New Lotus House in Waverley

We get a take away from New Lotus House every couple of weeks and it's always really good. The staff are lovely and friendly. Highly recommend the Singapore chow mein, beef curry and hot & sour soup which are my favourites.

It's an OK place, it is what it is. Check your orders with them on site because they messed up ours a few times (big orders). Smaller orders are normally ok.

Friendly, quick, always on time and food is delicious. Look forward to our next one!! Best to order early though as they get extremely busy. That speaks for itself in my opinion....

We are relatively new to Cranleigh but found this little wonder. We've been there 4 times now and it's always consistently great. The food is probably the best Chinese takeaway I've had and we travel extensively abroad. So an amazing find for Cranleigh!

I had sprig rolls, a bit greasy but tasty. Fried rice, absolutely amazing. Spare ribs, yummy with delicious honey.

Very greasy, strange taste, extremely thick soggy batter on king prawns, really greasy noodles, actually felt sick eating this and decided to leave it...

Spring rolls full of grease, main course no flavour, would have got better value buying from a supermarket takeaway meal

Decided on a takeaway while staying with my sister, to save her cooking for us. What a letdown ! Spring rolls were tiny, sweet and sour pork chewy ( once we discarded the thick coating of batter). Other dishes - King prawns, and beef - reasonable, but overall a disappointment.

Missed out our rib dish and didn't realise until we got home... Great. Most of the food was stone cold from the short journey home as well. Portion of 'honey' chicken wings was small and instead contained golden syrup, which is fine if you like it I guess!? The shredded cabbage was borderline burnt and the 'special fried rice' was not fried or special and seemed to be more of a broth with slabs of pork. Chow mein was average and the chicken was the only thing i enjoyed since is was so salty. Won't be visiting again.

I have been here many times over the years and am surprised I haven’t reviewed it before. Always dependable, reasonably priced and good value for money. Have never had a bad meal, probably hundreds of visits over the years.

It is what it is, a Chinese Takeaway. The food is very good and the service is swift and polite always. I am happy to be a regular.

This place is a long standing Cranleigh staple and delivers pretty good westernised Chinese food quickly and for a fair price.

Wow standards have really dropped - chicken satay to start with was unbelievably tough and gristly and even the peanut sauce didn’t taste of peanut but was watery and thin. The mains of Beef in Black Bean sauce was only just ok. The egg fried rice was poor as were the mixed vegetables. Who won’t bother to come back.

We've always liked the take away food from this family run take away. Not having been for some time we dropped in and ordered a very simple selection of 2 starters, fried squid and dumplings followed by one main of King Prawn in Black Bean with boiled rice. After we drove home and open it we found they had given us Beef in Black Bean Sauce instead. Now the quality and taste was still very very good but in they end they got a simple order wrong which they really shouldn't because they weren't rushed off they're feet.

We always go there for the very best Chinese food take away as no one can compete certainly outside London and Guildford

I am surprised that this takeaway has not been reviewed before. The food is basic Chinese but is always good. The hot & sour soup is the best we ever had and that been quite a few. The staff are polite & friendly and on the rare occasion that something goes wrong they rectify the mistake without question.
