I’ve visited Ned’s Noodle Bar at Westgate Mall several times over the past couple of months, and it has consistently impressed me. The staff are always friendly and helpful. During my initial visits, I had a lot of questions about the menu, and they took the time to provide clear and helpful responses, which made me feel welcome and confident in my choices. A special shoutout to the manager, Mohammed, who goes above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience. He greets customers warmly, checks in on how they’re doing, and creates a positive atmosphere every time. The food is absolutely amazing. I’ve tried several dishes on the menu, and I’m yet to find anything I didn’t enjoy. My favorite is the Thai Spicy sauce with egg noodles—perfectly flavorful, fresh, and satisfying every time. Service is also outstanding. My meals are always prepared fresh and hot, and the speed is impressive—it usually takes just about five minutes, which is so convenient, especially when you’re in a rush. If you’re looking for a delicious, quick, and friendly dining experience, I highly recommend Ned’s Noodle Bar!

Completely overpriced at £14 and absolutely disappointing. The noodles dish tasted like nothing but sugar and chilli, with no depth of flavour. It looked nothing like the photo – there were no green vegetables, just cheap, bland carrots. Not worth the money at all.

Udon noodles overcooked. Beef of minor quality; worse than chewing gum. Taste as if sth had burned in the frying pan and pan not properly cleaned. Almost only noodles: seems to be the cheapest ingridient. Carrot's texture as if frozen veggies. Almost 13£ for the large is way to expensive for what you get.

Plenty of dry noodles, no sauce or meat. Very dry and hard to eat just noodles. They gave me the wrong noodles. Disappointing meal , overpriced for plain dry noodles .

Horrible comida. Fideos apilados con poca o ninguna proteína. Apenas podía contar los trozos de proteína y mucho menos las verduras que tenía y todo lo que había eran fideos, sin salsa solo comida contundente. nunca más voy a cometer el error de comprar allí de nuevo. I used to order Singapore udon noodles more than 20x. but recently, the taste was worst (3x in a row and since June 2024) . there is no taste. it just plain and a little bit sour. too far from original taste that I used to buy. I will not buy again unless Neds make an improvement

Qué asquerosa comida sirven. No era auténtico. Comí Udon japonés con mariscos y salsa de frijoles negros. Mi hijo tenía carne y arroz. Habíamos tirado completamente la basura. El mío sabía dulce. He comido salsa de frijoles negros en todo el mundo y esto seguramente ha llegado al primer lugar para lo peor. En total gastamos más de 23 libras incluyendo un paquete de galletas de langostinos. Podría arrojar el dinero al inodoro. Qué comida más asquerosa. La gente no desperdicia su dinero ganado con tanto esfuerzo aquí. Hay muchos otros buenos puntos de venta de alimentos en Oxford. Disculpas por escribir una crítica tan negativa.

If I could give 0 I would. Never had such a bad food poisoning in all my life. Started feeling funny just after 20 min of eating udon noodle with some sauce. I felt like I was about to faint and I ended up vomiting everything I just had, in the car, on the way home. It's definitely overpriced, plus I ordered prawns and duck and only had few prawns and zero duck. Horrible experience. I should have read the reviews beforehand.

Worst noodle ever I had! Chicken was half cooked smelly! Noodles were soggy and smelly. Price is too high. Definitely this place is overrated. Food lovers must stay away from this horrible food taste

I don't normally review restaurants, but the food here (Oxford) was AMAZING!!!! The calamari were the best I ever had the rice with prawn vegetables and teriyaki sauce delicious. I can't wait to be back!

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have better reviews! It eat here every time I’m in the area and I’ve never had a bad experience. They have a lovely variety of options. After trying several combinations I typically get the Jasmine rice. I switch back and forth between chicken/beef and soy/oyster sauce. The best part is that it’s halal and affordable!

