Very very disappointed.. They used to do the best bacon sandwiches, I ever had... very sorry that "Shrinkflation" has taken hold here. Once thick cut bread is now thin and once lots of slices of bacon now down to one. Very disappointed especially as the price also seems to have increased. Come on guys restore your reputation! I would gladly pay more to have the excellent sandwiches you used to do.

Visited today after lovely walk up Clent. Ordered bacon and egg sandwich and latte. Omg it’s just awesome! Their bacon sandwiches are wonderful. The latte was hot and creamy, perfection. My elderly Dad and I visited for lunch after a stroll up to the toposcope. As always, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty, substantial and extremely reasonably priced. We each had a doorstep sandwich, a large mug of tea and a huge hunk of homemade blueberry cake, and the total bill was only £12! This isn't a posh spot (we sat on plastic chairs under the canopy as it was raining) but for hearty al fresco food, it can't be beaten.

I had a lovely egg muffin but my son had a bacon sandwich and although the bread was really fresh, the bacon was dried and hard (Just overcooked I think). The cafe is in an amazing location on the Clent hills, where you can enjoy nice walks and wonderful views. You can enjoy your food and drink while looking at all the wonderful scenery. The sandwiches are big and will definitely fill you up, Bacon, sausage and egg is always my favourite. The bread is thick and has loads of filling, it's definitely a proper sandwich. Also the price of the food and drink is quite cheap! If i had to choose a place to go for a breakfast sandwich, i will always choose here. They are the best sandwiches around! Perfect place to be for dog walkers, families, friends and even if you just want to look at the nice views. Its always a great place to take your friends and family on a nice day for a bite to eat. One thing is, the cafe can get quite busy and might take some time for your order to arrive, especially around the afternoon period. But that should be a problem if your with good company and take in all the scenery while you wait.

I arrived at my destination. To my dismay I immediately noticed there were no car park space markings and people were parking in all manner of places. One individual through sheer desperation had parked in a tree. On opening the car door I was horrified to find large puddles and an uneven surface. Onwards I walked towards the cafeteria. The concrete surface there was somewhat even although still hazardous with some slightly raised slabs. I couldn’t believe that families hadn’t noticed this and were smiling as they consumed their purchases. I was greeted by a dishevelled man, I pondered as to his age, maybe late twenties, although felt rude to inquire. Upon being asked what I would like, I felt hurried and needed to find space to plan. I returned to find a large queue. I approached the front and in no uncertain terms allowed staff and the man in particular know how I was feeling. Could a customer not walk away to fathom out what one wishes to consume? How dare they let other people intrude. I had been gone for a mere five minutes. Then, I had a pleasant surprise! After seeing how distraught a customer could be, I was kindly escorted back to my car by two friendly staff members who then waved me goodbye as I left. All in all, the whole experience cost £3 to park and would thoroughly recommend it to everyone.Richard.

The cafe has been around for a great number of years and has slowly improved the eating experience that it provides.Being used to the high quality cafe /restaurants of the Italian Dolomites and lakes we wonder why the British culture is so different. The food is simple a generally tasty although at times with the fried items like the bacon can taste too much of slightly burnt fat. The Eccles cakes are lovely and the cafe provides a good brew. Some improved under cover seating would be great but the fear of people vandalising such additions might prohibit that bit of luxury.

Turned up at 10:30 on a Friday morning to a fairly big queue which was moving at a glacial pace. The problem seemed to be a bunch of what I can only assume to be regulars half chatting to the staff, half pushing in to get their mugs topped up. After ordering we waited 40 minutes for 2 bacon sandwiches. On approaching the collection counter the man told me loudly "there's a sign for a reason, no waiting here til we call your number". I wasn't waiting, I was beginning to wonder where 2 bacon sandwiches ordered over half an hour ago were. 10 minutes later they finally arrived. They were reasonable, but definitely not worth the wait or the attitude from the staff. We all have our off days, maybe this was his, maybe he's in the wrong job, maybe he's just plain ignorant. Whatever, we won't be back.

I've been using this cafe for years, currently most weekends. The breakfast sandwiches are superb. A good variety of sandwiches are available and both veggie and gluten free options. Thick cuts of fresh bread, big sized portions, super quality bacon from a local butcher. Not to mention the home made cakes and doggy treats. At busy times there will be a queue, and a wait for sandwiches to be served - trust me it will be worth the wait. My dog and I enjoyed a good long walk over the Clent Hills before stopping here for breakfast. A lovely bacon sandwich on decent bread, and good to have a proper mug rather than those horrible polystyrene jobs. Setting is spot on, and it's nice to see water for the dog too. There is no doubt that Simon makes THE best bacon sandwich I've ever had. His cheese and BBQ sauce on toast is also beyond words, absolutely delicious.Unfortunately due to the fabulous produce served, the queue to get served just gets longer and longer and slower...whilst most walkers only want tea and sandwiches, it would appear that they offer a whole range of coffees which invariably takes much much longer to get the queue moving. After a good walk you are frozen stiff by the time you get served and even colder by the time food arrives. Please please leave the lattes, sprinkles and other stuff to Starbucks! and go back to basics so everyone gets a hot drink and sandwich rather than having to resort to going home due to the length of the queue. This is no slight on the cafe, just an adjustment required to deal with its popularity
