Great Wall in Bradford - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

We travelled far and wide to find a Chinese that would really tingle our tastebuds. On our journey we came across the great wall. We thought we’d already been to the great wall of china but this must be the great wall of Bradford. This Chinese was located on a very dangerous road with double yellow lines all the way down. If you don’t know what double yellows are then this means only people under the age of 11 can park here. We are 42 but we thought we’d take the risk #badboys4life. We almost got run over 15 times by boy racers (or girls we don’t judge) whizzing down the street and almost got wiped out by an oncoming basketball!!!! Nearly knocked our heads off. I would say this basketball was also bigger than the average 23cm basketball and i would say it is 24cm. This is an issue that the police need to resolve quickly!!! (The basketball not the boy racers). As we walked into the great wall of Bradford. We were greeted by a lovely lady who i felt a connection with almost immediately, she was lovely! Dave kebab you’re one lucky guy! (If you don’t know who Dave kebab is he is the the lady’s husband, but we don’t know his name so he is now called dave kebab. DISCLAIMER Dave kebab is also our grandad so take that how you will) RIP Grandad Dave x Onto the food, i know this is the least important bit for our HUGE fanbase to read, but it has to be done. Firstly, the salt and pepper chicken was normal chicken in disguise, CANT FOOL ME!!!!! Unfortunately there was nothing salt and pepper about this chicken, it lacked seasoning and was not garnished with the basic correct vegetables that i expect it to come with. (Peppers, onions and rhubarb) disappointing to say the least. If you do not know the recipe for s+p chicken i will tell you. -start off with your one plump turkey -chop the turkey into six equal quarters -boil the turkey -whilst the turkey is boiling chop your veg -grate your 32.5 onions -chop 1kg of peppers -chop the rhubarb -put everything into a wok -cook for approximately 4 hours -finally, throw the full wok into your neighbours garden because you don’t put rhubarb into salt and pepper chicken you idiot!!!! Swiftly, onto the “salt and pepper chips”. I don’t want to assume anything but i firmly believe in my heart that this restaurant has NOT had any ownership of salt and pepper seasoning for minimum the last 5 years, maybe even a decade. This information was collected by our dog sniffer. So it is right. The chips were okay overall, i ate them, but only jew to the top secret recipe sauce they gave us which i cant tell you. But if you are a fan and follow us i will tell you. Look away now if you’re not a fan. I SEE YOU PEEKING TREVOR I KNOW YOU UNSUBSCRIBED 2 DAYS AGO YOU TRAITOR!!! (It was sweet and sour sauce) Onto the noodles. They were delicious and by far the 2 star of the show. They were a good size and nicely coated in sauce. They were saucy, savoury and salsa dancing. I think i counted approximately 32 noodles but im not very good at maths. I was a maths teacher a long long time ago but they fired me for not being able to count past 10. How stupid is that? In conclusion, the woman and service was great, the food came fast and wasn’t terrible but there is a lot of room for improvement. Believe me, since i was fired from being a maths teacher i became a chef in India and Gordon Ramsey said himself that i am the GOAT. If you don’t know what goat is. Its a religious tree in bali that everyone thinks is cool. I wouldn’t come again. But that is probably because of the many incoming basketballs down the street. quick dave duck!!!!! We would recommend to the locals of keefly but be careful of basketballs!!! We personally couldn’t come here again as we leave to go back to India tomorrow. We have a shoe shop to run! Not sure how to review this ? Food does taste really good and appreciate the cost of living crisis but £15:50?? And 6 free prawn crackers ? Good job this is supper and we’ve already eaten : /

Best Chinese takeaway in town 🙌

Arguably the worst Chinese meal I've ever had. Duck curry that was 80% fat, deep fried spare ribs that were overdone and swimming in grease. Waste of £20

So yes I have Enjoyed my Dinner Tonight

I have been going there for over 30 years, and it's still the best pancake rolls and spical fried rice ever

Spot always is. My fave Chinese by far. Love the mini meat spring rolls and beef chow mien. I always order the same

Ordered spare ribs starter and special chow mein mains with boiled rice. Unfortunately, never had ribs that are 1 inch long , bland znd boring The special chow mein had no flavour taste, will not be ordering from there again even though I live within a mile of it CRAP @!

Salt and pepper ribs were basically deep fried belly pork. Chicken chowmein swimming in grease. Horrible.

After using Great Wall Chinese on West Lane in Keighley for years we just had a delivery of Mushroom Omelette and chips, over quarter of of the container was onion mixed with egg and a few mushrooms. Since when did a mushroom omelette have onions in it. I rang the Great Wall and told them of the issue and I was told sorry, no offer to rectify it but when I said I won't be using them again I was told "No problem good by.

Best Chinese takeaway in Keighley.

First time ordering as usual Chinese was closed. Pleasantly surprised, we had no complaints. We received big portions of tasty hot food. Pleased to find it in foil containers too instead of the usual plastic. Will be ordering from here again.

