Amazing food! Flavours banging and just overall best Chinese I’ve had in a long time deffo our go to from now on thank you! :)

Terrible delivery service we waited over 1 hr and 40 mins and the staff were very rude on the phone .

Lovely food but every single time it takes over an hour to deliver down the road.

The delivery driver was very good, kind and very courteous,I am an old age pensioner and he waited for me to get to the door and smiled and i apologized for my slow progress he said no problem , the food was delicious .Thank you .

The meal was delicious. It was hot and tasted great. I will be ordering from New Garden again.

I’m not one to write bad reviews but rang an order through at 7pm to be delivered for 8pm it arrived 45 mins late and missing part of the order. I double checked the order with them on the phone after giving them and they said I hadn’t ordered it!!! They would deliver but I would have to pay. The manager was talking over me on the phone not helpful and even put the phone down. Will not be using them again!

Ordered 17.15, expected delivery 18.15, then changed to 19.15, but nothing arrived. Phoned the takeaway direct at 19.45 to check why the order hadn’t arrived and I was informed that they hadn’t started cooking it yet.

Ordered on just eat, they took my order and money. Waited 90 minutes which was 15 minutes over the time they stated. We had no food so contact the restaurant to be told they hadn’t even started it. Why take orders just to let customers down. Simply not good enough. Order cancelled and have to go elsewhere.

Called the restaurant..not received the order so had to cancel the order. Ive reordered the food and paid with cash.

First time trying this place. Had to ring up to see where my order was. Chips were cold, rice is more like cous cous. Terrible, will definitely not be ordering from here again. 30 quid wasted!!

Twice now we have ordered with Just Eat and twice the app was updated as saying the food had been delivered. This was not the case! I understand that deliveries can be late but don't update the app until the food has actually been delivered.

The food was good when we finally got it. Over 2 hrs from ordering is not good. I wont be ordering from here agaim for this reason.

The food was swimming in gravy both meals.The meat was not good and the mushrooms were old and wrinkly. I did not enjoy it at all.

The food was disgusting, it had no flavour, the dishes with sauce were like water and the duck well I might as well have been eating overdone pizza crust! Don’t order from here if you actually want decent food!!!

6.22pm I ordered my food and now its 9pm and still not shown up!!! absolutely ridiculous and won't be ordering from here again!!!!!

Spent £67 tonight for the whole family menu states orders over £50 u get additional extras. to start with food was delivered up the street to the neighbour so had to fetch it all items that was supposed to come as extra was missing called the restaurant asked where they was they said they don't do it anymore the menu is 2 years old if you advertise something you should honour it spoke to 2 women on the phone both very rude and unhelpful saying there not going to do anything about it.

This is not the first time we've had issues with this place. Not only was it late as usual after ringing up asking where it is (was told its just left) and still took ages to arrive, but this time most of the cold was barely warm, the crackers we received were chewy and soft and the overall experience was not good at all. Will not returning unfortunately

Spend £60, didn’t receive the side bits and sauce for the duck pancakes and receive the free items stated, when I called they said they didn’t do the free bits for just eat customers (even though it says differently in app) not very good customer service when I went in to collect missing items, when I asked to speak to manger they said she was too busy and wouldn’t come out

Ordered at 5.30pm tonight to collect at 6pm got there at 6pm don’t get my order till 6.25. I ordered chow mein chop Suey mixed meat only got chicken. I always order from here and never had a problem food is always great ☺️ just think more ace less pace sometimes

Always order from here,always happy with the food....until tonight. Found a big sharp piece of plastic in one of the dishes after already eating half of it. Rang the takeaway to let them know, and all they said was bring it back and we will give you another one. The dish was already half eaten on the plate with the rest of the food, so no use to us really. I was more concerned about anyone else choking if they had the same dish. No apology, they wasn't interested. Very very disappointed!

Missed my kids chips and simply offered a refund. Food below usual standard and containers half full. Not impressed. Been using this restaurant for 20+ years, worst experience by far. Will be avoiding them for a while after tonight.

Best chinese in mansfield, salt and pepper options are amazing, the only down side to this place is the prawn crackers but everything else can't be beaten

Food was ok, we spent over £80 for a treat for my mum's birthday, took forever to come, was missing salt and pepper chips and no freebies like stated on their menu. Kinda disappointed.

Disgusting. Used this Chinese for 25 years. This time was smaller portions. Half full tubs of curry. Barely any chips in sausage meals and they were double fried and reheated dry as anything. The spring rolls were frozen in the middle. The chicken balls were tiny and not cooked. We called to explain it wasn't correct to be met with a rude woman who said " our food is good if you don't like it dont eat it" then she hung up on us and wouldn't answer the phone again. Won't be using them again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Definitely not worth the money

One of the best Chinese we order!!! The salt and chilli box is amazing, and have no complaints at all!!!! Delivery is either on time or most likely early, amazing food that’s always hot when delivered and honestly never had any problems❤️

This has always been our go to Chinese restaurant but today that all ends, the meal we had was horrendous, the chicken dishes tasted like washing up liquid! Worst thing we’ve ever experienced! There was definitely something wrong with the chicken! Will never use this restaurant again, totally disappointed.

