The wildflower gardens are fabulous and a lot of hard work has gone into extending the gardens. I love the poppy borders but the cornflowers are wonderful. Scones are so light and fluffy, such a treat. I love visiting the gardens and quality plant In the plant centre to take home. One of my favourite gardens to visit so lucky to not live too far away.

We have been going here for years and always loved it, however, we were disappointed on this visit as it no longer feels restful and a hidden gem, but very much buisness focused, disappointing as seemed over priced and sad that the lavender field has not been restored. I wish them well for the future but will probably not go as often as we once did

Wonderful little find! I was looking for somewhere to take my Mother-in-law for a cup of tea and found this as we were staying in the New Forest nearby. We arrived with our dogs and the staff were friendly and accommodating to us and the dogs. We were seated outside in their idyllic garden and we had a fabulous lavender themed cream tea and lavender macaroons which were both delicious. They have a tiny gift shop and splendid little garden centre. Although the actual Lavender field does not exist as it used to, we were told they have planted other things in the field which should be in their full glory in July! And yes we bought three Lavender plants from the shop which will always remind us of our visit to this peaceful place. Thank you!

8 adults and. 2 small children sat down to tea to celebrate my Husbands birthday. Our daughter had booked a table which when we arrived was ready for us including a high chair for the 18 month old. We ordered tea, which were all different choices. Service was quick and efficient and the food excellent. After tea we had a look around the gift shop. My daughter was looking for lavender products such as soap or similar. It would have been good to find something but quite understand that this may be difficult. It was unfortunate that we visited in October as of course the lavender was over. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable time looking around the garden, taking photos making for memories of a most enjoyable afternoon. We will certainly return when the lavender is in full bloom and of course partake of another delicious tea. Thank you for a very pleasant afternoon with great memories. Sheila B Nursling Southampton

I placed my order at 10.50am for two cheese scones and drinks. The drinks were delivered reasonable promptly but we then waited, waited and waited and just before I was about to ask for a refund the scones appeared. Our drinks had been consumed long before the food appeared. Now they were quite lovely; warm, fresh and tasty but..... A 40 minute wait is unacceptable and the excuse of being a small family business doesn't quite cut it; employ more staff and get organised, the business has grown and they haven't kept up. The prices are high; £4.50 for a cheese scone and if you add 2 slices of bacon this jumps to £7.95; an extra £3.25, this is outrageous. Overall my score reflects, in my opinion, the long waiting times and the ridiculous pricing.

Llamado a Lavender Tearooms ayer. No te molestes

Went with my granny, mum and sister as they had a vegan menu and I’d seen great reviews. Even on a rainy day it was lovely. We all had mains then coffees and cakes. Mains were simple but yummy, cakes were the real highlight. They even asked for feedback on their vegan shortbread they were trying out! (More of a biscuit but still yummy). The gift shop is nice for a peruse... We will need to return when it’s not raining to check out the gardens! Recommend you book as it got full pretty quickly and there was a reservation after ours.

I imagine most visitors to these shores plan on having a typical English “tea”. They could do worse than come to the Lavender Tearooms. I have always loved a good cream tea in a beautiful setting and I was not disappointed. I have lived close to here for 25 years and this is the first time I have visited, it will not be the last!Yes it was busy. … on a hot July lunchtime with tables dotted around the delightful garden, most of them miraculously finding some shade.Although they were clearly very busy at a peak time, our order came commendably quickly – plenty of staff and obviously well organised. My wife’s Goat cheese salad, with the local Rosary Ash goat cheese and beetroot salad was excellent in flavour as well as beautifully presented. Sadly, the “Gardeners Lunch” which I had chosen was only the latter. The promised “chunk” of “mature” cheddar was a sliver of very ordinary cheese with very little flavour, the mini pork pie was a cocktail nibble with hardly any flavour at all and the two miniature loaves were pretty to look at but tiny and tasteless. Branston Pickle is OK as a homely touch though, to be honest, there are many far better alternatives readily available these days.I am very happy to try a different take on the conventional ploughman’s lunch. Nevertheless, for £10.95 I would expect rather more.We will certainly return to the delightful New Forest Lavender – but hoping for better things on my plate.

