I had an average experience at best with a take away from here about a month ago. My criticisms were met with with nothing but professionalism. Tonight I ordered exactly the same food which was delivered as promised. The curry sauce was the best I’ve ever had from a Chinese takeaway and there was this time a large pot of it. The sweet and sour balls and sauce were so much better, delicious. We will have to agree to disagree on the fried rice. It was not for me but with the larger portion of curry sauce was excellent. Thank you Bingnan for honouring your promise and I will now definitely recommend you and return.

Absolutely fantastic hidden gem that we found by good fortune. Started with the duck pancakes which a 1/2 easily fed of us and was very generous with the duck. They also gave us extra hoisin sauce. All of the other dishes with delicious and generously portioned

Second time, small but very stylish, spare ribs to die for, we both had curry which was delicious, service was good, but very busy with takeaways, telephone orders and sitters , the staff were very busy could have been better staffed, in all restaurants nowadays who have the priority, some times service can slip

The restaurant has a nice vibe to it with friendly staff and the food is top notch. Good sized portions and excellent quality.

We did not book; were shown to a table in the window. Good spot to ‘people watch’ on Commercial Road. Noted that the chopsticks placed on table sets on the other tables all had gold trimmed fat ends, ours did not; perhaps differential for those who booked a table reservation…. Anyway, our food was Excellent. Mains of Kung Po Pork and the Special Chow Mein. Very good and full of good things and tastes. Had a bottle of red with our meal. A surprise on receiving the bill; an ‘obligatory’ service charge of 12.5%! I discussed this with the duty manager; said the Owner set this and it can’t be overwritten. Said it used to be 20%!. I noted that the takeout meal prices were generally £2 discount on the dine-in prices. No justification for arbitrarily adding 12.5%. Otherwise I would gave given 5/5 rating.

Booked for four of us on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautifully laid out and we loved the place settings. I'd been advised to share some mains across the table rather than think "one each": and this was apt advice. We had chicken balls, prawn toast and the best duck spring rolls you could imagine to start. Then tried the kung po pork, beef (unsure which), chicken chow mein and egg fried rice. We loved every bite. The cocktails had a good report, and the ginger beer was lovely and spicy. We really enjoyed catching up in such a nice environment too. Massive thanks to Bingnan for getting us booked in.

Had a really lovely meal, everything we ordered was fresh. It was also very affordable will definitely be returning. The pork dumplings especially good!

We ordered a delivery to our hotel before returning to Jersey tomorrow and, quite simply, WOW! Hands down the best Chinese food we’ve had in years and the chilli beef was better than Hakkasan. Perfect duck and pancakes. The egg fried rice looked pale but packs such a delicious flavour punch and the sweet and sour pork had such a lovely smoky flavour from the wok, so you know it’s beautifully fresh. If you’re in Poole don’t miss out on this gem! Thank you Nihao 🙌🏼

We ate here for the 1st time last week. Amazing food (fresh tofu which you cannot find anywhere else), and Szchuan chicken was out of this world. And such good/friendly service. Highly recommend dining here, our new fave Chinese in Parkstone

The best Chinese in Dorset! And better than London!! We have had two takeaways from here, 4 months apart. We are fussy about Chinese so started our fist delivery with sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls etc and it was divine!Last night we ordered more and it was all absolutely beautiful! Nothing was fatty or fake, nothing made us bloated….it was all just beautiful, clean Chinese food! The egg fried rice and satay chicken were the best I’ve ever tasted! Also, the cost actually reflects the quality of the food….hence we will only order from here. The service is also beyond 5*…the staff can’t do enough to help you. Absolutely 5 stars….and we will be in the restaurant soon!

Honestly the best Chinese takeaway I've had in ages, the flavours were beautiful and you you can really tell they don't use msg, it just tastes so much fresher. After ordering our takeaway from here tonight me and my family have decided to try out the restaurant for my birthday next month.

Sorry, not impressed at the prices charged. Some items arrived cold. Sate chicken was very disappointing but crispy beef in chilli was very good. Overall not good value for money.

Honestly the best Chinese restaurant and take away around! The price you are paying is for FRESH food! The chow main and the chicken wings and Singapore noodles are AMAZING! The staff go above and beyond to help you. This is defo a place you need to come visit!

So glad we called in, we were looking for takeaway on the way home from a few drinks and the place (while small) was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. Little touches like the hand painted wall or the Panda chop stick holders all added to the fact that they'd thought it through. House Special Show Mein for me...hot, fresh and very well portioned. Owner and staff were both friendly and chatty. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Awful food and awful atmosphere, I went there last week and was served by the “owner” who was just so rude and had a massive ego for no reason! She was also rude to her staff you can tell she treats them awfully! There’s lots of other reviews saying this and I can definitely see it. I didn’t even tip as the owner takes all the employees tips!! Just disgusting.

