The food was great and the delivery time was well before estimated, just a down fall with the price of delivery when you order a small amount of food.

the food tasted horrible. 28pounds for a curry, shredded beef and a portion of rice. the chicken was slimey, the beef was dry and essentially powder. i would like our money back.

I’ve never seen carrots and broccoli in any Asian dish. My chicken satay was in a stew not on a stick. Unusual. Chicken cashew was also in a stew.

Piping hot food delivered by a really nice driver. Although pricey, we both agreed that this was by far the best Chinese we have had in many years. Excellent and will be using again.

Ordered a meal that included chicken and it was undercooked, like mushy, contained like fat/jelly. Ordered the same meal some months ago and it was the same. I ordered another chicken meal last year and it was the same type of chicken. The chips they use are frozen, but they always come overcooked, I think they're frozen chips that are fried in oil. The whole meal was a bit bland. Have lived in Hebburn for around 4 years and it's the worse place I've lived in for poor quality takeaways. And the prawn crackers are always soft for some unknown reason. I won't be ordering from them again.

Food ok. Very poor time keeping and very difficult to contact the restaurant to find out what was the hold up. It’s the Last time I will use this supplier

Took 2 hours for food to arrive after ordering. Phoned 1.5 hours after ordering and was told it was on the way...finally arrived 30 minutes after that. If it was easier to cancel we would have cancelled and ordered elsewhere

Driver got out the car was sick on the pavement and then tried to hand us our food and argued when we said we did not want the food. They then said they would not give us a refund.

I always review China Garden positively and again, the food and service was brilliant. I'm only noting that it was 10 mins late for their feedback, as 10 mins is not exactly the end of the world! I don;t know how they keep the food so hot on its way to you btw....we don't live that close to Newton.

Didnt any flavour and the Thai green curry was like snot- disappointed

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had . Not one to complain but really had to with this . The sauce the beef came in was basically chicken gravy . Tasted of a Sunday dinner . Only got 6 dumplings too . Never again

The progress system didn’t reflect the order status even to send a notification that it had been delivered. It hadn’t!!!

I’ve put the low score as I have concerns regarding this companies GDPR practices. Last time I called they put the phone on the counter rather than hold. A Just Eat customer rang and I heard all their personal details - as they take card payments it was concerning.

Food that was delivered was pretty average but they missed the rice off the delivery. Called them to ask about it and they said they would give us double next time. Why would anybody want double? Poor service. Won’t order again from here.

Absolute joke. Ordered food and payed online including the £5 delivery charge. The restaurant then phoned me to ask for another £5 (due to location) which I was happy to pay. When the delivery driver showed up she asked me for yet another £5 otherwise she wouldn't give me the food. She said that her boss would sack her if I didn't pay and gave me a full on guilt trip. I explained to her that I had already payed online and over the phone for the extra delivery charge (I even showed her the receipt) and refused to pay anymore money. So she took the food and went. I then phoned the restaurant. Kevin (who I presume is the owner) was extremely rude and refused to give me a refund. 10 minutes later the delivery driver turns up again demanding I pay the £5 delivery fee which I still refused as I had already payed! Ridiculous.

Absolutely disgusting had crispy won ton as a starter and it had mould inside phoned and got threatened and abused down phone by the owner. Never would I recommend this place I'm Currently going throw trading standards.

Food arrived 2.5hrs after ordered!! Then it was cold when delivered!

I didn't think there were any good Chinese takeaways in newton abbot. But I was pleasantly surprised. The fried rice I had was well seasoned and had a good level of spice to it, also it was very hot when it arrived. Chicken curry was good, plenty of meat in it. Would definitely recommend. They have definitely improved their quality for sure.

Spring rolls missing from order, With delivery and missing item an expensive small meal..... Food that arrived was tasty tbf.

Mostly great, we have ordered a few times from here. Tonight though, they sent chicken balls instead of pork balls and the mustard sauce for the duck was incredibly runny. We did get free prawn crackers. The veg curry was lovely.

I dont tend to leave a review unless rating is far from what I experience for this takeaway mixed sweet sour balls onlion rings and beef and mushroom with boiled rice all was 4 stars and above other then beef and mushroom the sauce is far to over whelming but still nice

Food wasn’t quite how we would have it the chicken curry was particularly not to our taste. Possibly just different Chinese’s have different styles.

Arrived 45min min later that the latest estimated time, sauces had clearly been watered down and missing an item which we didn’t realise until after driver had left as such a quick handover. Really disappointed.

Ordered chow mein, curry and a chilli chicken main dish. Out of the three main dishes, only one was truly edible with any level of flavour (the curry). Really disappointed after waiting an extra 20 minutes for it to be cooked than the stated time

Had a cracking chinese from here yesterday, had 6 different dishes, all were excellent. Inside its untidy because they are not using the seating area anymore, but as a takeaway it's fantastic

Food itself was very good although the order was missing 2 portions of rice. The service from the restaurant was very good once the delivery error was highlighted to them, the issue was the system between Just Eat and the restaurant. In future we will order directly from the restaurant.

I ordered my food and I waited for 1 hr and 30 mins so I called them to see where my food was… the guy on the phone told me that my food had been given to number 21 instead of number 2 and laughed about it… I still haven’t had my food it’s not nearly 2hrs I have had to call them they wouldn’t of contacted me. Poor poor service.

First time doing this food was hot and tasty. Also early which helped after a busy day at the hospital.

Delivery time was changed. Food arrived with the wrong main, the curry sauce was jelly and the wontons were soggy and greasy. Won’t be using again.

Always had pretty good food from here, however the last 2 times has been rank. No flavour, horrid runny sauce and just looks nasty. Won't use again.

I collected instead of having a delivery and I need to get the delivery charge refunded

Got a mixed chow main, all noodles on the bottom and everything else on the top, not even in the same sause. Also forgot some thing from my order so had to go in away, and the place looks like a dump

Got food items missing rang them and all then wanted to do was credit the account for next time instead of delivering our missing items. Then only thing decent was the delivery driver nice chap. In the end I had to go down to the restaurant to get my missing items. This is the 2nd time and the last. Stay well clear

So disappointed Overloaded with bamboo Dry even the black bean sauce dish was dry! Egg egg fried rice WASN'T fried!!!! Could have Made better myself for quarter the price wont use again. Wish I could upload pictures

Egg fried rice was just boiled rice with fried egg, the chow mein was tasteless, salt and pepper chicken was chewy. Took over an hour to receive and was only just warm. I wouldn't use them again

It turned up late. It was missing bbq sauce.
