New Dragon Chinese Takeaway in Thanet

I ordered a delivery includes ribs noodles rice and chicken satay all the food was fine apart from the RIBS I paid £6.60 for. However there was no meat on the bones. I paid for a box of BONES. When I called to ask why there was no meat on my ribs they were very rude and told me that that’s just how they come. So I continued to ask for a refund on the ribs and they declined as that’s just how the ribs come apparently! I EILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN AND IF YOU WANT MEAN ON UR RIBS THEN I SUGGEST GOING TO A DIFFERENT CHINESE !!!! i am very disappointed.

We order food from here at least once a week and it’s by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area. If they’re closed (Mondays or for Chinese new year) we’ll go without rather than elsewhere. The food is always freshly cooked and not greasy and bland like many of the others. Been using this place for years and never been disappointed. Cannot understand the couple of scathing reviews here - suspect that they’re intentionally malicious.

Bought just barbecued spare ribs this evening. The service was quick even though I ordered it, popped into the local shop then came back and it was ready. I found it extremely disappointed in the end as the sauce was so runny, hardly any flavour and not enough meat, not nice and too much fat, including one large piece of fat. £6.00 wasted! I have been to a better one. Not worth going there and I do not recommend it at all. Sorry

Been using this takeaway all my life, always delicious and never lets us down! Other Chinese takeaways in Thanet don’t compare to new dragon!

£9.30 for a Duck Curry and Fried Rice, quite expensive for the area, and only of average size and quality. The Duck pieced were roasted, but appeared to be leg meat, not breast. The sauce and rice were tasty enough, fresh and with no lumps, service was polite and fast.

The best meal we have ever had from a takeaway. Lots of good for the price. Will be returning very soon.

Ordered on phone and picked up in ten minutes. Food was hot and looked and tasted fresh. Great takeaway experience!

Mediocre food, never answer their phone and then always over an hour to deliver! Always ask to pay by cash too so prime for tax review I think!

Excellent house chow mien & special fried rice. The best pancake rolls locally. Nice chicken & mushroom. The special curry only had chicken & Pork in it which was a shame as it tasted good. Only disappointment was the crispy beef. Poor portion size & quite tough. The sauce was too runny so didn’t stick to the beef. Overall very good & I will use them again just avoiding the dishes that weren’t that good as the dishes that were good were excellent

Ordered food for collection and it was bang on time lady was polite and attentive Let's start with the food Singapore vermicelli oh what a triumph packed with meat all cooked perfectly soft tender rammed with flavour steaming hot hit the spot perfect. Chicken wings ....crispy big homemade sweet chilli sauce you could tell it wasn't out of a tub fried in peanut oil my daughter finished the lot Pancake roll...I've never had that much veg and meat crammed in a pancake roll ever again hot inside packed with gorgeous pork hats off again !! Curry sauce ....to die for Thick full of cumin and coriander silky smooth Topped off with some tasty crisp prawn crackers Taste the freshness Taste the authentic Keep up the good work guys see u at the weekend

Great Chinese, good value and good delivery service. Meal for 4 is good value with enough for 5 or 6 people

Had my first meal from here last night, was really nice lovely pork balls. One slight down side was the bbq ribs which didn’t have much flavour, but everything else was tasty 😋

Food is OK, but have had better. Some staff can be quite rude, although others very polite. Chips appalling !

Not our usual Chinese take away but thought we would give them a try. Lady on the phone was very helpful & the food arrived hot & on time, friendly delivery driver. Food was all good but unfortunately still not quite as good as our usual place The Royal Dragon in Birchington. Probably won’t use again unfortunately purely for this reason

Our usual take away was closed last year and we tried the New Dragon then and was very impressed. Another meal from there last week for all the family. Phone very busy so we drove up to order and within 15 minutes our food was ready for collection. Good size portions, very tasty and we were very pleased with what we had. Can recommend.

ordered a couple of times here now when visiting my friend in birchington, friendly and helpful lady on the phone, quick delivery and food was great, highly recommended

had a takeaway delivered and it made us both ill. The food arrived tepid and had to be re heated. The pancake rolls were so greasy and soggy had to throw these away. food had no flavour and sweet and sour sauce was awful, greasy and tasteless. Have used this take away before but won`t be going back they must have changed the chef. Up all night after eating this meal. Really disappointing and wasted our hard earned money.needless to say we will never go back fo another meal to the New Dragon.

We had a Friday night takeaway, called in placed the order and within 10 minutes it was ready. Nice staff & meal.

Always reliable, the food here retains its colour and crunch with generous amounts of vegetables in many of the dishes.

Ok food. Price just ok. Flavours aren't there. Average food for ok prices. Nothing to write home about.

Since we moved to Thanet a few months ago we've used this take away, located in The Square, Birchington, on a number of occasions. When we ring them the phone is always answered promptly and the staff are polite and friendly. We always opt for the food to be delivered, free of charge, and it always arrives within the time stated and, more importantly, it's always piping hot, well cooked and very tasty, full of tender meat and not cheap ingredients to bulk it out, e.g. bean sprouts. The prices are good too, certainly not over priced. It's our favourite Chinese take away in the area.

Blimey!! What's happened here?? We're not sure!! The waitress or owner??is arrogant obnoxious and damn right rude! We think she should be kept at home and not let no where this restaurant. It's a pity really because the food is good,cooked well and presented how it should be. The wine which we ordered was Chablis.. Very suspect indeed!! Taste wrong!! Label wrong!! And well it just wasn't a Chablis. Maybe a cheap wine with a label that indicates it's not what it seems!!! Just seems that you should no this all before you visit here.

Used many times. If we are having a Chinese takeaway this is the one we use. Good food and good value
