Nergiz, has become a weekly celebration for me and my son. Five star service five star atmosphere and five star food. And and so so affordable. The best eating out experience in town

Food is tasty, but the portion become smaler and smaler with time

The service was one of the best I have experienced, the waiter was kind and patient. The food is amazing, authentic and fresh. Great value and atmosphere aswell. One of, if not the best place to eat in Norwich.

Working away found this hidden gem. Lovely food , may just well be best sharawama mix I've eaten. Not many halal places in area but this is 10/10. Great service , very clean. Will visit again for sure. Jzk

I know its a busy place sometimes but even not being busy and after so many times of costumer service i feel that the more money i spend with them, the costumer service and overprice goes downhill🤦😫🤷‍♂️which is a shame because on usual places if a costumer spends very often good money in a shop costumer service and prices should be looked after not go worse and worse with a costumer that goes there several times a week😫🤷‍♂️food is ok but overpricing and lack of costumer service will just stop going there for good and start going other places that can look after me better🤷‍♂️😫

Decent kebab, good service, all fresh, complimentary tea.

Popped in for a quick meal on the way to a gig. First time visitor and it won’t be the last. Welcomed with some soup followed by a really lovely Chicken Schawarma with fries, salad and a nan bread. Already pl Ning another visit for next time I get over to Norwich. Highly recommended.

Nergiz is a feast! my son tore into the lamb chops, I had the kebab, and as a party of 7 we had a broad selection of thr menu. the least of these was the chicken shawarma which came out a little more oiley than usual. I wish I'd taken some photos as I usually do but this time round the server missed one of our orders. I was also curious about the naan breads and wondered if they were made on site. in the past I felt they were, this time round I definitely thought they were shop bought. Still very nice, but not like a clay tandoor coked naan fresh from the oven! Back to the misses order (which is why they get a one star foe service) unfortunately it was a young person, who had to watch as everyone ate and he waited patiently. we told the server twice but they didn't respond and eventually we left with his order as a takeaway. So many good things about this restaurant- that adding some attention to detail about the service would push it to the next level. I'd say they could use a better way of collecting receipts and a more responsive service style. If your order isn't right- don't wait- it's not impolite to chivvy them on, and definitely go to the counter to talk to the person on the till. this normally moves things along much quicker. I still love the food here. But do be proactive with the servers- my favourite kebab shop can still improve!!!

Amazing food, especially the chicken Shwarma and their homemade Soup.

Fantastic super fresh food, wonderful people and did i mention the homemade chilli. If in Norwich, stop here, incredible place where all involved deserve to prosper. Thank you.

On the way to Norwich hotel stay, we stopped by at this place. Really tasty food and plenty of choices. We loved their dishes. Staffs were very helpful to choose dishes. Took some time to get the food due to rush hours, but it was worth waiting. Seats were available and paid parking lot nearby unless you want to take a chance at roadside parking at double line road. Looking forward to visit again sometime.

You are given lentil soup when you've sat down (appetiser at no cost).Just make sure you ask what the soup is made of incase you have an allergy as the dont ask if you do.The menu is quite big.I normally have the chicken with 2 nan bread so my 8yo can eat from my plate as their portions are huge.most of their meals come with a salad too and all in all mine was £8.its freshly grilled chicken and other meats are available too plus burgers.Give it a try

We had late lunch here today with my mom and sister. The food was absolutely amazing 👏, the service was very good. Very nice staff. I'm sure we will be back here. I found my another favourite place in Norwich. Highly recommended!

Delicious that’s the only word for this food . The mix grilled platter is a must try . I got a bill of 130quid the owner was generous to take only 100 . That was a nice gesture. I will be definitely coming back again

Served a really tasty bowl of soup. The meal arrived promptly and the Turkish bread was delicious. There was a lot of food and it was very reasonably priced as well.

Tasty comfort food and great service

Most of the Halal restaurants in Norwich are less than mediocre in terms of food, hospitality, atmosphere, cleanliness, etc… to be fair, only Mr Mangal would be kind of just good! This is my first (and last) visit to Nergiz… I am a smell fussy person, the entire place smells horrible, the inside needs an urgent total renovation, soup on arrival tasted very bad, lamp chops for me and kebab for my friend were both terrible, burnt not even overcooked, food smells terrible, presentation was substandard… to be fair I liked a piece of Nan only and a few French fries! I don’t know how people are rating this as 5 stars, this is a bit worrying in itself!

I love eating there. My favourite Iraqi restaurant in Norwich. Good is so delicious. I really recommend it 👍🏻

I had to stop eating my food to write this review as my family of 32 and myself were blown away with the food and service. The food was fresh, flavourful and filling! The lamb chops were tender, bread soft and sauces just perfect. The customer service was 10/10. We travelled from London and were used to great food, but this restaurant was fantastic. Highly recommend and we thank you all for your food and hospitality!

