Been ordering hear for a very long time now. And the food has always been good but recently it's been awful , chips under cooked. Chowmein tasteless and curry sauce was slimy. Unfortunately won't be eating from here again.

Not impressed. The cucumber that came with the duck was extremely out of date, which if you don't know is dangerous to eat.Rest if the take away was nothing special

Have eaten here many times, But the meals just don'st seem the same anymore, quite tasteless tonight, We had a special curry the curry sauce was so thick and no flavour very bland, with a few shrimps same again for chicken pieces also maybe 2 bits of something else, pork i think as it was very fatty, also a special rice, that looked burnt and nasty, plus a small amount of prawn crackers. Even they were tasteless All in all a nasty meal that was not worth the £20.00 + plus Nasty meal that ended up in the bin, Not good Alex, What a shame

Ordered food via telephone - lady very polite and food arrived within eta. Food however crispy Shedded beef certainly didn’t taste of beef and tastes like they have used sweet chilli sauce from the bottle you find in a supermarket. Singapore chow mien asked for no prawns but found 2 and to top it off the prawn crackers were burnt. The chilli and salt chicken was fatty and soggy. First and last visit

I regularly order from here and yesterday I had servere food poisoning, very disappointing and won’t be ordering from here again as it’s put me right off

The lady who took our order was helpful and polite. Wehad a lovely meal for 6 freshly cooked with decent portions,delivered by a friendly driver. I wouldn't hesitate to place another order and my guests were converted to Alex Wok.

I've used this takeaway for a few years, and the food has been nice, but yesterday's takeaway, was very below par. The chicken balls were very dry, and the special fried rice was the same, 3 of us have been fighting for the loo all day, very bad stomachs. Looks like the food was cooked in the day, then pre heated before delivery. You can't cook any meat hours before opening, and have it sitting around, and then pre heat, also includes any rice dishes. Very unprofessional. You should cook to order.

Really disappointing, the egg fried rice was some kinda dirty grey greasy stuff with a strange taste, sorry Alex wok, you really can wok off, you won't get my custom again, let's hope no belly ache tomorrow

I have been ordering from Alex Wok for many years and have always been happy with the food and delivery. Ordering today I noticed a £1 'small order' fee for a £35 order. This is unacceptable and Alex Wok have now lost a customer.

The food was excellent! Always order from here when we want Chinese, my husband love the Crispy shredded beef in sweet chilli sauce. :)

Ordered for the second time, as first time the food was amazing. Ordered Saturday night 1.30 minute wait. This was fine for a take away with good reviews. The food was barely warm the plastic bag was wet inside were the food was hot but cooled. Nice food but expect it hot.

Made a phone order for delivery, it turned up very quick and it was very hot when it arrived, and I have to say it was very very nice and tasty, this will be where I order from in the future

Nice grilled pork dumplings and very nice satay chicken on skewers with lovely pineapple chunks and white onion, amazing combo but we were very disappointed with the Roast Duck Fried Rice, the meat wasn't fresh at all :( And Chicken with lemon sauce it's of a personal taste, my partner loved it and it was not my thing. We've got free prawn crackers which was nice but tasted not good at all so went straight in the bin and we hate throwing food :( So all in general food experience was quite avarage and I don't honestly think we would have ordered again from that same place.

First time ordering from this place, saw the good reviews on the internet and thought I would give it a try. We decide to pick up as the time was only 20 mins, nice clean shop with lots of nice smell coming out of the kitchen. Nice welcome from the girl on the front desk, food was ready 5 mins later. All the food was very tasty, we had chow mien noodle, king prawns in sweet chilli, smoked chicken and chicken balls, will definitely visit this place again.

Another lovely takeaway from here. Tried the Chicken in White Wine and Garlic sauce, Chicken was soo tender. The service was as usual amazing. Carry on the good work.

Ordered today, for a few of us, I ordered king Prawn with black bean and green pepper. Recieved a sloppy red, yellow, and maybe some green pepper off the top of an under-ripe other pepper, dish with some tightly curled, over cooked prawns. The other food sufficed as they were too hungry not to eat, but they didn't enjoy it. The online ordering was difficult, it kept randomly updating, which meant we missed a large rice. Never again. I did ring but to be honest the offer of receiving more of the same wouldn't have been palatable. If they don't know the flavours by now it's too late.

I ordered King prawn fried rice, was piping hot and prawns nice and fresh. My only issue is that every Chinese in the area seems to be using the same rubbish brand of prawns crackers. I don’t know why, but like I said it’s everywhere not just here. Other than that, overall a good Chinese!

I have been using Alex Wok for probably 30 years and have always found the food, service and delivery to be first class. Lately they have started adding a 'small order charge' to deliveries under £20 which is, in my opinion, unacceptable. I have just cancelled an order for this reason and I would imagine Alex Wok will lose around 12 to 15 orders per year for their greed. I'm sure the restaurant will have many reasons for this charge however I see no reason why an order for one person if less than £20 should be penalised in this way.

Best crisp shedded beef best ive ever tested

Food is nice, but recently notice that curry portions and main dishes are getting smaller and price's have gone up, the curry is now served in a small container with large mushrooms and onions taking up most of the already small container leaving less room for the meat and sauce, food always hot and taste nice but not a lot for your money ....

Not sure if this place is under new management but the meal we’ve just ordered not only arrived over half an hour over the estimated delivery time of 45 minutes but was most certainly nowhere close to the standard of the food of the meal we had delivered just over a month ago!! Won’t be ordering from here again!

Wow just wow First time visit an won't be the last The food was exceptional, best in town by far! The lamb curry was bangingly tasty an perfect spice level, can be hitter if asked. Lamb was tender an succulent. The special friend rice as asked for no prawn and they accompanied our needs due to allergies. The ribs was awesome and moreish! The sweet an sour sauce was sweet and sour and lovely consistency. The spring rolls was the best I had and I judge all places in chicken balls these was all so the best I have had! Bravo to the chefs and the staff was friendly and very helpful and understanding! Very clean premises and the food didn't take long too cook and was rushed or compromised by trying to be quick Ten out of ten And five stars like the hygiene rating Not to be missed

The only good part about my order was the shredded duck. The rest of my order had no taste to it! Majority of it ended up going in the bin as it was just not nice to eat! The chow mein was so watery, lemon chicken was so bland! sweet chilli chicken again was not nice! The egg fried rice did not taste the way it should and was brown for some reason. I won't be ordering from here again!

We have recently moved to Poole and were looking forward to our first Chinese meal. I looked at the reviews online along with various menus and finally decided on Alex Wok. The food arrived well within the time specified and was superb. I had salt and spicy ribs...only 2 tiny bones the rest was all meet and there was loads. My wife had the grilled pork dumplings (called wa tip where we come from) she reckons they are the best so far! For mains we ordered chicken chow mein which was also excellent, not at all greasy which is so often a problem.

Food was lovely. Collected the order and they brought it to the car.

I ordered food at an early hour was told 45 minutes delivery. An hour and 15 minutes later I rang to be told ohhhh we are packing it now could be another 30 minutes they did explain they are busy now but not when I ordered? I spoke to the manager who was not helpful and cancelled my order and refunded my money(I think) but no delivery out of curiosity I rang back to comferm this and was told this is correct please avoid in reflection this is not a very professional organisation

Had a delivery from here for the first time, took one mouthfull of the chicken and realised it was uncooked and still frozen, phoned to complain the owner admitted it was frozen but refused to refund me, visited his shop still after showing him the food he refused to refund me, now off to the environmental health, stay away cheap frozen food
