Bread was cold and hard, totally inedible which was very disappointing. Rest of the food was average.

Ordered the usual this time - veg pakoras, shahi baingan and lamb biryani and they did not disappoint.

Should’ve know better than to…trust that chicken biryani from Bombay Bicycle would be better the second time. The chicken was hard and bone dry…again! And as if to prove my point that they don’t know how to cook tender and juicy chicken, the chicken lollipops were also dry and quite tasteless. Guess I’m going to stick to the lamb and veggie (shahi baingan and veg pakoras) dishes from now on.

Great food and even better customer service

We ordered veg pakoras, shahi baingan and butter chicken. All went down a treat (BC was a bit sweet for me). BBC were very accommodating in delivering the food early. Remains my go to place for a curry takeaway.

They don’t seem to know the difference between mango and plain lassi, or apparently, chicken and lamb. I will never use again, the only recommendation I can make is to stay away. AND I can normally find some redeeming factor, not here. AVOID.

Hit or miss from BBC! If the lamb biryani (pulao really) is my go to takeaway from BBC then the chicken biryani will be one to avoid. The rice is great, better than the one in the lamb biryani but the chicken is dry and wooden, and that just ruins it. Also the Rajma is a bit stodgy and very spicy - not creamy and warming as it should be. Will not repeat these dishes.

Excellent food. Delivery time was a bit slow.

I’ve ordered from here a couple of times and I love it! My friends came round to my house specifically to order curries from here (I’m the only one in the area where they deliver to). Lots of sauce which is a big plus. Only downside is that the food doesn’t come in resealable containers so there’s lots of plastic to throw away. 10/10 would recommend though.

Needless to say the lamb biryani (really a pulao) is my fave and it didn’t disappoint but decided to adda few extras: veg pakoras and shahi baingan (aubergine). Simply put - why hadn’t I ordered these before and why was I missing oit?

I was supposed to get a discount of £21.86 on my order through the stamps and didn’t get it can you please tell me why

I note the negative reviews tend to be people who eat nothing more adventurous than a korma, so I advise anyone who likes their Indian food to actually have a bit of spice to ignore them. Bombay Bicycle Chef is a local gem. Their chilli paneer is amazing and I've ordered it almost weekly over the 15 years I've lived up here.

the curry was spot on but i did not receive the free item of Gulab Jamun 2pcs & the poppadoms were stour & soft ? but this is the first time i have ever had a problem with them.

chicken tikka massala just tasted like tomato soup with cubes of chicken breast in onion burgers have no flavour eithet

Ordered at 6pm. Arrived at 7.40. Said it would arrive between 7 and 7.20. Food was Luke warm. Not impressed!

CALLED SO MANY TIMES - finally got delivered one item with so many missing items. Every time i called they kept saying, will be there in 5 minutes..& it never was 5 minutes. Worst food & delivery time.

You can never go wrong with lamb biryani from Bombay Bicycle. Added onion bhajis to my order…just because! They were almost like tempura fried onion fritters which I know is very appealing to many and these were very nice (batter a bit under-seasoned ). Would recommend and you know I will repeat!

Not the flavour of a pasanda I’m used to! Also I ordered for a certain time and it was late.

There were no onion bhajis in the order but we paid for them - disappointed.

Great food and delivery. Will be ordering again and really appreciated the free poppadoms and mango chutney!

Amazing food quality and great packaging

Unfortunate experience for my first takeaway in the area. The butter chicken had flavourless slices of chicken (they were rubbery and horrible, rather than marinated) although the sauce was nice. The delivery was 10 mins after the suggested slot. I don’t mind late delivery as much as horrible chicken, except had I known, I’d have walked the 10 mins to the takeaway!!

All good was hot and tasty. Would recommend definitely.

Driver was rude. Food not hot and wasn’t great quality. Used to be good but seems to have dropped off.

As always superb food and use of good quality meat. Makes a difference to the other Indian places. The only issue is that usually the delivery Time window which is at the start when you placed an order is usually different to place your order and sometimes varies quite a bit which can make it difficult in planning. Other than that Superb !

