Ordered a meal that included chicken and it was undercooked, like mushy, contained like fat/jelly. Ordered the same meal some months ago and it was the same. I ordered another chicken meal last year and it was the same type of chicken. The chips they use are frozen, but they always come overcooked, I think they're frozen chips that are fried in oil. The whole meal was a bit bland. Have lived in Hebburn for around 4 years and it's the worse place I've lived in for poor quality takeaways. And the prawn crackers are always soft for some unknown reason. I won't be ordering from them again.

Driver got out the car was sick on the pavement and then tried to hand us our food and argued when we said we did not want the food. They then said they would not give us a refund.

Very good food , quick delivery and piping hot ! Service on the phone is always impeccable polite young man on the phone. Would definitely recommend and order again !

Absolutely disgusting had crispy won ton as a starter and it had mould inside phoned and got threatened and abused down phone by the owner. Never would I recommend this place I'm Currently going throw trading standards.

I dont tend to leave a review unless rating is far from what I experience for this takeaway mixed sweet sour balls onlion rings and beef and mushroom with boiled rice all was 4 stars and above other then beef and mushroom the sauce is far to over whelming but still nice

Had a cracking chinese from here yesterday, had 6 different dishes, all were excellent. Inside its untidy because they are not using the seating area anymore, but as a takeaway it's fantastic

Always had pretty good food from here, however the last 2 times has been rank. No flavour, horrid runny sauce and just looks nasty. Won't use again.

Got a mixed chow main, all noodles on the bottom and everything else on the top, not even in the same sause. Also forgot some thing from my order so had to go in away, and the place looks like a dump

Terrible experience - food was an hour and 35 mins late. Ordered at 6:35 via just eat - said arrival latest 8:10pm driver arrived at 8:35 with the wrong food, called the restaurant asked them to cancel the order and provide a refund and told the driver is on his way with our order. Finally arrived 9:45.

I'm extremely disappointed with this Thai green curry, its very gloopy and overpowering with spice which I am guessing is used to overshadow the tasteless vegetables and chicken. I usually don't leave food reviews but it was soo appalling I felt obliged.

Honestly disgusting! Dont waste your money. Waited 3 hours and spent £40 for it to just go in the bin! No flavour at all, what flavour is there tastes absolutly rank and all the dishes taste exactly the same! Dont bother wasting your money!!! What a disgusting end to 2022!

Over a month we have waited for a refund of £40.00 for our food that we waited 3.5 hours for that didn't arrive, believe me we called several times to see where it was and had to give up and order a McDonald's, I even have the receipt , order number and a bank statement but apparently there was no order/they couldn't find the order...how strange..... DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!! they will literally just take your money for nothing

After waiting for two hours our food did not arrive. I appreciate there were road works but our directions were clear and we have been delivered to many times. This is a known address and I had to chase for updates. Not good enough.

Very good Chinese, some evenings there's a really long wait for delivery (2 hours is the longest we've had) so I normally collect but the food is always worth the effort.

Do not use this Chinese, plenty much better! Missing food when delivered, had to go and collect myself with 0 apologies! Tasteless stodgy rice. Will never use again and I suggest you don’t either!

Delivered food 40 minutes early and left on the doorstep. refused to take back when told no one home. Refused to take the food back or offer refund.

Delivered food 40 minutes before the time they said and left it on yhe doorstep as no one was home. The delivery driver rang me and refused to take it back. I phoned the shop who also refused to take it back offer a replacement or a refund. When we unpacked the order to microwave some of it. It was also wrong. So don't bother wasting your money

From 2005 to 2019, as a once or twice a year holidaymaker I dined here almost every night, the food excellent and very good value. In 2020, for obvious Covid reasons, they were restricted to takeaways. I visited on 19th July - aargh, it's still takeaway only. They still have the tables and chairs so what's the problem? I suggested they amend their website as it claims you can dine in, a week later this has not been done. Would it be cynical to suspect they hope prospective diners will turn up and say 'alright then I'll have a takeaway'? Not possible if you're not local - hugely frustrating.

We are visitors to the area, we tried 3 Chinese takeaways close to us but all had a 2 hour wait...so we went further afield and found the China house...and thank god we did....I have 5 kids ( teenagers ) and everyone absolutely loved the food ...not a single complaint....lovely temperature...a real quality Chinese ...loved it....friendly staff and good prices....I would highly recommend......good job 👌

If I could give —5 or more I would. Receptionist Charlie who been there nearly 1 year and owner are both very very rude and sarcastic, chef/manager was very rude when I asked for a refund for my cold and incorrect food (even though I told them exactly what I wanted/liked) they didnt listen, they said I was bull***ting about my food being cold and incorrect. I called and order food for delivery which I paid over £30 for. My order was then wrong. (When I ordered it charlie receptionist had to repeat my order to me 3 times back to me as she kept putting it down wrong...I had to keep explaining what I wanted as she didnt listen.) I ordered a special curry and instead of rice to have some plain noodles with bean sprout, (they never said noodles or rice didnt come with this..instead just said that fine) .This is what she kept repeating back to me for getting it wrong...I also order other things. When I got my order I was missing the noodles with bean sprouts, the receptionist and chef said they could cook them and deliver them to me, when I asked how long this would be, they said the driver isnt back yet...i then said to save my food getting cold can I come and collect the noodles and have a refund for deliver...the manager said yes. When I arrived at the shop to collect, the receptionist didnt order my noodles with the chef then I had to wait for them, leaving my food at home to get cold (and I didnt even get an apology for this)....they tried getting me to pay for them even though I already ordered them and paid for them. (But they got it wrong)..which they then said I couldn't have a refund on delivery but they would give me the noodles ....I already paid for for free :/...Once I got home after they took a long time to sort this out... my food was stone cold!! I then called again and explained my food was cold and asked for a refund from there mistakes and which then the receptionist and chef/manager was very rude and shouting down the phone your not having a refund!... (I'm 18 weeks pregnant aswell) they wasnt listening, being rude, and every suggestion I had they was saying no to eg a refund on my food..then I asked if they could give me a refund on the delivery then as I had to drive to them for them to sort out my problem..they said no sill..The receptionist was being very rude so I asked to talk to the manager, which the manager also was very rude and ignored me while on the phone..then tried to say he didnt understand me. So there was big communication barriers, the receptionist kept hanging up of me for no reason when I asked for a refund. Then when I called again to try and ask for my refund and explain why I wanted one as the manager wasnt understanding me they threatened me by saying they would call the police, when I haven't done anything wrong.....the worse part is even after all of that I tried eating it anyway as I paid over £30 for it, and as I was dishing it up the food was cold anyway but when my partner took a bite into the chicken balls we ordered they was white on the outside but the inside was raw from them cooking it to quickly....raw!! Luckily I didnt eat them being pregnant...my partner luckily wasnt sick from this (but tbf he spat it out straight away and the £30 of food was binned anyway).!!!!! I dont normally post reviews but this was so terrible, I was so unhappy. DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Royal China is better, if you want Chinese..I've had no issues with them so far.

