Having been to this eatery before and been delighted this visit was not good, after change of ownership. We tried the menu after the new owners took over and what a huge disappointment. The roast dinner was tepid in temperature. The chicken (small amount) was so dry I needed water to wash it down. The batters were plainly tiny hard shop bought and the parsnip were very hard as if barely or badly cooked. After we had finished what we wanted I had to go to the counter to pay as we had waited so long for them to collect our plates we were not sure if they were going to. Another couple who arrived sent their food back too. I would not recommend.

Rooms shoddy and in a state of dis-repair eg the radiator in room 17 was ripped out and replaced with an electrical o e which did not work. The shower was broken and there is a screw sticking up in the bath room which I caught my foot on causing me to bleed when mentioned to staff they said they'd sort it 4 days later it was still the same. Which I suspect is still the same now. The staff were very unhe

Brandon RoadNice venue, shame about the staff! Food for lunch was ok, nothing amazing. But what really let it down was the staff! Could not be bothered to check if mayo was dairy free (found out later that it was), water never arrived. Not friendly. And then had the cheek to add a service charge to the bill!!! We requested that it was removed. Such a shame as the location and venue looked nice.

Griston RoadLovely, genuine old thatched pub, with lovely staff. The food could not be faulted and the portions were more than generous. Definitely intend to return.

The GreenWe didn't eat here but we hear good things about the food. The beer was nice (Albion stout) but it would be nice to have a selection that isn't a woodfordes. A good Guinness on tap would be great.