Restaurant is less than 15 mins away but took over an hour before delivery. Food was warm but edible. Overall frustrating

Rice was almost cold and the chicken container plastic cover was slightly open, so some of the gravy had leaked out. Not good !

Always great portions and flavours, needed a proper meal and theirs last me at least 2 servings, everything was well packaged and arrived hot.

We order from here very frequently and are avid fans, however we were a bit disappointed tonight. We tried the king prawn masala which came with a total of 4 prawns - considering that this curry costs £14, this is a bit unacceptable. For future I would recommend being less stingy with the protein in the curries, as it has made us consider finding a new curry house.

Really nice food, not oily like a lot of Indian places! Paneer masala was amazing. Chicken was a little overcooked but still really enjoyed the whole meal. Would 100% order from here again!

Amazing lamb byriani, I was expecting the rice to be moist and it was, not dry at all. The tarka daal was filled to the brim which I was very pleased about. Will definitely order from here again I hope they keep this up

Had great expectations after reading the details and reviews but were badly let down by the most unauthentic taste 🥲All the dishes, even raita , with the exception of biryani( this was more like spicy pulao , chicken in generous quantity but very dry rather than tender and juicy ) were saturated with sugar almost like desserts- this was masked by adding a lot of chilli powder and lemon , tamarind etc to the Bombay lamb, chickpeas and lamb saag respectively. Despite this they were appallingly sweet. I hope the chef can seriously consider this from health perspective- diabetes is on the increase and NHS is already not coping with the problem. The plain naans , parathas were ok and the pappads ( complimentary 🙏 ) were excellent.

You know how they say too much of a good thing can be bad? Well I think that's what has happened with me and BBC's lamb biryani. I still think it is great value for money, and the taste is pretty good, but there's far too much (black?) pepper in it, and not enough of whatever spices the lamb should be cooked in (separately, and then combined in layers with the rice). Still, I may forget this in time and go back for more. For now though, I think I'm going to continue to search for the perfect takeaway biryani.

Nice food. I bit into something very hard though, discovered it was a fruit stone, perhaps a plum. Was as though someone had eaten the plum and the stone ended up in my food. A bit off putting. Otherwise very fresh food. Love the chilli Nan

One hour and a half from ordering and our food has arrived stone cold!!! We have ordered from you hundreds of times and love your food but this is unacceptable. I called the restaurant and was fobbed off maybe you should be nicer to your loyal clients in future

A wonderful restaurant with delicious and fresh food. A vegetarian's dream as the dishes are hearty and taste homemade. Great customer service as well.

Food wasn’t what is usually is. Butter chicken was extremely oily with a film of oil on it. The lamb was chewy/over cooked and beyond spicy hot. With the price having gone up again I’d expect more from my fave Indian spot

wauuu u u u First time order here and I will came again !!! Food on time and full worm, naan and poppadoms fresh jut made now, tandoori mix are real grill, sauces great and tasty, chicken in sauces soft and fresh, chilli chicken chicken sauce really HOT, nicely package. If you expecting sauces are not xxl and pickle/mango are little. In total perfect 10/10 stars. I check many indian food in area and this is what I want! Came again! +++++

Food was nice and had good flavour but unfortunately was cold

I order direct from the restaurant online - easy and cheaper than the delivery apps. Always arrvies piping hot with free popadoms and chutney. Bomaby Chicken and King Prawn masala are very high quality - you can taste and see fresh ingrediants and herbs. I would summarise as a regular high street Indian take away in style but of very good quality.

Out of town traveler’s, currys and pakora were lovely curry’s were hotter than our local but there is yogurt as a side so you can add a little and make to taste 👍 but food quality v good 👍

Good biryani and good value - what more could you ask for?!

Everything was fab. The only thing I would like to mention is for saag paneer it was some spinach leaves in the normal paneer curry. Which taste good but not the authentic preparation.

Food was hot, really nice, apart from the onion bajee, dry and hard, the onions are supposed to be soft, these where shrivelled and crunchy, didn't taste like it was just cooked and fresh. 3 in a pack, 2 were half eaten and the other was thrown. Waste of over £5.