Absolutely disgusted with how I’ve been treated tonight. Been a customer for 30 years and my parents and grandparents have before me. Appalling attitude on the phone from the guy taking orders shouting at me saying he didn’t need my postcode even though they normally ask for it when delivering which is normally once a week (not any more). Couldn’t remember my mobile number and again shouted at me saying how busy they are tonight and needed a contact number. I suggested I called back. When I did call, I asked for Singapore fried rice which I get every week saying they’ve taken it off the menu now and couldn’t make it anymore??? No exception. Aggressive and rude attitude. Called Jade garden instead and spoke to a lovely helpful guy who actually wants custom. Food quality recently been dreadful too, tasteless cold slimey and burnt. Loyalty the only reason why I still called. Lost a customer so well done! You don’t treat customers like that. Told them to forget it - won’t be getting another penny from me. Disgraceful

Lovely food..lovely smells from outside😚

Chicken was bright pink and had an awful smell to it, the chips were soggy and the curry sauce was like water definitely would not recommend to anyone!

This is without doubt the best Chinese take away any where. Been a customer since it first opened in the 70’s when I lived a few door up. Even when I moved and tried others nobody is as good as Great Wall. Also it’s the only take away that’s does Chinese roast pork and chicken with bean shoots which is my favourite dish. Might have changed hands a few times over the years but they still manage to put out the same quality food I remember as a child.

We had a take away from the Great Wall last nite and the food was amazing and we had been Given very mixed views on the quality of the food from there and it has been a very long time since we had eaten from there. But the service was amazing we were sent our food out very quickly and the driver was very polite and the food was red hot and when we dished it out it was awesome and just as good as we remembered it to taste and we were so very pleased that we had ordered and it just shows you should not listen to rumours but try for your self and you will be so pleased you did amazing food

This is truthfully one of the best takeaways in Keighley. Friendly staff, phenomenal food and reasonable prices.

Excellent food, reasonable pricing and especially friendly staff, couldn't ask for much better in a take away. Try the beef chow mein, you won't regret it.

Shocking service,ordered a family meal with no rice delivered ,asked if they could just send our rice up quickly and 25 mins later it turned up.We were once a good customer ,no more.Cold dinner sent back .waiting for a refund ..

Dont get delivery on a saturday night. We rang at 6:45 it is now 9:00 and we are still waiting. They said an hour, fair enough on a saturday but over 2 now and counting. Got a tip for delivery driver, work for someone who doesn't lie to their customers you might get some tips instead of ear ache.# tossers

It was a very quick service, had very nice food (especially the beef curry) and is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Had meal delivered to home. Both took ill a short time later. The food has lost its consistency of late and we felt it was a lot worse on this occasion, Very ill for 2 days. Rang them and told them- they could not have cared less. The thought of losing long standing customers seemed to have no impact on them. Will never go here again!

Great Chinese takeaway, 5 Star hygiene

Always great quality and fast service....... only downside is they don't do a card payment service. Which means should the urge grasp you and you only got money in bank it means a trek into town then up for food.

The service at the Great Wall is great, they always get orders right and don't take a lifetime wait to eat the food.

When we fancy chinese takeaway we always go here for it.Its consistently good food.We tend to stick to the same things,because we know that we wont be disappointed.The pancake rolls are huge and tasty,the chow mein is great too.

There's little else to say other than my title. It's vile, tastes mucky, tastes what it is.... factory produced rubbish. Would never ever eat here. There's much nicer places locally.

Food was dreadfull, Got home and the food was cold. Dished it out and started eating it to see that the prawns in my dish had the black poo still innit which totally put me off. Got a mixed starter for 2 also and every bit was unedable. Spent so much money for this food and was looking forward to enjoying it as we have never been here before and I will not be returning. Absolute let down and totally not worth our money at all. FUMING!!!

No una, sino dos veces enviaron la cosa equivocada. En ambas ocasiones enviaron langostinos dulce y agria cuando mi mujer pidió gambas en salsa bien y me mandaron stirr carne frita en salsa de ostras cuando pedí el pitido estilo szechuan carne frita. No me importa, pero todo lo que hicieron para que sea picante era cortar y tirar en algunos chiles. Ahora sé que mi comida oriental ya han pasado tiempo en Tailandia y Hong Kong, también tienen algunos amigos de China. Sé de lo que me enviaron estaba equivocada, la primera vez que mi esposa ordenados y no nos molestó para decírselo, pero en la segunda ocasión me llamaba para avisar. La chica fue inflexible que salsa dulce y agria y bien son los mismos y que la carne de vacuno es sólo tocan estilo szechuan carne frita en salsa de ostras con extra para que sea picante chilis. Por favor ten cuidado si quieres salsa bien o estilo szechuan frito carne de cerdo o pollo te recomiendo que pruebes eleswhere como este lugar no saben lo que es cocinar.

Re-discovered this takeaway... Used to get food from here around 20 years ago... And it's still as good as I remember! Great, restaurant quality food at takeaway prices. Offer a delivery service too.

Mi madre se comió en bultos después en la Gran Muralla keighley. La comida lo que yo y mi comimos era dura y horrible y comida horrible. Ahora son picazón y en su rostro. Tardaron 5 minutos para cocinar mi opinión es que es una porquería aquí la peor comida china en Keighley

good prices, good food, good people and a happy me the delivery was amazingly qwick and still piping hot me and my frends will most surtenly be going their agen and soon i advise you eat there and love it

Huge portions, but it all tasted reheated and mass produced. It didn't taste fresh especially the noodles and chips. The chicken was just battered mad produced chicken and the dish had no vegetables in. I would go else where and won't be going again.

Restaurant quality - takeaway price. It's a drive for us but well worth it.

Been going here since mid 1980s. Food hot and tasty with good choice of menu. Only gripe is the chips are a bit hit and miss lately. Spoke to them about it so hoping they take note. Delivery fairly quick too.
