 where the closing time of website states that it’s 10pm. Never ever will visit again !! Shocking

The food was cold, the management said we cook and u sit with the food 15 minutes, the customer is wrong, people sitting next to is also complained of the food being cold, when I asked the manage to test the food temperature she said I didn't know what I was talking about and we should leave. 5p short of £50 and not 1 plate of food.... Terrible time with rude management.

Most of the food stations were empty. So unless you just want Chinese or pizza, no choice. Paella bar closed. Roast bar closed. Pizza bar had about 5 pieces of dry, curled up pizza. Choice of Indian was tikka, and that was about it. Atmosphere like a school canteen. Sure it's all you can eat for £16, and many people piled their plates high. But I was very disappointed as we'd come here at my son's request for his 14th birthday.

The whole place has become extremely rundown. from decals peeling off windows to wor out seats and food that looks dry and recycled. Paella is an insult to the spanish, sushi is low grade ,waiters look untidy and uniforms could do with a wash .Many poorly hand written signs for food . This place needs to close for a month or two for a major revamp. Dirty cooking station and food there not offered with any cooking sauce eg chilli/ garlic Owner should Visit cosmo in Bournemouth for inspiration

I gave 5 stars because everything was worth the price we paid. Great abundance and unexpected variety of food. It is an all you can eat buffet. When I went the dishes were fresh,and tasty. In here you will find food from different regions of the world. Nothing will be shining in your plate, but the classics from Asia, India and Europe are there. But I need to flag the fact that many friends and colleagues told me that the quality of the food is randomic. Sometimes it is good, some other times really bad.

We have booked this venue for my nephew’s and mine birthday celebrations. I remember visiting this chain at different location and being very positively surprised with the whole concept that I have actually presented at my University well before this place existed. So very well done to the owners for spotting business opportunity. My tutor thought: “no one would want to go to a multi culture menu restaurant.” Little did he knew! So this visit was a bit less pleasant. Very long queue for the over the counter/deli dishes that took ages to cook. I always go for those as they are super fresh. Some food was overcooked or maybe less popular and stand in the heat for too long (especially shrimps were so overcooked that there were uneatable). The best fresh pizza! Freshly cooked shrimps and beef! (To my liking raw and slightly medium raw shrimps) In overall I felt rushed with the allocation of 1.5hr springing time to wait to order drinks and then wait ti order my food. By the time it was a desert time our time was up. So my suggestion is: get one person waiting for the drinks and grab whatever is prepared. We have far away table as we were party of 8. Which I do not mind as the rest of the restaurant was far too crowded and noisy! Overall nice experience. I will be back more prepared what to eat and what not next time.

Very nice customer service and food

Absolutely appalling, everything and I mean everything that I chose was cold except for the freshly cooked steak and dumplings. Won't be rushing back sadly, its a lot of money for cold food oh and my daughter found a black fly sat on one of her dumplings 🤮

Food was luke warm, walked in and the receptionist couldnt even sketched a smile, she looks pissed and tierd. The rest of the staff seems nice. Food was.. average, dry chewy ( I mean not expecting any quality with a buffet in UK). Good selection of food though.

Went here for a delightful meal on a weekday. Staff were amicable; and service was good. The food was disappointingly lukewarm at best and not particularly appealing; me and my fellow companion therefore found it challenging to stomach. Wouldn’t come back.

I am not one of those people that crap reviews for the sake of it or out of spite etc.. I genuinely thought this place was awful when it comes to the quality of food. I heard a lot about it and has high expectations, specially the fact that they have a sushi section. The food felt like it's been microwaved or old. For example the sushi rice tasted old kind of like the ones you get from Tesco at the end of the night when they're discounted because no one wants it. The options also sucked it was all very cheap sushi. The dumplings tasted awful too, which I was looking forward to. Ironically the only thing I enjoyed was the vegetables. I think for the money we paid that day as a group we could have had a decent 2-3 course meal each somewhere else. I've been to a few buffets and all inclusive trips that serve buffets and can honestly say it's one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at one. Atmosphere was rubbish too and the workers seemed like they hated working there, which I can understand I guess. I honestly feel bad leaving such a bad review but have to be honest.

Good value for money, kids (and picky eaters) can try loads of options and enjoy different cuisines.

14 of us went at 17.30 on a Saturday. All buffet stations open. All piping hot and quality. Ok some are not as spicy as we may like but it’s cooked for the average person. Tip get the roast duck to go with your pancakes. Drinks were well priced for Cambridge. It was easier to go to the bar than have table service.

The food at the buffet is appalling, really low quality fried crap, the live cooking counter is the only place with no processed cheap junk, although the staff at the counter seemed to be baffled at the idea of all you can eat, making comments on how much our table was ordering. I do admit I am a bit of a glutton, having had most of the fresh food to myself but after over hearing the comments, I took it upon myself and accepted the challenge to see how much I could really eat. I got the impression the guy didn’t really like me at the counter but I powered through. The bathrooms smelled like **** so I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one who accepted the same challenge but unlike the weak people who needed to use the bathroom after the challenge, I was efficient and powered through. 2 hours and 20k calories later, I left with a smile on my face to the dirty looks of the woman who once warmly welcomed us and was on my way. I do understand the economics of running a buffet but did expect a better experience. If you love the smell of **** and **** fried food, this is the place for you.

A place worth recommending, everyone will find something for themselves and will be satisfied. Nice service, although the receptionist is a bit confused and doesn't listen to the customer. But this is just an exception among all the advantages.

Disgusting food!!! Many times me and my family been there but now food is so disgusting, cold, dry, reheated, sushi room temperature, greasy, one cake was of. Managers or supervisors looks like don't want to be there!!!!!! Never again there!!!!!!! Disgusting, wasted my money!!!!!!!!!

