Better to reserve in advance! Always very busy here and its family favourite. Food is good as always and service is great ! really clean restaurant definitely go back. Absolutely wonderful!

went looking for some nice Chinese all you can eat food, as you do. the room was nothing special, no Chinese drinks behind the bar, polystyrene coving falling off in a few places but were here now.. so starters arrive and we picked a few , we got a few dishes we didnt pick but no big deal, we tried three different soup types but they all arrived the same looking soup. , oh well , duck next, then the main course.. by then the salt level in my mouth was teetering on saturation. the mains arrived and it was like a salt paradise. monosodium glutamate on steroids.. i tried a few items in the soup and they floated like a cork.. bones dont float me thinks. .. the guys who were serving were young and polite. Its a drinkers paradise, its got nothing to do with food, Chinese food by name and nothing else.. very sad, wont get fooled again. Id only say swerve this place if you can unless they start getting off the saxa. yes I did try a veg plate and it followed the others , more salt . may be they have a slug problem.?

During our 2 week holiday we ate here 3 times. The food is absolutely delicious The staff 5*. I really cannot recommend it enough.

The waitress was very polite. She did say the portions are small but there is small and too small I had garlic prawns only four on the plate and they were overcooked, had satay chicken The sauce was not satay. Rice was brought out 10 minutes before other dishes so it was cold lemon chicken which definitely wasn’t Had sweet and sour chicken, which was nice we normally go to this kind of restaurant and we would order quite a few dishes but we decided to not order anymore because we were so disappointed i’m not a person that normally complains

My partner and I came with friends for a birthday meal out. Service was great. Food was absolutely out of this world. Definitely recommend the salt and pepper squid. Chow mein was lovely. Haven't had a Chinese in years. Glad I tagged along :)

Excellent food and concept! All the food we had was delicious and our waiters, Danny and Alan were so lovely and helpful. They offered recommendations and kept asking if we’d like anything else. They also allow you to order as much as you’d like to. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured to leave. It was a really lovely meal. Would definitely recommend and would visit again!

It's so nice to find a Chinese buffet where the food is made fresh to order. We like to go here for special occasions. For me you can not beat the duck and smoked chicken, yummy. Only down side is due to its location more often than not you have to pay for parking but its not that expensive.

This is my go-to restaurant when we visit family in Poole. The restaurant in on a high street, bad for parking, we fell lucky this time as we found a space directly opposite. The service was excellent as ever. The food was AMAZING as it always is. The price has gone up a little - it cost £60 for 2 us us which is quite expensive, and I don't have a huge appetite, so not sure I got great value for money, but the food makes it worth it.

We have discovered Bamboo Leaf over 3 years ago and we keep coming back. Bamboo Leaf is a lovely little all you can eat Chinese hidden on a main road (cheap car park available within waking distance may I add). We absolutely love this place, the staff are friendly always welcome you with a smile. Nothing ever is too much trouble. The choice of food is amazing. The appetisers and main manu, duck, everything is delicious, tasty and well cooked. Never had any issues. Absolutely love it and will continue visiting :)

Have been going for years as have members of my family and tonight I was shocked to say the least. My partner and I were very disappointed, food was awful and staff didn't seem to care. To make it worse we weren't the only table to complain.No apology or offer of discount! Asked if the chefs have changed and was blanked !!! Won't be going back !!!!

Somewhat disappointed with the whole experience, atmosphere was poor, dimly lit and miserable music. add to this the questionable portion sizes and quality and makes for a poor night out. Spicy food should be spicy( this was not 0 loaded with onion to bulk out the portions and why when two of you order the same starter so you get three skewers of satay surely should be two each ??

We haven't been here for years but after a long day out we really wanted to have a nice meal so we booked for early dinner. There's plenty of choice on the all you can eat menu and everything is cooked fresh to order so it's super hot and tasty. The only downside was that there was over 30 mins wait between ordering and then each course arriving and when we left we realised we'd been in there for nearly 3 hours. The staff were very lovely and the food really was delicious but service times was not great and I'm glad we didn't have our children with us as they are not so patient.

I would like to say it's rubbish don't go there as I don't want it ruined by everyone turning up but honestly it's a great place, the food is lovely the staff are great and you get to order your all you can eat food instead of it coming out of a bucket....

