Wow what a jem of a cafe absolutely loved it service was polite and quick. Food was hot tasty and well presented. We will definitely be back in to try more of the menu

Been here before though a little while ago and was good then, same good stuff to come to while awaiting stuff to see in the town centre. Helpful menu and staff for ordering. Good selection of things to have here as well.

Breakfast is always good but I find the lunches superb and really good value. My top tip would be to try the Chicken Gyros, its a lovely plate of food.

Have called in early morning several times and always managed to get a seat. Good variety of food which is reasonably priced and excellent coffee.

I love it ! I ordered english breakfast and Ice coffee and it was very nice . The cakes are delicious as well. Definitely recommended. The stuff was very friendly. Try it out !

We had a nice English breakfast.

Just popped in for a tea and coffee. Didn't know what to expect as never visited before. The staff were friendly and helpful . A complementary little chocolate cake was served with our drinks. Would go there again if on the area.

Although cooked to order very unappetising all day breakfast. Poor quality sausage. Would have preferred one good quality to the two poor overcooked ones. Eggs overcooked and the small pot of tea could just squeeze out rwo cups of tea. All in all quite expensive for £10.

This cafe is excellent for a very reasonable cost meal - with a good selection of baked potatoes, toasted sandwiches, etc. There is plenty of seating available, the staff are friendly and the service is efficient. My baked potato was very generous and served with a good sized salad. When I'm in the area again wouldn't hesitate to return.

Went just for coffee but was given a free mini cupcake to go with it. Lovely!

Today was my niece's birthday who chose this delightful coffee house venue for a family breakfast gathering What a delight choice. It was no trouble as they helped us put two tables together to place gifts ready for the birthday girl. The meal everything perfect. Freshly squeezed delicious orange juice. Breakfast served promptly, nicely presented and piping hot. Coffee ... stupendous. The decor is most unusual and the artwork shows care when making their selections for such a lovely coffee shop tucked away in Newhaven. Well done and thank you.

Went after several years, due to llock down and ack of countryside views. Excellent service by the staff , food was beautifully cooked with plenty of choice and good value. Clean and cosy. Parking was a walk away. Would definitely recommend.

Newhaven Coffee Shop (now Coffee House) is a high street cafe at the top of Newhaven. It is friendly, quick, serves good coffee and snacks along with breakfasts, light lunches and so on. Its decor is unpretentious but well thought out and tidy, giving a comfortable and welcoming ambience. It's also pleasingly clean throughout.

I always try to review independent cafes. This one have me everything I needed. Good wifi, OK coffee, very good scrambled eggs on toast and a comfortable environment to work from while my car was at the garage. Recommend if in the area!

Nice location especially if you have arrived in the UK by ferry from France. My husband and I decided not to have breakfast on the boat and go local once we landed in the UK. We chose Newhaven Coffee Cafe as it had high ratings. It was very expensive for the low quality of food they give you. It was absolutely terrible. How can toast be bad? It was tasteless as well as the sausage which had so much filler. Coffee was horrible too. Will never go there again.

I was in town with work, and was hungry. Looked for a local cafe, and here I was. I had a brunch breakfast that was delicious ! Price was more than accessible and the local is looking the part. Do I recommend eating here ? YES ! If you're in the area give it a try, you will like it.

The food and coffee here is great, the person who runs it is very friendly and makes it a welcoming place to visit. I recommend getting a bag of their coffee beans/grounds to take away it's very good value.

All these years and I didn't know it was there. Coffee is good, eggs benedict with bacon is absolutely fantastic. I now look for excuses to go to Newhaven.

Delicious breakfast - great value for money and service was great. Lovely touch with their own coffee roaster and grinder. As well as recent visit we have also had takeaway breakfast sandwiches which are amazing

Been a few times now, first rate coffee and the food is ok. Had a couple of panini, fist visit was better. Some seating outside which is nice. Egg on toast was ok too.

