New City Kebab in Canterbury

Had a takeaway tonight ordered on just eat was a pile of s..t cold chips and burger donor was cold and dried up like it had been sitting there for hours wanted burger sauce on the donor and they put bbq sauce on it instead just don't go onion rings were over cooked and burnt over all it was disgusting won't go back

Awful. If I could give zero stars I would. I have ordered from this place previously and the food was good. Tonight however the hawaiin pizza was burnt and incredibly salty, i tried eating a couple of slices but was it was too salty. I called to let them know that it wasn't to their usual standard and the person on the phone was incredibly rude, shouted at me and hung up. I called back and he told me the line went dead. I was then shouted at some more. I was told if I hadn't eaten any food I could have a refund, which as previously advised I had eaten some of the pizza as I wouldn't have known it was inedible otherwise! The other pizza and wedges were fine and were partially eaten. I was told that a refund of £10 would be delivered to my door within 30 minutes... that was 50 minutes ago and not yet recieved. Refund or not I will never order from this rude man again!!! I wouldn't recommend at all!!!!

We ordered a week prior and it took well over an hour to arrive but the owner apologised over the phone so we decided to try again. It took over an hour to arrive this time and when it did it was cold. I ordered the burger meal which came with a drink, which was missing. When we phoned the shop to ask for the drink we were berated and told that it’s not cold as it was made fresh. The owner then said he’ll send someone out, I asked if this was for the full meal as we couldn’t eat it, he responded saying no just the drink. I am still waiting for the drink!

I’ve ordered from new city a couple of times both times I’ve got food poisoning the first time I just thought maybe it was just a bad batch so I gave them another try and got food poisoning again

1st time ordering and the last time

Usually really enjoy the food from New City but your only as good as your last order which was sadly 1star. Shish cooked on grill and not on coals and was dry, burger bun was rock hard & over cooked but burger was under cooked & nuggets were rock hard... 3 meals not edible or expected quality. Took 40 minutes for walk in, clearly short staffed and calls and emails distracting from cooking. Food was of poor quality, service was non existent and will not be returning to waste money. Hope others have a better experience but would avoid on busy nights

Terrible food, service was absolutely awful, woudlnt waste my money here again as couldn’t feed the food to my dog. Don’t even bother.

Used to use this all the time but paying for an extra large and the portion size was a regular portion sizes been bad for some time shame

Doesnt deserve a star. No Communication. Unable to contact them due to line busy constantly. Food hasnt turnt up, - Ignore reviews on just eat etc! Shocking Service! Waiting for an hour and a half... no information at all.

Food takes over 2 hours to arrive and items missing phone lines don’t work and no communication with the restaurant what a joke !!!!

So after waiting over an hour for delivery, I call the number Uber eats gives me for when you want to know an update on delivery, which comes up with a random mobile number for a woman that even isn't at the restaurant. After, I call the main restaurant and there line is busy wait a few minutes... Look on their website and it says restaurant is closed... We've already waited an hour so definitely plenty of time, but yet still nothing shows up, call the restaurant again but again line was busy. Now after coming up 2 hours waiting time, I've given up and going to bed. I'll be calling up the restaurant tomorrow when they open and demanding my money back. If I could give this a 0star then that would be the case. Absolutely appalling

Been there to try them as my lunch but couldn’t make it. They were very busy in chatting n I don’t bother to wait when there’s plenty of eating places around.

I order on kebab mid say to me 6 after 6.50 I give 7 pounds and give me change 30p the food was all burn no taste and cover all the burn whit garlic mayo like I order frist time order and the shet kebab ever

Lamb kebab and kofta was cooked on the grill instead of over coals. Too fatty and tasted rancid. Smothered in sauce and served without bread. Whole meal went in the bin. Worst kebab experience I've ever had.

Amazing food, ordered the chicken burger deal with garlic bread. Spoke to one of the staff members over the phone and he was lovely and very helpful. The delivery driver (Steve) was a star too, he asked me how day was and was very kind, which is the first time a delivery driver has actually really spoken to me and told me to enjoy my meal. Thank you so much, I will definetly be ordering from you again.

This was absolutely disgusting I ordered a burger meal that was suppose to come with a drink and it didn’t, the boxes it came it was squashed and I also ordered a 12 nugget meal and only got 8... when I rung them up they were rude.

Uncooked chicken with very bad customer service

Absolutely disgusting service. Didn’t get what we ordered. Phoned through to say we hadn’t got what we ordered, then redelivered the missing food only to be completely wrong. Phoned through again and the guy, Hassan, was just shouting at me and laughing with his colleagues because I was complaining. Told me I wasn’t going to get anything. The delivery lady arrived back and spoke to me to try and smooth it over. They then started shouting at her while she was trying to sort the issue with me. She ended up getting overwhelmed and told Hassan and his lackeys that she was leaving, whilst I was still on the phone. I then got disconnected. I’m looking forward to speaking to the manager because the delivery girl is lovely and very friendly. But the other staff are clearly ignorant. I heard one person in the background saying something about spitting. Which I’d imagine would obviously be in the food. Absolute disgrace. This company does not deserve to have a license for business. I look forward to speaking to the manager to see what he’s got to say for his appalling staff. Do not order from these people!

Placed our order for 7 on new years eve. Got the order wrong. And after returning to inform them order was wrong and 1 item was cold. Got a disgusted look told me i was lying and when asked for a refund got told i could not have one. And after raised voices my money was thrown to me across the counter. 5 stars for rudeness, 5 stars for arguing and 4 stars for dirty looks. What a ungrateful and rude person will never return as a customer again.

Took 25 minutes to arrive even though we ordered at 8pm the requested delivery time stated 9.05 20 minutes later still no food so started a just eat live chat then it arrived 5 minutes after that I requested no cheese in my burger yet it came with cheese i couldnt eat it The extras for the pizza came on a different pizza alltogether so we wanted 1 all the meats with mushroom extra cheese and stuffed crust what we got was a all the meat pizza with no added toppings and a pizza we didnt order with just mushroom and cheese and a stuffed crust Not impressed

Avoid this kebab house!! If I could give this place no stars I would. We ordered and were told half hour for delivery. An hour and 10 minutes later we realise they didn't even ask for our address and we call them back. They say our order will be with us in 2 minutes, and it was. So it had clearly just been sitting there waiting for our call. Our order was burnt and cold and no sauces we had requested. So we call back. They say they will send sauce and more wedges. Great right? Nope, still wrong. Only 2 of the 3 sauces ordered and now the kebab was freezing cold and the wedges didn't have the requested cheese. We call back. Only to be told that they only took 2 minutes so our order couldn't possibly be cold, it was a ten minute wait for the sauce so it was freezing as it was on the verge of being cold when it was originally delivered. Then they said they tried to call me back after the original order was placed But I didn't answer, when I challenged this as no one called i was then told they couldn't get through as my number came up as private. This is a lie, you have to actively set this on your phone and I didn't. They were clearly not going to sort our order, we were left to not be able to eat as a family and had to resort to ordering new food from Bay Kebabs instead, which I would give 5 stars in case you were wondering! Bad food, bad service and bad attitude. Will never order from here again.

Disappointing-we usually order from here and it's great but tonight our order was cancelled; this is the second time this has happened leaving us to resort to either finding another take away and waiting even longer to eat or scrape together what we have left in the house-very disappointing.
