Low quality food and drink. Had a turkey baguette, it was a sliced baguette with some turkey slices hanging out, a coffee cake which had a fudge like consistency and was unpleasantly sweet, like cheap sugar tasting. Dreadful coffee served in a glass. Will never go back. Would not recommend.

Went there on a bike ride and have heard about this cafe. It’s in a great location and gets lots of trade from cyclists and dog walkers. This is probably why they charge to much for really poor quality. Nasty cheap sausage and rubbish coffee in a class mug. All in all not great.

This cafe is just great. It has plenty of room and loads of benches and tables outside too. The cakes are phenomenal and locally made. We went just for a cup of tea and piece of cake during a walk. You get either a good big mug of tea or a pot, whichever you prefer. They also do lunches which are very popular with the many cyclists that pass by, it is a popular meeting place for them, but we have always found a seat even when it's busy.

Not impressed at all, frog marched out as I had a dog, told to go in the SHED which was damp dirty 2 tables and a bench, dark straw all over the floor and a tractor in it. It was raining so didn't want to get wet in there. Come on, this day and age, much more classy cafes very dog friendly suggest you try one before going there. Flissys in Thurstaston 5* well worth a visit.

Cycled here from Mold area. Sited just off cycle path from Deeside onto the Wirral. I’d heard of this from a pal, who’d recommended it as great cycle cafe. Yes even on an overcast / drizzly Friday morning/ lunchtime it definitely not quiet, at least 12++ cycles outside, half dozen folks sat outside, many more inside, but still lots of space inside and out. Menu looked ok as a cycle/ walking cafe - and a few car folks. I intended asking for bacon Butty and coffee, but as I got to the counter , there staring at me was a slab like portion of chocolate brownie for £2.50 very well worth it , tasty rich but not too rich. Bacon bap , white bap, enough bacon, and tasty with just the right amount of brown sauce added - and brought outside to me. Coffee cappuccino was ok , not the best not the worst - served it’s purpose, a caffeine lift to power me through Deeside then back up the hill. In summary would I recommend and visit again, YES x 2 definitely.

Situated on the popular Burton Marsh footpath not far from a small car pull in, the location is ideal for cyclists and walkers alike. The menu includes sandwiches, cakes and some meals in a relaxing outdoor environment with a small indoor barn if the weather is not good. The food is nice, just the ticket if you are travelling by. When we are walking by, this little cafe always tempts us in for a break.

No indoor seating at the moment but plenty of tables outside. Great if It is sunny and a barn to sit inside if raining. Wooden tables do not have to be sprayed with disinfectant after use. There is not a full menu to choose from and you give your orders at the door outside. On our visits the staff have been welcoming and genuinely are happy to be open again. Food is good. The interior furniture and shape of the cafe apparently make it difficult to social distance inside. So I agree not all want to sit outside but at least you are safe. This is very busy at the moment and you could find yourself queuing but it is a lovely place to sit and relax or people watch. The toilets are in a separate building. Hopefully at some point when winter comes we will be able to sit once again inside.

Have came here regularly since the Net 1st opened. It has gained a lot more business cyclists, walkers or family’s enjoying fresh air. The food has always been good and fresh. Recently they do not seem to be as good as when they first opened. My concern would be that the portions have gotten a lot smaller. A extremely small jacket potato served with bits of lettuce including two pieces of tomato, cucumber, with one strip of red pepper and a spoon of coleslaw cost £4-95. Hopefully this is a over-site and a one off. It does seem more expensive than other cafe’s.

...then there is way off the beaten track...This place could be the latter, it isn't exactly on a busy route. It is, however on a popular cycle route along the marsh side, between Neston and Chester.Finding it requires a little bit of local knowledge, or a sat nav, but don't let this discourage you, its well worth the journey. The food is excellent, good value for money and there is a wide selection. There is always people there when we visited, with the added bonus of seats outside to soak up the English ( or Welsh, as you are right on the border) sun. It's clean, the staff are inviting, there isn't anything not to like about this place. A recent addition of new toilet facilities add to the appeal. It is a good place to stop on a two wheeled exploration, or if you are the four wheeled explorer then there is opportunity to park the car.It is also round the corner, sort of, to Ness Gardens so there is more to explore once ou have over indulged...Definitely one to visit.

Very friendly, helpful staff. If you're really only passing through the cold drinks are all in a dedicated cabinet inside to choose from and there's an ice cream/ lolly ice freezer too. Looks as though a brand new loo block ,with disabled access, is almost ready , though the ones in the barn are spotless and fully functional except for disabled access. I looked it up onGoogle to check for closing days, cafes on Wirral are often closed on a Monday, and the only info I could find was via a Facebook page which stated that it was open from 9 am until 9 pm every day ! I queried this when I was there and they knew nothing about a FB entry but they deinitely close at 5 pm in summer and 4pm in winter,

After walking from Parkgate we were ready for a good cup of tea and a piece of cake. The café was spotless and served a lovely pot of tea. My friend and I had a fruit scone each. I was a bit disconcerted that all the scones had sugar on the top, something I have not come across before. I asked if they had any scones without the sugar on but they said no. I chose one with as little sugar on as possible as I just find it too sweet. The scones were full of dried fruit and cherries, again, a little too sweet for me. I would agree about the toilets, only one toilet for ladies which if the café is busy would not be sufficient, also it is outside in a portakabin. I presume it is a temporary measure and they will eventually build new ones. The location is the selling point for this café a stones throw from the marshes and new cycle way.

Net's coffee shop is a hidden gem amongst Burton front/mere. I've been coming here for some time now and watched it flourish. Seating is mainly outside but lots inside too. You are surrounded by beautiful views of Wales and sounds of the countryside. To get to Net's cafe you go down lots of little country lanes, where you find Burton front, one end has the boardwalk across to Queensferry and the other end you will see a sign for the cafe. The food is delicious and wholesome. Plenty of it and very reasonably priced. My favourite is bacon, brie and mushroom pinatti which comes with a side salad. You can choose from a wide variety of cakes too. Good selection of teas and coffee, my only gripe here is I'd prefer the coffee a little stronger. Staff are really lovely, go out their way for you to make sure you have a pleasurable experience. Don't let this place pass you by if your visiting our little Wirral.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