I was going here on my lunch from work, with my lanyard around my neck (has my work name on it) and just my phone (because I’ve just came on my lunch) I was served by the rudest man with black hair and a beard, first 0 for customer service, then when I requested to use my staff discount (as I work in westgate) he refused as I didn’t have my physical card with me. I even offered to show my payslip which I literally received today! I think you’d have to be very dumb, or just rude to not understand that I have just came on my lunch from where i work to not give me my westgate discount (literally 10% off for westgate staff) I have never been treated like this at there before, usually everyone is lovely and unfortunately will not be going back. Instead I ended up going to tommys burgers (which may I add was 10/10 for service, food and everything and completely understood that I just came from work so I’m not carrying my physically card around)

Food is not authentic for sure. You would feel as if you are eating desert as it’s just sweet.

I don’t normally post bad reviews but I really thought this one of the worst meals I have had, in a long time. We ordered 3 types of noodles - sweet and sour for my son, wonton udon soup, and veg egg noodles. All were gross, with no natural flavourings, nasty pre-made sauces and no authenticity. I was really surprised and feel they could be using far nicer broth for soup (tasted like black bean and thick and gloopy). Anyway the staff were very nice

Had noodles with beef. The noodles were good but the beef was tough and included several pieces of gristle which I had to spit out.

The man serving me and my friends was very rude, sarcastic and unwelcoming. He put us off ever coming back here through his lack of customer relation skills.

Went for dinner yesterday, amazing, simply amazing Loved the spice dish recommended by a very welcoming gentleman behind the counter Just the right amount of spice in a very flavoursome dish

The steamed jasmine rice with chicken and Thai green curry sauce (which they recommended and they were not wrong!) was so delicious had to write a review. Everything was so fresh. The rice tasted lovely and the chicken with Thai green sauce was just as nice and it came with a variety of vegetables which went down really well. The noodles with various different options were just as nice and we all really enjoyed it and the experience. Not too sure why such low ratings, maybe different combinations don't work as well, but we were very very happy with our meal and will definitely being looking out for Neds on our travels.

Unfortunately the food was really bad, left my portion almost intact, noodles weren’t really fried and were tasteless, box was just a mash of noodles, with few prawns, I think for the price is not worth. Service and place was ok though

Ordered a large and got 4 prawn, food did not taste, I expect more for the price. Calimari was alright definitely better options in the food court. Don’t waste your time and money

Great customer service and absolutely delicious food ! Just literally took couple of minutes to prepare fresh and the most delicious noodles I have ever tried in Oxford . My little one was munching with both hands!!! Supper tasty !

I read the reviews for Ned's Noodles after I'd ordered, otherwise we might not have bothered. However, we were actually quite pleasantly surprised by at least one of the two dishes ordered (Thai green curry chicken with rice and sweet & sour chicken with veggies only). Fitstly, portion size. The boxes were heavy with food, and packed to the gills! We had asked for extra chicken, and there was chicken aplenty in both meals. The thai green curry was the favourite of the two, and it had a decent bit of warmth and spice, and tasted quite nice. The sweet & sour chicken was, to be honest, a little bland (as suggested by other reviewers) and the sauce a little thinner than expected, but a bit of soy sauce and ketchup manis definitely helped. I'd order something other than this next time, but was pleased that I'd given this place a go.

Overcooked squid and waste of money

Area is nice etc. but the noodles are just so bad. Had the sweet/sour. It tastes neither sweet nor sour. So watered down and horrible, for nearly 10 quid. And a ridiculous little cardboard box to eat out of

Food doesn't satisfy the expectations one has as a customer. I highly suggest choosing a local alternative. Sweet&sour is only sweet, portions are quite small, prices expensive. Noodles are tasteless, the duck is alright but there is barely any in the box.

The Sweet and Sour Chicken tasted like vinegar. The veg, especially the broccoli tasted rancid. Asked if we could have a refund, but he offered something else on the menu but we declined.

The food was Quite Bland! no flavour and all the sauce just ran off the noodles. The only thing going for it is the location and the novity Chinese boxes. You're just paying for the label not the food!

