Excellent food, value for money

Have been ordering from here for many years, always been satisfied with previous orders Standards have gone down with quality and taste of food, Called to point out in a polite manner that meal was not satisfactory, to be interrogated and informed nothing had changed in the kitchen Very disappointed with food and attitude towards a customer that was raising concern. Sorry Joy Hing but you are just not what you were!!!

the food use to be amazing. its gone downhill. im guessing they have lost a chef or something, the person on the counter spends all her time in the kitchen ignoring the customers. if u want to order i susgest you call, as that was the only time she bothered to come out and check what was going on. i always order the house special chow mein. it used to be pretty special, packed full of meats and seafood.. last time it had one bit of pork, one slice of beef and 2 small prawns.. total wrip off. I'll try again in a month or 2 but definitely put off for a while. it went from a solid 8/10 to a meh 4/10. the only reason I'd give it a second chance is because its close and can do better when they are on form.

The only thing I really need to say here is 'I've been ordering take out from Joy Hing for the past 20 years' So with the in mind either my family, friends and I have really poor taste in Chinese food or this place is just perfection every time 👍🏻😁 The staff are amazing, it's reasonable priced, the only negative if you want one, they don't deliver but as you can see that's not stopped me from ordering there 👏🏻

Although the food is great and the staff lovely. I do wish they would update the website opening times if they're opening late or not at all. This has happened yet again. Its irritating and people don't have time to be driving to a takeawY that isn't open.

Food is absolutely banging and fast.

Never really used this place before as they don't offer delivery but thought I'd pop in as others in the area are very inconsistent and what I can say is that it is certainly the best around. From now one, I will be driving up and collecting, the service was good and the food excellent, you could tell it was all freshly prepared and cooked well.

This Chinese takeaway is great. The food is really tasty, generous portions and very reasonably priced.

Having ordered from the well-rated places on the delivery apps I thought I’d do the old fashioned thing of popping to a takeaway not listed on any of them (that I know of) and ordering from here in-premises. I would say by a small margin it’s probably the best Chinese food I’ve had in Bournemouth (yet). Definitely the best chow mein. A little bit cheaper as well but that’s to be expected when you’re not getting it delivered. Still hoping to find a place that really wows me as I have in other towns/cities I have lived in previously. But for now this does nicely. Service was friendly too!

Absolutely disgusting. Went here tonight 22/06/23. Looked at menu online and decided what we wanted. When arriving at the shop they charged £12.30 over the online price! Even had the nerve to circle (wrongly) prices in menu. Despite this I thought I would give it a try. And sadly very disappointed. I have to day this is the worst Chinese I have ever tried. To end this review screen shots of online menu/prices taken and will be forwarded to trading Standards. If you value your money do not waste it here.

Amazing food here. Great service, quality and affordable. We got egg fried rice and satay chicken main and crispy squid and it was delicious.

I'll start by saying that the food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly. The only thing you should be aware of about this place is that it is a 'get what you pay for' place. The prices are the lowest in the area, but it comes at a cost. If you want big juicy shrimp or beef in your food, this is not the place for you. You will need to spend more money. However if you want cheap and cheerful, this place is great, hence the 5 stars I give it.

Tasty food (chow mein, black bean chicken, spring rolls), friendly service, good social distancing and clean/hygienic inside.

Cannot fault, food is great, not greasy and when they say it will be ready in 20 minutes, its ready. We ordered chicken chow mein, chicken balls, shredded beef, egg fried rice, special fried rice, spring rolls, chips, prawn toast and vegetable curry which came to a total of just over £30. Cannot complain at the amount we had for that price.

The only Chinese takeaway food we use since first trying a few years back. Food is usually able to be collected in just 15-20mins from order, it's always hot and always tastes great. Don't let the lack of delivery put you off, the prices are more reasonable than most others and it's worth the little extra effort!

If we fancy a Chinese this is the only place we will go locally, they dont deliver so you must collect but it is worth it, the food is fantastic quality and we have never had a bad meal from there, I highly recommend the shredded beef. Always throw in fortune cookies and prawn crackers as part of your meal. Last order was for 15 of us and theyt handled the order no problem.

Good food but getting through on the phone can be difficult and seems like opening times are commonly incorrect. If you catch it open it is lovely though and staff are polite.

Customer Service Was Amazing! They didnt seem to busy, The lovely lady working behind the counter let us change the carrots to bean sprouts that would accompany the chilli beef that we had on order which was very kind. We haven’t been to many Chinese takeaways where they would be so courteous to do that. The Chilli Beef With Beansprouts Was Bangin! The Other Half Of The Chicken Fried Rice Is Waiting In The Fridge For Me! But... Unfortunately, we found some sort of cartilage or bone in one of the sweet and sour pork balls.I can understand a bit of overcooked gristle but it was sharp and it just looked like cartilidge to me. I understand it was a silly mistake of not checking the pork for bones. Before Cutting - Portioning - Battering. I didn’t check the menu to see if it says it may contain bones, if it doesn’t have that in small print I’d strongly suggest you get a new menu printed with that on to cover yourself for faults before the next EHO comes to review your HACCP. It’s a struggle to write this review because I’ve used this place many times and the customer service and food previous has been spot on. I am still going to continue using your services. Sadly I will have to be more cautious when ordering. Mistakes Happen.

Good food, large portions, very nice service

We only get Chinese from here. Always fresh and always tasty. I have not had a bad Chinese from them. Plus they make my noodles extra spicy for me. Our friends also only get from here. Wouldn't go anywhere else..

Long wait for counter service.They had run out of duck; Sat evening 7:00pm, chicken ginger spring onion loads of chicken but asked for mild due to recent surgery and this blew your head off.Crispy seaweed lacked flavour; mysterious brown powder missing and not compensated by whack loads of sugar. Prawns with cashew nuts gorgeous the highlight of the meal.Fresh, loads of prawns generous size, delicious sauce. Prawn balls greasy.Not sure about return

Sólo recientemente he probado Hing Joy aunque viva a la vuelta de la esquina. Para llevar esta fue una gran sorpresa, ya que aunque parece estándar, es bueno es de excelente calidad, muy sabroso y con buena relación calidad-precio. Vale la pena probarlo para ver si le gusta. Recomiendo encarecidamente.

Been coming here for years and has always been consistently good, although it is generally typical takeaway grub which might not be of the highest standard for a lot of people, it's always our top choice of Chinese takeaway and would recommend it.

This is just one of many bog standard Chinese take aways that doesnt provide anything fresh,tasty or delicious. I just wish there were more places that sold authentic Chinese cuisine.