This is the best Chinese Takeaway I've ever had.

I can safely say this is the best Chinese I've had in a long time! As a veggie it's nice to have Tofu options and the salt and chilli Tofu is the bomb, even if you aren't veggie I'd recommend it. Sweet and sour sauce with The egg fried rice, which has good amount of egg and the vegetables chow Mein is so yummy. I've had cravings for this since ❤️

China Garden has always been a favourite of my partner and I. When I moved to the area she recommended me here as I love Asian cuisine. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming and bubbly. Always order a Beef Chow Mein from them as it is one of the best I have ever had! The beef is lovely, the noodles are cooked perfectly, all the ingredients compliment each other! So good! My partner loves their Special Chow Mein, always gets that when we go to China Garden. The premises has been undergoing some maintenance, but they still have a good waiting area. Their prawn toast, is also something I highly recommend! If my partner and I want a treat, we always love popping in, plus when she isn't feeling the best, a little under the weather she loves the sweetcorn soup, always makes her feel a little bit better. Really friendly staff, incredible food, massive menu! What more can you ask for! I highly recommend.

My nan invited us over for a chinese as a nice gesture. It arrived and all was good until i was sat in my nans living room and all of a sudden heard my mum scream 'ouch' at the top of her lungs (thought my nan had given her an uppercut or summin) anyway, turns out it was not my nan giving my mum an uppercut and in fact was a piece of metal that was found in a chip which my mum had bitten down on and broke her tooth. on a positive note my sweet and sour chicken balls were very good. my mums chips on the other hand, not so good. and to top things off my dad was not very happy about it and forgot his key so we were sat outside the house for half an hour awaiting the arrival of my mum who stayed behind to take my nan to lidl. apart from that 10/10.

Called 530 be told 1 hour to 1 hour 30 wait I called after 1 hour 45 been told driver on way we live 10 minutes away we was getting ready to go out to go get food as was over 2 hours 10 minutes i Tried calling 3 times no re ply.. food cold had to mircowave all of it.. Not happy was great last time.. Never Again

Food is variable. Satay sauce: very watered down Battered king prawn balls: very small Salt and chilli pepper squid: seriously yummy and amazing! Ordered online via just eat, estimated delivery 45 mins-1 hour. After an hour and a half I call.to enquire, they inform me there has been an "error in the kitchen" but didn't bother to call to let me know. Another hour later (2.5 hours after ordering) the food turns up. I definitely won't be using them again!!

Ordered our food at 6.55, got told it will arrive at 8 but it arrived at 8.40 with no apology , it was burnt yet cold. The chicken balls were burnt and dry and the crispy beef tasted of vinegar. The chow mein was watery and had a strange taste. I really don't complain usually but i woukd not recommend this place.

Ordered food through Just Eat. Waited until 20m after the expwexpe delivery time then called them and they said it had left the restaurant 15m ago. Food never arrived...

Two takeaways. 1st over 1 hour late, but a Friday, so benefit of the doubt. 2nd a Monday night... Same result. Over an hour late. Food okay once reheated. But not the point. Don't bother is my advice. Ohhhh. PS. They fob you off when you complain. Seriously learn from our mistakes.

Absolutely disgusted with the food and service. DO NOT ORDER !! We ordered crispy aromatic duck pancakes which whilst eating the dry duck I found a large bone and then shards of bone all through the meat and it came with no plum sauce. The crisp chilli chicken had no crisp at all and tasted more like eating phlegm. The Singapore chow mien had congealed flavouring powder through the noodles making it inedible. Egg fried rice... no evidence of egg. The only edible thing was the free prawn crackers! When I rang up to complain and ask for my money back for the inedible food I was told that wasn’t possible and the best they could do was 30% off my next order. I would recommend never to order from China Garden absolutely digusted.

Cold, stodgy, late all day loo next day

Food went in the bin after a few mouthfuls. No flavour and a horrible texture. Ordered prawn toast as well and those were just as flavourless. Absolute waste of money and wouldn't recommend!

Delivery was a lot quicker than expected, however the food wasn't as nice as I was hoping (compared to others in the area) Special fried rice was disappointing (I guess all chineses have their own versions) Prawn crackers tasted very prawny and tangy! Curry sauce tasted very flourey Sorry for the negativity..

The waitress was inexperienced but was very lovely & provided good service. Food was excellent and would recommend it to anyone who wants some no frills dining.
