The best Chinese in cam! Always go there meet friends and have hotpot. The prawns are so tasty, highly recommend! The view is so nice if you dine upstairs, you can overlook the St. John’s college! I will come back again soon! And they can do karaoke!

Great place, great food, great service

A restaurant serving all types of Chinese food its basic noodle and rice dishes. The place was completely packed when we were there and a queue of people waiting for tables. The staff were run off their feet and doing their best. Food was OK and filling. The ambiance of the place is a bit dirty and in need off maintenance.

Hong Kong Fusion, located near the Cambridge University area, is a vibrant restaurant that offers a blend of traditional Chinese cuisine with modern twists. We were a group of four who tried their fusion menu for dinner. The menu was extensive, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes, including classic dim sum, crab fry, flavorful stir-fries, noodles, and innovative fusion creations. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not high; most of the dishes were overly salty and lacked balance. We were quite disappointed with our meals. The ambiance is stylish and contemporary, providing a pleasant setting for both casual meals and formal gatherings. One of the lady staff members who took our order was kind and helpful, but the rest of the staff were not particularly respectful to guests. Additionally, the high service charge was unacceptable. Overall, while the atmosphere and some of the staff were commendable, the food quality and service issues left much to be desired.

The lady who took our order was really patient and cooperative. The fried squid and chicken dumplings were amazing. But I had the worst noodle ever. Both the noodles were extremely salty. The vermicelli noodle was full of turmeric. The crab was on average to me. And the service and their behaviour were another worst experience ever!!! Overall, the decorations and ambience were nice. But food tastes and employee behaviour were not justified at all.

Improved Quality You can only get the best fish and chips in the UK. You can only get the best sushi in Japan. It's common sense. While it is a Hong Kong style restaurant that locates at the UK. So my expectations is quite low, no intention to compare it with the restaurants in Hong Kong. I am not a regular customer of this restaurant at all. Always forgot this restaurant since its branch, the 'all you can eat' dim sum restaurant closed down. But I think it tasted better than my last visit. Last visit was before the pandemic. Quick delivery. It's very possible that it hired a new chef. New management? The potion is generous with reasonable price. We ordered 3 items, but the total price was only enough to order 2 pasta dishes in some Italian restaurants. I think I will come back for it again. Hopefully its branch, the 'all you can eat' dim sum restaurant will return to Cambridge one day.

Very disappointing meal! All the dishes were just like supermarket ready-meal quality. DONT GO! The tomato pork steak with rice was way too sour and the whole bowl covered with food coloring in orange! It did absolutely NOT represent Hong Kong cuisine at all. I wonder if the chef really knows how to cook. Char Siu - It wasn't roasted but just fried in a lazy way. Disrespectful to such a famous and delicious dish! System glitch- I meant to give 1 star but it shows 2.

We ordered 4 Meals and one drink. The cost is £54.35. The foods is less value as its price and too salt. We asked the waiter for the water. Who gives 4 small glasses of water (tasts likes tap water) and haven't tell me it costed. When I checked out they changed me 13% service fee because the tap water. The water is the most expensive with £6.80 that I don't want to spend. I wouldn't recommend it.

The red bean ice is delicious, and the fried noodles are not too oily, just like the Hong Kong flavor.

The worst, rubbish restaurant with the worst service I've ever had. I laughed so hard. The waiter acted like he was superior, right? He dared to ask for a service fee with such a rubbish attitude. Life is very unsatisfactory. I can only find a sense of superiority from customers.

Today I ordered two Thai beers, a bowl of shredded pork and pickled vegetables soup, and a plate of fried noodles with soy sauce. They are all more expensive than Hong Kong. I will come back next time, but I will order fried rice. Before the white wine.

I didn’t think about taking pictures until after I finished eating. It was raining, so I came in to have a hot soup! I only ordered one bowl and will go back to the dormitory later for a late night snack.

If I could give this place a 0 star, it would pretty accurately reflect my experience. We went in to have some tea, placed our order, our order was taken and then a staff member came up to our table saying that we should leave and we won't be served. The restaurant was half empty at this point. I've never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant, and this level of rudeness is just unacceptable.