5 star place to eat. Can't give service full marks as it's self service but always love Nines. Great food and plenty to choose from.

I'm quite satisfied, about the food was fresh and warm, my beef steak was delicious and cooked very well. Just about of selection pudding was poor, but I hope the next time I can found all the best selection even during dinner.

I found this very disappointing today. The choice of buffet was limited. Not all the stations were open and the food on offer (lots of fried food, Thai, Chinese, indian and pizza) was pretty unappealing. It's only good value in my opinion if you feel like you are getting something decent for the amount you pay but I didn't enjoy the food, none of it was very nice so I wish I'd spent my £60 elsewhere. The quantity aspect shouldn't make up for the quality. Also, the toilets smelt really strongly of urine and handles were broken off etc. I won't be going back I'm afraid.

There are a lot of non-British meals. It is the best homesick restaurant for residents or long-term travel, and it is great value for money! Definitely recommended! In addition, don’t set a hometown flavor that completely matches your own, because everyone’s hometown flavor will definitely be different to some extent ~ But...it relieves nostalgia!

Very busy lunch time Sunday. Missed the larger choice of the evening and no Sunday roast. Strangely had Yorkshire pudding. Food we did have was nice though albeit mainly Asian, but no Sushi. The chocolate fountain and ice cream wasn't on either so puddings quite poor.

2nd time here and totally disappointed. Food was cold. Before coming here it said not all food stations may be open. Well ony the pizza station was open. To a great degree I felt totally conned. Spoke to the Lady at reception about it. She really did seem at all concerned about any comments I made reference the quality or food at all. Definitely would not recommend or visit again.

The buffet is supposed to close at 10, yet this evening closed at 9:30. We arrived at 8, nothing had been restocked and we were told that was it for the evening. Shouted at by a waitress for trying to get a glass of water using glasses they had on the counter and not offered other drinks. Half a selection of cold food, greasy over fried pieces of chicken, and no desserts to be seen. Absolutely terrible and not worth the insane £24 price tag.

Shredded pork was very dry like eating sawdust ,pancakes thin and split easy, Everything else was good ,price good too clean plates taken away as soon as we were finished..

Food was delicious. Not that hot but it was very tasty. Desserts were delicious and well presented. Never been here before but my friend has been a couple of times. I loved that there was so much to choose from. Definitely recommend going. I would definitely go again.

Having eaten in here before an appointment at the local hospital. Food was cold and not very appealing. Myself and partner ate a few dishes. When we got back into the car and started driving to the hospital I become very sick and had severe stomach ache. My partner then became sick. When we got to the hospital for my appointment. The doctor stated that I was very pale. I explained I had been sick. He took blood tests then advised. I had infact got food poisoning. Which would have been attributed to the food we had just eaten. I have emailed the restaurant to advise if this. And guess what no response. We’ll most certainly never be going here again.

Visited on Saturday as daughter wanted to come here. We didn't have a booking and due to them closing we only had around 45 minutes. Plenty of choices but they started to remove the food from the heaters around 25 minutes before closing

I think that this place is a good buffet to indulge in once in a while. The food is good, but of course the main appeal is the wide range and also the accommodation of so much - it just makes it great.

We checked in at nines Cambridge ( for dinner )and we had 7 people with us, including children. As some people might know eating with children can be a hard process especially with 1 toddler to care for as well. As we finished our food and proceeded onto dessert, the assistant manager approaches us and demands that we leave the table as she needed it for other guest. Taking into consideration that the restaurant was going to close in approximately half an hour we was totally stunned. With out a warning she started clearing the table and taking our plates of us including our drinks. This unfortunately lead us to not finish our deserts. This absolutely shocked us . We trying to explain that and Assistant manager wont do any apologies. She said there is a limited time for the table ( 1 hr and 45 min ) but it’s clearly saying only for busy hours.( she cleaned our table around 8.30 pm ) But she didn’t understand. This day was meant to be a nice surprise for me as it was farther a day but turned out quite the opposite. I would like to say thanks for the manager as he did understand and he apologies about that . Please don’t treat to the people like that as they come to have a nice time , specially spent lots money( per person 25 pound + extra money for drinks ) .Definitely we wont go anymore and not recommend go to this place . There is many deference food trays you can see ( very nice display ) .But the food you can’t feel different taste. All the food taste bit same .8.30 pm they start the cleaning process ( while people eating) and you can have only few deserts at this time . Finally Our feel like we spent 154 pound for nothing . It’s much much Better to order the Chinese takeaway instead of eating this food .

Around 18:00 on 16/06/24- women was rude, told us it was a 20 minute wait, completely forgot she served us. Was even ruder when we reminded her we were waiting while she was letting everyone in who arrived after us, because she forgot about service us she told us another 20 minutes. Was giving us looks for most of our meal once she realised her mistake and when we corrected her on her tone and how she was speaking to us she soon put her head down. Don't put miserable people on front of house, especially if they can't manage or handle it.

Great all you can eat costs £80 for 2adults 2 kids weekday evening. Bit expensive but lovely food. The staff hover you to take plates and it’s annoying other than that it was good.

DO NOT EAT HERE. We travelled all the way from bedford for my birthday. My whole family got serious food poising. Absolutely disgusting and over priced, for some reason drinks aren't included? Need I say anymore.........

Food is good but when paying to get in is atrocious came with two children of the age of 1 and being told they cant have anything to eat unless payed for which is an additional £10 on top of what your paying never coming here again and wont be bring my child again

No standard at all, not even 1 star. Food is fit for only the bin. Don’t waste your time and money here.
