Nergiz in Norwich

Very poor service. Order came half. Called them and they said they will send the rest. Called again they said they don't have time to deliver. No refund. Very rude over phone.never order online or through Uber eats with them.

This is undoubtedly one of the best shawarma I've ever had. The meat and fresh bread are both excellent. The homemade chilli sauce as well has an incredible flavour, but is pretty hot if you're not ready for it. The value for money is also outstanding for the price you pay most places these days, 2 full plates, and drinks was under £20. Restaurant looks recently refurbished inside and looks very nice. Also serves fresh Ayran which is not to everyone's taste, but worth a try.

Food is amazing, i have ate from there for couple of times, it was good, the food will take longer time, even if it’s taking time the waiter did not inform me the delay or the time which will take to prepare the food, only the disappointing for that, all the other thing is good

Very traditional place, great hospitality (offered free soup and tea whilst waiting for orders). Order took a little while as they were busy (good sign) but portion wise very satisfying for the price (especially the shawarma @ £7 for a filling meal). If being nit picky there could've been abit more meat given but again for the price it was good. Fresh salad and spicy chilli really added freshness. Would definitely go again.

If you're after a vegetarian lunch in Norwich, for £5 it's impossible to beat Nergiz' falafel wrap. Freshly-made, crunchy falafel, free sauce, authentic pita and plenty of salad. The service from the guys who work there is always friendly too, and they often give you some free soup if you're dining in. It's not a 5* dining experience but that's not what you come here for - visit for unpretentious food at its best

Love Nergiz but come on, drinks advertise as a can which is 330mp this thing is tiny, and £2.50 for these chips is criminal

Alhamdulillah, I found this place.

One of the best halal food outlets in Norwich and at very reasonable prices. Tried following dishes from their menu so far and all are quite good: chickpea soup (cooked in mutton/lamb stalk), rice with chicken shawarma, meat shawarma, lamb kuzi (very tender meat) and meat (lamb) tikka.

Nergiz, has become a weekly celebration for me and my son. Five star service five star atmosphere and five star food. And and so so affordable. The best eating out experience in town

Working away found this hidden gem. Lovely food , may just well be best sharawama mix I've eaten. Not many halal places in area but this is 10/10. Great service , very clean. Will visit again for sure. Jzk

I know its a busy place sometimes but even not being busy and after so many times of costumer service i feel that the more money i spend with them, the costumer service and overprice goes downhill🤦😫🤷‍♂️which is a shame because on usual places if a costumer spends very often good money in a shop costumer service and prices should be looked after not go worse and worse with a costumer that goes there several times a week😫🤷‍♂️food is ok but overpricing and lack of costumer service will just stop going there for good and start going other places that can look after me better🤷‍♂️😫

Popped in for a quick meal on the way to a gig. First time visitor and it won’t be the last. Welcomed with some soup followed by a really lovely Chicken Schawarma with fries, salad and a nan bread. Already pl Ning another visit for next time I get over to Norwich. Highly recommended.

Nergiz is a feast! my son tore into the lamb chops, I had the kebab, and as a party of 7 we had a broad selection of thr menu. the least of these was the chicken shawarma which came out a little more oiley than usual. I wish I'd taken some photos as I usually do but this time round the server missed one of our orders. I was also curious about the naan breads and wondered if they were made on site. in the past I felt they were, this time round I definitely thought they were shop bought. Still very nice, but not like a clay tandoor coked naan fresh from the oven! Back to the misses order (which is why they get a one star foe service) unfortunately it was a young person, who had to watch as everyone ate and he waited patiently. we told the server twice but they didn't respond and eventually we left with his order as a takeaway. So many good things about this restaurant- that adding some attention to detail about the service would push it to the next level. I'd say they could use a better way of collecting receipts and a more responsive service style. If your order isn't right- don't wait- it's not impolite to chivvy them on, and definitely go to the counter to talk to the person on the till. this normally moves things along much quicker. I still love the food here. But do be proactive with the servers- my favourite kebab shop can still improve!!!

On the way to Norwich hotel stay, we stopped by at this place. Really tasty food and plenty of choices. We loved their dishes. Staffs were very helpful to choose dishes. Took some time to get the food due to rush hours, but it was worth waiting. Seats were available and paid parking lot nearby unless you want to take a chance at roadside parking at double line road. Looking forward to visit again sometime.

You are given lentil soup when you've sat down (appetiser at no cost).Just make sure you ask what the soup is made of incase you have an allergy as the dont ask if you do.The menu is quite big.I normally have the chicken with 2 nan bread so my 8yo can eat from my plate as their portions are huge.most of their meals come with a salad too and all in all mine was £8.its freshly grilled chicken and other meats are available too plus burgers.Give it a try

We had late lunch here today with my mom and sister. The food was absolutely amazing 👏, the service was very good. Very nice staff. I'm sure we will be back here. I found my another favourite place in Norwich. Highly recommended!

Delicious that’s the only word for this food . The mix grilled platter is a must try . I got a bill of 130quid the owner was generous to take only 100 . That was a nice gesture. I will be definitely coming back again

Tasty comfort food and great service

Most of the Halal restaurants in Norwich are less than mediocre in terms of food, hospitality, atmosphere, cleanliness, etc… to be fair, only Mr Mangal would be kind of just good! This is my first (and last) visit to Nergiz… I am a smell fussy person, the entire place smells horrible, the inside needs an urgent total renovation, soup on arrival tasted very bad, lamp chops for me and kebab for my friend were both terrible, burnt not even overcooked, food smells terrible, presentation was substandard… to be fair I liked a piece of Nan only and a few French fries! I don’t know how people are rating this as 5 stars, this is a bit worrying in itself!

