Just returned after having yet another delicious meal at the New Inn. It has become our go-to place for lunch, and for some years now. We have never been disappointed in the food and always receive a smiling welcoming reception fro whoever is behind the bar. Please ignore the last review and look at all the other glowing reviews. Trip Advisor is a good place to look but so open to scams.

We were visiting friends in the area & decided to have lunch here first. Very small bar but the dining room at the rear was quite spacious. Carvery looked nice but looks was where it ended. Everything was luke warm apart from the gravy & the veg was mushy. The landlady had a very stern look & was quite miserable. & to top it off my son & husband came across people (presumably locals) sniffing drugs in the toilet!! Not what you would expect from a quiet village pub Needless to say we won't be returning!!

What a little gem. We arrived just after 8pm but even though the kitchen closed at 8 pm the staff checked and the chef said it was ok to order and don’t rush, this was exceptional as we’ve had this happen many times whilst travelling and usually we get a negative response. Food was excellent and hot and not expensive. The staff were excellent and friendly.We will definitely call again if in the area. Thank you for making us welcome.

Visited the restaurant of this pub whilst in the area in business, had a great rib eye and a lovely pint of Theakstons The food was exceptional, service right up there. And such great value for money too. Highly recommended

Went here yesterday not been since COVID and it didn’t disappoint had 3 lovely starters and 3 mains and desserts All our food was presented lovely and would definitely recommend we will return soon for a Sunday lunch

The atmosphere is so warm and friendly, and the food here is fantastic. They offer great gluten free and vegan options, and really take care of you when you’re there. The place is also dog friendly which is a bonus! Great for families and couples.

The first time I have been for years, booked at the last minute. Absolutely amazing carvery, guts ready to burst. Only sad thing I couldn't manage a pudding 😕 small plate for me next time. Thank you exceptional carvery, great service from staff.

Having been recommended by friends who evaluated this pub /restaurant as being very good ,we found the information to be correct . Since then we have visited on several occasions and is our go to . Personally, suits very well from real ales Butty Bach/HPA (both favourites) to a decent wine menu to very enjoyable pub grub .We would not hesitate to forward on a recommendation

We decided at short notice to go for dinner at The New Inn which is quite close to our home. We couldn't have had a nicer dining experience which started with a very friendly greeting from Abi our waitress. I had blade of beef which was so tender you could have eaten it with a spoon. This was served with mashed potato and tender stem broccoli. My wife had scampi and chips which she enjoyed (I had one or two of the hand cut chips - great). It being a Wednesday we were offered free desserts. I had mint choc chip sundae and my wife toffee cheesecake - both excellent. Abi looked after us very well throughout and we'll be returning soon.

Really enjoyed Sunday lunch here! Been trying local Sunday Dinners for last 2 years and this is one of our favourites. Exceptionally good value and tasty food. Service was warm and ambience was nice. Already planning our next visit!

Fantastic country pub. Great food. Service was excellent and the staff were so friendly. Lovely atmosphere in.there. My husband had steak and said it was one of the best he had tasted in a long time. Would definitely recommend and we will most definitely visit again.

We chose The New Inn as it was reccommended by someone who lives locally as a good spot for lunch before an F A Cup game at nearby Bromsgrove Sporting. The welcome was warm. The beer was excellent The chips, peas and onion rings were lovely BUT the steaks were poor - tough and not very tasty - not bad enough to send back but not of the quality we expected. Perhaps if we had chosen another dish we would have given a higher grading - but based on our meals we cannot say more than "average"

Atmosphere great. food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Will go again. Nothing was too much trouble. Will book next time.

We were seated straight away having previously booked, our server very prompt with drinks and choices for Sunday lunch We chose the carvery and were told the chef would tell us when he was ready to serve, our drinks arrived promptly and the chef asked us to come up to the carvery when ready, Choice of 3 meats and good choice of vegetables, all hot and freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend this pub food and service excellent

We were disappointed with the food at this pub, after all the great reviews here. The chicken burger was small and disappointing, and the chips were soggy. My husband had the liver and onions, and there were not enough onions or gravy, and the liver was slightly overcooked - liver should be pink. However the service was excellent and attentive and although the food was disappointing, the service was not!