Been there a couple of times, but this was the worst yet. Found a hair in the food, and staff offered a discount, turns out all they did was to waive the service charge. As if anybody who finds a hair in their food would pay for the service charge in the first place. Absolutely disgusting. Staff was always nasty, no manners and no courtesy, treats you as if you owe them. Only returned to give them a second chance, but absolutely disappointing. Food is half good, but extremely overpriced, do not waste your time or your money on this horrible restaurant. The other reviews speak for themselves. At time of writing the restaurant is 3.8 stars, and I bet as you read this now its lower.

We we’re visiting our family in Cambridge and decided to try Chinese cuisine there.Unfortunately,that was a very bad experience.We ordered beef lo mein ,chicken lo mein and mixed veggies rice .There was barely any veggies in it ,noodles were too burnt .Only Chinese beer tasted better.Save your money and go somewhere else .

5 slices of barbecued pork and 5 slices of plain chicken, 17 pounds including the service charge, nmd is funny, why don’t you go and grab it? It’s a rubbish restaurant. It’s really fw. Jawpa

Delicious food and very good service, good portions, amazing view of St John’s Chapel while we ate! The dim sum were fresh and really good, we had a mix of main courses and noodles and all were excellent. Will definitely return!

Was lucky to visit here last night for dinner and enjoy a gorgeous meal. We had the salt and chilli tofu and shrimp dumplings to start, and chicken cashew nut with rice and beef black bean with ho fun noodles. Would absolutely recommend this fantastic restaurant. The staff were extremely attentive and brought us everything we needed very quickly. The food was so fresh, and the ingredients used were of extremely good quality. Will definitely be back.

Rarely do I leave a restaurant so angry. My food came and it was room temperature at best, beef brisket was cold in the middle. I ate some of it because I was starving but then complained that it was too cold and I couldn't eat it. Waiter did absolutely nothing to rectify it and took the plates away. I had asked for tap water which was never brought. Bill came to almost £40 for food I didn't eat and water I didn't get including service charge for terrible service. That was the last money I had on my bank account and I decided it would be worth it for a treat and helll if that's a treat there's no point. Absolutely furious.

Was an awesome experience. The food was authentic and delicious. Not only was the service excellent but they went beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied. If you have the opportunity to go I highly recommend.

I walked pass the restaurant and saw the menu had Hong Kong style milk tea and I knew I had to try it. In short, I ordered the same food and drink twice. 好撚好食 Pork fillet in salt and pepper with rice and Hong Kong style ice milk tea.

Ordered Veg Vermicelli £8 take away Owner said 10 mins but food arrived in 2 minutes. Rice noodles barely warm had clearly been microwaved. Few bits of veg. Very disappointing experience which mirrors what other reviewers have said about microwaved food. Wont be returning.

One of the best Chinese meals we have had. We oth had the seafood crispy noodles which was delicious and generous portion. Managed it with chopsticks. Restaurant full of Chinese people so good recommendation. Took our own wine, quite a pricey charge.

Love this place. Dishes can be hit and miss at HK fusion, but if you know what to get…wonderful and cheap!!! I like two things: their Chinese sausage clay pot rice and the lemon iced tea. Perfect combo. Imagine bimbimbop combined with sausage. Delicious. Great lunch time meal! Only complaint is that it’s not terribly clean — the restaurant is one of those where everything inside feels sticky.

Visited 14/10/23 as a date night. Staff were friendly and helpful and assisted me with a couple of things on the menu. Ordered and food arrived a short time later. Both myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend the salt and pepper squid and the capital ribs. It was quite busy when we were there but a nice atmosphere. It’s been a long time since I was last in a proper Chinese restaurant, but now I have found HK Fusion I will be be going a lot more often.

Hong Kong Fusion has been around for more than 10 years. It provides authentic Hong Kong food at a cheap price.

It's really really horrible... I understand the need for quick warm meals that may not be the best but, if that is what they are going for, the dishes should not cost over £10. Extremely poor value for money, each item should be £6 or less. Broths, meat and vegetables are totally unseasoned and tasteless. You pay £5-6 for their dumplings which are just heated from a store-bought frozen packet. If you want it fresh, it's £8! Please, go somewhere else if you want quick, comforting Chinese food.

Just had noodles here. They arrived in two minutes and we're just warmed in microwave. Definitely don't recommend this place!

Very pricy given the quality. We only had a dish of fish, a dish of vegetables, and two bowls of rice. We ended up paying 37 (4 for the nonexistent service) pounds. I don't know whether it is the normal price in Cambridge or what. But I'm quite sure we aren't satisfied with the quality.