My wife had visited here previously during the week and said how good the food was (light bite). So my wife, eldest son and I visited on a Saturday in June (2018).... scorchio! Needless to say it extremely busy. Not all the seating was shaded and with little other choice we grabbed a table in full sunlight, this was until a shaded table became available and we grabbed it. This made a massive difference as mid day full-sum would not have been nice. I chose a “gardeners lunch” which appeared to be a ploughman’s at I believe £10.95..... it was evident that a gardener is not as hungry as a ploughman! The plate was somewhat sparse, the quality of what was there was good but you could see it was there to make money. Quality..... excellentValue for money..... poorAtmosphere...... livelyService....... wait to get served, poorService..... time from order to delivery..... very good considering the busyness. The menu is geared for minimal preparation i.e. minimal cooking time. Prices probably £1.00-2.00 more than similar elsewhere for the quantity. Wheelchair friendly-ish, bit of nifty steering required. Dog friendly, on a lead and well behaved.

Found this place by chance and it is so cute. A lovely setting surrounded by beautifully kept gardens. The staff are very welcoming and ensure your visit is a good one. The cream teas are very nice, the lavender scone won’t be for everyone. I would request they offer scones with raisins in as that would seal the 5 stars. The lunch food is good and home made, but is expensive for what it is. The croll sandwich is very nice. At least visit for the cream tea and beautiful surroundings.

We were recommended this place, and although it was far too early for the lavender to be out, the cafe was packed and it is easy to see why. We had already had lunch, so had tea and cake (the lavender and coconut was delicious). Lots of tables outside, ideal as we had the dog with us, and seeing some of the lunches coming out to other tables, we will be going back for lunch when next in the area (we were on holiday). The staff are wonderful, especially as I had to drive back as I had dropped an artificial stem of lavender and didn't realise until I got back to the hotel! Luckily it had been found by staff in the nursery near the cafe. Delightful little gem of a place, oh and it's got a gift shop!

My wife and I have been planning to visit New Forest Lavender Farm & Tea Rooms for almost 10 years since it first open. Unfortunately, living just a few miles away, we never seemed to find the time until today! We arrived just after 10.00 am and, after walking around the gardens which have a traditional cottage feel, made our way to the tea rooms for coffee... only to be tempted by the delicious sounding cakes shown on the specials board. We ordered a cafetiere of coffee, which provided enough for four cups, and two pieces of homemade cake - chocolate fudge for my wife and ginger sponge for me. Having ordered at the counter, it wasn't long before the coffee and cake had arrived and we were particularly impressed at how the cake was presented with sprinkled icing sugar and sprigs of lavender. It may sound simple, but it looked very sophisticated! As the weather was warm and sunny, we were sat outside surrounded by flowers and a very friendly robin who shared a few cake crumbs with me. It was truly idyllic and we could have easily spent the entire day drinking coffee and relaxing in the gardens. The staff were friendly and efficient, and there was also a gift shop selling some unusual items with a country and/or lavender theme. There was even a self-service "cushion box" for those who wanted to be more comfortable while sitting on the wooden chairs! We have never seen this offered anywhere else and, because my wife and I both have some spinals issues, we took advantage of this facility returning the cushions to the box as we left. Should we have waited 10 years before visiting? No! Will we return again in the near future? Most definitely.

Whilst in the area we were recommended to visit the Lavender Tearooms - - set in beautiful gardens. The only issue was the amount of wasps which is obviously not any fault of the Tearoom and we managed to zip ourselves into a special sealed tent but it did spoil an otherwise excellent visit.I guess this is only a temporary situation and next time we visit the area the wasp season will be over.I was a little surprised however that we were expected to pay to enter the lavender gardens after already paying quite a large amount for our cream teas.

