Nene Cafe, Bar & Kitchen is an amazing little cafe with a friendly staff. Tulay's homemade lemonade is a standout and truly delicious. I will definitely be coming back for more of their delightful offerings.

This is a fantastic little place. This was our second visit as a staff team for brunch, and it won't be the last! The food is delicious and freshly cooked, and the drinks are amazing. I had the waffles with nutella milkshake and freshly squeezed orange juice - wow! The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. It was busy for a Friday morning, which shoes how popular it is. Definitely recommend 😋

The BEST food, drinks and service around

So we walked in and got seated by the waitress and no one returned for a good ten minutes was just left sitting there we was gonna leave at one point but we stayed. Eventually when they did decide to ask us if we wanted anything after being ignored for 10 minutes the coffee was really nice but my food was not so good. Scrambled eggs was tasteless absolutely no flavour in it what so ever on soggy bread that was meant to be toast so I sent it back. I then got an overcooked fried egg so for me didn’t go well My partner said her fry up was very nice We thought it was expensive 2 breakfasts 2 coffee’s at £30. Iv given it 3 stars only because my partner enjoyed her breakfast if it was based on me I would have give it 2 stars

After a number of visits I have consistently found Nene to be a really warm and friendly place to eat. Despite the relatively small interior you never feel cramped and the decor is bright and fresh. The staff are attentive and friendly, even if they do seem a little rushed when the place is busy, occasionally making minor errors with orders. However, this is easily corrected by staff and therefore forgivable. The menu has plenty of variety and lots of options for different dietary needs. Despite the menu size, the quality of the food isn’t affected and so far I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Overall I highly recommend Nene for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

A very disappointing lunch for four, will not be revisiting 1/ unacceptable wait time to order and receive meal 2/ portions were embarrassingly small especially on the salmon and shish dishes 3/ Food was over cooked 4/ No ambience/attention from waiter service 5/ over-priced 6/ one star awarded as cappuccinos were good Feels like this place had lost its sparkle especially with so much competition in the high street today’s lunch summed up…., “Underwhelming”

Cosy but roomy bistro with a really decent and varied menu. Welcoming, patient and accommodating serving staff. Something for everyone, burgers of all kinds look really good, sea bass excellent and nice salads too. Nice selection of drinks and a great 2 for 1 cocktail hour some evenings I noticed. Recommended.

The menu looked good so we thought, let’s give it a go. Great good which you really couldn’t complain about. I had the lamb stew which was hearty and so tasty. Would we return? Absolutely!!!

Very very bad experience at the Nene today. The food was really bad and on top of that it was not accurate to what we initially ordered. They served my food then served my husband 20 minutes after. I will never come back here!

I only had salad and it was ok, my daugter had the Greek salad but only had a few pieces of tomato, the rest was full of cucumber and cabbage underneath( my daugher hates it), so she didn't ate it. The waitress was nice.

Amazing local bistro to meet friends and eat or for just a coffee. My daughter informs me that they serve the best Oreo milkshake in Bromley. A must visit!

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's surprisingly impressive inside. Very decent portions of well cooked food, with a pleasant atmosphere, reasonably priced wine & excellent service. All in all, a very nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Maincose took almost more then 2 hours and salad on plate only green mixture very poor ,put some tomatoes cucumber at least, Service is so bad ,Burger so dry and salty left behind . Kitchen has lots of problem Hope they read our comments

This place doe's the best spaghetti Bolognese i know in London. If you not been here you're missing out on some fabulous food, the food gets better n better. I had been wanting to go to Nene for a few months since my friend told me about it, and finally I went today. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside. The food was so good! Great portion size, good value for money. There were 4 children with us, aged between 4 and 8 and they all had empty plates!! Even the fussy ones. The staff were lovely, very attentive and looked after the children really well. We look forward to going again, very soon! Thanks Nene!

They fed my 1 year old chicken that had been marinaded in Cows Milk yoghurt after we had reported her allergy as serious, they read the allergy book wrong and the chef was not aware of what was in the food. The owner did not take the incident seriously as he then left that member of staff in the restaurant the following day unsupervised. They almost killed my daughter. We were lucky to get her allergy kit to her promptly. Do not trust them. We don't want them to harm any others who may not be so lucky!

If you have an allergy makes sure you order through the manager, my daughter had an allergic reaction here and she is severely allergic to cows milk. Make sure you double check with them after your food arrives as well.

I ordered chicken and halloumi salad. The food was terrible, chicken was a day old and not crispy, the salad was bitter. This has been the scond time I have bought a take away from NeNe and its been awful. I remmeber when Ne Ne opened up, the food was immaculate, now its just gone down hill

We absolutely love Nene in Chislehurst, the staff are amazing, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. We also ordered takeout from them and the quality of food remains outstanding! Highly recommended!

Amazing authentic Turkish food. Delicious cocktails and lovely staff. The softest lamb i have ever tried and the tastiest home made chilli sauce. My new favourite restaurant will definitely be returning.

Ordered two lamb shish kebabs. Meat was chewy and was expecting chunking chips as this is what is served in restaurant but received over cooked soggy cold thin chips and smallest portion ever! Half the size of Macdonald’s children’s portion. Salad was incredibly small about two spoonfuls. Overall very disappointed. Seemed like they were trying to fit food into the takeaway container they had which was one main section with two smaller sections more suited for dipping sauce not salad or chips. Very bad value for money paying £35:68 for 2 kebabs and no pitta bread - will go to a kebab shop next time where price would be half.

Had a lovely experience here! Other than the service being a little slow as we went for lunch a busy time everything else was amazing. The food was devine, so much so we couldnt finish it and they gave us takeaway tubs for it. I had an amzaing burger with hallumi and two patties and still whish I could have another one now!

