Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday 7 of us great food service and a couple of free beers thrown in for the birthday boy. Highly recommended and will definitely be going again.

Visited a few years and remember loving the drinks. Came back yesterday and it’s even better than I remembered - think it may have been redecorated and it’s really pretty and cosy. The drinks are phenomenal and amazing value - staff are so attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to return!

Had breakfast a couple of times as it's local to where we live. Both times the cafe has been relatively busy, but the service speedy. There is a great choice of breakfasts and you can either go the healthy option or probably like most people, the greasy spoon option. I have done the second both times and it was great.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food came quickly and quite hot, was nicely presented and tasted delicious. Portion sizes were great, so much so that some of us couldn't eat it all, so we took what was left over as a carry out. The prices were also very reasonable.

I have taken my young daughter (4 year old) to this cafe/bistro on a number of occasions, the staff are excellent and very attentive, they always make us feel comfortable & welcome. The food is lovely as is the wine and cocktails, I highly recommend.

Went to Nene today for lunch, food as usual was great and substantial. Staff are really friendly. The owner, Pollat, helpful and takes time to make sure you’re happy. Lovely place to go

We love this family owned restaurant. Excellent service every time, lovely friendly atmosphere, great menu for adults and kids alike and a very welcome break from the chains that dominate the high street. Check out the specials board too, the slow-roast lamb kleftico with potatoes was absolutely amazing. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and won't break the bank so we can go more often!

My husband and I went for an impromptu meal out on a Monday evening. Although it wasn't packed (where is on a Monday?) there were enough customers to create a relaxed atmosphere. We both ordered from the set menu and the food was really good. Will definitely go back.

Excellent full English breakfast which was piping hot and really nicely cooked, and at five pounds is good value for money, really helpful staff who are attentive but not intrusive. The only thing that lets this place down is its unbearably hot and could do with air con or effective fans. But aside from that the food is excellent the staff friendly and it's well worth a visit.

Gem of a place. Food is outstanding and reasonably priced. Owners interested in customers without intruding. Waiter excellent. Great ambience. Pavement tables great in the hot weather. Chis is full of food, but doubtful you will get better than this.

Duck wraps are truly fantastic. Staff cheerful, helpful and grateful that you have chosen their cafe. They have a good menu and are now a firm family favourite.

Decided to pay a visit after high recommendation from our neighbour. We certainly weren't disappointed. Food was hot and freshly prepared and the waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite. Was busy for a Thursday lunchtime, lots for people constantly coming through the door, which goes to show how popular Nene is. We are looking forward to returning soon for an evening meal. Well done.

Was busy since it was Mother's day but we were greeted like old friends and shown straight to a clean table and offered teas and coffees which arrived swiftly as we viewed the comprehensive menu. The food soon arrived and was well presented as well as being very tasty. Despite the arrival of plenty of other customers, we at no point felt rushed. A really good experience. Thank you to all concerned.

We had delightful ladies brunch here and the menu is vast and we were spoiled for choice. Hot drinks were lovely too. We will be back to try out other menus, having ordered from the brunch menu this time.

My first visit but won't be the last. It was very busy but great service from a friendly staff. Food was tasty and at a reasonable price.

Came here with my sister for an early dinner at 5 left at 9…. Very tasty food, small & large bites, good choice, good value for money. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff. I love this restaurant, it is a super friendly, welcoming little hub with a huge choice of great, fresh food at a good price. It has a real community, welcoming feel with tasteful decor and good vibes.

Came in today with 3 adults, 3 babies (4 months old) and 3 prams…. It’s (understandably) not always easy to find somewhere to go with space for us but the team at Nene couldn’t have been more accommodating (as well as the other diners) - thank you so much! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming, we’ll definitely be back! (Sorry 😂)

Really gone downhill! We are regular customers, there every other week. We reserved a table for lunch on Saturday, turned up at the right time and the extremely rude waiter said there's no tables for us because no one has left!! We said we reserved a table! He still refused rudely! As when we came 2 weeks ago on a Saturday, there were tables reserved and we were told because we don't have reservation we can't have a table. Today turned up with reservation and told no table!! You really know how to treat your regulars! Don't bother with this place, it's really gone downhill, go to Cote, much better food and excellent service.

Great bar but why did they take the mixed grill off the menu? We have been told it's coming back but when........ Highly recommended...

A real find. Excellent coffee in a decent sized cup. Very good value full English Breakfast or various other options . The service is friendly and welcoming. Decor is industrial/ rustic style and welcoming. Parking can be tricky but there is a car park behind the post office opposite . I am now a regular visitor.

We visited on a Tuesday evening - it wasn't terribly busy but still a nice atmosphere. The service was good and the portions generous. I had the shepherds lamb and my wife had kleftico- both very well cooked and good value for money - would recommend....

Visited last Sunday lunchtime. Had a great meal with good food, big portions, very good service and great value for money - they even have a Sunday lunch menu which is cheaper. The service is always very good. Would highly recommend.

Café Nene's is a regular stop for us, we generally order the wraps which are delicious and generous. We seem to only ever order the elder flower cordial as it's just so darn fresh and fantastic. It's great with kids which is handy as Chislehurst rec is nearby.

Popped in mid morning last weekend for breakfast. The bistro is lovely. The decor is fab and the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast was very good and the coffee lovely. The service was good. We will definitely go back. It's especially good to have an independent in Chislehurst which opens early every day. I hope Cafe Nene will be very successful and I for one will be supporting this lovely bistro.