Visited for the first time today. The surroundings were beauty. We tried the cream teas with lavender scones as we're at the Lavender Tearooms! They were delicious but possibly next time I would just have a plain scone as the lavender was slightly stronger than I liked. My only issue was the wasps....at one stage we had 5 on our plates. I appreciate this is somewhat out of the control of staff but it did mar our visit slightly, certainly my little daughter struggled with the wasps. Next time we'd visit.....out of wasp season! I am surprised at the comments by IFlyHighAsTheSky as I am a customer there once or twice a month and have never had a problem with the food or the service. I have only twice in 5 years seen a customer feel that something was wrong and on both occasions the staff put it right immediately even when the customer had changed their mind about what they had ordered. Maybe IFlyHighAsTheSky's expectations was too high for a tea shop, and I wonder if she/he actually brought this to the attention to the staff. I and my friends will still support them as we love their tea, coffee cake and lunches - absolutely scrummy!

The place is as lovely and charming as the reviews say however I was very disappointed when I ordered a cafe latte only to discover it was a latte mix of instant coffee and some weird caramel type mixture. There was nothing on the menu to indicate this. I could easily have had an expresso had I been told but the tearooms seemed to have no concerns that I had been given something and paid for something very different from my expectations. In these days of transparency I find this completely unacceptable and shocking. I was offered no apology, refund or replacement coffee.

been here a few years back when I worked as an au pair in England. I remember it being a lovely, warm & sunny day and the tea and cake was fantastic. I've just moved back to England and am sure I'll go back to this place!

I visited this tea room one Saturday afternoon. I phoned on the day and booked a table last minute, glad I did,as it was quite busy. A very popular tearoom with very efficient service and staff. The food was delicious, especially the lavender scone! The gift shop has lots of nice different things to buy and it was lovely to walk round the gardens looking at the various flowers and plants. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning. Enjoy!

Great food, friendly and helpful staff and a very pretty environment. Lavender is added to some of the cakes and makes a delicious change ..

We were lucky with the weather when we visited on Sunday before May bank holiday Monday. Expected it to be busy so booked a table for three indoor but when we arrived the weather had picked up and we found a table outside and cancelled the one inside.Signage off the A36 is not very obvious and our friend had trouble finding the turning into Giles Street. It is a small lavender farm with a small garden centre with very good quality plants so slightly more expensive I guess. The little cafe is lovely with approx 10 small tables indoor and plenty of tables outside in the small but stunning little garden. There is also a a wooden gazebo with approx 6 tables which offers shelter from rain (but not heated I suspect) There are wild birds galore. We were feeding a robin with scone crumbs only to see her feed her young on the ground right next to us!! :-)The menu is on the small side but everything we had was delicious: cream tea, savoury scone with salad, walnut and date cake and a filled seeded bun. It is not cheap but everything home made and fresh.Only thing I missed would have been to be able to walk around the farm a bit more.Maybe we could have gone for walk in the area of Landford but were not familiar with it.

WE love this place , food excellent and lovely surroundings BUT last Wednesday and recently at weekends and other days most of the cafes small number of indoor tables have been reserved for a large number of people leaving only 2 tables to sit at!We took one table and another 2 ladies struggled to get up to the only seats left which were on high stools. WHY????? the appeal is that it is a cafe therefore no booking needed, Ok so its popular but this ruins the experience as looking for a table when they are all reserved is not part of the fun!It is a cafe not a restaurant and unless the owners want LESS people to visit please reserve only one large table if absolutely needed as otherwise a visit is ruined !

I recently visited here with my Aunt, she had been many times before and really likes it. First impressions I thought it a beautiful. It has plants and flowers for sale although a bit pricey £7 for an Allium!? The tea room was sweet and beautifully decorated with lavender. We ordered cream tea for 2 which came to £11/£12 which I thought was a lot!But the scones were delicious and fresh, we sat out side as it was a gorgeous day and it was wonderful watching all the little birds. I would recommend visiting here but I suggest with out young children as it is aimed at the more mature age. It's very relaxing. TIP: there is more parking around the side

I think my title is a good summation. Lovely hot drinks and great selection of rather nice home made cakes (including some with Lavender in them). Very pleasant, well-scrubbed ambiance and staff too.If you also like garden centres (I'm not that bothered LOL) then it's a top destination for a Sunday afternoon drive. It's on the way from Southampton to Salisbury so you could combine it with a trip to Old Sarum or the Cathedral. My review is from the point of view of a cyclist so I should say that I'm told they attempted to charge £1 for topping up someone's water bottle from the tap - but I only heard that secondhand, so it could just be an urban myth. Best top up your water bottle before you arrive though LOL.

