Nic's Nyc Deli & Donuts in Glasgow City

Came in for brunch with my bf. The food was wonderful. Love this place. Going to make it a new regular haunt when I'm in town.

Absolutely fantastic food, service and whole vibe! Loved the vegan Oreo milkshake, vegan Vietnamese chicken twerker and carrot cake! Can’t wait to come back. Xx

We were invited out by our daughter and grandson for lunch but it had to be somewhere that we had never been to before. She spent some time scrolling on her phone and eventually decided that we would try this one. It is not a large place but the portions of each of our choices were! The staff were very accomodating and friendly and our orders came in quick order from when they were given. If I did not know better I would have thought I was in New York and not Byres Road. Not only were the dishes plentiful but they were delicious as well. For what we experienced the cost was fair and as such we also took away doughnuts 🍩 from a ridiculously large choice available. I would certainly recommend anyone who is in Glasgows West End to take a trip up to the top of Byres Road and try this Deli, you will not be disappointed! Thanks guys, hope to be back again sometime. We ended up here after not wanting to queue a different lunch spot, so were not expecting too much. I must say, their sandwiches are SO good, much better than what I was expecting! There was so much selection (loads of sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, wraps, cakes, crepes, doughnuts, soup…) and it all sounded delicious. Would go back daily if I lived close! Crepes and doughnuts were yummy too

Moved to the area, looked for a good sandwich place, went to the top one I could find, now I can't stop going The staff are super attentive with my peanut allergy, the sandwiches are absolutely massive and every one I've tried so far has been flawless. Spending 8 quid for a sandwich isn't necessarily ideal though. Very much west end prices

My wife and I took the lunch menu with the sandwich, soup and donut. She had the Classic Club and I had the Triple Bypass and we both took the lentil soup. Service was very fast and all the staff very friendly, soup was delicious and the sandwiches were sublime. We had to take the donuts to go because we were full 😅 A very good experience for two Belgian tourists who just happened to pass by and had a craving for donuts.

I'm a regular here, the food is very nice (soups/baked potatoes/fillings etc) Service can be a hit or miss, I suppose if the owner/management are there or not. This sounds ageist but if the waitresses are the more permanent older ones then they just dump the food on the table and leave you to it, - too busy yapping away! sometimes you have to ask for drinks more than once, but if its the younger ones (perhaps students) serving then you ;ll be fine. However, I would definitely recommend this place.

Best sandwiches in Glasgow, the Smoking Cuban is my weapon of choice but the whole menu is fantastic.

Horrible experience. Waitress slammed our food onto the table. Not even looking at us, offering cutlery etc. Made us feel incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Everyone has bad days. Don't take it out on your customers. Also, once we were finished we felt very rushed out the door. We've been coming here for years and will definitely not be back

Had a quick Glasgow trip to visit a friend who loves this restaurant and we ordered a few times and the sandwiches were DELICIOUS. Hit the spot, great value, quick delivery. 100% will order again when I'm back in Glasgow.

Avoid if single diner and have a dog. Used to love this place but will never be back

Best donuts in the world here. Great variety of flavours. I buy birthday donuts from here and they are so special, I cannot recommend enough. The effort the owner goes to, to make them unique is unbelievable, I really appreciate it. Not tried other food from here, but everything looks fresh and nice. Friendly service as well, great communication with orders. Love it!!!

What beautiful valentines donuts I got, so easily ordered, when I went in to collect them, the staff and place was sop nice, I ended up having lunch, highly recommend this place.

Lovely welcome from, I guess, the owner, really tasty and different food. We had the Triple Bypass and Heart Attack pressed sandwiches, both packed full, and coffees and left very satisfied, along of course with a box of doughnuts. We'll definitely be back!

Had the Vietnamese chicken sandwich which had so much flavour and was sooo worth the money. The donut selection is so unique and to die forrrr! Great vegan options & good coffee.

I had just driven from the Scottish Borders and went into this deli with my daughter. I ordered coffees and donuts and after I paid for them I was told we could not sit in as they were closing! I wish thy had told me that beforehand! I asked if I could use the toilet and when I did there was no toilet roll!! I feel annoyed at this visit to the deli and did not bother to say anything to the 2 young women working there as they seemed to be rather distracted. I just felt let down by this whole experience in the deli. 😥

Great wee place - not many vegan options on the menu, but the staff were really keen to make up a vegan crepe mix from fresh and had various ingredients (vegan chicken/cheese, lots of veg, sauces) to hand to mix-and-match for me. It was really tasty, cheers! (Saturday 17th, 14:30)

Their big selling point seems to be the donuts, but for me the sandwiches are the highlight. Special mention for the LA Club Sandwich which comes with Chicken, bacon, avocado, salad and dijon mustard. Outstanding.

Top notch, 3 different orders all were outstanding.

