New Taste in Amber Valley

Took over 2 hours to deliver, kept saying it was on route and will be 10 minutes, finally showed stone cold, when I rang was told ‘don’t know why you’re talking to me I didn’t deliver it’ and ‘go talk to just eat’. £40 order inedible going straight in the bin, don’t waste your time or money.

Ordered at 6.50 told it would be 30/45 minutes and still no food at 8.10 phoned to ask they tell us he left 15 minutes ago and won’t be long, phoned again at 8.30 to be told he’s had to take another order because he couldn’t find our address 😅. Food arrives at 8.45 COLD and not an even what we ordered! phoned again to tell them we want our money and the driver to collect the food (and his just eat bag that he left at our front door😂) very rude young girl on the phone being cheeky lying telling us she packed the food and knows it’s right! Never in my life experienced something so bad. Disgusting!

Ordered at 7.50.and food arrived at 10.10. Salt and chilli chicken wasn't a full portion and the prawn toast was way over cooked. We've ordered from here for years and after the last 3 deliveries taking around 2 hours, tonight was the last time. You ring up to ask where it is and get fobbed off. We didnt even have a big order. Avoid.

Ordered at 7.20, waiting over an hour so we call up and ask where it is, order ticket was never printed by take away assistant, she told us food can be cooked up and delivered in 15 minutes. Another hour later and it’s still not arrived so we called again to be told the driver left 20 minutes ago. Driver said the food had only been in the car for 10 minutes so seemed the take away was making excuses and just forgot about our order. It’s a shame as we’ve ordered from new taste quite a lot and the delivery service has just gotten worse over time. Ended up being nearly 3 hours since we ordered until we ate. Asked if we could get partial refund and was told “she’ll get back to us on that” won’t be ordering again unfortunately

Delivery very slow and never arrives when quoted.

Two out of five orders haven’t arrived. Call up and you’re lucky to get an answer. When the phone does arrive it’s stone cold. Avoid at all costs. Not worth it.

Gave up on delivery after 1 hour 20 on a Monday night.. Traffic? Honestly.. better to remove the delivery option and ensure food is collected & paid for..

Ordered at half six, said 40 mins for delivery. An hour and a half later, still no food. Called to be told there’s no delivery driver. Tell me that when I order!

Good food and service under new management

Ordered food 2 and a half hours ago never turned up, had to order from somewhere else. Would leave 0 stars if possible.

Took over 2 hours to arrive. Very poor service, did nothing to compensate. Don't use.

Great food, lovely staff and service

Food never arrived! Ordered and over 2 hours later and 2 phone calls to the place we ended up cancelling the order with 2 young kids waiting for their tea. We were told our food was ready and waiting for a driver and an hour later still no food, believe that our food was not ready at all and we were lied to on a busy night. Never again!!

Really quick , the food was amazing! You could tell it was fresh ! The veg was fresh and crunchy 😍 will definitely go back again

Ordered food at 6.37 told food would be delivered at 7.50 rang up 8.05 told food was just being wrapped but it didn't arrive till 9 then part of order was missing plus bag had ripped on delivery driver spilling food into other foods. Then to find part of meal missing rang back up to be told would take 45 to hour to deliver missed items. Refused this as not waiting till 10 to eat after everyone else has finished. Won't order from them again. Avoid them from now on..!!!

Ordered at 6:30 was told it would be delivered by 7:50. Its 8:40 and still no food. Not impressed at all! Won't be using again. Was told at 7:05 it was on the way. Finally arrived 2 hours after ordering and missed some of the order off to be told it would be an hour to get the missing food! Absolutely appalling. Avoid at all costs!

Ordered at 7pm last night through just eat app, was given a time of upto 90mins wait. Tried contacting several times but no answer, just eat app then updated us to 10.15pm... waited again then after contacting them got told 11pm... at 11.15pm they cancelled the order! Fuming! To late by then to cook or order from somewhere else!

I would have given this a higher rating but recently things have changed on the menu. The service is great and speedy delivery however the food seems to have dropped in quality a little. I used to use this takeaway all the time as my go to Chinese binge due to the flavour being amazing, but it seems a little bland now despite the price increasing. To elaborate I used to order an A10 meal which is a beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice. The sauce was thick and full of flavour from first to last bite. A couple of months ago I got a bit of a hankering for a Chinese and decided to order it again, for the first time in over a year, but was a little disappointed. The sauce was noticeably more watery and looked a lighter colour than it used to, and although the flavour was there it didn't have that same satisfaction of the one I'd had previous despite the increase in price. I don't know if it's a change in supplier or chef but it just wasn't the same. I'd like to give them a higher rating but the increase in price with the drop in quality makes it hard to do so. If the price had gone up but kept the same quality I wouldn't have minded. I'll try them again one day and hopefully they'll be back to how they were.

Had a fantastic meal from here hot and many extras.will definitely be coming back and lovely staff.

We don't have Chinese food often but we're very pleased with what we ordered. The crispy duck was great, a quarter would be more than enough for 2 people. The chicken balls are huge though the sauce was a little too sweet. Chow mein was lovely too. Our order came with lots of extras too, thank you for a lovely meal. Will be using again

Absolutely appalling called them at 18:15 and waited 2 hours for delivery rang them after an hour to be told it will be 20min 45 min later still waiting and when you ring them back all you get is sorry. Would not recommend anyone to use this Chinese unless you are collecting.

Been coming to new taste for a few years now and never disappoints. Friendly service and food is always piping hot and plenty of meat and seafood in the dishes .

I think this place as really gone down hill, not sure if it's under new management, the food quality is not what it use to be

Only ever use this take away. Great food. Reasonably priced. Have used delivery as well as collection. No problems with either

If you live in NG16 I would not recommend this place!! we ordered at 7:20pm and the food arrived at 9:05pm even though it's a 10min drive. Two delivery men who were intimidating and rude turned up. Food was stone cold and we were offered no refund because I paid online. when I warmed the food in the microwave the rice was the only thing that was actually okay. So disappointed :(
