Newquay Conservative Club in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Dog roaming around made me nervous did get hold of the lead when we asked but was worrying with children being around keep you lead in your hand as the dog did growl at someone. Lady behind the bar very friendly

Popped in on a Monday afternoon.Such a friendly place.The barman.(sorry can’t remember his name.)was really friendly.The locals were really chatty.one chap Keith knew all the eating places we found somewere on his recommendation.

We was recommended to go here.But we didn't make it. But it is on stop for when we are there in March. Good it was inviting good games in there. People have said to give it a try so we will. So that's all I can at until we go.

Eat here weekly and can't fault it. Steve and Linda couldn't be more welcoming and obliging. Likes and dislikes are always remembered and the food is great. A large selection of specials besides the varied menu and the prices are more than reasonable. You won't get better value anywhere else in Newquay. Sass behind the bar is always friendly.

We visited twice with relatives. The Sunday lunch was particularly good value for money. The drinks were amazingly cheap too.

The Tories are on the run in Newquay. The Con artists Club has gone. In its place is The Cheltenham Club (members)

This is the second time we have had a Sunday lunch here and we would not go anywhere else .It is amazing value and really lovely .We had soup and a warm bread roll to start .I had the lamb and my husband had the beef .We also had a sweet each .All this for £6 .95 each .Steve is really nice and will go out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and i believe his wife does the cooking which is always lovely .It was so nice we called again Friday night for yet another very enjoyable meal . .We would definately recommend to anyone .

Do not be put off by Conservative Club (now re-named Cheltenham Club), and you do not need to be a member. Full menu, with roasts, home made pies, gammon steak, curry etc 4.95, add dessert for additional 2.00. Lighter snacks/sandwiches also available. Meals are excellent and well presented. If in Newquay you will not regret dining here.

worth a look only saw from outside as closed when we went there. in a nice location....beach is not far away.......local restaurants available within short walk car park nearby.

This is the place to go for myself and my wife and our black Labrador retriever for great food [excellent sized portions] and relaxation. Lovely friendly atmosphere with top class food and excellent service by Steve. Food expertly cooked by lady in kitchen also. Super Friday fish and chips and very very good 3 course Sunday roast menu options. Friendly bar staff and great friendly atmosphere that makes you feel very welcome. Michelin star quality food, drink and atmosphere at reasonable prices in this clean well maintained venue. Well done to all concerned and we will see you next year.

Pooped in for a quick drink and lunch . amazing value ,very fresh and served pipping hot . staff friendly and helpful a very varied specials board with the usual main menu.excellent value for money and will return when in area .

We had Sunday Lunch here last week which was really lovely .Three courses for £6.99.is such good value.We had soup to start ,roast beef dinner and toffee cheesecake for dessert.Our meal was so nice we went back Friday night and had the meat & potato pie which was also lovely and a dessert again for £6.99.Well worth a visit .

When ever we are in Newquay on a Sunday, we always have lunch here, amazing value at £6.99 for a three course meal. Always a friendly atmosphere, service fantastic, Steve -Top Man. Would recommend to anyone.

We attended a wedding reception here and all i can say is amazing home cooked food, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing home made food. Yes it's so good i said it twice. Thanks to Shane and Sarah for the invite :-).

The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday lunch times., With a large choice of dishes.or snacks if required.Open on a Saturday Evening on Entertainment venues.Bookings are taken for Saturday Evenings. 3 course Sunday Roast, for £7 00. The quality of the food we had here was great the homemade chicken & ham pie with fresh vegetables was very tasty as was the welcome we received. We were in Newquay on holiday and had been told by friends in Cardiff that the food here was very good and we were not disappointed.If you are down there on holiday - you can get a holiday membership for the clubOverall good wholesome freshly cooked grub which worked for us

Tucked-away, but the FOOD is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT... The prices of both food & drink are amazingly cheaper than anywhere else in town..!! My favorite is Steve's 3-course fabulous Sunday Lunch... Over the years, friend's and I, have never been served 1-item on our plate that doesn't come up-to the same standard (Consistently Excellent). *** Bright - Clean - Friendly - welcomes - Locals - Visitors + well behaved Dogs. Can't beat it!

this is a lovely club. You can have a meal there on dinnertimes andthe sunday lunch is excellent value. Drinks are cheapest in thearea. Will visit again.

You have a nice sized meal fresh and full of taste . Relaxed friendly people all around you . It's on one level , so no stairs to climb . Right in the town centre .

Once again a friends and I had a FABULOUS 3-Course Sunday Roast at Newquay Conservative Club... Beautiful home cooked food for under £7. beat that!! Only just realized Steve has a 5 Star National Food Hygiene Rating, too. Well done Steve & co'.

Served by Steve and his good lady, the prices cannot be argued with most mains a fiver or less, well worth the 50p day membership and as stated in a previous post thats hardly missed when you realise,how cheap the drinks are

I attended a Christmas Lunch at the Newquay conservative club as part of a group. The meal which was pre-ordered was stunning. Meat ,veg &trimmings freshly cooked with a choice of starter and dessert. The gentleman who served our meals was a charming polite and very efficient Irish man. we were a party of 12 ladies and we were all very impressed. ! The club itself is cosy and clean inside and was nicely decorated for the festive season. There was a good menu displayed for daily meals and the food being served to customers looked really good. We all wanted to join the club so impressed as we were but apparently you have to be nominated what a pity !

Good old Concervative Club, it should be used so much more. Maybe people think it's strictly members only? But it isn't, anyone can walk-in, locals & visitors alike... Drinks are so cheap, it's unbelievable. The food is fantastic, especially the roast dinners, a choice of 1 - 2, or 3-courses. 3-course for under £7.00 , and even less for a smaller dinner. You can't beat it!The Chef Steve & Co' are a wonder they really are... Their food is consistant, fresh & piping hot. An Ideal venue for many occassions, birthday, anniversary or Christmas party. Tucked away gem, such a shame it's not used by more by locals, they don't know what they're missing.Keep up the good work Steve.

I have visited this club for many years now. I cannot believe how many people are not using the place. In the evening only a few members in the club. Something is very wrong here. Its only 50p for day membership. You can get that back on the first drink. I am very sorry to see this place going down hill.
