I called off for a takeaway soya latte and was astonished at what I was charged. £4.20 is more than I've ever been charged for a coffee. I think £3.70 is more than enough to pay for a latte without an extra 50p for a dairy free option. I won't be going here again for my coffee.

Lovely garden centre but sad that the cafe charges extra for plant based milks. It’s the only place I’ve been which charges so much extra for alternative milk. Just because you have an allergy to milk and ask for an alternative, you have the pleasure of paying £4:20 for a cappuccino in stead of £3:70. I won’t be partaking again. Very disappointed.

The Wife and I love to eat here. The food and service take some beating. I'm stuck on the bacon, brie and cranberry and a cappuccino. To die for. Also if you like to save money, you can always find a bargain whether it's what you want or not. Lastly, the garden centre staff are extremely helpful if you need advice. Five stars every time.

We ordered tea and a coffee and two toasted tea cakes. Food came first and then had to wait over 10 minutes for drinks. We even had to ask for the drinks and they arrived after we had eaten the food. This is the second time this has happened to us at this cafe. This was also the same for other tables.

We have been visiting here for sometime and there have been occasions where staff were let’s say ‘a bit off’ with customers. Today was whole new level. The waitress was openly hostile and when I asked her to hear me out about a complaint she was so rude !! I told her she was being rude and I got a sarcastic ‘am I?’ The place is not cheap and good is at best average, although Sunday lunches are lovely. The manager came out to us and she was fabulous thank goodness. The attitude of the waitress was appalling - I can only think she trained at one of the Karen themed cafe’s.

We've bern coming here for quite a few years. The service is always good but the prices have incresed significantly and the quality and portion sizes have declined. This is a fairly busy place so must be making a decent profit so I can't understand why they need to increase their prices all the time. A cup of coffee is now £3.70 why? At one point we'd go for lunch here once a week now we won't go for lunch or even coffee at these prices. There will come a time when people say enough is enough and this once busy cafe won't have many customers.

Lovely atmosphere, great service, meals were tasty but portions were small. The costs were reasonable for food and drinks. Would definitely go again.

Wow Wow Wow - wonderful meal - Tom Shepherd Pie, absolutely amazing. It's great that such a wonderful chef is collaborating with a pub company so his food can be shared with the masses. That said the Crispin is clean friendly welcoming great service and of course great food and drink selection - a definite must when in Ashover. The best pub in the village by far

Spring roll, pork rice & beef in black bean sauce dishes were all tasty but the won tons were pretty much just tied and notted up pieces of deep fried filo pastry, there was no filling, the notted parts were hard as nails, had to spit them out after eating the edible parts so not to chip a tooth! Delivery was 45 mins. Sesame prawn toast was mostly deep fried bread, contained hardly any prawn so they weren't great either unfortunately. My first order from here, not sure I'd use again 😔
