Native Manchester in Manchester

Just returned home from a fantastic night away at Native Manchester! The location is perfect for shopping and dining in the city, and situated right next to Piccadilly station with underground car parking. We were looking for somewhere to stay that we could feel home from home, just to chill out, and Native exceeded all our expectations! We stayed in a premium one bed apartment it was absolutely fantastic, very spacious and immaculately clean. The building is unique, and apartments are furnished to a very high standard. The lobby has a coffee and eating area and on Saturday night there was a DJ on the decks which was really cool. Native has a very friendly & chilled atmosphere, with a trendy & upmarket vibe. We would like to give a special mention & thanks to Charlie on reception, he was so friendly and helpful when I called up regarding making a booking, and then when we arrived, we couldn’t get the Chromecast to work, he took the time to come up and sort it all out for us! Charlie definitely made our stay much more enjoyable thank you so much! I would highly recommend staying here and if we return to Manchester we will definitely be back!

It's a shame that neither reception or restaurant staff told us that as guests we got a 15% discount on food and drink. Otherwise lovely as ever, and very dog friendly.

We got married and decided we wanted to stay in a hotel for a mini-moon and this came up as a reasonable price. We had the best experience with the staff, the apartment was well stocked and so stylish. Comfy bed, hot shower, central location.

We stay at Native regularly for business and pleasure and the service (Corporate booking team, through to on site staff) is always to an extremely high level. We continually recommend Native & Ducie Street to clients and friends and have also looked to integrate into multiple events, partnerships and talent projects we work across as a venue / accommodation recommendation (And will continue to do so)

We really enjoyed our stay at Native. We booked a Premium Suite which was huge. I guess it was north facing which made it a bit dark but otherwise was a really nice room. Native is dog friendly and we took our dog with no issues. The vibe in the ground floor area is great; DJs in the evening, a nice bar and good food. Reception staff were friendly and helpful (including our request for late check out). The hotel is less than 5 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and about the same to Canal Street, so well located. In a city full of decent hotels, Native is definitely up there and I would stay again. Note that they have building works right now and drilling starts at 8am.

Do not stay at this hotel if you drive , I stayed there on the 7th of Feb, when I checked in I asked the man at reception is my car safe in the hotel car park , the answer I got was yes its safe there, I have just got a 100 pound parking ticket, I am so angry an rang the hotel to complain an spoke to the manager, I was told its nothing to do with them, an we tell people to park there, I WAS NOT TOLD PARK THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK or I would of moved my car, I carnt believe the hotel manager says we tell people to park there knowing they will get 100 pound parking fine , this disgusting behaviour from a manager, so people who do stay here beware!! I will never stay here again

I enjoyed my stay at Native, Manchester. I love where it is situated...in a quirky warehouse and surrounded by cool companies such as Blok and Freddies Flowers - great vibe and concept and attracts a cool mixed crowd! The rooms were lovely and inviting too - modern and polished and I'm looking forward to the renovations being completed.

Had mobile phone stolen as I waited for the lift and so did two others complaining at front desk. Avis open to general public be careful of who is milling about and watch your stuff as pick pockets at work. Reception did not reply to my request for cctv coverage of the lift area - despite chasing

The rooms were stylish, clean and spacious. We loved the bar area + it was well worth paying that little extra for breakfast to be included, delicious. Thank you for having us.

Another great stay at Native Manchester. The rooms are smaller since the renovation work but still well appointed and clean. Bed super comfy. It’s our preferred hotel when visiting Manchester so will defo stay again.

Stunning and vast apartment, amazing brick and steel architecture, excellent dinner with outstanding service, very comfortable bed. Dark decor, small window and low lighting in apartment dramatic but somewhat gloomy and hard. Extensive breakfast selection but if you avoid nuts leaves only two options - no cereals. We had an excellent stay overall but some scope to improve.

I think it is one of the best hotels/apartments I have ever stayed at. Perfect location, cool vibe throughout, friendly staff at reception, interior design was gorgeous, big comfy bed. The only thing I would change is that I only stayed for one night, wish I had booked for longer!

This is a nightclub, not a hotel. They have DJs until midnight on the weekend in the lobby of the hotel. You can hear it very clearly in the room and it vibrated through the floor. One of the worst nights of sleep I’ve ever had.

Have had better stays with Native. The building work was quite disruptive, they started at 8am and finished late. They also tripped the fire alarm.Some prior notice would have been appreciated. Room (studio) was great but I could very clearly hear noises and door bangs from other guests. Day of leaving there was a private event which was inconvient as I hoped to work from there until departure, again some prior warning or communication about it would have been appreciated

We had a night at the studio apartment and really loved staying there! It was simply the best. Can't wait to come back again!

