Great food ,nice people and prices are not too bad

Absolutely fabulous! Food was tasty super hot and abundant! Loved it thanks so much we will deffo use again!

Had used another Chinese takeaway for years but the owners retired, tried it with the new people and numerous others but not up to the same standard… then my neighbour suggested New Dragon Inn and since then I won’t use any other. The food is always excellent, great quality and portions and no skimping on the meat, and has always come piping hot. Drivers and the ladies on the phone are always friendly too. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

This was our first takeaway meal from New Dragon Inn and the food was, without a doubt, the best Chinese takeaway food we’ve ever eaten. We ordered the set meal for 4 people and every dish was delicious. We all had plenty of food and there were leftovers for the next day too. We would definitely recommend and will be using New Dragon Inn again.

Possibly the best Chinese iv ever had everything cooked perfectly not greasy at all and priced really well too

Ordered to collect. The food was ready in time and brilliant. We had a salt and pepper share box and was more than enough for 3 of us for a treat supper.

Just picked up 2 meals from here. I had house special chow mein and hubby had chicken chow mein. The beef resembled slimy rubber as did the chicken. Will not be going there again. Waste of £11.20 that was because it's all in the bin.

I had sweet and sour king prawn with mushroom fried. Generous size rice, plenty of egg in it. Prawns in a nice crispy batter but not to thick, nice mix of veg as well. Got a free half bag of prawn crackers which were nice, not thick and chewy. I thought how clean the overall appearance of the shop was inside, even the fish tank was spotless. This was my first visit but not my last, I will be back.

Order from here regular. Best chinese food in Chesterfield.

The only good I can say about my recent experience of this takeaway is the service which is always efficient. We have used this takeaway on many occasions in the past and always been happy with the quality, however on the last two occasions it has been terrible!! If that was served to me in a restaurant I would have sent it straight back, but ofcourse with recent lockdown that is not responsible. Makes me wonder if that is what they are relying on? We usually have the same thing, crispy duck, plum sauce and yung chow fried rice and chips. The chips and rice looked and tasted as though they had been re heated several times, and the crispy duck too, as it was hard as rock and the meat inside dried up and flavourless. This was supposed to be a birthday treat!!! Very disappointed and needless to say will not be going back, total waste of money!

Fabulous, good food, delivered in the time stated and best prawn crackers ever. Would highly recommend.

Rang and placed order at 6. Said order would be with me within an hour. Rang an hour and a half later and they said they hadn’t even started cooking mine yet. So cancelled. Won’t be ordering from there again.

Slow service. When I got home found it was not what I ordered. Phoned up and was told it was my fault. No offer to correct order just told it was my fault. CASH only which in the current environment is not good practice. Poor customer service. Will not be returning.

Asked for crispy shredded chicken with no vegetables but it came with veg, it was replaced with the same crispy shredded chicken without veg but all i could taste is onion... disgusting will never order from here again

Ordered a meal consisting of egg fried rice. Meal was delivered with some form of meat fried rice, I rang & told them she tried to tell me beef was egg, or I was confusing rice for noodles. She agreed to redeliver the egg fried rice, again I was given a meat based dish. By this time the rest of my food was cold. The lady still continued to argue that egg was meat. She then proceeded to call me stupid and then started calling me to the delivery driver. Rude & arrogant, who doesn't know the difference between meat & egg! I've always ordered from this Chinese but never against! I will be reporting to the environmental health, I dread to think of the contamination taking place.

Great food, cheap prices will do meals with items missing (i dont eat seafood/crustations but will accommodate my dietary needs if there is something I want) The staff are friendly and really polite.

I wouldn’t bother wasting your money on this place. Just ordered fillet steak, egg fried rice and chicken balls. Don’t know what we’d been given but it certainly wasn’t edible, the lot went in the bin. £13.50 down the drain. Only positive was the free parking outside.

We ordered our food in the takeaway and the service was good with friendly staff. The food was nice and prompt and hot when we arrived home with it (5mins). The only downside was not being able to pay by card as it's cash only.

Absolutly beautiful. Don't really like Chinese food but New dragon inn has converted me. Delivery very quick and very generous with the portions. Well worth the money

Tried this out as we're looking for a good take-away not far from Calow. We were not disappointed. Quick service, delicious hot food and generous portions. For us a good test is the Singapore style rice noodles. The New Dragon served up a brilliant dish, nicely spiced and well done (many just chuck curry powder at some noodles with a few extra bits thrown in - not nice). Definitely value for money. Recommend them!

Fantastic meal,first one weve had from here and definitely wont be our last,plenty of meat and prawns in our chow mein and sweet and sour,very flavoursome,plenty of it too and chips were gorgous.