Delicious food, good size portions (doggy bags were needed!) Very welcoming staff. Although she could have used an extra pair of hands once the small restaurant filled. Lovely atmosphere, enjoyed the background music. Would recommend.

Came here whilst on holiday in Sandford. Good food, reasonable portions and not too expensive. Well worth a visit ! Nicely decorated/ smart and modern, smallish and the staff are very welcoming, we ate in and will return next time we are in the area !

Went for dinner while on holiday after seeing some good reviews and weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and welcoming, especially the new waitress who had only just started.

We came here on our little break in poole. Welcomed by Matt our waiter. He was warm and attentive throughout our meal. The food was lovely and no complaints could be made. Good service and checked in throughout. Beautiful setting to enjoy a meal. Thankyou.

My wife and I have enjoyed Ni Hao meals on three occasions. After first having a take-away, we have twice visited the pleasantly designed restaurant. The food was excellent on all three occasions. The proprietor, who we met for the first time last night, is 'hands-on.' I would have added a fifth star had our waitress last night not been on her first day: she got nearly everything right! Our visits were made early in the week. As the restaurant is not large, it might be wise to book a table at weekends and other busy times.

Owner is extremely rude and food is awful, if I could give 0 stars, I would. Comment to your response: I quite frankly have no idea what you mean as this is not related to any former employee. I don’t see how this can be a fake review when I simply had a bad experience in your restaurant. The rudeness of the owner is clearly being conveyed in this response which should be responded to with politeness, which I’m sure your few ‘fans’ will see through, very bad customer service. Once again, I did not enjoy the food, nor the owners bad attitude. And from reading these reviews, it seems to be that employees are not treated with any more respect than the restaurant’s own customers. Very very poor, I will never recommend.

I’ve been with my friend at ladies night out, amazing atmosphere, my favourite dumplings and spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken hongkong style and crispy beef , nice style restaurant and such a lovely owner. Really don’t get it why some people giving low reviews. I recommend absolutely.

It’s worth knowing that any tips paid at this establishment are only passed to the staff at the end of the year (so end December 2023 for the current year). If staff stop working for the business, at anytime before this date, they will receive none of their tips and the money will be kept by the business. The business owner believes this to be a fair and reasonable way to retain staff. My daughter worked here (but has now left due to the tipping policy) so I know this to be true.

Food is mediocre at best… maybe that’s me being too nice! Wouldn’t recommend, even to my worst enemy👎shocking.

My partner and I visited here a few weeks ago, I was originally reluctant to go, given its current star rating. However, we had such a lovely evening that I feel compelled to write a review (which I never do) to try and boost their rating! The staff were so welcoming and lovely, the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and I would definitely recommend! Looking forward to going back!

Food was well presented and very fresh and tasty. Portion sizes were very generous. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The staff were very attentive and polite. Definitely our new go to Chinese .

Superb quality! The best Chinese in the area by far.

This has quickly become our favorite local meal! Flavors are superb and everything is cooked so well, the people who run the restaurant are very sweet and clearly care deeply about the quality of the food. We've had the takeaway many times but ate there in person the other night for the first time, and it was delicious! The aubergine with pork (from the 'nihao specials') was truly something special, one of the best things I've tasted for a long time. We've also ordered takeaway from here many times and the entire dim sum menu/all the dumplings are amazing, and the chicken with ginger & spring onions and the yuntun soup are so comforting and healing when you're feeling poorly. Also love the green beans with olive (great salty taste so especially good together with a mild chicken dish) and the hot & sour soup has an excellent strong flavor. I never post reviews but we love this place!

Crispy beef with chilli was awful just burnt rice crispy sized pellets - my chicken noodle dish was just ok £80 later with a bottle of white wine and 4 spring rolls to start we were off - certainly not the place to go for what we hoped was going to be a lovely independent Chinese. And it was a birthday meal too ! Avoid.

Visited Ni Hao for the first time and have to say, it was some of the nicest Chinese food we have ever had. Yes the restaurant is small, but it was full and had a nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely, very polite and the food was fresh, hot, tasty and we didn't have to wait to long on a busy Saturday night. The owner came over for a chat after our meal, which was really nice. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back! Thank you Ni Hao for a great date night!

Excellent food. Really good wines and beers that compliment the food very well. Very friendly staff. I think a slightly nervous and inexperienced waitress whose still getting to grips with things running but this is expected for a brand new restaurant and will only get better with time. We will definitely return.

Came with my girlfriend and my family starters too 45 minutes considering the was only our table and one other table of 2 slow service and disorganised the mains came out after an hour and was completely wrong payed for our drinks and left

Gave it one star cos it won't let me put 0, ordered food at 21.15 and then got told they were shut after waiting for 45 minutes for delivery

Late (by over an hour), cold, soggy and utterly tasteless. Worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Prawn crackers were the highlight.