Popped in for a weekday lunch. Good service from lovely staff, nice decor. The food would do with more spice in my opinion, but everything was fresh and nicely presented.

Had an impromptu meal here last week and wow, I'm so glad we did. We were working in a nearby school and asked for a recommendation of somewhere within walking distance, so we could be back within an hour. The service was friendly, prices reasonable and food delicious. I had the Nene burger - which included two huge burgers (very juicy) and a slab of halloumi. Onion rings, fries, coleslaw and salad made up the rest of the dish. Everything was top notch. If I'm ever back that way, I'll be going back here for sure.

Worked in the area when they 1st opened. Probably 4 or 5 years ago now. Decent then, decent now. Always a pleasant experience. Food is excellent and nothing is a bother. Would highly recommend.

This place does lovely food and I have been here a few times with various friends and the food has always been on point. However the service is a bit too relaxed and it’s hard to flag down the waiting staff, drinks take forever to come out and tap water is just forgotten. A few minor tweaks and this place would be great

Whoever's on aux cord knows their stuff; asked for the playlist: relaxing whiskey blues on youtube - probably any of the top results will do. Food portions were hefty for their price (still pretty good actually) and didn't disappoint :) Decor is tasteful and there's also a nice outside sitting area as well, but the air-con inside is still fine.

Poor service, finished plates left for half hour until requested to clear. Tried to serve falafel that was obviously left over as was rock hard. Well over priced Prosecco, oner £20, rip off

Relaxed and friendly, with the feeling of a Mediterranean cafe. Substantial portions at very fair prices, given the good location. Our favourite place in the area by some way.

Really nice vibe, good food, good tea & cake if you go earlier. Good smoothies and good cocktails. The little outside area is really nice on a warm day. I honestly couldn’t fault this place except for one thing. The service is SO SLOW. Never go here in a hurry, you’ll be late, you’ll still be waiting for someone to notice you and take your order by the time you were hoping to leave. This isn’t due to them being busy, or understaffed some days. It’s literally an operational decision. They’ve even changed ownership and this has carried on. You’ll be ignored for your first order, and then again when you want to pay your bill. It won’t matter if the place is busy or if there’s genuinely not another soul in the place. It’s the reason for the star being taken off. I think if you just accept that you’ll be living your best chilled Mediterranean life here, you’re fine. Go when you have a couple of hours to chat, don’t go when your poor toddler is starving/bored/tired. *also the policy on dogs is odd, sometimes they’re allowed and sometimes they’re not.

Favourite place in Chislehurst to eat drink & chill out

We have been going since this place opened and was such a lovely place with great food and great customer service. Really wanted to stay loyal to this small business but today was the last time we will be visiting. The last year it has gone progressively downhill, not enough staff and you have to sit forever waiting to have your order taken, when it does finally come it’s generally wrong! Today me and my children sat for 30 minutes waiting for our our order to be taken, no acknowledgement that we’re waiting and then proceeding to take the orders of others who came after us-we walked out and went to Mirage down the road instead. Mirage was packed but friendly service, took our order within 5 minutes and we had our drinks 2 minutes later. Save yourself the hassle and price tag-just head over to Mirage instead!

Nice place and staff is polite. Menu is varied and the service is quick. I have been there a few times and will go back however Falafel were a bit too hard and portions could be bigger for the price!

Visited today. Vanilla latte was great. Big plate of salad which was well presented, with variety of vegetables.

I just walked in today and went to order to go, I am Turkish but don’t look it and I’m sad to say I heard all the staff mention and have a laugh at my expense of trying to pick something to eat at the till. Very outraged and was looking forward to eating there. Sadly now I won’t eat there again because of how they think they can get away with speaking Turkish amongst people who can’t and bad mouth them. Thanks.

I ate here this morning and sat outside under the heater with the sunshine beating down on the canvas. I ordered a New York bagel which was nothing less than divine. Food was delicious and staff were very pleasant. Well worth a visit.

Definitely one of my favourite places to eat without question! There is such a variety of dishes available which are all prepared deliciously which keeps us coming back regularly. Everything tastes healthier here, right from their homemade chilli sauce, pasta, chicken shish and kofte kebabs, salads and I cannot forget the hummus! The portions are extremely generous. Best of all the owners/staff all share a very accomodating and welcoming attitude at all times. Nothing is too much trouble and they even let you personalise a few things on the menus which is great. Selman always provides excellent service as do the entire team. A hidden gem!

What a beautiful little place. My friend comes here a lot and recommended + booked. The food was delicious! Turkish is one of my favourites and it did not disappoint. The food was hot, nicely spiced, well cooked - the chef's in this place know what they are doing! Food was amazing and authentic. Cocktails - also stunning attention to detail. This place serves cocktails properly!

Take away sausage sandwich took ages to get it then wandered home waiting to try this beaut…. Thats a joke really. Why have I got black burn residue on my sandwich? Why is it toasted when that wasn't asked for, did you leave it too long then need to warm it up again? Also why have I had to cover it in brown sauce because the sausage was burnt to a crisp? I am not sure what you was trying to do here but it was unsuccessful. All in all no just no. Wyy are you reheating stuff that can be made there and then, especially with my wait time. Just do better.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday with a friend. Great choice of light/substantial lunches and the falafel and halloumi wrap with fries was absolutely amazing, I would deffo return and get the same thing again. However the service was quite poor, the staff were not that friendly, they took forever to take the order/then we had to ask where our drinks were and then they brought the wrong side for my friends meal, they asked if we wanted sauces but then never brought it. So overall the service let the place down. The place wasn’t full or anything but even then , no excuse.