Review drafts: Short: I would avoid this hotel. Longer: I travel for work 260 days out of the year, average 2-3 days per city.. for the past 16 years. So I would think I know a thing or two about hotels. The Native. The first impression was great, seemed like very friendly staff in a hip/trendy kinda warehouse-turned-hotel type of place. The cookies they sell at the entrance are amazing! Once past the cookie stand, you’re choices are either left to get to the elevator/front desk, forward to get to the bar or right to get to the gym* (I have a lot to say about this…). Initial impressions of the room were pretty good. Large spacious apartments, some have washer and dryers and some don’t. Dishwashers seem to be a common theme across the board in the kitchenette. The bathroom has a heated towel rack, which is pretty cool. So far it seems like a pretty sweet deal right? Ok let’s get down to it shall we.. Let’s start with the gym.. So you know how even the most basic hotels have some sort of fitness center even if it’s just a treadmill? This one does not. They’re wall to wall with BLOK or something like that. It’s a group fitness/class sort of thing. However it’s not free. As a guest you get a 35% discount. It would be one thing if it was free, but it’s a class kinda place… just get a rack of dumbbells, a bench and a treadmill, like every other hotel. 0/5 stars. Working our way from the gym, let’s talk about the big lobby/bar area. They host events. Like all hotels. The difference is that they block off the bar/lobby area, forcing guests to walk in through the back door with only access to the front desk and elevators. Pretty lame when there’s a whole day event booked and you can’t eat breakfast, grab a drink after a day of work or whatever you would normally do. The WiFi! It blocks WhatsApp messages, so you can’t use WhatsApp if you’re on the WiFi. And it’s pretty slow. Last, the rooms. Initial impressions were great, but with the old warehouse conversion there are brick walls. Brick walls do not insulate and they do not block sound. You hear everything your neighbors do. Everything.on a positive note though, the bed was really comfortable! So here’s how I averaged the stars in my review: Room: 3. WiFi: 0. Staff: 3. Amenities: 2. Location: 4. Gym: 0. Vibe: 3. Walkability: 4. Average: 2.38, rounding to 2 stars. These reviews are just honest impressions relative to other hotels in the same price range around the world. Not looking to provide additional feedback. Not looking for compensation/rewards, the hotel is always booked by my company and I have no part in the hotel decision.

This place is unreal, so spacious and such a perfect location. The staff were so accommodating and allowed me to rebook when I was unwell to a later date. Stacey, a housekeeper, lent me her charger for the night, without hesitation.

I recently stayed at Native Manchester and, while the hotel was stylish and the on-site staff were friendly, the management’s handling of my booking issue was disappointing. Before my stay, I noticed a price drop for the same room type I had booked and enquired about their "Lowest Price Guarantee." Despite providing evidence, I was informed the policy only applies to third-party rates, a detail not clearly stated on their website. The lack of transparency in this policy left me frustrated, as it strongly implied it covered direct bookings. Although I appreciated their offer of a complimentary upgrade as a goodwill gesture, I had explicitly declined it in favour of a partial refund of the price difference. Despite this, I was placed in the upgraded room, which made me feel my preferences were ignored and my concerns dismissed. While the stay itself was pleasant and the staff professional, the lack of clarity and responsiveness in addressing my issue overshadowed the experience. Guests should exercise caution and confirm the terms and conditions when booking directly, as the stated guarantees may not apply as expected. Transparency and customer service improvements are needed to ensure guest trust.

Excellent place. Great restaurant. Booked for 11 for Sunday lunch and it was perfect. Lovely staff, amazing food and great atmosphere.

Floor is under renovation So effectively was put in a building site 8:00 Sunday morning woke to builders noise and materials everywhere Complained at reception was told that they thought room shouldn’t have been sold But no manager on duty Later on that day still no manager on duty and nothing reception could do

I was so impressed with Native! The location is amazing (two mins walk from Piccadilly Station), the apartments are really comfy and well-equipped, the vibe is great and the breakfast is delicious. It's also super dog friendly. Would definitely stay again.

First time staying here at Native Manchester and we really enjoyed it. Firstly, the building itself is so interesting & full of character. Even the upper floor lobby areas are appealing The room was cracking, clean, spacious and again full of industrial character. The kitchenette was a great addition and came in handy. The front desk team were welcoming and extremely helpful. On site, secure, underground parking was a massive plus for us too! Thank you Native, we will return

Excellent accommodation! Native thought of everything! Mini cini, bloc gym, roof terrace. Apartments are spacious! Breakfast is hearty! Mancie at reception was very helpful and made the weekend so memorable ! Thank you. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great location and friendly staff, however rooms are beginning to look tired now. The room I was in had broken bulbs and those that were in place were a mixture of daylight and warm white which wasn’t a relaxing environment. Noted undergoing refurbishment so hopefully will see some changes.

Really nice apartment, very clean and great staff

Stayed for 6 days and because they are “apartments” they don’t clean the room during the stay. Room was very small for being an “apartment”. My room was pretty dirty, mold in the shower, cob webs on the ceiling, an elevator was broke for a few days, just not a great experience. Staff were lovely but unfortunately won’t be staying again.

If you need a place where they only clean once a week (not even towel changed), there is no long mirror or any mirror -as a matter of fact - to sort your hair out with an hairdryer, where you find sticky cutlery and mugs with residue of kitchen towels in the kitchen, where the "receptionists" are too cool for school (and overall pretty useless and rude) and the barmen (barwomen) are extremely careful about using the lowest possible amount of alcohol in their "cocktails", then, that's your place. Stay clear of this ridiculous place if you want a clean room, decent service and a pleasant experience.