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Booked a table for valentines day on the 13th of January, booked early so we could guarantee a table. The day before the booking I called them to double check the time of my table - when they answered didn't even get a hello, all I got was 'Ill call you back 5 minutes.'... Eventually got a call back and told me they were closed tomorrow due to 'gas works.' (on valentines.) So if i hadn't of called them they wouldn't of told me they were 'closed'. However I believe they lied to me. I phoned up on a different mobile number on valentines day to ask for a table and they said 'Sorry were fully booked' and scoffed. THEY LIED TO ME. TERRIBLE SERVICE. THEY WERE NOT CLOSED. THEY RUINED OUR VALENTINES DAY MEAL. NOT HAPPY WHEN WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS.

Friendly easy going staff let you choose as much as you like , Food comes quickly Basic decoration but food is good great to try lots of different things. Early evening best before it gets busy :-)

Amazing all you can eat food cooked fresh to order. Offers tasters to try new dishes, if unsure of them. Waiting staff are great. Place needs an update which is it's only criticism.

5 stars = Extraordinary. The staff is always ready to help, the premises are extremely clean, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented.

Good food all cooked to order. Very tasty all round. Only downside felt cold in restaurant as heating wasn't on.

Amazing choice for vegetarians and food is always tasty. The only thing I’ll say is be careful if you have allergies/special dietary requirements as there’s been a few occasions where we’ve double checked if something is vegetarian and it’s turned out to be meat, they’re not particularly careful with checking. But that aside it’s our favourite place for a Chinese!

Had a wasted trip. Tried calling ahead, no answer, phones ring out with no voicemail or answering facility, got there, parked up to find it closed, on a Monday?? wasted my time and petrol, why close during the week? really bad for customer expectation levels. Ruined my evening, was very much looking forward to it.

Absolutely con £12.90 for a 4year old who had a small bowl of rice!! Apparently it’s a new thing the owner has brought in that no matter the kids age you now have to pay!!

Fabulous restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was excellent.

The place itself looks like a rather shabby little cafe. It run by a lovely friendly couple call Kitty an Akoo. The food is oriental/ Cantonese/Chinese and it’s absolutely DELICIOUS. We were only in Bournemouth for 3 days but the food at Bamboo was so good we went there twice. It’s only a very small place and a bit hard to find but it is next to a busy Dominoes Pizza takeaway.

Came here a few hours ago and noticed blue on the rib. Looked like really bad mould. Unfortunately I'd eaten a couple before hand. Waiter tried to say it was char from being cooked in the oven. But it definitely wasn't. We left without paying and I'm praying I don't get food poisoning. Would not recommend this place. Quality of the food is bad too. Got salt and chilly things and it just came with over cooked onions on top of it.

Great little gem on Ashley road, also the best all you can eat Chinese in the Poole/Bournemouth area.

First visit in a few years and pleasantly pleased. Food was excellent, well presented and nice and hot. Usually go to Days for our Chinese Buffet, but will be coming back here. Nice to be able to sit and talk, without having to get up to get food all the time.

The food is good but heavily overpriced. The service is lousy. I do not recommend this restaurant unless you have a lot of patience.

The perfect blend between the choice of buffet and the quality of restaurant service. Since each dish is slight smaller than normal, we ordered loads of different dishes - it was a nice change to be able to eat all of our favourite dishes in one visit! Would definitely recommend!

Great spot, especially when there's a large group of you. Food is great and the staff are friendly. The only reason I haven't given the atmosphere a higher star rating is because there is no music playing which I think would give a nicer atmosphere.

We went here for family birthday , staff were very attentive and couldn't be faulted , food wise .. lots of choice and the amount brought out was great but the quality.of the food was really not good at all the starters were mostly battered food and couldn't distinguish what the dishes were as so dry , ribs too ... The duck was really nice and couple of the mains were nice but wasn't Asian food as we know it and although all you can eat paying that amount you would expect the quality to be better . Staff were very understanding and didn't make us pay for our two toddlers who ate nothing but some prawn crackers .. but food wise definitely not best for quality .

We’ve been here quite a few times and every time the food and the service are both great. I love the fact that you can try little bits of a lot of dishes that you maybe wouldn’t order a whole plate of ordinarily. It’s always piping hot and tastes great, I just wish I knew when to stop. The fact that there are so many vegetarian dishes is great for me The only thing I’d like to change is the opportunity to maybe pay more for a dessert-it wouldn’t have to be a huge choice but maybe banana and apple fritters?

