New Rainbow in Bradford

Been coming here for a while. Always enjoyed it and recently they've added Thai to the menu. Recently ordered a Thai red and it was amazing and spicy.

Honestly it's been a fantastic takeaway I've gone to. The food never disappoints us as the food is made quickly and is delicious, especially the share box where it satisfies our tummies. I would recommend this to any person in Saltaire thinking of a Chinese to go to. 🤩

Gone down hill since it got new owners, food is horrible and the girl serving is very ignorant, practically throws your change at you and just grunts, will never use again, shame really as it used to be decent 😒

Went in to order for myself and my partner. Was explicit about wanting vermicelli rice noodles due to being coeliac and was assured that I was fine to order those and was assured that the other ingredients in the meal were fine. Server even went to ask the chef specifically. Got home and found my meal had noodles containing wheat which I cannot have. Partner ended up going to another Chinese to get what I could eat! Waste of time. Waste of money. Can’t be trusted. Won’t go back.

Ordered at 4.45pm came at 6pm onion rings were well over cooked curry was ok but overall I won’t be getting any food off them

Worst takeaway iv ever had. I only wanted in one tray.. chips rice onions and curry sauce. Charged me £13.50 I thought it was a joke but was hungry and in a rush. Was given a portion of onion in one tray and chips with rice in another with the smallest spoon of curry sauce 😂..glad it this was my first time trying this place before I spent money on a large order. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

The food was amazing I tried out the new prawn spring roll its amazing it was a prawn wrapped in pastry it cost about 4.50 and there was 4 in each portion

The best salt n pepper chips in Bradford Staff are very friendly and tolerable

This is a great Chinese been going here since the 70,s never had a bad meal always well worth its money ,staff very friendly and we travel from Guiseley every time .

Haven't been since Tony retired but the food was delicious and ample. They also threw in some extras free of charge ... fabulous 👌👌 Will definitely be going back

without doubt the worst takeaway ive ever had. Ok. curry and chips took 20 mins because they only cook chips in a little fryer as you order.Frozen chips,!!! Curry sauce was tasteless. £4.40 . The girl on the counter is the most ignorant server you could meet . No please no thank you no good bye.Just a grunt you could expect in a farm yard.Avoid this place .

This was our favourite local Chinese takeaway but it must have changed ownership as the quality and taste of the food is not the same. The Chilli and Garlic was exactly the same as the Schezwan chicken dish although these are very different dishes. The chicken was like rubber and the sauce had an off smell about it. Even adding extra salt did nothing and It's the first time I've not finished a meal but it was so off putting and really not enjoyable. The ribs had no sauce and were very dry. The rice was the best part of the entire meal. The girl on reception was also not very friendly and unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Used to love it here. Quality of meat has gone right downhill. And not much of it. And the young girl serving needs to learn what manners mean. Might try again in a bit to see if it was a one off. Had been great for years.

First time coming to this takeaway. I met very friendly staff that were welcoming to me and the food was so excellent, especially the sesame prawn toast that was packaged very neat and tasted delicious and fresh.I will definitely be returning back to eat. I highly recommended this place. .

I don't know what's happened to this place, but we've had to find an alternative after 6 years of new rainbow being our previous favourite Chinese. The last two orders in the past 2 months have been highly disappointing, everything seems to have changed and most certainly for the worse. I doubt we'll try again considering we've now wasted over £100 and it's just completely ruined. It used to be they would know which house we were and everything but now seem to have no idea which makes me think it's changed owners? Will it return to normal standard?

Bought some food from here and it was so dry and cold and it’s cash only?? wouldn’t recommend this place

We tried every Chinese in shipley before we found this place and we've never turned back. Amazing flavour and it usually arrives in under 15 minutes. Their prawn toast is fantastic it's a whole king prawn in the center of quarter of a slice of bread and you get 8 pieces. They do proper dirty noodles like all good Chinese's should and their curry is beyond words amazing I wish I could give 10 stars.. fills two of us for under 15quid

Just had a meal delivered, arrived cold and it was absolute garbage. Not sure where they buy their ducks from, but to say it was tasteless is an understatement. It was some sort of stringy fat pretending to be duck. Never again.

Excellent food from here. Delivery quick, prawn crackers to die for, love this place.

Often go here locally, cash only but the foods really good, love the chips and salt and pepper chicken, we also get veggie spring rolls too and it's great for snacks when after the pub in evening.