First visit to this pub restaurent. We sat in the conservatory. The staff enquired if we had any allergies. I can't have dairy. I decided to have the pork dish. This came with mash that was made with cream and butter, so I had chips instead. I am not a big fan of chips and wouldn't normally eat them. They were not like any chips I had before, I ate the lot. The pork was lovely too. My friend had the hanging skewer, which she said was really good. We both had a vegan cheesecake with icream covered in a chocolate sauce and freeze dried raspberries. It was extremely good. Light and fluffy. I would definately recommend this place. The service is very good, but you do pay a gratuity, which was £6.

Me and my wife booked here for a meal and we are so glad we did. Our waitress Abby was superb and is a real credit to the pub. The food was exceptional and the pub has a great atmosphere. It’s our new favourite! Many thanks Tim and Jen

Great service in a traditional pub from very friendly staff. A good selection of beers and an excellent menu, giving loads of choice. My seafood linguine was so tasty and a great sized portion. The rest of our party had a variety of meals and all wer3e complimentary. Desserts followed and were once again tasty, well presented and a good sized portion. Two minor grumbles which stop an "excellent" score. The linguine was served in a cold dish which just detracted from it. Coffee came with or before we all had our desserts served. Not major things but slight changes will make all the difference.

Having seen the reviews we stopped off on our way to stoke on Trent. We had a lovely warm welcome from Mandy, who was so lovely throughout our visit. The place itself was lovely and the food was excellent. There was also a small play area for the children at the back which they loved. Highly recommended.

Just arrived in the village I have to say as the new people I’ve never felt so welcomed in any pub before this,before moving into the village it was the same, we opted in to check it out and someone would always make you feel welcome, there’s always someone saying hello and that’s even before getting to the owners who make You feel like you’re been there forever Now food, all I’m going to say is homemade chips like your mom made, amazing, we had a meal recently and the food is amazing, I had a balti pie, so amazing All in all this is one of the best country pubs around

I can honestly say this pub is a gem of a find. Brilliant rural location, food is the best I’ve had from a pub/restaurant in a long time & staff and regulars are so welcoming 5*****. Well worth a visit 👍🏻

My Partner & I popped in for lunch after being recommended by a customer who we had dropped a delivery to. we were welcomed in and seated by a lovely girl who couldn't do enough for us. I had fish and chips that was delicious totally fresh with crispy light batter. (Not normally this good unless you are by the coast) my partner had a Panini with triple cooked chips which she also enjoyed. The Butty Batch Ale was spot on also. It was my daughter's birthday and I wanted to buy her a slap up meal, We'd tried about 5 places in Bromsgrove and all were closed, I remembered the New Inn, which we used to visit regularly , back in the day. We found an empty table at the front of the building, which was adequate, except that it was a really cold day and, despite our coats , we were freezing. We spotted two covered areas, both of which were empty, so we asked the waitress if we could move to one of these, We were told we were unable to use one, as were were a party of two and they were reserved for 4 or more ( I must add at this point that the time was 2pm, the main lunch period was over and the place was not exactly heaving!). We accepted this, as we're not the kind of people to make a fuss. However, after a while, two elderly men arrived, with dogs, and made straight to one of the covered areas. We waited for them to be ejected by the waitress, but nothing happened, We ate our food and felt crosser and crosser! Eventually, my daughter mentioned the matter to the waitress, who said the men had been really rude and the manager was about to arrive and tell then to move, Anyway, one of the waitresses went up to the men,and I heard her say they had to move as there had been complaints, It was apparent, from the tone of the conversation that these men were regulars and had we not complained, they would have not been moved, I know in these difficult times there has to be rules, but not to let two people, who were willing to spend money (we'd have stayed longer had it not been so cold) sit and freeze, seems daft! We won't return. Oh, and our dirty chips were very mediocre, but at least the chef was imaginative with vegan food which is really unusual,

Have become a regular visitor since the new owners arrived. The family are so lovely and work extremely hard. The addition of the new chef has now taken the food to another level. Everything off the menu I have tried is tasty and very different. The Sunday lunch wraps we had last Sunday were beautiful. Sunday dinner wrapped up in a homemade yorkie, yum. The kind of pub where you arrive as a guest but leave as a friend, well done New Inn team.

We had Valentine afternoon tea from the New Inn for two adults and 2 children. It was amazing, really well presented, so much cake. Kids loved it and the novelty of their own box of goodies. Would certainly do again. Fully recommend it too.