Brilliant service and great staff

I stayed here for two nights for my hen do. The apartments are spacious, clean and modern. They have all the amenities you need. One of the bathrooms did have a few bits falling off in the shower and not all the soap dispensers worked. There was also some confusion with different staff about the breakfast bags which are supposed to be included in the stay. My friends and I each got different items included in our bags. However the bag my apartment received had a croissant, granola and yoghurt and some biscuits and juice which was all lovely. There was also tea, coffee and sugar already in the room. I would recommend staying here again, the hotel has a great vibe and lovely spacious rooms.

Second stay at Native and can’t wait to return again in September. As always incredible friendly service from all staff, amazing location, clean rooms and incredible price for parking too!

Rooms were designed terribly and the staff were very poor mannered when we tried to relay our experience.

Great venue, relaxed space downstairs and the apartment was spacious, well decorated with great showers and comfy beds. Dealt with several staff over the course of our stay and they were all friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend this place for your stay in Manchester.

One of the best places I have lived in Manchester, very close to the city centre

This was my second time staying at this hotel and sadly it was way worse, and will definitely be the last time! Our room was filthy, the floor and sofa had clearly not been cleaned as there was dust, dirt, hair all over. This was the same on the sofa in the room, it was covered in hairs but was also very dusty. We were staying with a dog but these weren’t dog hairs, they were human. Even after asking for the room to be cleaned and it “looking” clean, sadly after putting on a fresh pair of black socks I was easily still able to find a lot of debris stuck to them! Not impressed considering the price. The reason we chose here was because it’s advertised as being doggy-friendly, but staying this time we noticed how loud the music was in the reception so staying with a nervous dog wouldn’t be advised. The other negative was how badly sound & smell-proofed the rooms were. Smell-proofed were an interesting one, basically when a neighbour cooks any food in their kitchen unit the smells come straight into your room. This was really uncomfortable, unpleasant and is not what you expect for the price. Our room was also pretty hot, we could open the window but it overlooked a car park and was the main thoroughfare to Piccadilly station so throughout the night all you hear is people, so don’t leave it open if you want to sleep.

Just back from my 3rd stay here and I absolutely loved everything about the Native! It is in the perfect location for exploring Manchester and the rooms are a particular highlight and amazing value. I have stayed in a studio, premier studio and suite and all were of an exceptional standard. The decor perfectly complements the architecture of the building. The friendly staff at reception are another asset to the hotel and on all 3 visits they have been welcoming and helpful. The terrace is also the perfect spot for a drink in the sun and the music and whole vibe is chilled. If you are planning a visit to Manchester I would highly, highly recommend a stay here and it is the only place I would stay in the city. I can't wait for my next stay here.

The location is great whether you're driving or arrive via train or other transport. The property has an amazing layout and the room was very generous and well equiped. Would definately recommend a stay here. The only thing the hotel needs to keep on top of is the overall cleaniness. There were cobwebs and some of the surfaces where not thatvwell cleaned (possibily an isolated incident). Would still recommend a stay, as this is still a very good hotel to stay at.

Stylish hotel, lovely staff, very fun areas to hang out and great amenities. Absolutely dog friendly :). The three of us enjoyed our stay. Shame we didn't have time to use the mini cini or do any blok classes since I was there for a work trip, next time! We would come again :)

The Native Manchester is an amazing stay right in the heart of Manchester. As close as you can get to Piccadilly Station yet quiet and in a beautifully restored space. This will be our only choice for future visits to Manchester. Great value, great atmosphere and a great location. The rooms come with fully equipped kitchens and are very spacious, modern and clean.

We had a lovely stay. The room was perfect and so reasonably priced. We loved the bar in the reception and had a nice drink before going out for our meal. The hotel is in a perfect location and made for a lovely anniversary. Also like to mention the staff on reception, very welcoming and friendly. Luckily no issues so we did not speak with anyone after that but everything was 10/10

Just back from our 3rd stay at this superb hotel. Previous 2 trips just my wife and I, however last night we took the kids for a treat. Our stay last night started off not so good with us having technical issues with the connectivity of the TV in the room - which wasn't great with a 15 and 13 year old. However Joe on reception was simply amazing. Despite his best efforts, he could resolve the issue and so upgraded us to a penthouse which, I can honestly say, is the most luxurious hotel stay experience any of us have ever had. Joe also hand delivered a round of drinks from the bar to our room as further apologies for the inconvenience of having to move rooms, coupled with an extended check out time of 12.00 noon the next day so we could enjoy the penthouse for as long as possible. As I say, this was our 3rd time at this hotel and could have easily been our last had Joe not dealt with our issues in such a professional and courteous manner. He really did, single handedly turn a poor experience into what was the best hotel experience either of us have ever had. His above and beyond approach to customer service and level of care he shows to the guests at the hotel are what makes Native Manchester a superb place to stay and he is an absolute assett to the company. Massive thank you once again Joe, The Wallwork family.