Took an hour and a half to get here and that was only because I had to ring up that they suddenly had someone to bring the food. I’m not really much of a critique when it comes to the taste of food I’m pretty simple when it comes to food but this really was bland.

Should’ve looked at the reviews before ordering. Took 1 and a half hours since ordering to arrive and that’s only because I rang up and THEN suddenly my food was ready to go. And I’m a simple person when it comes to food I never have complained about taste in my life but this was honestly so bland I can’t even express how bad it is. I really can’t. Will not be returning. I respect the food was warm when it arrived and the spring rolls were OK but the food itself was a huge disappointment

It says on the menu free prawn crackers over £15 we never received any which was disappointing coz had we known we wouldn’t get any we would of ordered some

1hour and 45 minutes from ordering to the food being delivered. Prawn toast - soggy. Crackers - soggy. Chicken balls - genuinely mistaken for beef; brown/grey coloured chewy meat. Other than that the rice was alright.

Ordered from here tonight received 2 dishes of the meal that was overcooked and was burnt. When we contacted the restaurant the crispy beef that we ordered was burnt we was informed we sould of ordered something else if we didnt like it that way ect salt and pepper beef as though we didnt know what we had ordered. The chow mein noodles where also over cooked and told thats how they should be. The lady on the phone was extremely rude towards me and dismissive towards my concerns she refused to replace the dishes and said it was my fault for ordering the wrong ones i have ordered from many Chinese restaurants and never a problem or such a rude response will never order from here again.

Chips were tough , probably re- heated. Ate lots of times before from here and usually beautiful.

Very very greasy, the pancake rolls were oozing with fat or oil. I really didn’t mind it being late as I was informed about it.

Excellent little Chinese takeaway and within only a few minutes of us. We have Chinese takeaways much closer, but this is well worth the extra travel. Highly recommended. A+

Half hour after eating it I threw it all up, should of known really as the rice tasted reheated, disappointed as this was a treat after dieting all week

Quite late, despite ordering online an hour earlier. Curry sauce sent instead of sweet and sour sauce which did not compliment the chicken chow mein. The duck was 10% meat, the rest skin and fat , A shame as the first order placed with New Garden was lovely.

Disgusting. Ordered from here as got it mixed up with our usual chinese (thanks google) the food was delivered in 20 mins which is funny to say the place is a 10+ min drive away .. food was dry, and obviously reheated from the night before. Even my 11 year old chucked hers in the bin and said its too dry.. can't wait for us all to be ill tomorrow 🙄

Don't use these, just waited 2 hours fir the delivery, ruined how movie night, kids was hungry, called twice to chase the food, telled both times it was on the way, chased again and told them two hours is way to long to be waiting for food, she told me on the phone it is what it is, if I don't want the food send it way, then put the phone down, so rude and unpolite

Hi, food really nice, attitude of staff / owner absolutely appalling, ordered for 18:30, received a message from JustEat saying order had been delayed until 18:50, called the restaurant and was told to fetch the order instead of delivery, arrived at the restaurant greeted my an unpleasant owner, very rude and no remorse. Spent just under £100 and half the dishes were missing, I asked for a refund and was told to contact JustEat.

Do not take card payment when u walk in an order plus stunk of drug substance

Pleasant delivery driver, food arrived hot and was tasty. Thank you for the complimentary prawn crackers. Will order again, especially liked the barbecue sauce, which wasn't a "gloopy" consistency sometimes served in a takeaway.

Shocking came 30 mins late couldn’t even bite the shredded chicken it was rock hard ribs was dry will not be ordering again absolute rip off

Unfortunately, it was so very bland. Very bland. Not only that, the noodles tasted how a cheap fry-up cafe smells. They were horrific. I have struggled to find a decent Chinese in Mansfield and yet again, this is not the one. Please don't waste your money with New Garden. I reiterate, this was awful, choose another mediocre Mansfield Chinese.

Very late delivery, dry and cold food. Tasted like yesterdays left overs warmed up. Now me and my partner are both violently sick and unwell after eating barely any! Will be contacting food hygiene this place don’t deserve to be running

AVIOD AT ALL COSTS!!!! (FOOD POISONING) Ordered our food at 6pm tonight, it took 2.5hours to come, me and my mrs both started feeling sick a couple hours later, having not eaten anything else all day apart from a sandwich we made, we are now being violently sick and have diarrhoea as well as both are in agony with stomach pains! We had the crispy Shredded chicken, do not order from these no matter what!

Ordered food at 1800 to be told would be an hour, called 90 minutes later to be told was being cooled and ‘was the busiest day’. At 2000 called again to be told the driver had left 19 minutes ago! We live two minutes drive away! Put the phone down on me and the driver arrived 20 minutes later! Very poor either be honest with customers or lose customers!