I didn’t really have much involvement in the ordering or eating of the food, but my wife saved me two Doughnuts for when I returned from the park with my son. I had one Biscoff themed and one Kinder Bueno flavoured Doughnut - both were brilliant and full of flavour! The perfect accompaniment to a cup of Tea. In comparison to Krispy Kreme’s, i’d have to say that Nic’s just pips them - taking into account cost, taste and variety.

Good donuts in Glasgow!unique ones you wont get any where else ,soft and fresh. Staff were friendly too. On a second visit my donuts weren’t as nice though-still worth a try if you are a donut lover though.

Unreasonably prices for cheap made donuts. Thought will be justified against the price, so wrong. Left with a bad aftertaste, they look amazing but taste just awful.

called in here for a coffee - staff are bright, fast, cheerful and the food looked and smelled great - ramen, spicy noodles, fresh soup, ice cream,smoothie and an impressive range of bun fillings! Highly recommended if your fed up with Costa and Nero chains cold coffee and slow service ... highly recommended for the west end weary shopper

Felt under pressure ordering my food. Girl with blonde hair. Other girl was very pleasant. Maybe slow down a bit when asking customers what they would like. Also can't hear your questions when they are not facing you.

Had lunch here today and within 20 minutes of finishing my lunch had to go to the toilet on the premises with extreme stomach upset and pain. Disappointing !!!

Just picked up breakfast/brunch for my partner and I. Very predictable sandwich menu, with pastrami and chicken breast on almost everything, with donuts being just okay. I have been living on Byres Road for over a year now. The coffee from this place has to be the worst I've had on this street; burnt milk, cup not filled to the top, foam had huge bubbles instead of fine, whisked bubbles, chocolate powder just sloppily showered on top and an unavoidable taste of soap. After also burning my tongue from how hot it was, I threw it out and walked to Ronzio for a good cup. Food's just okay, do not try their coffee!

I had the Heart Stopper with focaccia bread. The bread was very god and recently made. The sandwich had plenty of slow cooked bbq pork with delicious coleslaw. Service superb! The restaurant had so much food to offer, so it was hard to choose the "right" one. Even tho this place is famous for their doughnuts, I will definitiely be back for more sandwich.

Stumbled across this coffee shop with doughnuts. Too many flavours to choose from! Ordered the snowball and reeses peanut cup. Gingernut matcha with oat milk and americano. They also do hot food such as jacket potatoes, wraps, sandwiches and hot dogs. There are also crepes, ice cream and milkshakes. Nice little place to sit down for a bite to eat.

The sandwich was one of the best I have ever had and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back to try some of the others.

Amazing little place to eat if you’re around the Botanics! The most delicious savoury crepes we’ve had! Highly recommend the caramel apple donut and the freshly made smoothies!

I’m not just being picky but I’ve just had the worst food I can remember eating. I deliberately traveled over to get what I hoped was a good hotdog. Not sure if this place has changed hands or just dropped their standard or fake reviews but as of now 24/07/22 it’s terrible.

My sister and I stopped in for lunch and we’re able to quickly get some great sandwiches and smoothies and even got some donuts to take with us. Everyone there worked quickly and efficiently to make sure all customers were taken care of, too

Fantastic gem in Glasgow’s West End. Great staff, great service and great food. Nachos, salads, baked potatoes, crepes with everything, donuts - absolutely faultless & delivered with a smile. Great coffee too. We dined with our three kids who were treated really well. We’ve visited before and will visit again. First class deli / diner that deserves to do well.

I love their donuts but I must say that as a crepe enthusiast, their crêpes were pretty disappointing (chewy). I’d still come back but just not for the crêpes!

Simple stuff but with quality and great staff. Cool drinks and niche food. Mexican cola which is a bonus. I got a Glesga dog and a Nutty Professor crepe and it was fantastic

Fantastic service. Very kind and friendly, and also the food came quick too! Great interior decor. Had a BLT bagel which was delicious and a nice coffee as well. Toilets were good, one washroom, and very clean/well stocked. Really great time was had.

Great selection of lunch and desert food. I've had the doughnuts a few times and they've never disappointed. Would definitely recommend the milkshakes, either vegan or none vegan. Friendly and efficient service too.

Really warm welcome and atmosphere and huge sandwiches with a variety of filings and all freshly prepared. I would thoroughly recommend this after a meandering walk around the botanical gardens.

It may have been my 2nd time there, but really missed going there after 1st time due to lockdown. Food is fantastic & they do the most amazing doughnuts, which you can order through their Facebook page. They do vegetarian food & vegan as well. Food varies between salads, nachos, baked potatoes and different types of bread like baguettes, focaccia etc

Ordered a birthday box of donuts for my daughter’s 16th. They were so delicious and pretty ❤️ My husband said they were best donuts he has ever eaten! I ordered the Cuban sandwich. My first time trying such. Wow. A symphony of flavours, the ham with just the right amount of saltiness, the turkey nice and moist, the Swiss cheese rests easy on the pallet also. Their is a playful discord between the pickle and the cranberry sauce which culminates in deep chutney tanginess. A solid effort. 9/10 God bless you