I had to stop eating my food to write this review as my family of 32 and myself were blown away with the food and service. The food was fresh, flavourful and filling! The lamb chops were tender, bread soft and sauces just perfect. The customer service was 10/10. We travelled from London and were used to great food, but this restaurant was fantastic. Highly recommend and we thank you all for your food and hospitality!

Our experience at nergiz was absolutely amazing and memorable. The food was amazing especially the mixed grill platter. The koftas were crispy followed by the chili sauce which was at a perfect level of spice. The staff were the main reason we found this experience memorable. They noticed that we were a group of 30 and they stayed open extra time just so we could finish. We had a birthday and they gave us baklava on the house which was delicious. The staff made the atmosphere so that we could all be in one room and dine as a family which is one privilege that not many places have.

It's hard to rate it 5 stars because I take into account the area, service, interior of the place and of course the food. So the food is good and the prices are adequate. Unfortunately the area is tragic and resembles a fallen city. The interior of the place needs renovation, not very clean. The service was fast and efficient. Unfortunately the atmosphere arouses mixed feelings so it makes you want to eat and leave quickly. This is not a place for a friends meeting, a family outing, a well-spent time enjoying food. Apart from food and price, this place doesn't offer anything else, let alone the surrounding area.

Nergiz is open now... they have renovated and serving similar menu with 1 or 2 additions. Tasty fresh food. Highly recommended.

Lovely quality food and great taste. From a typical uneducated Englishman perspective it's like five star restaurant version of the traditional takeaway kebab style I believe it's Kurdish I don't know much more than that but great place to pick up food to eat in or take away 👍 Would definitely recommend.

Tasteless and bland food, not even a hint of salt in the meat, shawarma was dry, kebabs had a strong smell and taste. There are much better kurdish places out there than this.

I ordered a number 11 (via uber eats), which is a chicken shawarma with 2 naans but I only got 1 naan. This happened multiple times even in the restaurant where they didn’t bring the second naan. I called and asked if they could deliver me the second naan but they said they didn’t have a driver available.

First time eating here and I was very pleasantly surprised! We were served a lovely complementary soup on arrival which was a nice touch. The food is amazing and incredible value for money. The felafel wrap was great and the lamb dishes were equally as good. Generous portions, lovely friendly staff, they even offered us a dessert they were all having at the break of Ramadan. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Recently went into this shop after some good talk on it, complimentary soup on arrival. However half way through my meal spotted hair in my food. Looks very busy but staff fail to wear any protective gear, no hair nets, beard nets, gloves or washing hands. As I ate half my food and the restaurant was busy I politely paid for my food and left. The food was ok but the hair really let me down and I won’t be returning. I noticed they had previously received a 1 star food hygiene rating and hence featured on the local news upon searching for this place to leave a google review, very disappointed as this could of been a much better dining experience if the staff wore protective gear. You can’t walk around with big beards not having them protected I’m afraid that’s appalling guys. Very let down! The white lady server which seems new was constantly touching her hair upon further evaluation.

Terrible foods… tasteless ..oily …didn’t even use salt in their foods…kebab and Kuzi smells terrible and stale …. Never ever order again !!! Couldn’t even leave the food box in the bin had to take it out of the house ASAP… such a shame

Takeput The salad leaked and the dispatch thought it was his fault but it wasn't. There was liquid in the salad. He felt bad and I didn't like the sogginess. The food, however was very very lovely. My first try and it was really nice and filling. I had to remove the tomatoes and green peppers though.

Just popped in as they have reopened after a complete redecorate and modernising, sat down and was given a complimentary bowl of lentil soup which was piping hot and really tasty, a nice addition. The food was incredible! I definitely over ordered as it was just me, I had the meat shawarma with fries, salad and a flat bread as well as a mixed meat shawarma wrap. The plate was loaded with meat, fries and some.super fresh salad. The wrap, which was nearly my undoing, was also crammed with meat and salad, the bread was so soft and fluffy, the wraps and flat breads are made to order, because of the open kitchen you can see the guys working, it's a real joy. Food was all hot and fresh, incredibly tasty, the chilli sauce, more of a salsa than a sauce, was really tasty and really hot, but not burning, the whole place was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was buzzing too with a real hustle of locals and friends/family of the workers making it feel really welcoming and exciting, pricing is more than reasonable too, very affordable especially given the portion sizes. Can't wait to come back

Just been to negriz and I was completely blown away by far the best Turkish food I have ever tasted, i went in and was told I couldn’t have the chicken as was dry and not enough there this is true honest chef, chef not selling food that’s done. I had a kebab wrap, lovely salad and chilli sauce was banging. Thanks all.

I have tried both meat cubes and chicken cubes. They are awful, I will never order them again. Also, Shawarma meat is not good, but the chicken is acceptable Therefore, I will give those stars just for the chicken shawarma. The workers are so dirty and use their naked hands. Some of them are smoke

This is my 5th time going here I wanted to give this place chances but it’s just horrible.. and I’ve tried most of the food on the menu.. the food is cold and little portion the food isn’t cooked properly.. usually Kurdish food is amazing other restaurants I went to .. but this restaurant is so bad please avoid going!!! Needs to be reported to food and Safety immediately.
