Nesta Cafe in Redditch

I eat here regularly. It is good value for money, decent size portions and a good coffee. Best place to eat in Redditch if you want something more substantial than a sandwich. Staff are always polite and friendly.

Visited with my wife for the first time recently. Both had the mega breakfast £7.50 which you are allowed one item swap. Best fry up breakfasts we have both had in a very long time.

I was sat with my young family enjoying a meal to alleviate the kids boredom from shopping, when one of older members of staff (Roxy I think) shouted at a young member of staff in front of customers. This was humiliating for the young girl and a clear case of bullying in the workplace! I am so disappointed my children had to witness this behaviour and I strongly recommend staff training to incorporate bullying and discrimination. I also would like to say well done to Holly for not walking out. In a customer orientated environment, people skills are key, not only with customer but staff. I hope this matter will get investigated and the appropriate actions taken 😡

Came here with my family and my nephew enjoyed his chicken curry. My sister enjoyed her breakfast. My mom enjoyed her breakfast. However I was disappointed in my meal, I had a chicken and cheese omelette which was absolutely horrible sadly. The chef tried to hide the burnt parts with the cheese, it takes burnt and smelt burnt. Really disappointing but next time I’ll give something else a try.

Had a terrible experience at this cafe. I was drinking the last of my black coffee, and i felt something go into my mouth. I spat it back into the cup & it was a huge Blue bottle fly. I took it to the counter & all they said it was a coffee bean. I got them to tip it onto a tissue and they could see it was a fly!. All they said was sorry & threw it away. I asked to speak to the manager. They said he was busy. I asked them to go and tell him what had happened. They waved me over to the kitchen. He rudely said "what do you want" I explained about the fly and all he said was "sorry, we can give you another coffe", dismmissed me and carried on cooking. I felt so ill, knowing I dad had a dirty fly in my mouth. It must have been in the cup before the coffee was poured into it, I couldn't see it until the last drop of my coffee because I drink black coffee. Before this incident happened,my friend had just commented, that the cafe wasn't very clean, and the waitresses were all grouped around the counter messing with their hair and giving each other neck massages. I certainly will not be returning

I had cheese on toast had veggie breakfast as burgers instead of sausage or bacon . The cheese on toast was done in microwave so disappointing made toast seem stale. Coffee is excellent. More staff than customers. Not seen a staff member sanitize yet after customer leaves.

After being regular customers here it saddens me the terrible service received today. First of all the young lady at the till.. lovely, polite and apologetic. The man in the kitchen however, rude, unhelpful and didn’t even have the courage to look in my direction. My 2 year old has several severe allergies and could only eat one thing on the menu, egg and chips which is fine. However as parents know toddlers can be fussy creatures and won’t eat the white part.. all I asked was you to whip the egg in the pan instead of fry it.. I didn’t ask for extra egg or milk (as he can’t eat it) to be used, literally stir it around abit. I’m not sure if your culinary skills aren’t up to this maybe but I’m guessing you just don’t care as you just shrugged when asked if you’d do it by the waitress. Four times we asked and you couldn’t make the effort for a little one to get lunch. Luckily for us we walked around to muffin break who made him something from scratch and couldn’t of been more helpful. You’ve lost a family of 6 regular customers because of your terrible attitude.

Great place to eat nice size portions and not expensive staff are really friendly will come back again

First time in here ordered pie and chips and plaice and chips fast service food was a bit dry but overall edible would like to try other meals in the future.

I regularly have the late Mini Breakfast and a black coffee, perfect! Good honest Cafe food and great value. Plenty of seating, always good helpful service for me. Thank you! 😁👍

Pie and chips rubbish the pie was well the pastry of the pie was hard uneatable not much filling. Everybody cancook a goodchip not at nestas under cooked . Ill never eat thier again when i complained nobody cared so this is my review and i dont care either

My wife and I had lunch here on Sat 4/2/2018 - very good selection of hot and cold food - plenty of staff to bring food to your table - we just had a sandwich each it came with either salad or chips included - we like a week black tea - so instead of serving from the tea-pot - we were brought a mug of hot water and a tea bag - how thoughtful was that - we were able to make our tea as we liked it - very impressed.

Save your money and go elsewhere if i was you! Soon as you walk in no greeting at all staff on till has no manners she stands there with no please or thankyou! Spent £6.80 on warm milkshake dry sponge and a cappuccino really wish i spent my money down at Costa! They require at £5 minimum spend to use a card yet there is NO signage saying this! I asked to order cheese on toast after i spent £6.80 and was told sorry we get charged if its below £5!! This is second BAD experience here safe to say I WILL NEVER RETURN! DISGUSTING ATTITUDES

Nipped in here for a quick lunch and a coffee. The tuna salad was nice and fresh and the coffee was the best coffee I have had in ages. The service was excellent. Friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Will definitely drop in again.

"Dart" in here for a nice cheap meal with pleasant staff and quick service. Spotlessly clean, but the dearest Tea bags We have encountered. £3.60p seems rather excessive for two cups of tea.. We have had a catering business and know that purchasing top name catering tea bags in bulk, works out at less than 1p each. Disappointed that we didn't get a decent pot for two instead of individual cups. Otherwise five stars.

I had a panini which came with chips for £4.25 which was fine. But I thought £ 1.80 p for a cup tea too expensive. How much trouble is it to put a tea bag in a pot. The staff were ok and the service quick but as there weren't many people in there not surprising.