Really disappointing, heard good things about this place but the food we got was awful. Over half the tub was bean sprouts, about three bits of carrot, then over cooked rubbery chicken in bland sauce so watery it was pouring out of the tub into the bag. Had a couple of mouthfuls and the rest went into the bin, don’t waste your time.

First time trying here. Fried rice was lovely. Curry was ok salt and pepper chips just tasted like ordinary chips.

Beautiful Chinese best one about. Just wish they would open abit longer.

Distinctly average Quite expensive for what you get. Food very salty with lots of additives. Prawn toast a let down. Sweet and sour chicken balls - hardly balls, flat rubbery pieces of chicken in batter that had clearly been fried in old oil. Egg fried rice was the best bit!

The chicken curry here is phenomenal. Especially after a few pints from next door. The service is so quick too! Highly efficient and friendly. Love this place

So I've ordered for delivery at 9.02 and it is 22.41 and it's still not ere , I called 22.10 and the said 15-20 mins .. Throughly disappointed as usually the service from new rainbow is good ,what's happened ..

1st time trying this and it’s the last time. I’d heard good things but maybe caught them on a busy/bad night? 1hr 25 to get food which of course was luke warm if not tepid, chips were cold. . The meat was very bland and the entire dish just tasted well..... boring. No flavours, sauce was thick and gloopy, almost spongelike chicken and the duck was abnormally fatty..... Not impressed at the slightest and won’t be returning. Far better Chinese outlets around the Shipley area.

Great Chinese but doesn't accept card payments!

I used to get food from here about 3 decades ago when i was a student at Shipley college. I loved it and still talk about it. On my next trip to England i will pay them a visit. Thanks for feeding me during my student days.

Absolutely disgusted, we have been using this place as our Chinese restaurant for 10 years, had issueses before but just got on with it but enough is enough. Ordered food, forgot to add a item, complained and did offer to compensate with double position next time but we said we didn't need that as it would be a waste, and all we got was I'm too busy, even though delivery driver had just left our road, to add to it some of our food was flat cold and chicken was tough, not happy at all with customer service, clearly the owner is not bothered about loosing customers or customer service.

Best Chinese take away in Shipley if not in Bradford. Great fresh food, always tasty and great service. Now add some tofu on a menu!

Had some friends over for a boozy night. All of us were starving after a few and decided on a Chinese. Ordered from here many times and have got to know the chap on the counter quite well. Lovely man. Took our order and promised delivery within 40 mins. 30 mins later it arrived. 3 boxes full. All piping hot and all first class. From the sweet and sour to the crispy beef. All were so full of flavour . And the chips are outstanding. Has to be the best Chinese for miles around.

Popped in here after a pint at the excellent pub next door. I'm not a regular, but the owner treated me like one - a real gentleman. Highly recommended!

Just judging on others experiences I'll avoid this place

I have only ever been here once while Saltaire festival was on. I got chips and curry sauce and they were delicious. Good price quick and friendly service will stop again if hungry and in the area :D

I found the service absolutly RUBBISH! I ordered half a duck plus extras and what I got looked like what I could only describe as a pile of meat that looked like it had gone through a mincer. I phoned back up only to be told that I must of ordered wrong. They then refused to have the delivery person come out or refund my money or replace my meal. So dissapointed! I advise everyone to check your meal before delivery driver leaves!

Interior of the place isn't much to look at but the menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. After asking what a few of the items were, we chose the sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice, and the vegetable omelette(foo yung) with fried rice, with onion rings. There was a big portion of the onion rings and the other portion sizes were good. A large bag of prawn crackers were complimentary. The onion rings were suprisngly some of the best I've ever tasted for a takeaway establishment. The other food was average and the pork was completely edible- no gristly bits.

This chinese restaurant is situated at 65 Saltaire Road Shipley. While not technically in Saltaire, it is right next door to Fanny's Alehouse. They have a very comprehensive menu, and the food is excellent. They don't even mind if you walk in with a pint glass in your hand. Indeed I have ordered thus, then picked it up 10 mins later, on my way home. Just a word of warning, they are closed like most chinese on tuesdays. My one whinge is the ammount of MSG in the food. Indeed I have woken up the next day, my whole body shaking from head to foot with the most massive MSG hangover. The food is tasty enough; it does NOT need flavour enhancer.
