New Lorens Chinese & English Takeaway in Liverpool

Definitely changed hands this place, food not like it used to be, garden peas on a sausage dinner, never 😲 ..... Singapore vermicelli, awful, just curried noodles,onions and green peppers, where is the rest of the ingredients.. never again

I ust to be a regular customer here and the food was lovely It went really down hill last year and I stopped going all together but last night I thought I would give it ago and what a mistake the only good thing the food was on time but it arrived cold the beef fried rice and special friead rice was all clumpy and all stuck together it was like it had been frozen. The chips where cold and inedible spring rolls tasted weird like they where off compleat waste of £26.00 we definitely will not be back and I wouldn't advise anyone to ger food from this chippy the food is disgusting .

Warmed up salt pepper chips, disgusting and cheese onion pies all caved in bizarre. Please don't go just walk somewhere else.

What’s happened is it under new management? Chefs changed? Over the yrs enjoyed plenty of meals here. Time a change, will not be returning.

We ordered a dim-sum and some additional items, it was really nice. Food was full of flavour and cooked really well too. I have been here in the past but not few a while and I can say honestly say I don’t think the quality of the food has changed. It was still very enjoyable.

I ordered a quarter crispy duck with pancakes when order arrived I was horrified to find the duck not shredded and full of black bone could only describe looked like a spine. Not to sure if Lorens has been take over recently as I’ve always ordered duck from here and never ever have i received it looking like this. I don’t know any Chinese chip shop that does not shred there duck before sending it out it so Unappetising it went straight in the bin. Never ever again 🤢

Come here often for a take out, food is lovely and their chips are tasty and well cooked. Lovely staff and a weary clean premises

Delicious food, I would recommend the salt and pepper mixed combo boxes. Really tasty and full of flavour. The fish/savoury cakes are also really nice.

Have not eaten here for over a year - as our normal chippy was closed - so I went here for a portion of chips..... Was nearly 6.30pm and a few people in before me so chips should have been really fresh - husband agreed a few decent chips but the rest these were the WORST CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD.... Black bits ( old potoatoes) and green on the ends - left at least a third of the portion - disgusting and will never go back again.

Used to love ordering from here then it seemed to have been taken over, ordered meals and only half the order was delivered, rang them then 30 mins the rest of the order arrived, couldn't apologise enough, next time we ordered the food was cold the salt and pepper chips were burned food had a horrible taste on it all ended up in the bin, rang up to complain and not bothered, told them will never order again and havnt, now I go past and it's always empty, surprised it's still open tbh

I am completely addicted to the salt and pepper boxes from here. You pick 3 items of your choice for £7, I order ribs, king prawns and squid! It is absolutely delicious!! As much as I don’t like to admit it but I order at least twice a week from here 🙈 I am getting hungry now even think by about it!! 💕💕

Have not had a takeaway for a while from this takeaway, always found it okay but meal today was dreadful...grotty bits of chips and old type chips - tasted and looked like they had been warm ups. Curry was bland. We both left our meals...... Won't be going again to this takeaway Not recommended

Everything is greasy and vile, went straight in to the bin and the bin wasn't happy surprised its still open

Was a Belter chippy about 10 years ago . Ran it in to the ground now. Gravy is black and the woman behind the counter just keeps eating the chips straight out the fryer. Not nice at all

Food arrived a lot quicker than we expected, which was 😊 the rice was Luke warm ( which in itself is extremely worrying!) the prawn crackers actually tasted oily they left a film of grease on your lips 😩 the rest of the food was nice hence the 3 stars and the portions were a good size

Absolutely Awful - Ordered a Mixed Grill - What came was full of offal. No chicken, no onion rings, tiny piece of steak, sausage, all thrown into a stodgy mess. When I phone them they said tough - I was too far away for them to do anything about it. They were quick enough to take the order

We have been getting takeaways from Loren's for over 30 years ( even before it was Loren's) and always found the food to be good and lots of choice.