Our experience at nergiz was absolutely amazing and memorable. The food was amazing especially the mixed grill platter. The koftas were crispy followed by the chili sauce which was at a perfect level of spice. The staff were the main reason we found this experience memorable. They noticed that we were a group of 30 and they stayed open extra time just so we could finish. We had a birthday and they gave us baklava on the house which was delicious. The staff made the atmosphere so that we could all be in one room and dine as a family which is one privilege that not many places have.

It's hard to rate it 5 stars because I take into account the area, service, interior of the place and of course the food. So the food is good and the prices are adequate. Unfortunately the area is tragic and resembles a fallen city. The interior of the place needs renovation, not very clean. The service was fast and efficient. Unfortunately the atmosphere arouses mixed feelings so it makes you want to eat and leave quickly. This is not a place for a friends meeting, a family outing, a well-spent time enjoying food. Apart from food and price, this place doesn't offer anything else, let alone the surrounding area.

Nergiz is open now... they have renovated and serving similar menu with 1 or 2 additions. Tasty fresh food. Highly recommended.

Lovely quality food and great taste. From a typical uneducated Englishman perspective it's like five star restaurant version of the traditional takeaway kebab style I believe it's Kurdish I don't know much more than that but great place to pick up food to eat in or take away 👍 Would definitely recommend.

Tasteless and bland food, not even a hint of salt in the meat, shawarma was dry, kebabs had a strong smell and taste. There are much better kurdish places out there than this.

I ordered a number 11 (via uber eats), which is a chicken shawarma with 2 naans but I only got 1 naan. This happened multiple times even in the restaurant where they didn’t bring the second naan. I called and asked if they could deliver me the second naan but they said they didn’t have a driver available.

First time eating here and I was very pleasantly surprised! We were served a lovely complementary soup on arrival which was a nice touch. The food is amazing and incredible value for money. The felafel wrap was great and the lamb dishes were equally as good. Generous portions, lovely friendly staff, they even offered us a dessert they were all having at the break of Ramadan. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Recently went into this shop after some good talk on it, complimentary soup on arrival. However half way through my meal spotted hair in my food. Looks very busy but staff fail to wear any protective gear, no hair nets, beard nets, gloves or washing hands. As I ate half my food and the restaurant was busy I politely paid for my food and left. The food was ok but the hair really let me down and I won’t be returning. I noticed they had previously received a 1 star food hygiene rating and hence featured on the local news upon searching for this place to leave a google review, very disappointed as this could of been a much better dining experience if the staff wore protective gear. You can’t walk around with big beards not having them protected I’m afraid that’s appalling guys. Very let down! The white lady server which seems new was constantly touching her hair upon further evaluation.

Waoo, you need to visit this place and have a taste of their chicken shawama, u will love it.

Terrible foods… tasteless ..oily …didn’t even use salt in their foods…kebab and Kuzi smells terrible and stale …. Never ever order again !!! Couldn’t even leave the food box in the bin had to take it out of the house ASAP… such a shame

Takeput The salad leaked and the dispatch thought it was his fault but it wasn't. There was liquid in the salad. He felt bad and I didn't like the sogginess. The food, however was very very lovely. My first try and it was really nice and filling. I had to remove the tomatoes and green peppers though.

Just popped in as they have reopened after a complete redecorate and modernising, sat down and was given a complimentary bowl of lentil soup which was piping hot and really tasty, a nice addition. The food was incredible! I definitely over ordered as it was just me, I had the meat shawarma with fries, salad and a flat bread as well as a mixed meat shawarma wrap. The plate was loaded with meat, fries and some.super fresh salad. The wrap, which was nearly my undoing, was also crammed with meat and salad, the bread was so soft and fluffy, the wraps and flat breads are made to order, because of the open kitchen you can see the guys working, it's a real joy. Food was all hot and fresh, incredibly tasty, the chilli sauce, more of a salsa than a sauce, was really tasty and really hot, but not burning, the whole place was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was buzzing too with a real hustle of locals and friends/family of the workers making it feel really welcoming and exciting, pricing is more than reasonable too, very affordable especially given the portion sizes. Can't wait to come back

Nergiz has just had over 60k spent on for refurbishment. The food today was amazing.

Service was poor and it’s extremely expensive. I don’t recommend it.

Things have gone downhill of late. Disappointed after the last visit.

Just been to negriz and I was completely blown away by far the best Turkish food I have ever tasted, i went in and was told I couldn’t have the chicken as was dry and not enough there this is true honest chef, chef not selling food that’s done. I had a kebab wrap, lovely salad and chilli sauce was banging. Thanks all.

You lot giving it less than 5 star are starved of decency, this is easily the best falafel place in Norwich, say less.