Birthday meal ruined by obnoxious waitress with the attitude problem. Phoned and made a reservation. Upon arrival, first issue started when we were questioned by waitress if we had even booked- not that it mattered as there were several empty tables that stayed empty all night. We tried to order drinks and asked what fruit ciders were available (as stated in the menu) was told none so asked what ciders were available to be told "Strongbow" and "John Smiths"- when I questioned if John Smiths was a cider, I was just abruptly told yes. Was made to feel very unwelcome all evening and any request was met with rolled eyes and attitude. Any food brought out was left on the opposite side of the table out of reach, and dirty empty dishes just left in between. She clearly didn't want to be there, or have her precious time interrupted by having to work or tend to paying customers. Would've understood maybe if it was busy but she had two tables to serve! Food was delicious and would've contemplated returning but the waitress and poor service ruined the whole experience and the birthday meal out.

The lady on reception looked like she didn't want to be there!No smile on greeting us. Service was quite slow, although not that busy. Same throughout the evening. Food was ok, but the next morning,I had a severe bout of sickness. So severe that while being sick,my false tooth plate came out into the toilet. Needless to say that it got flushed away. I didn't realise it had come out till it was too late! I now have to find nearly £300 to have a new one!!! My wife was also ill and we spent 36hrs in bed, recovering. Won't be returning!!!

Very good quality chinese food by british standards. I can make my own authenthic chinese meals and i can say among many local chinese food operators this is worth visiting. We use them on various occasions takeaway and dine in. Something as simple as egg fried rice when done correctly shows finesse with the quality of their offerings. Finally found one chinese place i can call on when we dont feel like firing up the wok from home. Restaurant looks a bit dated . Price is ok pretty much the same what others are charging for an all you can eat but the quality makes it worthwhile.

Restaurant was cold when we arrived, everyone kept their coats on. Did warm up after a while. Service was good with friendly staff. Food was hot and OK, just a little bland. Now costs £25.90 for an adult on a Saturday so you need to eat a lot to get value for money. Nothing to make me rush back.

I popped in to get an impulsive takeaway from Bamboo Leaf this evening after work, this was the first restaurant that came up when I typed in ‘best Chinese in poole’ and let me tell you what, bamboo leaf did not disappoint! The gentleman that was in there was a very friendly guy, the restaurant was clean and the food is top quality. We’ll definitely be coming back to try the all you can eat menu! Thank you :)

The food was perfect, hot and fresh .. the service was amazing and quick. Everything we requested was served with a smile. There was three of us and we have just found our perfect restaurant… and the lady who served us I wanted to take home with me because she was so lovely, a perfect evening thank you.

One of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants I've ever been to! All the food was available and cooked on request, so it arrived hot at our table and in generous portions. Everything was so tasty! Irina has been so pleasant, she assisted us in every request and gave us a top service! The place was warm and cosy, with a welcoming and friendly environment. I use to go to this restaurant all the time but my favourite waiter isn’t there anymore and sense. then the service is terrible rude waitress and slow service I don’t know why the younge waiter isn’t there anymore but amazing service from him

Fab food, couldn't fault it especially the value. What spoiled it for us was the fact they didn't accept our company credit card, after being told they did as I called ahead to check so had to pay personally.

The staff are friendly but the food was so disappointed. A lot of dish Re-cook and Every dishes we have tried tasted very similar( they use a lot flour to fry and then re-fry again so can’t really figure it what kind of meat or seafood we are eating). Don’t think we will recommend to everyone.

Avoid if you have allergy requirements. No allergen menu available, informed waitress of allergies and asked if there were anything on the menu I could eat, had to ask again as had nonresponse to which the reply was ‘I asked the chef and he didn’t reply I’ll ask again’. I was informed apparently there’s soya in this and some in this, they also then charged for myself on the bill when I didn’t eat a thing. However I have been before I had to avoid allergens and it was great.

I visited this restaurant a number of times as it always reoresents good value for money and the staff are usually quite friendly. Freshly cooked food and as much as you want. Disappointed that our booked table had been allocated to someone else but they did offer us a free drink whilst we waited for a table to become free which was onky 10 mins. Disappointing that there no deep fried squid available as this is one of my favourite dishes. It was very busy and there were long waits between the courses but it was worth the wait. I regularly recommend this restaurant to friends and family, despite the increase to £23.90 per person at weekends.

Visited with my Daughter on a Sunday night & while it was consistently fairly busy the staff were attentive & courteous & food fresh, piping hot & tasty. We had read the previous review & can only assume there was an off night somehow as our experience was very good.

