Newhaven Connections Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

Great place for a cheap snack lunch. Clean, bright, friendly. Plenty of space to manage current covid regs and have made the most of their resources. A real community feel.

While searching for a little free library we arrived to this place at Newhaven Church. I was thirsty and in need of a loo stop and we walked in. This is a typical church cafeteria arranged by volunteers and providing a place to meet for the locals. There were kids' drawings up on the walls, notifications for events in the near days, people walking in and out doing their business, lovely homemade treats at the cafeteria and a tiny bookshelf. I enjoyed this moment amongst the local aunts and uncles who must have wondered who we were :)
