New Village Spice Takeaway in South Lanarkshire

Glad this wee shop has opened up again, new chef and the food is amazing. Big portions and the kebab meat is the best I’ve had in years, not the usual cheap bland stuff, this is lovely and spicy and not as fatty. I’m going to work my way through the full menu!

Excellent curries and really nice flavoured tikka not the generic salty curries you get now new owner is proper chef highly recommend here if you tried it with previous owners trust me its massively improved

Since this takeaway has been taken over recently, new staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have bought from here a few times already as well as delivery. When food arrived it was piping hot, very fast delivery. Food tastes amazing wont be going anywhere else. Chicken is so tender and perfectly cooked. Nan bread was best I've had and the Pizza is phenomenal as well. Definitely would go here if you havent already. Yum.

Best takeaway about!!! Korma is soo good and creamy, nanbread is done exactly the way you ask for it (crispy or soft) tastes amazing and i defo wont be going anywhere else. 😋 100% recommend!

I'm a repeat customer who has spent alot of money on food from here because it honestly is 1 of the best in Scotland for a curry. My last order I refused because my pizzas and kebabs had been sitting in the drivers car for 40mins before he finally showed up. I phoned the shop to say order was cancelled and the lady apologied over and over and said the manager would phone me back to sort something out because we are a loyal customer. Normally the customer service from here is 10/10 and faultless but I'm still waiting on my phone call and I'm actually disappointed because I won't order from here again after being snubbed. Orders are usually £40 plus and left excellent reviews on Just Eat everytime but it is what it is. My partner is a chef and in the current climate retaining good paying customers is a priority for any business so its baffling yet massively disappointing that a simple phone call could not be made. I won't be ordering again but honestly don't let my bad review put you off because the quality of food from here is amazing. It never disappoints. I just hope you don't have the rare bad experience and got ignored like myself. Sorry guys but I always left great reviews every order made but ignoring loyal customers is a big no no in hospitality and catering, especially just now.

I was speaking with my elderly neighbor who has been quarantined since the very start, she also broke her hip just before lockdown and has been house bound for a year. She would order herself a burger meal from Village Spice, she loves your burgers. The staff have been amazing with her; going above and beyond constantly. My neighbor appreciates all the little chats with everyone from the person taking the order to the driver. On Christmas day the lovely lady from Village Spice dropped by with a Christmas dinner and a wee socially distanced gab. It really did make her day and year with your thoughtfulness and kind gesture. It's so nice to see such genuinely good people, thank you for everything.

This places food is great hard d to get a proper traditional tasting curry these days but this place does. There Egyptian kebeb is on point as well. This place is well worth a visit.