Small business the food is pretty good. I came during non peak hours but I could see the service being much slower if it is packed. Also seems like a place that gets a ton of takeaway orders.

Thought would try this place as it looked busy from outside. Decor is terrible so dated and the toilets were disgusting. So glad we didn’t see the toilets before ordering. Food was ok nothing special local Chinese is much better, cheaper and more authentic. They charge nearly £10 for mushroom fried rice and £8 service, not worth it sorry.

Coming from a person who is from Hong Kong, their food DOES NOT represent our cuisine. Service was slow during peak hour (Saturday afternoon). The baked pork chop rice we ordered was full of food colouring (bright red????). We also ordered a clay pot rice, which didn’t even arrive after approximately 40 minutes!! When we asked the waiter about when it will arrive, they just said they are already preparing it. I’m gonna save my time and stop ranting, but please, if you want authentic HK food, AVOID AT ALL COST🤡

Cheap eats, extremely quick service and not that busy during weekend lunch hours. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. You can pay with cards like AMEX as well. We liked the beef brisket noodles more than the clay pot rice. The clay pot was not as hot so the rice didn’t crisp up at the bottom. Highlight was definitely the mango sago delight with coconut milk (should’ve taken a picture!)

The food was sooo good. And it came so quickly!! The waiter we had was lovely. The upstairs seating was pretty and peaceful. You get a nice view of the Cambridge college statues from there. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.

Wednesday came alone, ordered a bowl of noodles, the broth was tasteless, the ingredients were the same. Don’t understand how can a high rated restaurant will serve that. But the service was great.

An evening walk through downtown Cambridge ended with a delicious dinner at Honk Kong Fusion restaurant. The restaurant is located near the Round Church and offers over 250 dishes on the menu, representing the cuisine from Hong Kong and China. I started with a bowl of Winter Melon & Pork Rib Soup which was a perfect beginning of the meal. Then, we ordered fried Pork Filling Dumplings which were delicious and very aromatic. I drank jasmine tea with my meal, which was a perfect addition to the food. My waiter was very friendly and also helped me with choosing the dishes. Finally, my warm food was very tasty. I definitely recommend Honk Kong Fusion restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Hong Kong and Chinese cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere.

Ordered from here off deliveroo because the place recommended to us wasn't taking delivery orders. Ordered chaa siu buns, spicy pork, sweet and sour pork, egg fried rice and prawn crackers. Food was okay, not the best Chinese food I've had, sweet and sour didn't have a very strong taste and was too vinegary, egg fried rice had very little egg and didn't appear to have been fried at all, was definitely under-seasoned and not the well-seasoned soy sauce fried rice we're used to. Chaa siu buns weren't very fluffy but I put that down to them being delivered and served from a plastic box rather than the usual bamboo steamer. VERY small portions, cost us nearly £40 and was just barely enough. The next day my partner had a headache on waking up, we put this down to dehydration but then he was violently sick in the evening at the dinner table. The food was mediocre, but what ruined it was how ill it made my partner. Feel like the bare minimum for a restaurant is that it doesn't make you throw up. WON'T be going here or ordering again.

I waited nearly an hour for the food because the waiter had forgotten my order. The worst part is that the staff was unapologetic when I told them to retake the order. The food was also tasteless and difficult to swallow. Please avoid at all costs.

We’ve ordered from Hong Kong fusion many times and the food is always excellent. However this start review is because on Saturday, after a long trip, Deliveroo failed to assign a driver for our delivery at around 10PM, and the owner of Hong Kong Fusion went above and beyond, driving the food over himself. The food was delicious as usual, and we were beyond grateful to get it when we got home. Truly excellent service from an excellent restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway for the family. Egg fried rice was hard and undercooked and in my opinion had never seen a wok or been fried. Seemed microwaved. We also ordered fried dumplings and where priced at nearly £8 for 6!!!!. Really crap the kind of thing you would buy in bulk from costco. No way worth the money, rip off. My partner had a noodles dish which was OK but again nothing great. Definitely better options available in Cambridge don't bother here

⛔️ WARNING: BUG IN FOOD DON’T GO⚠️ Went today and THERE WAS A BUG IN THE SMOKED SAUSAGE / MEATS CLAY POT RICE!!! 🐛 🐛 🐛 🐛 🐛 🐛 The response of the owner was extremely apathetic and uncaring. We inquired about the food quality and they blamed the bug for “ flying in the pot” and the chefs saying “ it’s not my fault” instead of accepting responsibility and apologising right away. Guessing either the kitchen was filthy, full of moving insects OR the bug got in the rice so doubting their ingredient quality. We got terribly disgusted and won’t dine there again. Hope owners can improve food quality in the future—otherwise what a pity for the bunch of unknowing takeaway foodies suffering from possible food poisoning.