Popped into Nesta for lunch. Located upstairs in the shopping centre next to tk maxx and sports direct. Staff were really and gave got baby facilities in the restaurant. Fantastic food and very good prices

called in for a quick sandwich, been before and have always found it good value, quick and friendly service well worth a visit I don't think you will be disappointed

Hemos visitado muchas veces para el desayuno o el almuerzo, el personal es muy amable, el menú es fácil de entender y se le hacen los swaps/alternativas para una comida que comprensiblemente está a veces en un cargo extra. Nunca hemos luchado por una trona o tenían comida inaceptable. En general barato y alegre ☺ ️ puedo recomendar los batidos y batidos.

Fantastic value for a cup of coffee and panini. Food was quick to arrive at the table and everything was very tasty. Service was good and we will be returning in the near future. Not a rip off like all the big chain coffee shops.

This is not the prettiest of cafes but the food is good. You get what you pay for. A decent breakfast!

This is not the most attractive of cafes but it is functional. The food we ordered was cooked well and the omelet and chips were good.

For a number of years we have visited Nesta's either for an early cup of tea and a tea cake or for one of their lunches. The food is always excellent and piping hot. Today, however, they excelled themselves in customer service. We had arrived as usual around 8.35am and stopped on the way in to chat to some other regulars. It only took a few minutes but by the time we had reached our table our two cups of tea were brought to us, shortly followed by our two toasted tea cakes. What a true example of real customer service and we felt really valued as customers. Thanks to all at Nesta's.

Went in as needed somewhere to breastfeed my 2week old baby. We were welcomed to a clean cafe and placed our drinks order quickly. Didn't order any food but what was served around us looked fresh and appetising.

A great place to go with a wheelchair. The food is not outstanding but it is good and there is a reasonable choice. Breakfasts are very good value and all the food is freshly cooked.Very popular with families.

We meet up at Nesta once a week for a drink and the service is always very friendly and my latte always just the job! My friend always has an ordinary coffee and he says he always goes to Nesta at other times too as the service is always very good and the prices compare favourably with other nearby Coffee shops.

Okay prices, average food but good locale in the Kingfisher Mall. The bacon is sliced slabs with a good smoked flavor, the beans have a good sauce and though the eggs only come poached, they're cooked. The sausage is mushy with no taste and they charge an extra 30 pence for even one jam. Okay place for teacakes and tea.

went for dinner today had a lovey Fish and Chips, my other have had a jacket spud, as last time we visited it was great, the service was so quick, with a smile, this place deserves to do well.

Went after 1 in the afternoon the menus outside offer great value,but in small print there all before 11 am so we was ripped off 9 quid for a breakfast and coffee I've come here from London was expecting it to be cheaper very disappointed

We called in at Nestas for a bite to eat on Saturday. I was looking for a snack so I ordered the cod / chips at £4.45. Cod,chips, salad, peas.I could not finish it, it beat me, but boy did I enjoy it.My other half had the biggest jacket potato I,ve ever seen,she did finish it !! If you what value for money, quick service with a smile then you know where to go

Good english food - breakfast is good value and my kids enjoyed the pancakes. Clean and quick service.

I took my daughters for lunch and asked to pay part cash and the rest of card, so I done that but since me asking that I was spoke about pointed to and was treated rudely in front of my daughters will not be going there again!!

I recently visited Nesta on the 6th April (but to be fair I'm a regular for the below reasons)....Every time I go into NESTA I always get an (hello) from one or more of the staff, the atmosphere is always cheerful from staff to customers. The staff are very polite and very helpful. The food is a fair price and whatever I order from salad to burgers etc is always received in a decent time from ordering and tastes brilliant. (Try the Americano coffee...just WOW).I find that whenever it's busy that I don't have to talk loud to my friends when eating with then as their does seen to be a respect by all customers to talk at a reasonable volume which is nice.I highly recommend NESTA to my friends and colleagues and whomever is reading this review. Trust me it don't get better than this.Access to NESTA can be via the stairs or an elevator for those who need it. Please try NESTA.

I visited this Cafe with my husband on the 22nd November 2013. We have been here several times and previously we have been happy with the food and service. The cafe can be very busy around lunchtime but there are plenty of tables both inside and outside the cafe on the balcony area. The cafe has a toilet but you need to ask staff for the key. There is a a lift up to the cafe if you prefer not to take the stairs. During our my most recent visit I ordered a baked potatoe with tuna. My husband had to wait for a long time as there was a queue. Upon being served my husband was told they had no baked potatoes left so I had to settle for a tuna sandwich, which was annoying. For a cafe to run out of baked potatoes at 1pm is not very good. My husband had a beef burger which looked nothing like the picture. The burger was very dry and had no onions on it or tomatoes. My husband was very disappointed with this. However for me, things got worse.After a short time I noticed one of the waitressess collecting a baked potatoe with cheese and giving it to another customer. I was shocked at this as we had been told the cafe had run out. My husband asked the waitress what was going on and the waitress asked the cook. The cook said he had just cooked the baked potatoe himself especially for the customer!!!! I was very annoyed that this customer had been treated much better than I had been and felt very let down. I asked why the cook had not done the same for me and received no reply. It is totally unacceptable to treat customers differently in this way, especially when we have using this cafe for some time. It is a shame this happened as other than this occassion, we had been happy. If we had received an apology we would be happy to return, but we did not, and we paid the bill in full. On principle, we will not be using this cafe again. A real pity.