A cold Weds evening. We were the only ones there. Restaurant was as cold as outside both physically and atmosphere. Food was served hot but by the time we got to the end it was quite cold. Quality was disappointing as we have had several meals from here which were great. Felt like a mid week second class experience except for server who was very good and friendly. Shame .

Went to this restaurant last night around 7pm to get a couple of dishes to take home. Initial impression of the restaurant was bright and clean, with friendly staff, although no customers were there at that time. A quick visit to the toilet also found that to be clean. But now to the food. I ordered the special chow mein and the house special fried rice. The chow mein arrived in two separate containers, one with the noodles and one with the 'topping'. Unusual, as these should all be combined in the wok as part of the preparation. The lady taking my order said it was so the noodles would not go soggy by the time I got home. The rice was just in one container as expected, abd the lady said that was because the rice could absorb the sauce better than the noodles. On opening the containers at home the rice most certainly had not been stir fried. It was wet, overcooked (boiled) and stodgy from apparently not being properly drained, and had a very wet 'sauce' just poured on top. It had most certainly NOT been properly combined in the wok during cooking. The topping for the noodles was a container full of what seemed to be more of the identical wet sauce that had been poured on the rice. More like a soup. Coincidentally another customer just before me had left without some of their order, and having seen the food when I got home I have a strong suspicion that their dishes may have been 'recycled' and given to me as my order. It only took six to seven minutes for my order to be ready. No characteristic wok sounds came from the kitchen. Clearly neither dish had been properly prepared and it was exceptionally disappointing. All that for almost £25 for two dishes which is somewhat overpriced even for reasonable food. I felt this was a complete rip-off. This was my first and last visit to this establishment.

Really Tasty Chinese takeaway from a place in Lower Parkstone, Poole! You have to give credit where credit is due! Haven’t had a Chinese this nice for a long time so wanted to leave a good review. Good portion sizes and most importantly you don’t feel rubbish after it!!! It tastes a lot fresher than normal Chinese takeaways.

Special fried rice came seperate and sauce smelled like wee. The chicken had a strange taste and seemed off and order delivered with missing items.

Fantastic!! Me and my family went and had dinner after the fireworks with all our kids, they where so welcoming, really happy to help with the kids. Not only brilliant service but the food is absolutely top quality which is really reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back. Hi service was great, timely and polite. The curry sauce tasted like coconut was in it so did not enjoy the sauce and therefore felt like my meal was rouined . Also asked for mushrooms to be added to the beef chow main which did not happen otherwise can not complain.

Food was very bland rice came out 10 minutes after curry. I thought staff didnt want to be there and to top it off one of the staff was so rude to the table next to us it just ruined the mood. Would never go back . Im 28 years old go out for meals quite often and have never seen customer service quite like it. It was like sonething off of gordon ramseys kitchen nightmares

Terrible service. Rude staff. Brought out wrong food. Brought out dishes at different times so when it finally came out everything else was cold. When complained all I got was " well I'm not the one who's ordering " not a very good response from the manager. Also was called a liar a few times by the manager. This place is not a restaurant its just a chinese takeaway with 1 table so don't be fooled by the name.

Very average if not poor takeaway. Mixed starter was clearly not freshly cooked, dried up food. Main courses were a bit better , beef OK but sweet and sour chicken had been re cooked / heated. Their special egg fried rice just had sweet corn added to it. Will not return after this experience. So disappointing from a new restaurant

I went for my mothers birthday with my elderly grandmother and the waitress was extremely accommodating, helpful and kind. As well as the delicious food and beautiful decor.

Would use as a take away but definately not a restaurant again. 3 of us squashed into a little round table that was uncomfortable. The bench in the window that was a seat was uncomfortable. The service was very slow due to the young lad taking take away orders, serving drinks and the food to the diners. Table wasnt laid for 3 only 2 despite booking ahead. Our food was placed on the table in stages as there wasn't enough space which wasn't ideal. We didn't have serving plates so had to get up and ask for them. Then we didn't have cutlery, one of our drinks took over half an hour to arrive and then we had to get up again and ask for it after the other 2 had been served. To be fair it made the whole experience unpleasant. We wernt offered any service at all really. Plates were whisked off whether we'd finished or not. No coffee or further drinks offered. It felt like a bad experience in MacDonalds.

We had a phenomenal dinner today: the owner was extraordinary with great customer service, whilst the food was perfect from starterts til the end. I highly recommend it to anyone living or visiting Poole.

Really enjoyed this takeaway. Delicious food, well prepared, fresh and clean and a great place to sit and have a drink while waiting. Staff were top class. Well worth trying.