今天一家4口去試下呢間港人開的茶餐廳。我地叫咗出名的鳳瓜排骨飯，椒鹽豬排飯，蜜汁叉燒飯，燒賣，紅豆冰，熱奶茶。食物夠熱，份量足，味道不錯。排骨飯比中式酒樓多1.5倍，夠4人每人分一小碗。叉燒少咗D但好味，紅豆冰D冰太碎，好難食到紅豆，用冰粒會較好。熱奶茶就麻麻地，正如其他食客評論一樣。 服務員最初話滿座，後來比我地坐樓上4人檯。可能我地1:30才到，廚要下班。由於人手不足，真係要等食物，但待應態度良好。

Authentic food. You will get a true Hong Kong experience in terms of service. Waiting staff do not have facial expression and speed is everything. You should be worried if your waiter from a Hong Kong diner is smiling at you. For someone who want an American style service experience, go somewhere else. Come here if you want authentic food.

Worst experience ever. Don’t call yourself HK fusion because this place confused me. No hot pot in HK tastes like this. First of all, we requested to separate the seafood from other ingredients. Even though they said no problem, they still put seafood together with chicken. We had to separate the ingredients ourselves and my friend who doesn’t eat seafood just gave up eventually. We did not get everything we ordered. The amount was given unreasonably portioned for some items. We certainly didn’t understand the logic behind it, maybe cheaper/close to due date items were their first choice. When we asked for what we ordered but not given, the rudest staff I’ve ever met in my whole life said we must finish what we have on the table or they will charge us extra. We were so confused because that’s what we ordered at the beginning? As a restaurant, you should work it out how much to give for each item so the customers can get everything they ordered. If you think the number of items ordered was too much, you should advise the customers with your experience. Instead, they made decisions for us. “Sure, eat as much as you want but only for the ingredients we want to give to you” The staff was unbearably annoying. She came to us and said if your friend doesn’t eat, it would be unfair for her. She also threatened us again that if we didn’t finish everything then they will charge us extra. She said her manager is downstairs and would be very angry if not everything is finished and she doesn’t want that to happen. So is it my problem your manager cannot control their emotions? She also blamed on us and said we should have told them to take things away when they brought the food out if it was too much. I said it’s our first time to dine with you and I think you should know how much better than I do. She then replied well you guys don’t eat as much as others do and said we should just keep eating until we finish. I just gave up at that point. The rude lady who served us told us it’s £22.50pp, but other lady told us £23.50 before we pay for the bill. When we saw the bill, it turned out to be £23.95. We didn’t even question too much, they also try to push the blame, “you should see it outside.” Yes, we must have been blind to even walk in. We couldn’t stay there for any longer. Paid for the bill with nearly £11 service(rude&angry) charge. Anyway guys, DO NOT STEP in there. You’d be traumatised and have PTSD after a meal with them.

剑桥最差最差的中餐馆没有之一，食物难吃就算了，老板娘服务态度也是极其恶劣，花钱买罪受应该就是对来这个饭店消费最好的形容！最低是1⭐，要不然我会打0分！

Save yourself the money it won't be worth it! Avoid this place at all costs! At £23 a head for a hotpot it was just a really poor experience. Food quality was dreadful, cheap cuts of meat thrown on a plate, I don't think I've seen someone serve such badly butchered chicken in my life. Overall though, food hygiene is the biggest fear, uncooked fish and chicken slapped on the same plate, no means of separating cooked from uncooked. Just stay away unless you want food poisoning!!

This is one of those restaurants it’s too easy to walk past….but have a look at those inside and you’ll see that it’s clearly very popular with those who understand the nature of authenticity when it comes to great food. Service is impeccable. The mixed dim sum were amazingly fresh. We’d recommend the triple roast as a main. Rice and noodle portions are huge! For an amazing dessert, have a couple of egg tarts. So light and amazingly flavoured. Gets 5 out of 5 from us 👍