Nice food , unfortunately they messed our order up so we ate separately I also think that with a cream tea that the tea and scones should arrive at the same time not 10 minutes apart To be fair when I complained they provided me with more teaI would possibly visit again although I feel they need more organisation and probably an extra member of staff

Love going here with friends. The inside space is cramped so although you could take a buggy in...it's tight? Outside space in gardens is lovely. Food is home made and yummy. Most have a lavender touch/flavour. If you don't like wasps in the summer...eat savoury!

I first found out about this place a few years back, and began taking friends and family here. In the summer, its like sitting out in heaven, the gardens are fabulous. It can get a little busy during these summer times so you just have to be a little patient, but the staff are wonderful and the food fantastic. I have to say, as a keen baker myself, this placedo some of the best cakes I have ever tasted. So often I get to places and think, I could have done that better myself, well, not here. There lemon curd cake, sticky ginger cake, apricot cake among many others stand out for me, and their scones are delicious, particularly the lavender ones. Food is also very good, my favourite is always the winter menu and the homemade soups they do, why can I never get mine to taste the same at home!! The prices are very reasonable for lunch, not at all expensive for fantastic quality food. I now come here regularly with my mum, friends and with my volunteer work. I can honestly say it's my favourite little tea room. They've kept it simple and they do it well.

We visited this tea room on Sunday - lovely gardens (bit out of shape now but it's end of season) There is a small car park and as it wasn't that busy when we visited it was easy to park. I placed my order in the wooden lodge, no mention from the assistant that you needed to take your own cutlery but we found out later that you should. There is no cake counter which is a real shame just a list of what is available and personally I like to see what's on offer. Our drinks were delivered fairly quickly then my lavender shortbread followed - no mention of the scone that I had ordered as part of my husbands cream tea. We waited and nothing appeared - after 20 minutes we asked a chap clearing tables and he said he would check - a few minutes later it arrived but by this time we had finished our drinks and the scone was rather late. No knife to cut the scone, no napkin so hubby then had to go and get that. It wasn't that busy so I was disappointed with the experience - it's certainly not somewhere I would rush back to.

If you are a fan of lavender you will love this place. The menu has a lavender theme but there are non lavender foods on the menu. Always very accommodating and nothing ever too much trouble. Gets very busy so would recommend booking a table. Nice seating area outside if weather good. Nice garden centre area to look round before or after.

Beautiful and peaceful gardens with interesting plants for sale and a lovely tea room, offering excellent quality food. Just off the M27, but within minutes of being in this tranquillity, many modern stresses are forgotten! We will return - possibly out of the wasp season :-)

This is a place my husband and I go to as often as we are in the area.It is particularly nice when the lavender is at its best and the sun is out & you can sit outside. The scones are lovely, some of the best I've tried. This is not a place for children really as others have said, adults that love plants and lovely cake will find it perfect!

Lovely Gardens to be enjoyed, not a place for children as it is tightly planted which is good as it can be appreciated for what it is, wild flowers and rows of lavender. The gardens are lovely to sit in to absorb the surroundings, which is also used by the tea room, tables in the sun or gazebos for the shade well thought out, there are tables in the tea room, which was also nice and clean and there is a small shops selling a few bits of jewellery and lavender products. The Lavender Cream Tea and the Lavender Shortbread Biscuits were delicious. Not a huge place but you can buy plants and just enjoy the surroundings.

Lovely cafe with large selection of cakes, sandwiches and decent coffee. we stopped here to refuel whilst riding King Alfred's Way. Friendly staff, clean toilets, sensible Covid precautions and next door to a little Nisa shop for anything else you need

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Food was lovely, my boyfriend and I haven’t enjoyed a meal as much as that in a while. Food and drinks are low price, especially considering the portion size. Service was good; they were fast and they made sure everything was okay. Definitely coming back☺️