I have tried both meat cubes and chicken cubes. They are awful, I will never order them again. Also, Shawarma meat is not good, but the chicken is acceptable Therefore, I will give those stars just for the chicken shawarma. The workers are so dirty and use their naked hands. Some of them are smoke

This is my 5th time going here I wanted to give this place chances but it’s just horrible.. and I’ve tried most of the food on the menu.. the food is cold and little portion the food isn’t cooked properly.. usually Kurdish food is amazing other restaurants I went to .. but this restaurant is so bad please avoid going!!! Well priced decent food. Everything we ordered was tasty, of a good portion size and cooked fresh. This is one of those places where you go for the food, not the decor, but the tables are clean and the staff are polite. It is what it is, go hungry, enjoy the free soup, and try the biryani. At £4 a portion, it's brilliant!

Proper food, no messing around, just really good quality ingredients. The shawarma is incredible and the homemade bread is perfect! Amazing value for money and quick service. Just go here and forget about the chain restaurants or overpriced wannabes claiming to do the same. Proper good Kurdish food. 👉🌟👈

Used to love this place when it opened. The first 2 owners were really nice and friendly. The food was really good and large portions. With a soup as you sat down. Went back recently. It's been sold a 3rd time. The portions are tiny. Lady on till was rude. You say the number above on the board above counter. Usually a 7 or 9 for me. When I got to the till I was charged another £3. Won't be going back. Food is not great. Not much meat , salad not crispy looked like it had been there for days. Was really ill next day. Prefer a cafe further up the road.

I always prefer Nergiz and love the quality food they provide. The boys are very supportive and good. However went there yesterday & there was a lady receptionist I think with lots of attitude which was very disturbing at the time of payment. Customers will not be happy if they don't get a proper gesture or a greeting. Rest everything is fine. Recommended

Such a nice, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Real community vibe. Food is great. Wish they didn't run out of lamb shawarma so often though. Decor shabby but it doesn't matter...prices reflect this and tables are clean 👌

Walked in and ordered for takeout and both times I've been here have watched the staff carefully place everything in the chicken wrap almost like a piece of artwork. Super tasty and fair priced at around £6 for a wrap. Will come back 👍 Haven't dined in but the place was packed full of people.

We ate here today as it is one of the very few Halal places in Norwich and we thought that the food was very well priced for the serving size. We spent £16 including drinks for 2 of us. Overall the food tasted okay, the nan was a bit hard and chewy and the shawarma a little on the bland side but when eaten with some chilli sauce it went down very well. The complimentary soup was also a nice touch.

Used to really love the food here. After tonight I don't think I'll be back. It was an icy night so I can totally understand the delay in delivering to the house but after an hour to be greeted with squished food I feel so upset. The food was literally flattened, the chips soggy and covered in oil, I ordered 2 lamb Tikka, soup and salad. The order was flattened, had 5 pieces of lamb and no salad at all, the containers hadn't been shut correctly so the container of soup was split and open causing a mess to all other containers. I ordered 2 kebab as well and that had this hardened lard/fat stuck on the inside of the carton (photos attached), minimal salad (less than a handful) and was also squished. Ordered another side salad which wasn't included. The naans had been barely wrapped and were soggy. Both sauces hadn't been shut properly. Overall so so disappointed. Not normally one to complain but not happy after a £40 spend. Didn't have a great delivery before this either and this was the second chance delivery wise. Not happy. Did ring the restaurant who would replace but I didn't want to wait another hour as it's already half 8 at night and I couldn't collect.

We ordered chicken wrap for home delivery. They brought it fast and the guy was very kind. The food though was nothing special.The paper was full of oil and it was wrapped with the flatbread starting from inside next to the filling.So we had to either unwrap it all so we can eat it or eat and chew and the paper together with the flatbread. The flatbread was a raw rough dough difficult to cut even with a knife and the filling so little, just some pieces of red and green cabbage, some pieces of chicken and I literally counted one slice of tomato and one of cucumber(I was lucky, my husband had none of these😁). Plus you had to choose and extra buy the sauce for inside when in other kebabs I have eaten so far from other restaurants they include in the first price and you choose only flavour in the beginning after putting the filling. I decided to buy because when I walk outside the smell and the appearance of the restaurant are very attractive but unfortunately the taste disappointed me. Sorry😑 Expensive,little food, nothing special.

Sat in to order food with a group of 4, when speaking my order to the server and trying to ask for my dish + a drink was very aggressively told "We take the drinks order at the end" as if I was asking for something totally unreasonable to order my drink at the same time as my food. It was a completely unnecessary comment which soured the whole experience.

i cant say anything better than just say, this is the best place to eat. ever. just look at their food, they are delicious and i go there every weekend. best ever. will never forget