Popped in here for breakfast. Coffee was lovely but food not good at all, ordered vegi breakfast for the spinach so decided to go for poached eggs, poached eggs were hard, not even a tiny bit of runny yolk. Queried why there was no spinach, to be told "we haven't got any" didn't bother asking about the hash brown. 🤔

Found this hidden gem of a place whilst using the Eat Out-Help Out Scheme to explore new venues. Lovely atmospheric decor and intimate seating arrangement. Friendly staff, terrific value (even if purchased at full price) with the food presented in a stylish and enticing manner. No skimping on the quality of ingredients or perfection of the cooking - the bacon and mozzarella panini is to die for. We shall return many times!

Had an amazing Afternoon Tea for two delivered yesterday for VE Day. Very fresh, beautifully presented and plenty of it. Very much enjoyed by my husband and myself. Thank you.

First time ever eaten in here. Went as a family for breakfast. I had a tradition english breakfast. Very nice and hot. Mushrooms had a lovely taste not the usual fatty but cooked in butter. Place clean but only fault nothing to do with food, the chairs very cold to sit on and when its cold outside you really dont need to sit on cold metal chairs. Maybe put cushions on them. Will definately go back.

Food is good but the Parents of this place have made a big mistake in making it a KIDS PLAYGROUND! buggies and Mums everywhere, no peace any more to chill and work, unfortunately they have targeted only one market, KIDS!!! Not everyone wants them around, and then the wife walks in with a screaming baby, plus two very demanding children, we left, wont be returning, by the way, we are in our 30's, Husband & Wife with a Family

I love this coffee shop. It's miles from where I live but I ll happily make the journey. It's warm and comfortable. So homely and welcoming. The choice is huge and the service and welcome is first rate. Just spent a morning with a friend here and it flew by. Already looking forward to when I can visit again. A must

A big group of us came in today and all had a main meal. All fantastic, food high quality,Service was perfect. Sara and her team were very busy and still managed to deliver everything to a high standard and with a smile. would reccomend the king size breakfast for hungry diners will certainly keep you full up for the rest of the day !!!

nice place in Newhaven - not an oxymoron as many might think. very refined cafe with coffee house pretensions. It could have been an ice cream parlour in the 1950's.

Wandering around Newhaven and came across this excellent coffee shop. The staff very friendly and attentive. Take orders at the table, varied menu, paninis etc, but I had coffee and homemade cake. A good selection on the day I went, Thursday. Fairly busy and seemed popular with locals also, as I chatted with one. Worth a visit, good coffee.

I am a usual at this establishment: from the new layout inside to the patio area, Patrick and staff have gradually and thoughtfully improved the place since taking over: they take great pride in it and always looking to make the next change. The kitchen makes both hot and cold food: from a fully customisable full English to a wide choice of pastries and homemade cakes and pastries. Good quality ingredients. Coffee is good too. On a high street that can can feel a little neglected in places this café does more than it's fair share to make it a destination. Bravo!

Nice little coffee shop in Newhaven High Street does breakfasts Snacks & coffees. The cook is named Dionne. Her omelettes are legendary..

Met with a friend to have lunch. Good selection of tables and the service is efficient. I had a vegetarian panini and I was surprised to find it came with salad and chips. Very tasty panini - good selection of vegetables. My friend had a toasted sandwich which she enjoyed. There are some good value deals for meals and drinks. Once we had ordered we were able to spend time and relax. If I am in the area again would definitely return.

This is a nice cafe, but I found the menu a little more expensive than other similar places. There is a loyal customer base, which is a good advert for any cafe.

Newhaven Coffee House is nice. It has nice decor and clean lavatories. The personnel are polite and service is excellent. For me the bacon sandwich had too much bread (thick sliced) and too little bacon (well, it might have been just right with thinner sliced bread).

Popped into Newhaven Coffee House, what a surprise, coffee excellent, all cakes homemade daily. Will definitely try lunch next time.
