Foo Lin in Amber Valley

Food was tastless and over cooked.... hard chick balls, hard chips, rice was stuck together from being heated in a microwave... found a chunk of plastic in my rice.. will not be ordering from here again!!

Zero food. When order didn’t turn up got told it wasn’t thier problem. Out of pocket by £30.

Ordered food and it never arrived. When ringing up was told not their problem. Out of pocket by £30. The staff were extremely rude. Would never go here unless you want to be robbed. I’d rather give £30 to charity

Been trying to find a good Chinese since moved to Selston and this is the one! Went for a banquet to feed us and it wasn't disappointing! Spare ribs was tasty.

We had a flyer through the door today, so thought we’d try this out. I have a sesame allergy so I just wanted to query their allergy menu, it’s really important and something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. I noticed on there that sesame prawn toast indicates there is no sesame at all. See photos. Playing devils advocate I asked about this and was told I can’t have it, which seems fair but my question was how can I know if sesame is in anything else if things aren’t labelled correctly. I don’t think the lady understood me so instead, I asked if anything else at all in the menu contains sesame and she had no idea, seemed quite frustrated about me asking these questions. So I guess if you don’t have allergies you’ll be fine but for anyone with allergies, this could be a real hazard for you. I’d hate to see a news story go viral down to something so simple. Its actually a legal requirement for food establishments to correctly label all allergy risks. Be careful 🙂

Not heard of this place until I received a takeaway menu through the post. Was looking forward to trying it until I realised how shockingly basic and limited the vegetarian menu was. No tofu dishes at all. Pretty bad in this day and age.

The delivery time yesterday was not good and kept getting delayed I first ordered my food at 7.45 but my food came just after 9 last night I was not happy and I always use just eat

The food was sloppy and had no flavour. Meat was chewy and didnt taste fresh. Ordered a can of pop which was put in with the hot food. Will not be ordering again from here

The app showed the food as being delivered but it wasn't, on contacting the restaurant the person was unhelpful and quite rude. When the food did finally arrive, whilst eating, a piece of what looked like wire wool was found in the food. Needless to say I will not be ordering again and I would not recommend

We are regular customers of this Chinese takeaway, and normally the food is not too bad. Last Friday I ordered Sweet and Sour King Prawn Balls . These were inedible, the batter was raw, apart from the outside, which was overcooked. Inside the ball there were shrimps, not King Prawns. We rang to explain, the meal was an unacceptable quality. The Chinese lady on the phone was very rude and accused my partner, saying that one of the reasons he could be complaining was because he was racist towards the Chinese. She said we would have to return the meal for her to see it, in other words, accusing us of being liars. We have decided that we will never use this takeaway again, so, as we were unable to return the meal the next day or the following day, it went in the bin, where it belonged. This complaint was never about getting our money back, more about making them aware that the quality of their food was not acceptable.

what used to be my favourite local now has gone way over worst my latest estimated delivery time was 8pm eventually my order arrived at 9.52pm and no explanation why so late the driver just commented on how it would make him stay late

King prawn sweet and sour was like a big sticky pancake with just 4 prawns in it! Very expensive and disappointing dish!

Absolutely ridiculous the food was freezing and taken 2 hours.

Tasty as usual. Special fried rice was missing the pork but at least there seemed to be extra beef and chicken to make up for it.

Food was ordered at 5.40pm and arrived at 7.45pm….chicken balls dried out and burnt. Prawn cracker gone soggy. This is the 3rd time ordering. First time was okay, second time late and rubbish, this third time also late and rubbish. Poor communication from the restaurant….when we rang after waiting 1.5hr to see where our order was, it was clear they hadn’t even started it! Never again will we be using this restaurant. Poor service in every way possible

Chips were black curry sauce missing and old rice all went in the bin will not be using foo lin again.

The flimsy polystyrene tray was crushed and the soup was smashed therefore wasn’t fit for eating well that is unless you want crab soup flavoured fried rice !!! Get it together foolin it int like you don’t charge enough !!!

2nd time I’ve ordered and 2nd time it’s late. When ringing the restaurant because the food is late, they ask how I’ve ordered, the look for the order and decide to start cooking it. Waited 2 hours for the food to arrive!

I had sweet and sour chicken food tray and chips on Saturday night was really nice but I started getting poorly in middle of night and now been poorly for past 2 days chills, diarrhoea, stomache cramps and being sick I’ve never been so poorly before I never catch anything and it matches symptoms of food poisoning.

So last time the delivery was nearly an hour late and no money back was offered as "we are very busy" so thought 1 last try. chow mein/crispy beef combo arrived and the noodles were wetter than a nun at a Cliff Richard gig, the pork in the curry was mostly hardened sinue or fat and my wife nearly choked on a length of old boat rope disguised as crispy shredded chicken. delivery was fast this time but at the cost of quality, I think it's safe to say this place is now struck off the list and all future business will be elsewhere

Just thrown the majority of a £50 delivery away as I didn’t even want to give it to the dog as it was that bad. Rice was stodgy and totally tasteless as was the special chow mein. The mixed starter for 2 persons was overcooked and unchewable and bbq spare ribs hardly had any sauce at all. A total waste of money and time. Won’t be using them again, absolutely disgusting.

Lovely fillet steak with black bean and chicken with Thai honey and chilli's sauce lots of steak and a whole chicken breast also chicken fried rice was great and it all arrived really fast x best was lovely man who delivered it he was so nice and polite I wish I had given him a little tip xx will next time xx

Woman taking order didn’t take my order properly then when I had it delivered they missed things then had to wait 30 minutes to get what I ordered delivered after and they asked me to pay for it when it was there fault. Then the delivery guy was threatening and opened my door when I refused to pay.

I got out of surgery and was craving a crispy shredded chicken dish specifically for the crunchy, chewy texture. When it arrived it was drenched in a sauce and was like flat slices if chicken in a bit of batter. I called up frustrated cos it wasn't even remotely what I wanted and I don't like the texture of chicken like this. The guy on the phone, did try to explain that the dry dish was called something else and the one I ordered came in sauce which was apparently just common knowledge. He did, though, try to resolve the situation and was quite polite about the matter. HOWEVER, after I accepted that I had no choice but to have this dish, I did find the sauce was incredible and my sister ate the chicken which she said was really juicy. The rest of the dishes were also fantastic and I will be ordering from these again in the future. Even though the guy on the phone handled the situation well and the food was really good, I can only give 4 stars because I do think the description 'crispy shedder chicken' does not describe a wet dish.

Ordered the chips,rice and curry sauce but when it turned up it had sweet and sour sauce on it.

Awful, found sharp plastic shard inside prawn toast. Almost chocked on the plastic. Put me off the rest of the meal. Never again!

Food was good as always, but if I'd wanted to wait nearly 2 and a half hours for my dinner, I would have made it myself. Could have gotten a quarter of the way to China in that time.

Nice food but what you order ends up changing before it gets to your house I asked for beansprouts and got some sort of battered banana Then I tried to get refund of JustEat and they said they was unable to give me one this time
