New Happy Garden in Charnwood

Nice food just not sure why the guy on the phone is so rude? Asked him to repeat my order back to me and says “oh my god” as if i’m inconveniencing him? Rude.

I am only writing this on here as I can't find a direct email. My family and I have always enjoyed food from here. Always fresh, hot, on time and tasty. However recently we got family round and made an order. The food was average and I didn't think anything of it really as we were all having a good time. Afterwards a family member ordered " who I recommended and previously was very impressed with the food" they were not impressed with the food, it lacks freshness and also portion sizes and the amount of meat you get has deceased. I suppose I'm asking is this going to continue? Is it a business move? I'd rather pay more for a good meal than you charge me the same amount for rubbish. It took me a long time with trial and error to find and stick with you guys. Please sort it.

Good food , good portions , good price and cooking and delivery times are always spot on . Been using 10 years .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely gone down hilll. So unfortunate. They must up their game or move on . I’m regular customer . Chips were awful, chicken balls tasteless.

VILE. Fried fish in a bag of chips. Rang up to complain as vegetarian & they did not care. Terrible customer service. Everything cooked in the same two fryer’s and although “not cooked fish today” they can’t guarantee it’s not fish from previous day 🤢 If you have an allergy STAY away. The whole order was disgusting & made us feel sick

Sorry happy garden your service is disgraceful it’s a shame I used you for 5 years. The new management is really rude lazy and doesn’t care. Unbelievable bring back the manager

Have had a few takeaways which I have collected and food is no bad so anyway rang for a delivery to rothley asked if they could deliver just got no and the phone put down no sorry or explanation why person on the phone is very rude and my advice is work on your people skills and good manners

Ordered for the first time tonight, food was great and delivery was fairly fast

Very nice food, we order from there at least twice a month and never had any issues. Quick delivery as well, longest we waited was 50 minutes on Friday evening. Thank you.

Me and my husband decided to have a takeaway from happy garden. We’ve been going their for years with no problem take away was always lovely. However last nights food was just awful. It was lukewarm prawns over done and the batter was rubbery the prawn toast was just not nice at all it had some sort of paste but not prawns. In the end it went in the bin they had are last take away from us

Our usual place to get Chinese from. Placed our ordered and my husband went to collect it. When he got there someone else had taken our order by mistake, fine these things happen. My husband was told to wait whilst they call the other person to bring it back and we could have our meal. Well for a start that's not covid secure, I'm not having a meal that someone else has taken and driven off with and it'll be cold. He was told that they would prepare a new meal for us to which he said I'm not sure I trust that now. They said you need to pay for it or you're being blacklisted, my husband refused to pay for it after the way they spoke to him. Awful customer service, so disappointed and not covid secure at all. We will not use this takeaway again, someone where else can have our custom.

Dry chips and chowmein bland , and crackers taste of oil nothing like prawn crackers!, definitely needs sauce on the whole thing dried out, this ain’t the best take away

I can't comment obviously on the entire menu but the New Garden Special Fried Rice with a side of Dry Ribs was the best I have ever had and I've had a few. Can't wait to try other dishes hence will return to try other dishes.

Always good food from here and the guy on front desk is always helpful & friendly (even when he is rushes off his feet which is most of the time) we have used them for years but can be very busy at weekends (popular) so perhaps phone order before collecting.

Visiting family in the area. Didn't call the order in (doh) easy enough to walk in order and then go to Tesco for a couple of take home beers. Food lovely, everything a British Chinese take away should be. Lovely.

Hands down the best Chinese is Syston

Chips felt like they were from last night, so hard we didn't eat them and lemon chicken was that crispy and hard I couldn't even bite it, won't be using again.

Best tasting chinese food in Syston by a mile. Best Curry, best Beef in Black Bean Sauce. Best bbq spare ribs. Love it!!

Worst chicken and blackbean sauce ever. Boiled old chicken with tasteless sauce. Belly ache. I rather go wongs loughborough road. Ain't touching no Chinese in syston

food great even though gave me the wrong food when i rang to say wrong food they said i ordered the food they gave me and when i went to collect what i originally ordered the customer service was disgusting telling me to go elsewhere in future a massive loss to them eat at least once a week sometimes twice

Best food by far always busy but still worth it

Had a sweet and sour king prawns chicken chow main and chips last night. Prawn balls batter not cooked through leaving it soggy on the inside chips hotted up and of poor quality in all a crap meal. Should have realised when it was delivered as it was very quick. I have been using this takeaway for a long time but as of now for me it's a no go zone.
