Night Star in Glasgow City

Got a fish supper from this wee gem tonight & it's without doubt the nicest I've ever had! So fresh, huge & batter nice n crispy. Will definitely be back.

Best chippy I’ve been to would not go to another one! Also very convinent as only down the hill from me!

Well where to start. Me and Husband have lived in Cambuslang all of our lives and have always had a taste for the finer things in life. My friend had informed of this place and we decided to give it a go. from the outside the place doesn't look much but as we entered and our waiter seated us in the VIP section I could tell that the interior was extremely classy and evoked a melancholy of my time on the italian coast. I ordered the "Speciale Fish Supre" and my Husband ordered the "Rolle de la Chip" both meals were esquisitly prepared and both me and my spouse agreed it was the finest dining experience money could buy. he actually reproposed because of how good his roll was. Thank you night star for putting the spark back into my marriage.

Phoned & ordered before the deliveries started, I didn't mind waiting for it. It was worth the wait! A cheese pizza, fresh out the oven, was absolutely delicious, will definitely order it again. I find the Night Star better than bennys, the food is nicer, warmer & deliveries don't take as long! Staff are friendlier too

We visit Cambuslang every other year. The Night Star is a must on our list. Donato and his family serve the best fish and chips that we have found in the Glasgow area. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the service is exceptional. The fish and chips are battered to perfection. The fish is always fresh and flaky, never oily. The chips are seasoned well and always served hot and never oily. This take away is fabulous!!!!!

Just a takeaway, and it's a little expensive, but the fish are spectacular. Pay a little extra for the special fish - it's worth it!

For me this is The benchmark for all chippies and it's a tough standard to match. Fish suppers here are just magic, the chips are tasty, not greasy, the batter is more like tempura batter, so light and thin and crispy and the fish is always fresh and delicious. I've heard many folk travel from neighbouring towns to come to the Star, no wonder. Good work guys!

£4.00 for a sausage supper and the same again for large chips and gravy - too expensive for the quantity and quality offered.
