I am sorry to say but I ordered mushroom rice , and not anywhere did it warn me that it contains EGG an allergy ! in the wrong hands this could of been fatal. .. I don't doubt the quality and the time of delivery was impressive but unfortunately i had to waste the food as I couldn't risk eating egg. lucky I spotted it ! natashas law springs to mind... please please advertise allergen ingredients information for your dishes in future . someone could die... .

I have ordered from New Jade Garden for 8 years and always receive fresh, hot and tasty food. Delivery is always on time and the staff are all great.

Delivery nie and early...food is lovely as always. Honey and chili chicken perfect. Young chow fried rice.. Is the best.. And salt and chili ribs.. Yummy! Only gripe is the cost for one person orders, I wish they did a value box for one...

Ordered for delivery, very late with cold food. The woman on the phone was very unhelpful and rude. Absolutely not ordering again.

Food took more than 2 hours to be delivered and when it did arrive the chips were cold. We have ordered from here regularly for a while now but unfortunately I think we will now go elsewhere. When I called up after 1 and a half hours was told it would be 15 minutes and then took another half an hour with no apologies.

Food took over 2 hours to arrive and 40 minutes after the latest estimated time. I had to ring up to chase it. Food is nice normally but arrived luke warm. I spent a lot of money for not a great service for my visitors who had to take their food with them due to the delay waiting

Although the delivery was late it was still hot and very tasty definitely my favourite Chinese.

My food is consistently late, but when I ring the restaurant up and ask where my food is, they say it's on it's way and I'll wait another half hour for it to arrive and when it does arrive, my food will be piping hot as if it's only just been made because I asked where it is

The best Chinese delivery we’ve had in Plymouth. Expected delays having read some reviews; ordered early, arrived 10mins early. Popular and busy for good reason. Everything freshly prepared and delicious, perfectly spiced, seasoned, etc, and all arrived hot. Portions generous, chicken and pork tender, egg fried rice perfect, vegetables al dente. First time here so ordered a wide variety to try as much as poss; nothing disappointed. Leftovers were reheated and thoroughly enjoyed two nights later!

Meal was really good apart from the lemon sauce for the chicken. It wasn't thick enough and just tasted like sugary water. Par from that, everything else was great 👍

Tried here because our usual Chinese was closed and will definitely be using here instead in the future. Although the wait was nearly 1 and a half hours it was worth it. The driver did apologise for the long wait and the food was all hot and tasted great.

Great food just shame delivery was an hour late

Order was marked as delivered as soon as the delivery time slot had passed and they had failed to meet their own timing. I ordered before 8pm and deliver slot was over an hour later but not met, when I called the restaurant I was told there was still 4 or 5 deliveries before me by their delivery driver who told me the manager refused to take my call and complaint as she was "too busy" and it took nearly an hour after they marked it as delivered for the food to turn up.

food was delivered at 20:05 requested for 20:30, which is when I was going to be home with my son from rugby training. My son's Kung Po Chicken smelt and tasted like sweet and sour chicken. the menu needs to include descriptions, every other garlic chicken dish I have had has been crispy chicken not plain chicken. overall we all found our meals quite bland and would not recommend. I will not be using this takeaway again.

Food was delicious definitely recommend as one of the top Chinese restaurants in plymouth. Crispy seaweed is £4.20!!! But I’m a sucker for their crispy seaweed so I paid what I needed for that tray of heaven.

I rang after an hour and a half they said my order hadn't been cooked yet.asked how long it would be they said they dident no as no driver was available

Excellent food, prepared quickly. The waiting area for the pickup was a little cold, then again most places were cold.

Food was 2 hours late. I had called the restaurant 3 times. They said they didn’t have a driver. Perhaps it should have stated collection only. I wanted to cancel order but the lady said it was already cooked just waiting for someone to deliver it. Turned up cold.

2 hours late and when i called the 1st time the lady couldnt give me a time . 2nd time i called she said it was with the driver and then that was 1/2 hour ago

The food was semi-warm and not hot. From when we ordered, it took 3 hours to get to us. When I called after an hour and a half, they said it would be another 20 minutes. 45 minutes then went by and no sign of the Chinese. I then called again and was told they hadn’t started cooking the meal yet and it was gonna be another 25 minutes. Unfortunately at no surprise it took longer than the 25 minutes and actually took another 45 minutes.

I would never use this place again. 3 hours to wait for your food. If you can’t keep up with orders don’t accept them.

Quality of food was awful. Food came very cold and what only I can describe as mud on it the bag was ripped and my food had mud and bits of grass stuck on the sweet and sour chicken balls. Looked as if it had been dropped on the floor. All of it ended up in the bin, complete waste of money on a tea I couldn’t eat

Ordered food for delivery. It arrived hot, well cooked and delicious. We've been using New Jade Garden for a long time now and they've never let us down. The food isn't over sweetened for western tastes like a lot of the Chinese places in Plymouth and the food tastes more authentic as a result.

The food came lukewarm the curry sauce was awful definitely will not be ordering from here again rang them up to find out where my order was the woman on the phone was very blunt and rude then when I asked she said that the driver is on route didn’t give me a specific time was very quick to get off the phone.

The food is amazing so worth the wait but it would of been quicker to walk in & order. A little disappointing as I only ordered Veg rice, prawn on roast and a soup & I’m only 5 min drive away. I was just Hangry as they say.

Order was 20 mins late. Rang them and they said it would late then a text to say it would be late. Food was surprisingly still hot. Had to wait another 35 mins. Did say sorry over phone waiting drivers apparently

Ordered food at 6:30 and it didn’t arrive until 9 o’clock. After an hour I phoned the restaurant and the guy was apologetic and said they’d throw in prawn crackers and that it wouldn’t be much longer. After an another hour I phoned again and the woman seemed rather uninterested. Food wasn’t that great, definitely wasn’t worth the wait and it didn’t arrive with any prawn crackers or an apology.

Food was cold and over an hour late. Where not helpful or apologetic on the phone at all. It was my sons birthday and we spent a large amount of money for our food to arrive at 10pm