I got the large portion and it was large, however the food was awful and because of that the £12 I paid seemed a lot, sorry. ---- No, I haven't talked to the team because they were too busy and it felt wrong.

This is a common noodle bar in a food court. The food was okay. However, the ginger slices on top of the noodles did not suit me well. The common hall for eating is clean and well organized.

A single carrot in a vegetable box. No sauce. Basically just terrible noodles in a box for £10. Absolutely do not recommend.

great experience! the food was prepared very fast, absolutely delicious and also halal! i liked how they used token buzzer things so you knew when to get pick up your order. there are many places to sit, tables or stools on the counter. also places to charge devices within the area. i recommend the udon noodles and i definitely recommend coming here in general.

Took our 11 month old here whilst on holiday today and asked if we could have the veg, meat and noodles without salt or sauces etc and they were very accommodating and pleasant. They went out of their way to ask about daughter, the booth we sat at was comfortable, the highchair was supplied with a table so very useful and the food tasted food. No issues at all and would return.

I chose ‘Singaporean hot’ sauce, it taste very well! I love it!👍🏻 really wanted to keep this sauce😍

Going to be brutally honest I’m not one to complain but they might have been the worst noodle I’ve ever eaten my partner and I ordered the exact same thing. One came completely dry with almost no sauce . Both contained carrots and vegetables that have evidently come straight from a freezer bag . What you really want when ordering noodles is your beef to look like it had already been chewed (I hope it wasn’t) safe to say we both did not eat our food!

Extremely poor establishment. Noodles have no taste and are just dunked in oil, prawns are overcooked. Staff is quite rude and inpatient when ordering and asking for anything extra like napkins or forks.

If you want meat in your vegetable noodles, this is the place to come. When pointed out, staff couldn't be less bothered, no attempt at refund or to replace.

Decided to pop into The Social as it was so cold walking round Westgate. We were quickly informed by security that if we wished to stay we would have to get food at any of the locations available. There were plenty of options to choose from, including gluten-free options, and took no time at all for it to be made,

Came to Oxford for the day on Sunday , came across this noodle bar. The food was piping hot and tasted lovely. Everyone was super friendly. Sat and watched all being prepared. Would def recommend

SLOW, 15 minute wait in queue and then they give you a buzzer to wait even longer. Did anyone tell them this was meant to be fast food ? Burrito place next to it pushing people through much faster and actually giving them food. Food itself ok, by then you are desperate for it.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had 🤮 prawns were the size of smarties and felt like eating sand. The beef could get away as chewing gum. The rice was dry, the flavour was bland with unnecessary amounts of spice. For the price paid, I at least expected something edible.

First time visiting, and we weren't disappointed. I had noodles with yakisoba sauce and vegetables, my husband had rice with yakisoba sauce and chicken, with a side order of the spring rolls. We were both happy with the portion size - very filling. And the food was tasty and served steaming hot. In reply to others' reviews of too much sauce / lack of vegetable variety - all I can say is that the amount of sauce I had was perfectly fine and there was a good selection of vegetables.

Had no flavour whatsoever. Prawn and squid was bland. We had Chinese bbq and Malaysian and both were flavourless. Asked for soy sauce which they clearly didn’t put in in the first place and you have to pay for that separately. Save your money and go to the chicken or Mexican place. Worst 20 quid I’ve ever spent. Couldn’t even finish it it was that tasteless.

Good luck finding chicken or veg in your chicken and veg noodle box. They're so stingy yet the price doesn't reflect the fact that the box is 99.9% noodles.

If you like noodles, then this is a must visit spot, you can customise your noodles to the way you want, freshly made and full of flavour. Portion size is decent as well

Honestly so disappointing. Staff are clearly cutting veggies to save money, not a single piece of broccoli or pepper. Mentioned to the manager, offered to make a new one. Just make sure if you go you tell them not to cut the veggies.

Don’t recommend this place, noodles are drenched in sauce, very little beef and veggies are 95% cabbage (burnt cabbage).