Having a fantastic Chinese Meal

AVOID BAMBOO LEAF , Eat as much as you 'like' yes, but food is of such a very LOW QUALITY, (maybe old or re-cooked leftovers), that you can't eat much so dissappointing for the price which varies with weekday. Price per head on Sat.August.2022 was £23.90. NOT AN OPEN BUFFET, you pick ('lucky dip'), blindly from a well worn menu, fast waitresses take your orders but cooking/delivery times vary. Spare Ribs are a disgrace, even my dog wouldn't eat them. My wife ate virtually nothing, same price. If you do go there, order lots of dishes and eat only your 'lucky' selections. Beware the POOR QUALITY RICE and the SPECIAL, not really edible. Chicken & Sweetcorn was my only lucky dip. But next night I had really explosive tummy. You have been warned. M.

Yous pay £20 ish and eat till you burst, didn’t do the burst bit, might of messed up the deco, mind you it could do with an update, food very good, staff very pleasant, can be very economical as long as you’re not thirsty.

Worse Chinese ever do not book.23 pounds for frozen starters dry duck everything salty. Prawns was more boiled than sty fry.no taste what's so ever. Ribs was frozen

Went here last Saturday for a friend's birthday and while the quality of the food and most of the staff, especially the young chap was great. There was one lady who seemed less than pleased to serve us and had quite a wait on our main due to a few had ordered the dish at the same time, our drinks which had been paid for was stuck on the bill of our friend who bday it was and the potion of the main seemed to be lacking and the other table of our party seemed to get loads. Many of us had been looking forward to coming and the meal but was disappointed as we felt the price didn't really fully match the experience. Won't be coming back but credit is due where it didn't disappoint.

An absolutely fantastic meal out with family, a set price for adults and children, and the choices are numerous. Unlike a buffet where everything is layed out in a room which goes dry overtime, as it sits under heat lamps. Everything is made fresh and brought out on small plates, the options we had tasted great, was hot, and didn't leave you feeling hungry an hour later. Plus a great seafood selection including squid, muscles, king prawn and cod! Staff were all very friendly and managed to cope with a full table asking for different things.

First visit here last week. Very relaxing and nice place. All you can eat, you order off menu and then they cook it. Absolutely lovely food. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back here again. Much better food than days and much more relaxed.

Friendly and attentive staff. However the food isn’t the best. The first tale tale sign were the bowls of prawn crackers, each bowl was stale and seemed to be left overs from last nights batch cooking. Our starters just seemed over fried and lacking any flavour. The batter seemed stale for dishes that were cooked fresh. Our mains seemed to have frozen broccoli that seemed past there best. Shame as I came to this restaurant based on the reviews and now I feel I’ve wasted nearly £80 on a below average night out for the family and I. Only reason I’ve given two stars is because of the service

A good little sit down restaurant which is reasonably priced. Staff all brilliant and polite. Felt clean and tidy and was plesently surprised.

We visited here a couple of weeks ago. Omg, the food was delicious and all the staff were so friendly. Definitely recommend a visit to here. Will be back soon. X

We really fancied a Chinese meal out and found this and booked last minute. When we arrived they seated us in the room near the back which wasnt too pleasant if I'm honest, needs updating and a good tidy-up. The lad serving us was pleasant and helpful and the service throughout the evening was spot on. I feel the all you can eat was fantastic, you order appetisers first there is a great choice and comes out all freshly cooked. Soup next, I didn't have this but my husband said it tasted like oxo! Then you have duck and pancakes, really delicious and you get a good amount followed by mains which were tasty, full of flavour and just the right amount. I would definitely come back for the food as I think it's great value and I'm not sure there is anywhere else like this around, a good find!

Had dinner with my family here last night. Food was delicious and was in perfectly sized portions so you could try a little bit of everything. Being a sit down buffet, there was a pause between servings which gave our stomachs the right amount of time to rest before eating again, this way we left without that typical stodgy feeling you get from a buffet. There was an incident where other tables were refusing to pay and the customers hurled physical and verbal abuse at the staff. This was a horrible sight but the staff remained professional and defused the situation as quickly as possible. I would definitely eat here again and would urge others to do so too to support this wonderful local business!

The food was amazing, we had so much off the menu, everything was cooked really well and was tasty. The service was great, my only critique is the wine is ridiculously priced !, £20 for a bottle of cheap white pinot that looked like it came in a multi box from abroad somewhere.

Firstly, this restaurant is in Poole not Bournemouth! The place is a bit tired and old fashioned but the food more than makes up for it. Fresh and very tasty. Far far better than any local takeaway! It was my first time going but definitely won't be my last!

Delicious, freshly cooked. Great service. Fair price. Clean and tidy. All dishes we ordered were amazing. It was great to try lots of dishes and sample a little each.
